Pancakes with a side of awkward, please.. [closed]

The heat of the sunlight filtering through the window was what woke Noah up. He squinted against it and grit his teeth in protest. For a moment, his sleep-addled brain couldn't process where he was or what he'd been doing the night before, and then he felt a soft exhale run along the expanse of his right cheek.

Ah, right. His face heated up a touch as the night's memories came flooding back into his mind. It'd been better than he'd been expecting, and even though he'd been a clueless dumbass for half of the time, he was happy that she hadn't kicked him out. That would had wounded his already-trashed pride too deeply to repair. Oh, well.. Whenever the 'next time' Sophia had mentioned came up, he'd make up his sloppy performance to her--and to himself.

Returning his focus to the now, Noah hoisted himself up a little by his elbows. Sophia slept soundly beneath him, despite the fact that he'd essentially been lying on top of her for several hours. One of his hands was tangled in her light strawberry-blonde locks, and her forearms were lightly looped around his neck, as they had been since he'd fallen asleep in the night. His body was still a little sticky with long-dried perspiration, and without even having to go look in a mirror, he could tell his hair was a matted auburn mess. How very attractive. I need a shower, or something..

With a slight groan, Noah shifted off of the dozing Spring girl and sat at the edge of her bed with the blanket draped over his lap, rubbing his eyes rigorously against the harsh morning sun.

The spring girl wasn't bothered by the sun light filtering into her room. She had gotten rather used to it since she had been in this dorm for a rather long time. She actually slept rather well with Noah close to her, and from the look on her face it didn't seem like she was going to wake up anytime soon, but that was broken as soon as she felt the boy pull away from her. She was a sort of light sleeper.

The girl moved a bit before settling back down into another position, attempting to get more rest, but now that she was awake she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep for a while. Due to her movement her already messy hair got even messier. Eventually she gave up her struggle to get more sleep and sat up in the bed not bothering with the cover that just fell off her naked body. She didn't really mind since he saw all of it last night.

Her hands rubbed at her eyes, and she blinked a few times before she could see properly. "Hey/" She said in a sleepy tone, a yawn following soon after. "Nice to see you up." She said her tone still holding a tiredness to it. "I'm sure you feel gross.. so you can use my shower if you want to." She said being polite. She was glad Noah was still here, shouldn't have been happy if she woke up, and he was gone. But she supposed that would be expected of most guys these days.

Noah turned as Sophia awakened.

"Hey. Good mor--" The words faltered on his tongue. It'd been dark when he'd slept with her, and he'd only been able to see her in the dim light of the setting sun. Now, in the brightness of the morning, he could truly absorb the curves of her body, nestled amongst the sheets of her bed. He noticed that the skin around her neck was slightly red, and for a moment the Autumn was a little concerned that he'd bit her too hard, but he thought back to her reactions and decided otherwise. The sunlight cast a soft sheen over Sophia's hair and face. Lucky, his first time had been with such a pretty stranger.

Realizing he'd been gaping rather stupidly at her for far too long, Noah uttered dry, awkward laugh and averted his eyes. "Hah.. Yeah, a shower might be nice right about now." He rubbed the back of his neck for a moment before reluctantly getting up off of the bed. He should't have felt embarrassed to be without clothing in front of Sophia, considering the antics they'd engaged in not long ago, but he was nonetheless. Kissing her in the dark of the evening was different than standing in front of her in the bright light, after all. He crossed the room and approached the washroom, but paused before he entered. "Oh, uh.. I could take you out to Rosebury to have breakfast after I'm done, if you want."

With that, he slipped inside the washroom and closed the door behind him.

Sophia yawned, and then blinked as Noah didn't finish his sentence, and she couldn't help but wonder why, and then she remembered that she was naked and didn't bother to cover up. She let out a small giggle as his eyes took in her body. That was one thing she would never mind. Though she had to admit Noah was pretty good looking the way he was at the moment. Shame it would be gone soon. Oh well they had their fun.

Sophia paused for a moment in her actions when he mentioned breakfast. A soft smile formed on her face. "Yeah I would like that." She said even though the boy probably couldn't hear her. She would have to get a shower after he was done, and the do something about the marks on her neck if they were noticeable, if not then she could leave them alone.

The girl raised her arms above her head, and stretched letting out a small groan in the process. After her stretch she flopped back into her bed, and just continued to lay there until Noah was done. Though she wished she could figure out the feeling from last night was. It was something she couldn't put a name too. She wanted to know, but the feeling was gone so it would be hard for her to recall the feeling to figure it out.

