"Well there is the can't think straight part." She muttered softly to herself. She shifted in her spot tucking her feet under her. "I'm pretty sure you could absorb anything in the room. Well except for me." She said, answering his question. "Paper, graphite, charcoal. Yes I have some of that for drawing. Glass is another option." She said naming off somethings.

Matthew nodded. He got up and walked over and touched a piece of glass. Slowly the glass formed over his skin. He took his arm away from the glass and looked at his hand. It was see through. "This is trippy." he said.

Sophia let out a small chuckle. "I bet it is. But it's also trippy when your hand is cracked enough to see through it." She said. It seemed like the hand would be incredibly fragile but surprisingly it was still sturdy. It looked cracked but it still operated like a normal hand, and had the same strength. She wanted to find the limit of this cracking but she was afraid. She didn't want any permanent damage.

"I bet it is. But everybody's got limitations." he replied, letting his arm return to normal.

"I wouldn't call it a limitation.." She said looking at her hands. "I would say it's more so of a recoil or a retaliation of my gift." She explained. It only happened when she used her gift too much.. Well.. bigger cracks happened when she used her gift too much. It was weird.

"Yeah true." he replied. "Do you know why the cracks appear?"

She closed her hands into fists. "All I know about the cracks is that they only appear when I use my gift too much. I don't know why they appear, I don't know why my gift deals damage to me when I use it too much, but I do know how they appear. Though I don't push it too far. I don't let the cracks ever go past my arm." She explained. She let her arms rest beside her. How much longer til the alcohol wears off?

"If I were you, I wouldn't let them get much farther than my elbow." the Winter said. "But that's just me."

She didn't say anything else on the subject. She never felt any pain when it covered her arm. So what was the big deal? Besides she could do more if she let it go up her arm. She looked away from the boy in her room. She leaned forward, and grabbed her sketch pad, and pencil again, and started drawing once again. "How much time has passed?"

The boy shrugged. "I'm not really sure. I was just about to ask you that, actually. I'd say maybe 25 minutes?" he said.

Sophia let out a sigh. It felt like it had been longer than that. She shifted in her spot slightly pulling out her phone from her pocket. She checked the time, but she wasn't exactly sure what time he had drank the beer. "I wish the time would pass faster.." She said, tossing her phone to the empty side of the couch, then returning to her drawing.

"Yeah me too. Is there anything we could do to pass the time?" he asked. In truth, it felt like it had been way longer. But he was just estimating. "I could be wrong on the time thing, you know. I was just guessing." he added.

Sophia shrugged not looking up from her drawing. "There isn't much to do. Unless you want to explore my room but there isn't much in there either." All that was in her room was a few school things, and a bunch of art supplies. That was really the only thing that made her room stand out. Everything else was the generic stuff that came with the dorm. She still hadn't decorated or anything. "Though all you will find in there is art stuff.."

Matthew shrugged. "I'm not really an artsy person. And I'm not really sure what to do to pass the time either." he replied.

"See I'm all about anything creative, Singing, dancing, drawing, acting, all that jazz. Except for playing an instrument, I can't really do that." She picked her pencil up off the paper, and looked at her drawing for a moment. She then erased a few things, then turned the pencil around and started drawing again. "I'm not into all the smart stuff."
