Minecraft Build Idea: The International City of Panin Empty

Remember when we tried and made a city? Let's try again and fail! It's not about the destination but the journey. <3

I want to expand on the lore of the spaceship thing we did. It's a lore I've wanted to develop for a while 'cus I think worldbuilding is sexy, and I may make a novel set here. So here is a backstory.

The year 1 AKL is a year denoting when the ISP New World finally landed on its destination, Kepler 22c, an Earth-like planet in the Kepler system, a solar system far away from Earth. This was not necessarily a happy occasion though. At the time of launching a ship, Earth people had been traveling to and settling on different planets for over a century, and were going through a period of international dictatorship after a warlord named Ye Boqin lead China to become a unilateral power and almost destroyed the planet. He sent people he considered criminals: 1 million jailed peoples who'd committed various crimes, 70% of which were accused of speaking against the government; to land on the planet as an ex-communication and purging of the planet's prisons. When the ship landed in the dense forests of the new planet, its residents stepped out alone, and uncertain of what was before them. A makeshift settlement was crafted around the ship, whose massive frame still towered over the landscape, seen for miles. The English-speaking settlers began calling it "Point One," which other speakers bastardized and which shaped the current name of the city: Panin.

The build is set in the year 330 AKL. Over 330 years, the city flourished and underwent many challenges. It was conquered by the likes of over a dozen different kingdoms, all trying to gain power over the first city on Kepler. Old castles and various monuments remain in the city, different architectural feats highlighting the many different inhabitants and annexers of the city. Panin in 330 AKL is a protected city, an international landlocked city who is autonomous over itself. A slew of different people and things live there, and it is known for being cramped and small despite a rather large population. For 50 years the countries around it have refused to give land to the city despite the continuing boom in population.

Below are certain special areas of the city. There can be many more, and you can create whatever, but these are just things we should have:

The Remains of the ISP New World: What once was a huge ship capable of holding a million people has been reduced to almost nothing. It has been used as scrap for centuries, contributing to the scenery around it that is Panin. Now only part of the base and some lower areas remain, and it is at the center of the city.

The Daiki Market: The Daiki are a underground clan of people whose origins are unknown, who take advantage of the cramped and layered aspect of the city and have created a market in the deepest chasms of its streets. Much of it is underground or under buildings. The Daiki are known for wearing cat or fox masks and speaking the language of Showin, a mixture of Chinese and Japanese and other unknown influence. They have shrines and hangouts all around the city, and don't talk to many people. Many of them are good fighters and they'll kill confrontational or overly-bartering costumers.

The Palace of Clairmont: The Clairmonts were a family of politicians who gained esteem and following in the mid 1st century. In 78 AKL, after a dispute in the Seventh Parliamentary Meeting of Panin, Pierre Clairmont gathered an army of supporters and overthrew the government. In the plot of the congressional building he had erected a castle, who did not get finished until ten years after his death. It was completed in 109 AKL, and was used to house the Clairmont royalty for 45 years. The Clairmonts built an empire across the continent of Proseper, which Panin sits in the middle of. A coup occurred in 154 AKL after a financial crisis in the east of the Panin empire, and after a decade of fighting, Panin was taken. The empire was made a republic, but endured 100 years of various independence movements and successions, until it was made an autonomous city in 259 AKL. The palace is still upkept, and is used for tourism, events, and the occasional parliamentary meeting.

The Bluelight District: While the surrounding city has taller buildings and apartments, the Bluelight District is an area surrounding the Palace of Clairmont and the remains of the ISP New World. It's relatively clearer and more spacious, with houses adorning winding paths. It's the oldest part of the city. This part of the city has a street in the center whose paths are lit by blue lanterns, giving it its name.

The Normal Cityscape: Narrow streets with catwalks passing over them and large winding structures looming over everything is a common sight in Panin. It is easy to get lost, and not uncommon for your house to be on the 12th floor of a tower of houses. Paths 100 feet above the ground is a good thing, and think about having less horizontal space and more vertical space.

Sjornie Park: An artificial park platformed on top of a section of the city. You'll feel like you're walking through a serene forest despite being 300 feet over a bustling metropolis, with the sounds of the city a distant quaking beneath you. On the edges of the platform are viewing areas, and if you're scared of heights, don't look down. Then again, if you're scared of heights, why are you in Panin? Named after Hanz Sjornie, a Flintish architect who proposed and sought the project through completion.

I encourage you to grow upon the lore and make areas of your own to reflect the lore. This is a flexible and malleable idea. I want to have fun worldbuilding, and want to hone my Minecraft skills on a huge project. Let's try to see how far we can get into this.
