The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 9:46 pm

Warren grinned at him, half in amusement, half in confusion. He was taken aback for a few seconds from Magic's sudden change in stance, eyeing him carefully and knew well enough that he would have to be more cautious with what he was doing. A short-lived chuckle escaped him, pinching the bridge of his nose as he began to think, and he swung his legs onto the top of the table. "And I was supposed to know you were with her? For all I know, the way you were holding around and how she tried to escape made it seem like she didn't want to be there," he replied smoothly, his voice not skipping a beat in this eccentric and playful song. That was the objective view from anyone else. It was how others had seen the entire situation. A taller, more powerful boy keeping grasp on a much weaker girl who tried her best to free herself from his grip. That may not have been the case, but that was certainly how any spectator would've seen it. And Warren used that to his advantage. "Besides, it wouldn't be that bad to have her go get something to calm herself down."

The boy was smart, that was all that was needed to be known. Cunning, witty, and knew how to control a conversation. Shaking one hand in a dismissive gesture, he smiled, glancing over at the girl across the table who had nervously been fiddling with the straw floating in a half-full juice. Or was it half-empty? That didn't matter as long as she got enough of the dose to knock her out later. And once that happened... he should be fine. Just had to go along with the plan, didn't he? Casually, he shot a sharp look at the two gang members before addressing Lamia. "You were fine with coming here, weren't you?"

And she began to panic internally.

If she said yes, then Magic would immediately know that she wasn't fine with it at all and that she really hadn't planned to make him worry for nothing. That she had come here by force and that she really didn't have much of a choice, not that she cared about those trivial matters. While if she replied with no, then he would believe something was different about her because she never refused someone else's requests. It hasn't happened before with him around. And it wasn't likely to start either. It was a lose-lose situation for her either way. Goddammit... she couldn't think. Her head was throbbing in pain when it shouldn't be, and she took a deep breath. What should she say? Yes? No? Possibly? This question was so difficult. Either one would make them be concerned with her for absolutely no reason. Long, pale fingers reached up to her front bangs, contemplating as she tried to figure out some kind of solution. Think... think... think. What answer would satisfy him?

There was a blessed silence for a grand total of thirteen seconds, before a scarcely raw whisper escaped. "Y-y-yes... I-I w-w-wanted to a-ask b-b-before... uhm... i-if we could g-get s-s-something to dr-drink." It was a lie. A complete lie. But she had controlled her tone, how quickly her heart raced, anything that would break that deception before she spoke. "S-s-sorry..." Something she had come up with in a moment of realization with panic. It worked though, for the most part. Why were they being so suspicious of Warren? He seemed nice enough and there wasn't anything wrong with him. She had been quick to judge him - there wasn't exactly anything bad about dragging her half-way across the park to head to a juice bar.

That answer seemed to satisfy the new boy enough, his fingers snapping with a content expression on his face. Why did they seem to think he was suspicious...? He seemed like every normal person out there. "So there you have it," he breathed out before before his icy blue eyes widened in realization that he had forgotten something. And he had. "Say, what did you say your names were? Or did you not introduce yourselves yet?"

One of Mason 's hands clenched tightly into a fist but no one could see because it was hidden behind his other arm from his arms being crossed. It as easy to tell this guy was up to something, the way he responded things, and he way he tried to make it seem like he was the bad guy.

When Lamia spoke up her steady tone kind of surprised him. It seemed a bit forced to the former gang leader. And with his hearing being like it was, it was easy for him to decode what someone's from there voice. Which was another reason Mason seemed quite suspicious of Warren. There was something in his tone other than being friendly. "Mason." The winter replied.

"Laine." The older boy said. Vince didn't bother to say a thing just kind of off in the back ground.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty

"I see," Warren replied simply, mincing his words as he continued to grin from ear to ear. Their terse answers only told him that they weren't much for formalities. That, or they must severely despise him or feel suspicious about something. There wasn't any real way that caught onto what he actually had planned, of course, but they knew there was that instinct that was practically screaming to them in frustration that there was something, somehow, completely off about the entire situation. There definitely was. The way these two talked told him that they weren't ordinary people; there was no way that normal, civilized human beings would be so hostile automatically. In the lovely city of Chicago, there were only a few types of people: those who were civil and minded their own business, those who paid heed to others, and those who lived completely in the dumps and were the wretched trash of the state. Mason and Laine? They were of the very last group - he was sure of it.

