The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptyFri Feb 07, 2014 9:26 pm

It's 8pm, the air is gripping and the moon is shining, but on the Beata Academy campus, excitement is bubbling. All week long the dance has been anything anyone has been thinking about, there had been voting and shopping, and many people had scrambled to find dates on time. School work and training had become long forgotten with the ideas of the dance. Everyone knew that it was a Winter Wonderland typed theme, but never had anyone expected what they were about to see.

Long forgotten was the old Grand Hall, but now it was a winter oasis. A mixture of twinkling lights and icicles hung down from the ceilings at varying heights, accompanied by a small falling of delicate snow flakes. (Thanks to Beata's own Mrs. Katrina Miller, who had conjured up a temporary fall of snow for the night). In the middle was the dance floor, it regular white marble floors, but for the night it worked. Dotted towards the sides of the dance floor were tables, covered in a frosty white-blue table cloth and doted with a bouquet of white roses. And on the other side of the dance floor, at the end of the room was the stage. It was covered in ice crystals and sculptures and band instruments, but the real beauty were the crowns and tiaras. The Queen and King crowns were obvious, they were both quite a bit larger than the Prince and Princess, but all of the crowns sat to the side of the stage on a white pillow, supported by an ice column. To the right of the stage sat the refreshments like the ever-so-famous punch, that had been unknowingly spiked and a series of other snacks. To the left of the stage sat a medium make-shift photobooth, completed with props that matched the Winter Wonderland theme (white masks, white hats, silly big glasses, etc.) It was a gorgeous venue and this year, the students who had helped create it with their gifts or designs had really outdone themselves.

A happy, up beat song started to signal the beginning of the dance. At 10 the band would be playing their songs for the dance tonight, followed by the crowning which would be happening at 10:30 sharp. Surely to be an unforgettable night.

Ooc: Yay, finally have the dance topic, but I do want to ask that you try to refrain from single sentences for posts for this topic. And also, try not to overly post in the topic with another person and leave the rest of the people RPing in the dust! Enjoy!

The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptyFri Feb 07, 2014 9:35 pm

Well, quietly entering was Lamia. Being the assigned singer to the band, she had decided to be the first to arrive. Besides, there was nothing wrong with wanting to help set-up the stage and such, considering all the equipment they have... Honestly, she didn't even really know the rest of the band members, all she knew was that they were all given songs by their manager anonymously and had to practice. So... this was going to be fun, sort of. Wearing a short white jacket and the like (have a link because I'm lazy - append version replace red with blue), she didn't exactly... feel ready. Sure, she had practiced all week ever since she got the music at her dorm out of nowhere, but... Just hope she doesn't freak out.

As soon as she walked in, the sights were quite different than what she had originally believed they would be like - glistening crystals and everything. And most of all - the crowns. Lamia didn't want to win, it'd be strange... Another thing was that Katsuo had also made it into the top elections, so that was even stranger. Looking around, she got up the stage and started to test the microphone before anyone else arrived. Yeah... just, get that over with first. With a few taps and such, and a small tap echoed back, the time thief looked up and quietly sang a few notes on the scale, just to double check that the mic worked. Oh, it was those sort of normal microphones with the stand and such, so. Moving on.

In the meantime...

Aethra was rushing, it was ridiculous, but she still hadn't finished dressing. It wasn't like she really cared, but since so many people were going, just jump the bandwagon. "Dear, I'll be late... Maybe I'll... just run there and use my mirages to dress there." Good plan, sure. Looking around, the clock was striking and she had a few minutes. Nope, not enough time at all. Flinging the dorm room open, she sprinted out, not caring that she was only partially dressed.

As soon as she arrived by the grand hall where the dance was at, Aethra then just felt absolutely embarrassed that she didn't exactly... finish dressing. She didn't consider the possibilities of the guys being there yet. Looking around, she quickly did a quick spin or so, and her formal dress appeared. It had artificial wings, so she'd stand out a bit, but she had no time to think. (dress + wings) As soon as she finished, she went inside and remembered she forgot something... The food she baked for the dance. Sighing as she went back to go get them, this seemed like it was going to be a great night.

