Easter Egg Hunt [Mission]

"Bad choice."

Then, three bullets came from different directions.

"Come and find me, little student."

Her voice was everywhere and nowhere.

She won't hold still! She's everywhere! Either she has a power, or she's not human. . .

Kirin let her arrow fly as the bullets rang in and bounced off her skin. She readied another arrow, realizing she likely missed the target, "That's a neat trick, using the ambiance of this jungle to mask your true location. However, bullets fly in straight lines." she rushed towards where the bullets where coming from.

"Do they?"
Then, a bullet bounced off of a tree near her and then smacked into the skin. "My bullets aren't steel."

Then, another shot rang out. A strangled bird's cry rang out, and a small bush fire roared to life nearby.

Kirin quickly reanalyzed her surroundings and discovered several chunks of trees were missing from this woman's bouncing bullets. She quickly ascertained the woman's new position, assuming she wasn't using some strange power to make her bullets bounce, she would only be able to create one bend in the trajectory before the ballistic power of the bullets became negligible.

"I can destroy you~" the voice sang, and she didn't speak another word.

Kirin didn't pause in her search, "Then prove it. Face me, like a true warrior!!"

About then, Kotori fell out of a nearby tree with a sickening crack that could only be a bone breaking. She hissed a series of profanities rarely heard outside of ports or bars.
"She won't hold still. She's absolutely everywhere. Either she has a power, or she's not human."

Talon swooped down beside her. Thankfully, he wasn't the injured bird.

Kirin paused for a moment, trying to decide if she should return to Kotori to assist her or continue after their assailant. She figured Kotori could take care of herself. She continued after the sniper. She managed to find her and shot her with an arrow. The woman exploded in flurry of smoke. "Damn." she mumbled under her breath. "Coward!" she screamed at the jungle.

"Coward? Ha! A coward runs! Am I not battling, like you?"

Another gunshot whizzed by, which almost hit Kotori. It would have, if Talon hadn't jerked her out of the way by her hair.

Kirin was getting frustrated by her assailant, "I didn't realize I was hiding in the shadows. This isn't even my favorite weapon either. Come, out of the dark with you, let us trade steel." she slung her bow across her back and summoned her favorite sword. A katana with a red wrap, black blade, and a dragon etched into the blade. She kept a sharp eye out for her opponent.

"Bringing a knife to a gun fight? Unwise!"

Another bullet was sent straight towards Kirin's skull.

Kirin brought the sword up and deflected the bullet with her blade, making sure not to send it towards Kotori. "Not so unwise now, is it, coward?" Kirin stood, waiting for their assailant. "Talon, seek her out. This is getting old."

He cawed at her.

"He says that she's just a blur of white," Kotori translated.

"A blur of white, eh?" Kirin sighed, she couldn't think of anything that she could do to slow down their assailant. "We just want the stupid relic!" she screamed at the jungle.

"Oh, honey. You're not getting it."

A woman who was probably about their age with stark white hair and icy blue eyes stood in front of her. Half of her face was deformed by what looked like a giant scar, and her pupils were catlike slits. Embedded in the skin of her neck was a necklace that seemed to be made of rope, with a charm hanging from it that had also fused into her flesh. "I'm quite. . . attached to it."

Then, before a shot could be loaded, she was gone again.