Noah assumed that Sophia would want to shower as well, or at least clean herself up a little before they went out, so he didn't waste much time. As he lathered shampoo rigorously into his hair, he couldn't help but grin at the tiled wall in front of him. He wouldn't have to lie to his friends any longer, now that he'd finally experienced the thing they liked to talk about so much.

In Noah's opinion, Sophia was much better looking than the little skanks his buddies hooked up with.. Not to mention, more filled out in certain areas, as well - specifically in the chest region. Sure, he hadn't exactly done a stellar job of hiding his virgin status from her, but the Spring girl hadn't really seemed to mind. Still, he couldn't shake off a tiny thorn of shame. Noah traipsed around thinking - knowing - he was better than everyone else in the country in terms of speed and agility, but then when it came to getting intimate with a girl, he'd looked like the clueless, inexperienced idiot.

Oh, well, he thought, sighing quietly to himself as he turned the tap and shut the water off. She didn't boot me out, so that's a good sign, I guess.

After briefly drying himself off and getting dressed, Noah slung his damp towel around his neck and exited the washroom. "Hey, so do you wanna.. Freshen up or somethin' before we go?" He pointed his thumb in the washroom's direction.

Sophia sat up when she heard the water turn off. With that she stood from the bed, and gathered some clothes for the day. She had the clothes sitting on her desk while she sat back on the bed waiting for the boy to return to her room. She had a small smile on her face as her feet swung back and forth, though that stopped and she looked up at the boy when he entered the room and spoke to her. She nodded, and said "Yep." Being her normal joyful self.

She hopped off the bed, and grabbed her close then went to the bathroom to take care of whatever she needed to take care of. It didn't take her as long as some would assume her to. Soon enough she was turning off the shower, and then drying off and getting dressed. She checked her neck, and determined they weren't bad enough to hide, and then pulled her hair up in a small ponytail for today. She didn't feel like messing with her bows. She took a few looks in the mirror before stepping out of the room, and returning to Noah. "I'm ready, so where are we going?" She asked with curiosity in her voice.

"Just a little local restaurant," Noah explained as he slung the towel up on a hook on the wall next to him and snatched his soccer jacket up.  It was a lot easier to talk like a competent human being - and not a stammering idiot - now that he and Sophia were both dressed. "I went with a couple of my track and field buddies last Monday. They serve some pretty killer pancakes with blueberries and syrup. All that good shit, y'know?"

Shuffling into bis shoes, Noah turned and opened the door leading out of Sophia's dorm, and the pair exited together. Before heading for the parking lot, they dropped by the Autumn dorms so Noah could gather his keys and put on a half-decent pair of pants, and then they set off again. It was a fairly short drive down to Rosebury. It would have only taken ten seconds for Noah to run from his dorm room to town, but he figured carrying a woman around at a velocity that outpaced the speed of sound was probably not healthy for her. It would likely ruin his chances of ever speaking to her again afterwards, too.

Once his car hummed to a halt in the restaurant's parking lot, Noah exited his car and escorted Sophia inside. As long s seats were not reserved, customers were allowed to choose their seats by themselves, so Noah selected a window booth. Once seated, he couldn't help but yawn. Despite having taken a cool shower, Noah was still tired. "Mornings are a blast, eh?"

Pancakes? Pancakes sounded good though she preferred chocolate chip pancakes and peanut butter then syrup. It was a good combination in her mind. She never thought of trying it until her sister came home and told her to try it. She could probably get something like that, seeing how Noah had said all good shit. Sophia quickly put on some shoes and followed Noah out of the dorm.

It didn't take that long to get there, and Sophia was glad when they got there because her stomach let out a small growl. She followed Noah inside and happily sat across from him in the booth that they were in. She had a decent amount of energy this morning though she normally didn't most mornings. "Yeah they normally are. Though for some reason this morning I have a lot of energy, I guess I slept really well last night." Usually it would have taken a good while for her to wake up.

As Sophia settled into her seat, Noah picked up a menu and scanned the various items that were listed on it. He'd probably just go with what he'd had last time. "There's more than just fruits that you can put on your pancakes. You could ask for chocolate, or something crazy like that. For me that's too sweet." The Autumn placed the menu back down on the tabletop and let his amber eyes trail to the window. He watched a couple of local pyrokinetic kids chase each other around with fireballs, but his mind wasn't on them.