There was an absolute, deathly standstill in the conversation, only the passing breeze whispering into their heads with mellifluous tunes. The chirps of the birds up ahead scattered throughout the blue, high sky as people walked, a few sending odd looks at the group of five who clearly stood out compared to the rest of them. If there was a stranger group than them... they weren't in sight.

Her shoulders hunched together and she tried to duck her head lower, hoping they would completely forget that she was there. Chin tucked carefully in the crook of her arm, Lamia kept her eyes focused on the drink in front of her, a free finger swirling the straw as she contemplated on whether she should just drink some more of it so she wouldn't have to talk. Maybe just a sip... The taste was peculiarly familiar and she didn't know why, but it was stronger, forcing itself into her more. Every time she stopped, she just wanted to keep drinking just a bit more. With a small sigh, that's exactly what she wound up doing until the cup was completely empty. The silence still kept going, and she was about to get up to go throw it away when Warren's hand grasped around it, touching her own skin and she flinched back. "I got this."

With his hand overhead, he managed to toss it straight into the trash can not too far from them without any signs that it would miss.

"So then, do you guys want to go to one of the attractions or are you going to be staying at the juice bar all day?"

Awkwardly, Lamia gave a weak smile, glancing back at the others, silently asking them to answer the question without any hostility. She shuffled uncomfortably in her seat, sinking lower as she turned her head away. Please, please, please don't start a fight over me... They shouldn't start an argument or anything over something this petty. It wouldn't be worth it. At all. Couldn't they just get along for an hour or two?

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyTue Sep 01, 2015 8:34 pm

Mason couldn't shake the feeling that there was something going on. He felt like something bad was going to happen. He just knew it. He didn't really want to wait and see what would happen, but at the same time that seemed to be his only option. "I'm just making sure my friend is okay.." And not leaving her with a complete stranger. And if normal people passed off suspicion by now then they were dumb.

Laine didn't quite have the same defensive position as Magic. He was still tense, but it wasn't that noticeable. He seemed a bit more friendly than Mason at the moment. "I went on the rides I wanted to go on already. So.. there really isn't anything else I want to ride." Laine said. His tone a bit more friendly than Magic's.

Vince finally decided to join the conversation, and actually stand near the group. "And I kind of have a hatred for water. So.. there really isn't much I want to do." Why was he even here then? Vincent was a strange boy. He probably came for the sandbox that they had here, and showing off some tricks and stuff for girls.. Yeah that was probably it. Vincent, and Laine both decided that it was better to stick with Magic and Lamia before they actually ran into them here.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyTue Sep 01, 2015 9:00 pm

Was that what this was about? That he was worried about her? Her cheeks turned slightly red, and she shuffled her feet, trying to keep her mind off of this. No, actually, she couldn't. She really couldn't. And she immediately felt guilty about it. For a heartbeat, there was a pang of bitterness and grief welling up in her chest, only to fade away as the others kept talking. Were they only saying that because they didn't want to be around other people? What had gotten into them? Weren't all of them normally friendly and less... suspicious about others? A wave of rhetorical questions and bitter comebacks came to mind, but she couldn't find the voice to say anything. Instead, she smiled again, only a little wider and she shattered her own silence, giggling softly - as sweet as a bell -, "Th-there's n-n-nothing to w-worry about... I-I pr-pr-promise." All she was feeding was more lies with each passing moment. But that was the only way anyone would believe her.

Lamia wouldn't have breathed a whisper about the sudden relaxation she felt, as though she had some sort of anchor, hook, confidence that could keep her going. Everything felt numb, difficult to touch as though her entire body had shut down and that she needed rest. Nononono. She had gotten plenty of sleep on the trip coming to the park, so why did she feel more tired than normal? Her face was slightly flustered, and she had to take a deep breath to calm the sudden thudding of her heart. It was too blurry to see anything clearly. But that was fine. Just pretend that nothing's wrong. Because that was the truth.

Warren had a small amused look in his eyes, seeing the girl's eyes glaze over slightly for just a fraction of a second. They were getting closer to that step, weren't they? It'll still take about another fifteen minutes or so until she completely blacked out, but that was alright. Leaning back further onto his chair, balancing it only on the back two legs, he looked over at the other three boys, musing slightly to himself, "What? Are you scared of the more intense rides?" They seemed to be acting friendlier, for the most part. For the most part. He was still suspicious of that Mason guy.

"The park hasn't been open for that long and you guys are already done with what you guys want to do?"

PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyWed Sep 02, 2015 4:52 am

Mason knew what Lamia said was a lie, well she thought it to be true. It may have been true that nothing was wrong from almost drowning, but there could have been something wrong after this boy took her away from him. That's when he noticed there was something slightly off about Lamia, when he glanced over to Warren he saw an amused look, like he was accomplishing something. Did he drug her?

Laine didn't seem to notice the same thing Mason saw, but he slightly saw the amused look on Warren's face. Both of them were trained to observe a potential threat's features. There face usually gave stuff away if they didn't know how to control their face expression, and that included looks in the eyes. "Not scared of anything, and I already rode the intense rides, all that is left is the boring ones."

Vince just didn't like water because of his gift, and would only end up doing the boring stuff anyway. If it involved too much water then he probably wouldn't do it, cause he couldn't use his gift that way, or it would be really hard to. He right now he wanted to have the ability to use it just in case.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyWed Sep 02, 2015 8:14 pm

Warren plopped his legs down onto the ground, removing them from their high up position on top of the table, letting out a heavy sigh. His hands wrapped around the chair's arms, boosting himself up as he took a moment to stand straight, dying lights filtering and trying to penetrate the umbrella above them. Icy blue eyes traveled to the other dark-haired boy, and his smile faded. "What exactly are you looking at?" It was phrased innocently, spoken in raw curiosity as he rested his head onto the back of his arms as though he was about to lean on something. But he knew why. Mason wasn't buying his act, which was too bad. This whole thing might be less interesting than he had hoped.

Unless...

No, it was completely impossible. Without waiting for an answer, he spoke up again, his grin returning from the abyss, "There's always the group rides. Pretty sure there's one with a giant raft that's supposed to fit up to five or so people." Warren studied the other three for a few moments before he allowed his face to brighten up, his gaze locked on the girl who was still trying to shift and pretend she wasn't there. The way she held herself, he knew - she was a complete pushover. There wouldn't be much of an effort to tell her to come along with him. "So then, wanna come, Milla?"

Her first thought was to blink in surprise. Milla? How could anyone decipher a nickname like that out of Lamia? Lips thinning, she nestled further into the vest, desperately hoping it would just absorb her and never let her out. It didn't work. She couldn't feel a thing and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat, trying to find the words that were completely caught in her throat. "U-uhm..." she breathed as she blindly tried to get up, almost knocking the chair over. Control your breathing. The sudden movement after she lurched onto her feet only made her more dizzy, and her hand reached for the table for balance.

"You alright there?" Warren wasted no time walking over and helping her get steady, his hands grasped around her shoulder. She couldn't stagger that way and with how dull her senses were, it would be best if he went along with the act. Lamia gave an almost imperceptible nod, edging away from him as she mumbled quietly under her breath, "I-I-I'm f-fine... J-just a l-little off fr-from f-f-falling..." Yeah. That was all there was to it. When she found her balance, Lamia cautiously staggered forward, as if she was re-learning how to walk, praying that she wouldn't wind up falling on her face.

"If you say so, then." His hands were up in the air as he took a few steps backward, letting her stand on her own. He couldn't help but smirk internally in his mind, seeing the effects take place.

"U-uhm... wh-why...?"

"Milla? Oh, just remove the 'a' from your name, rearrange 'mi' and 'la' and add an extra 'l' in the middle."

"O-oh..." That wasn't what she was going to ask, but whatever worked. Would be better if she didn't try and question why he wanted to join them for the rest of their trip around the park. It wasn't that she felt uncomfortable around him, but it was the amount of people. Having to deal with strangers whose faces she couldn't recognize was bad enough. But being around another person who she sort of owed her life to? The more, the merrier... the more, the merrier... the more, the merrier. Nope, not working.

"I guess we should go, then. The last time I saw the place, the line wasn't too long so we should head there quick."

"Sounds like a lot of water.." Vincent said in response to Warren's offer. He also held a slight frown on his face. "Besides Lamia or Milla isn't in any condition to go on a ride.. Seeing how she is stumbling like that.." He said actually saying something worth hearing for once, "Sort of seems like she is drunk" It was almost like Vincent meant to say that word specifically, but it didn't have enough emphasis to draw too much attention to it.

