Was Aspen trying to taunt her on purpose? Lamia opened her mouth to try and tell her that it definitely wasn't what the Autumn girl was thinking, but trying to speak out loud in this group would only lead to making her look like an absolute idiot. If she was being honest with herself, she had no idea how to respond to such a statement like that, and it would be dangerous to speak her mind... Like before in the past. After that less-than-cordial relapse, she couldn't find much thrill in talking about whatever she wanted, much less what she thought, and she wasn't going to oppose or deny it. She really wasn't the best prepared for anything like this.
Which was why she avoided people.
Lamia's eyes swept over the ground, her face obscured by some of her bangs, and she kept spinning her right heel into the floor, trying to keep her mind off the issue. It wasn't anything important... Aspen definitely didn't know about how the vacation ended. Or what happened. All of those were accidents. And all of them didn't mean anything necessarily. Stupidstupidstupidstupid. Magic taking her there was simply friendly... and because she could keep secrets.
So she just gave a weak smile, not saying a word or making a sound.