After another couple of second spent blankly watching the children, Noah sighed and turned back to Sophia. "Hey, could I, um.. Ask you a bit of a favour?" he inquired, folding his hands on his menu. He leaned a bit closer and lowered his voice to keep the waitress from hearing. "About last night.. Do you mind maybe.. Not telling anybody that was my, ah.. First time?" His face went a tinge red.

Sophia nodded. "I would hope they would have chocolate since that is what I love to get with mine. That and peanut butter. It may sound a bit strange, but it's really good if you try it. Though you might not like it since you said chocolate was a bit too sweet for you." She looked back down at the menu in front of her determining what food she was getting but her drink she wasn't too sure. Should she go with a breakfast kind of drink or just something normal?

Her attention went back to the boy in front of her when he spoke up again. She nodded with a small smile on her face as he asked of a favor, though she probably already knew what he was going to ask, and she was right. She let out a small giggle for a moment covering her mouth slightly with on of her hands, kind of being cute. "I wasn't going to anyway. It's not something for me to tell." She may looked like, and act like one that would gossip, but she doesn't. She wouldn't put people through that pain.

"Aheheh, yeah.. Thanks.." Noah rubbed the back of his neck. His friends would have surely given him shit if word got out about how long he'd waited to lose his innocence. He had always had trouble going any further than simply macking on a girl - Especially when his friends were around. Often times he would convince himself that he just didn't know how to go about it, but deep down he knew that wasn't really the reason why. Noah's eyebrows lowered. The true reason wasn't something that he even wanted to admit to himself, never mind ever tell anyone else. He was lucky that Sophia was as polite as she was. The Autumn really had really met just the right girl for this occasion.

Clearing his throat and pushing the more private conversation aside, Noah focused on the matter at hand - Breakfast. Now wasn't a time to dwell on his idiotic  insecurity. "Can't say I've ever had peanut butter with pancakes before." The redhead yawned. "I've never met anyone who likes that, either. You're a bit of an odd cookie, eh?" He smirked and settled one arm on the head of the booth seat. The waiter came by to inquire abut their orders. After they gave them, Noah turned his attention back to the young woman sitting across from him. "So what exactly is your gift, anyways? I'm guessing you probably saw mine in action yesterday at the soccer field."

"I didn't think it was that odd. It was something a friend of mine did, and then she had me try it, and I liked it ever since. Though I haven't met anyone else who likes it but then again I don't really go around asking people." She said folding her hands into her lap. After telling the waiter what she had wanted he had to ask about her gift. She let out a small sigh. "Alright don't freak out when I tell you this, I have good control over it. And yes I did see your gift in action." She said wanting to answer his question first before she told him about her gift. "My gift is disintegration." She said to him a bit softly.

Noah's cinnamon-coloured eyebrows raised in interest. Now that was a gift he'd never seen in action before. If it entailed exactly what he thought it entailed, that was quite a powerful gift for somebody so small. The Autumn liked that. "Disintegration? So you can make solid objects collapse into nothing? That's pretty rad, if you ask me." Noah reached across the table and grabbed a spare fork that had been lying next to the condiments. He held it out on Sophia's direction, grinning. He was sure the owners of the restaurant wouldn't notice one little utensil missing. "I wanna see that in action. Destroy this fork."

Well that wasn't a reaction she was expecting at all. She was expecting something worse. Most people didn't think of her gift that way. Only a few people did. That feeling from before returned but went away quickly. "Alright then." She said then took the fork from him. She let out a small sigh and then held the end of the fork between two finger tips, with the prong end sticking up so Noah would see the whole process. She focused just a tad, and cracks shot up the fork from where she was touching it. As soon as those reached the top the whole thing fell to dust leaving nothing but a little bit of dust behind. "There."

Noah blinked in astonishment as cracks ran up the fork, and within seconds, it burst, and became nothing more than a smudge of dust on the tabletop. His grin widened and he chuckled. "Well, I'll be damned. That's the coolest thing I've seen so far at Beata. I bet that'd come in handy when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.. Figuratively and literally, heh." He leaned back in his seat and folded his arms behind his head. Sophia looked less-than impressed with herself, interestingly enough. He'd never been on a date with a supernaturally gifted girl before, so he wasn't sure: Was it actually polite to ask to see someone's gift over breakfast, or was it more like burping out loud? In other words, was it rude? He pulled a playful frown. "You don't think so? I think it's bad-ass, personally -- Pardon my french."