But Magic being Magic and having good hearing knew exactly what his brother was doing. Vince had caught on to what Laine, and Mason where suspicious about. And Vince being Vince, and drinking more on a regular basis than Laine and Mason, knew exactly what it was like being in a state of being drunk. It only took a second for Mason to see the truth. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Warren. So he had.. if the boy had a shirt collar Magic would have grabbed it but he couldn't do anything like that. "Son of a-" He couldn't say that here. There were children around

Laine instantly noticed Mason's anger. So.. he had after all. "You drugged her." He said basically saying what Magic was going to say if he finished his sentence. He was surprised Magic hadn't punched the kid already. All three of the boys sudden had a hostile look too them. Well Vince did but it didn't look like he was going to do much.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyThu Sep 03, 2015 11:33 pm

Drunk? No. There wasn't any alcohol around. Wasn't she technically sober? She hadn't even taken a sip in a month or so because of cafe policies; it wasn't like she had gotten black-out drunk before. No, they were always just a small dose just to keep her confidence up, to give her some kind of hook or anchor to life, to drown out all of those problems she didn't want to think about, to blank her mind and think about absolutely nothing. Besides, it was almost always a little bit - it didn't hurt anyone else. But that was then. And now?

No, no. "I-I-I'm n-not---" She was completely cut off when Magic turned, practically ready to start a fight for the sake of nothing. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Her lips thinned as everything became a blur, hands shaking uncontrollably as she staggered and swayed in her place, unable to keep her eyes focused straight on something. Lamia fell to her knees, a soft smile cracking across her features as a quaky hand reached for the table side. It was so hard to stand... everything felt numb. Was she even grasping onto anything or was it just her reaching for thin air? A shallow breath passed from her lips, her eyes glancing around and she could see the venomous glints in the others', and the atmosphere suddenly became so tense that if someone had a knife, they could cut through it like butter.

Warren held his hands up guiltily, a carefree smile still etched on his face, "It's too bad I came here to relax today. Guess the act is up." Without another word, his expression slipped into an apathetic and passive one, the grin he held seemingly disappearing into the midst. His entire posture changed to a more lax one and it didn't seem like he was going to do anything for a few moments. "I can't smile properly. Was that what did me in? Or was it my poor acting skills?" There was nothing better than saving energy, unless he had to use it. And this was one of those times he was ordered to.

He stormed forward, and he rammed his elbow into Lamia's ribs, rendering her unconscious as her body dropped in dead weight, eyes completely glazing over to the dull blue before she blacked out. A knife went spinning in his hand from his bag, his other fingers clutching a fistful of hair as he pulled her head up, the blade pointed straight at her neck, held firmly as though it were about to pierce the flesh open. She was the closest and easiest target to take out.

"Don't take this personally," his voice droned lifelessly, almost as if he hadn't put any passion into it. What was the point in explaining any of this? As if to prove what he meant, the knife drove in closer, a small line of red trickling from the tips, and Warren withdrew the blade slightly, keeping a firm grip on the girl. "One wrong move and you're all dead."

Around them, people screamed, shouted, and began to run, stampeding over one another in complete disarray and panic. Some were brave enough to try and approach him - only cautiously -, but stayed as far back as possible; others watched only out of mild curiosity with wide eyes. Of course they would. Somehow, a man managed to sneak a knife into the park and was pointing it at someone and provoking a fight. A terrorist was the only word to describe him. And that was his only job.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyFri Sep 04, 2015 4:49 am

Magic wasn't fast enough to stop him. Why couldn't he stop him? When Magic watched as he pressed a blade to Lamia's neck, he whole expression darkened, and he looked like he was about ready to kill the dude when bits of red appeared on her neck. One wrong move from them and they were all dead? How about one wrong move from him, and he was dead? "Laine.. Get those people away from here.." Laine nodded, and proceeded to try and get people to move away from the area, and hopefully hold off the cops if they showed up. Not everyone was going to listen to the muscular man with the tattoos.. though they should have.

Magic had to think for a moment. Blind the man? No he could still hurt Lamia that way.. If he used one of his powerful sounds then it would not only hurt Warren, but Vince too.. and Lamia.. It would drive the others away though.. That might be there best option.. "Vince.. Could you handle one of my loud sounds for a moment?" He asked softly enough so that Warren wouldn't hear..

Vincent shot Magic a serious look then realized what he was trying to do. His older brother was trying to drive people away, and if that meant hurting his younger brother's ears for a moment he was going to do it. He nodded at Magic, then lifted his hands to his ears to attempt to block out the sound. A ways away Laine did the same thing.

