Best Pizza Party [OPEN]

She had it all set up. Declan and Kuno would just have to deal with it. Hours had gone into the normally pristine dorm room. She'd blown up balloons and hung streamers, grabbed extra tables and chairs, played, drinks, colored lights, and a fruit punch bowl that she'd definitely checked to be sure was only fruit punch and absolutely nothing else. Everything oozed dark shades of black, reds, oranges, and greens- all those terribly spooky colors. Sure, it was a little early for Halloween, but she wasn't going to just skip her chance at fun. Cody was snug in the daycare and awaiting his first annual cavity day. The only thing left to worry about was the guests. And if she'd put her costume on right.

Dakota paused in front of every mirror, running her fingers through her softly curled hair, flashing a bit of her delicate pointed fangs, and admiring her pristine gothic dress... I'm baby blue. (It was the only color they had left.)

Nevermind she shouldn't be able to keep staring her own reflection down, as she was. Kota wrinkled her nose one last time at the mirror, glancing around the room. Chips. Cookies. Pizza. Lots of pizza. Probably more pizza than candy. And a large chocolate, red velvet cake, with seventeen candles adorning the top. She was ready.

Soon as there was a knock on the door, the spring swept elegantly over, creeking the door open. " Good evening!"

Oh sheezus, a vampire.

She'd never met this girl in her life. Or in her unlife. Behind the delicate curls, old school dress, and fake blood, she vaguely remembered her from some tournament match-up that she couldn't remember the result of (that might have involved real blood), but at the same time that could've been any ginger in the school for as far as she could remember. Poppy wasn't even exactly sure of her name. But she showed up anyway, thrown a sheet over her head and cut some holes for eyes, remembered she didn't have any spare sheets, cried a little bit, but still mustered up the resolve to show up anyway.

Basically, she'd heard there was pizza.

"Trick-or-treat," Poppy said, slipping around her without an invitation inside. That was one of the boons of not being a vampire. Maybe, if she kept the sheet on, she'd think she was someone that she actually knew, and not just a poltergeist about to haunt the punch bowl.

Will smiled as he pulled the fifth (and final for the moment) pizza from the oven. He enjoyed that Kota's birthday fell so close to Halloween, it was nice to combine the two days for a fun party, although he was starting to sweat off the pale Dracula makeup that he had on from the heat of the oven. He patted himself dry with a towel, careful not to smudge, and set the pizza next to the other four. There were five different types of pizza: cheese, pepperoni, veggie, meat-lovers, and supreme. He readjusted his fake vampire fangs as went to stand near the door to help greet everyone. They were pretty uncomfortable, but it made the costume look better so he suffered through the awkwardness of having realistic fangs sit in his mouth.
