"That's where we're different. I'm exactly the opposite." he replied.

"Maybe that is why I like hanging out with you so much, cause we are opposites." Sophia said with a hum. "We get along pretty well." In truth Sophia was actually pretty smart, but there was the fact that she acted to be of average intelligence for reasons that she probably wouldn't reveal to anyone. She wasn't going to get close to anyone. Not ever again.

The boy nodded. "We do get along pretty well." he said. "And I think I'm beginning to sober up because my earlier actions are making me cringe."

"Yeah I figured it would turn out this way. There was a reason I didn't do anything." She said placing her sketch book down on the coffee table, then falling over side ways so she was laying on the couch. She had completely forgot about the beer she opened which was sitting on the counter in the kitchen area.

Matthew nodded. "Thank you. I think its best that this doesn't happen. At least not tonight." he said, rubbing his temples. "Again, I'm sorry if I came on too strong."

"Too strong?" She echoed. "Come on, nothing is too strong for me." She said with a slight giggle. "There isn't a need to apologize, you were drunk, or slightly drunk. I don't get drunk too often so I wouldn't know. I have a high tolerance for that stuff." She said.

"If you couldn't already tell, I don't drink. For good reason." he replied, chuckling. "Although I've noticed almost everyone else seems to drink."

"Aw come on that was just your first one." She said with a grin. "It's kind of a bad habit I picked up from my brother. It's good stress relief though." Sophia wasn't afraid to admit that. "Though I never drink that much, never enough to get drunk. Just enough to relax a little." She explained slightly.

"That's a good idea. I probably still won't drink though." he replied. "And at least you're not a drunk like half of the school."

"It's not a good place to be honestly.. Especially when you drink well over your limit, you barely remember when you were drunk.. You don't know what you did, and then you get slightly afraid you did something rash." Sophia said as she sat up, and pulled her knees close to her chest.

"I take it that's happened to you before?" he asked tentatively. He hoped he didn't overstep a boundary, but it was pretty obvious something had happened.

"Twice, it has happened twice. Still haven't exactly figured out what had happened. Eventually I stopped worrying about it. Worrying gets you no where." Both times were fuzzy distance memories to the spring. She just knew that she wouldn't do anything like that again anytime soon. She wouldn't specify on what happened. Don't let anyone too close. No one can get close again. You will only end up hurt in the end, like always. She thought in her mind.

"Sometimes I feel like I worry too much." he said. "And I hope nothing bad happened to you."

"I don't think anything did." She said trying to make sure he didn't worry anymore. Though she had no way of knowing if something bad happened or not. No one would tell her anything besides some smaller details. It was kind of aggravating, but that was in the past. No need to worry anymore, she was safe here. "Nothing to worry about now."

"That's good." he said. He looked at his watch. The time said 1:42 a.m. "Holy shit its late. I should probably be going soon."