Magic took a deep breath in then let it out. There was know way that Magic was going to directly link that sound to him as of yet. The winter boy focused on creating the sound instead. Sound enough, and loud siren noise appeared steadily growing louder. The origin of the noise seemed to be coming from Warren but in truth it was from Magic. The older brother just stood there and took the loud sound, while Vince clenched his teeth trying to deal with it. Man it was painful.

Due to the loud sound, and how painful it was to hear it. The surrounding people started to flee the area, or get further away to where the sound didn't effect them as much. But at that point it was going to be hard to see anything happen between the boys. Laine stayed in the area, dealing with the sound just like the younger brother. He only stayed knowing the sound would end soon, and that he needed to keep people away, and the cops if they showed up.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptyFri Sep 04, 2015 9:59 pm

The earsplitting sirens rang through the air, and his hand gripped onto the knife tighter, at the cost of dropping Lamia, her body hitting the ground with a sickening thud!, and icy blue eyes turned towards the one responsible for all of this. Did they think he wouldn't be able to tell? A subtle, amused tone crept into his voice, and Warren almost wanted to laugh. Key word: almost. "She was right. You are gifted students from the academy." His stance completely changed, and his arm drew back, legs bent down as he got into a defensive position. Would it be better to ignore the unconscious girl or would it be best to take her and run? She'd be completely knocked out for some time, and he could take his chances... No. A waste of energy and time to do so. Her body was too weak and fragile - there wouldn't be any point in using her.

The blade spun itself in his hand, and he turned to the two, addressing them respectively, "Vincent Stein, possessor of fire manipulation. His older half-brother, Mason - or Magic as he received from a friend - Stein, manipulator of sound." He could easily turn one of them into a puppet and get this all over with, having them prance around like marionettes on a stage with an audience to boot. But no. His orders were absolute and all he needed was to cause havoc. It would be a shortcut... and it would be amusing to watch brother battle against brother. "As for the girl..." Warren's voice trailed off, and his mind blanked for a few moments. That kind of gift was destructive, and he liked that. The myriad of possibilities that he could get from having it. If only she wasn't so pathetic and useless in the end. A blanket of silence fell over the three, and he kept it that way.

Until, Warren spoke up again, a monotonous string of words escaping past his lips. "What a monstrous power. She must have murdered many people to get it to that strength."

A hand came up, sweeping his bangs off his vision to get a closer look at the two brothers in front of him. His teeth gritted together, and biting back any more shrewd remarks, he waited. There was no way he would make the first move. And they were in a position where they didn't know who he was, how he knew about them, and what he could do. One wrong move, and they would all die. If they attacked, he would resort to using Lamia as a physical shield so they couldn't get any blows on him without hurting her as well. They didn't have much of a choice except to panic, if they thought this through far enough.

He grabbed the girl by the neck, practically choking her in his hold as pained, strangled gasps left her throat, her eyes twitching and trying to flutter open to no avail. Her body dangled lifelessly in his hold like a puppet on strings. Gloves were the ultimate protection to steering clear of anyone's powers. No wonder he was commanded to keep them on - just in case; with a gift like that, simply trying to touch her now with his bare skin would be lethal. "How long do you want me to take in killing her? A few seconds to spare you from the pain or to torture you by making it slow and have you watch every moment of it until her dying breaths?"

His orders were simple: cause havoc and disturb the peace of the gifted students he encountered, causing them to activate their powers in public and decrease the defenses of the school. There was no real aim here, and it wasn't an attempt to bribe someone into doing anything or to steal one of their belongings; it was a simple act of causing a student to go on a rampage.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Day [CLOSED]   The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 EmptySat Sep 05, 2015 9:03 am

Magic gritted his teeth. So he knew them.. and he knew that Lamia had a dangerous gift.. Magic had already figured out she had a dangerous gift because there was no way a frail girl like her would kill people with out assistance. He also figured since he knew of them, and probably knew of the school, this man was gifted as well. So he need to be careful. "Vince, get away from here.. I don't want you to see your brother turn into a bloody mess..." Even though he had once or twice. Vincent looked at his brother with shocked eyes for a second then nodded, and ran off someone where else.. He was going to be back up with Laine if Mason failed, and if he failed then they were in for a hard time.

Seeing how the area was now almost void of people, it would be easier for Magic to use his gift. The only person he had to worry about was Lamia.. He didn't want to hurt her. Maybe he could try to use two different aspects of his gift at the same time.. Well he could also move at the speed of sound if he wanted.. Maybe that would be the better option. Magic clenched his hands tightly into fists. He was beyond pissed off at this point, and ready to break any bone that he could get his hands on or.. feet.. He would rather not make it hard for Lamia to breath at this point in time.

Since he was standing normally.. and not in a stance or anything it was going to be hard to determine what he was going to do. If he opened his mouth then it would be easy to know Magic was creating some noise at some frequency. He needed to act fast if he didn't Lamia would die. Using his gift to speed himself up, Magic dashed forward at a great speed, launching his fist forward when he got close enough to hit Warren's face.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty

Warren stared straight into Magic's eyes, only seeing a blaze of anger and how furious he was. Absently, he wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that he had gone and targeted Lamia instead, but then dismissed that thought. It wouldn't matter who he chose as long as he got the job done. People only seemed to get enraged as a way of making their deepest emotions known, to just let everything out. He wouldn't deny that he went through the same stages as well.

Even so, that wouldn't mean mercy. The indignation that peaked inside the other boy was something higher than he normally witnessed, and he didn't seem to have great control over it. His words only made him think that this was supposed to be a suffering task, and whatever fury he held in was going to be focused straight onto him. This situation only emphasized it, only made it worse with each passing minute. Warren found it all amusing, how people could try and something so strongly for another, to go as far as this. It was anger over something completely petty, and it was all too easy to manipulate emotions on the tip of his fingers.

Magic's fist was fast.

But Warren drew back faster, adrenaline flaring through his body, and once Magic was caught off guard, he took the opportunity to sweep a blow at his knees with a surprising amount of strength until he heard a small snap!. A simple snap kick that was meant to trip the victim other than anything else. He wasn't looking for a full-out fight. No - he was looking to watch the other boy crumble apart and cause devastating damage to the public. Something on the scale of what heaven would do in bringing divine judgment to the sinners of the world.

His breath was cold, chilling, and a foot quickly slammed itself onto Magic's chest, keeping him on the ground. The grasp around the girl's throat only grew tighter, and a merciless glint traveled into his eyes, dull and unforgiving, trapping people like they were in the middle of a blizzard. "You rely on your gift too much to fight. Predictable."

"So what?" Magic growled out. "Use what you are given to your advantage." Even though Magic was on the ground he knew how to get out of the situation. He knew how to deal with numerous situations. This guy probably not.. This guy seemed to know of Magic's gift yet didn't seem to mind risking the danger of being close to him. Magic grabbed the man's leg as it sat on top of his chest. Using his hands to emit sound waves, the winter boy sent sound waves into the man's body. It would most likely cause serious damage to internal organs and what not.

The Last Day [CLOSED] - Page 6 Empty

A hiss of pain slipped through clenched teeth, and as soon as everything inside him wanted to explode, Warren knew he made a grave mistake. Shaking Magic's hands off, he took a few steps back and his grip immediately loosened, knocking Lamia out of his hands, her body rolling and fell, smacking the floor. There couldn't be any way she was waking up soon - from being drugged to utter shock to how weak she was. It was too much for her to handle, and he knew his job was done from how unstable the other boy seemed. He couldn't control his emotions right now - his powers should detonate like a bomb soon.

Warren collapsed onto his knees and hands, and the first thing he did was cough up blood. He clutched his sides, the red welling up, and his chest hurt. Shallow breaths escaped in and out at a rapid pace and everything felt like a familiar pain, as though he had it all of his life. There was no way he would admit it, but he knew deep in his mind, that he had miscalculated Magic's strengths and capabilities. Lurching back onto his feet, his hand steadied itself on a close-by wall as he balanced himself. Quickly, the knife shot itself from his hand, straight into the Winter boy's leg, piercing into the flesh with a stinging bite. "Don't tell an experienced gifted that he should take advantage of a helpless student," were the only words that he managed to spill out, his eyes passively glaring.

Police sirens blared around, and around them, the sounds of guns loading echoed after one another. Leaping into the air, he quickly escaped to the roof, dashing out of sight. A small whisper could be heard from him only by Magic, and Warren made sure of it: "This isn't the last time we'll see each other. I recommend you get stronger until then." His escape route was close by, and once he reached it, he didn't hesitate to take it.

Cops were all around, pointing guns at Magic, and one spoke up, loud and clear with authority, "Put your hands up or suffer!" Others stormed in, the only thing they could see was a young boy and a girl who was completely unconscious. There wasn't any signs that anyone else made it in. Two others had Vincent and Laine restrained as they walked into sight. It was a terrible predicament they've been thrown into.