The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySat Feb 08, 2014 12:01 am

Night had befallen the school, signaling that the time for the Winter Formal was nigh. The shadowed form of a student walked down the path towards the Grand Hall, where the dance was taking place. While he had tried to spend as much time as possible ignoring the feelings, Jacob couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. In fact, for the last couple of days he had made time to walk from his dorm to the hall just so he wouldn't get lost along the way. Usually he was not the kind of person to get nervous over, well, anything, but this wasn't something he normally did. It wasn't that long ago that he had been bold enough to ask someone to this dance, and now it had come time to realize this first date. A first date with this girl, a first date with any girl: it was a rather daunting prospect. He had to steel himself, though: this was not the time to get cold feet. Heh, cold feet at the Winter Formal… nope, nope, none of that, not tonight please.

As he reached the entrance to the Grand Hall, he took a moment to just stand there and collect himself. Considering the fancy affair, he had decided that this was the moment to wear that appropriately fancy tuxedo that he had worn maybe once before. It wasn't an attire he had ever thought he would wear, but his mother had been insistent on him bringing it, just in case. Good call. Running a hand through his hair one last time and hoping that it still remained straight, he took the required steps forward and made his way inside. Once inside, his eyes widened at the sight. Gorgeous was probably the right word to describe it. White everywhere, just like walking in a winter wonderland. Everything was so meticulously placed, and it was even snowing. Sticking out a hand in disbelief, he was surprised all over again as he watched an elegant snowflake fall upon his palm. It was like magic or something… or perhaps a power of some kind? Eyes sweeping the room, he glanced around looking for that familiar head of brown hair. It had been a keen stroke of luck that Alicia had agreed to go with him, but their conversation was still playing in his head, and now he was hoping she would still show. It wasn't really a knock on her as much as an understanding of what had happened in the past, but it would still be a tad embarrassing to be, in essence, stood up. Maybe if he sat down- no, no, none of that. Nope. No. He was sure she would show. All he had to do was find her.

The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySat Feb 08, 2014 2:31 am

FEAR MY WALL OF TEXT.

This tux was uncomfortable and tight on him.
Why was he here again?
Ah, that's right. He had placed his faith on the wrong horse.
Jason walked slowly through the hallways, in no hurry at all to get to the dance on time. He paused, seeing a small mirror hanging up on one wall and looking at the reflection inside. The young man he saw was well cleaned up, a confident look on his face - and pretty damn handsome at that. He certainly looked great, now if only he could feel as wonderful as he looked. Jace loosened his collar with his finger and fixed his sleeves for the eighteen time thus far that night.  He had been strongly encouraged forced to go out and buy a new tuxedo in Rosebury, the finest they had - along with the matching tie and hankerchief to match his date's dress.
Speaking of which, where was she? The young man glanced around, thinking since they were sharing a dorm now that you would've thought he'd have noticed her by now - or that she couldn't have been far off. He scoffed, recalling the thought. Seriously, what were the odds? Of all people? Though, along with his new roommates Penny and (finally) Jayden, he supposed there was no room to complain. The autumn only hoped that the sweet Miss Andrews wasn't the type to take ten years getting ready. He was normally one for being fashionably late, but he didn't feel like waiting around all night.

Her heart was beating so fast, her palms were sweating. She couldn't help but wonder if this was all completely normal or not. The young woman had stayed up late in the night before, trying to focus and predict if anything bad would come to the dance - to her in particular, but it was all a blur. Nothing of interest stood out and she might as well have been left in the dark on what events were happening tonight. That terrified her just a bit.
Yet still, she had no intentions of doing her... her date wrong, nor showing up a mess. She'd spent the entire day getting ready carefully. Some other girls in her dorm had helped her straighten her hair and pull it gently to the side, doing her make-up and making sure her gown fit. Oh, it was a beautiful thing, one that Alicia considered herself very lucky to find. To her, it was simple yet elegant, and the color really looked well on her. Yet, as she stood there in her long dress and high-heels, she couldn't help but feel extremely self-conscious. She always had a love for formal occasions, but she couldn't help but wonder what other people would think of her? Was she trying too hard and looking as silly as she felt, or...?
Alicia bit her lip, hands folded together tightly and held in front of her waist as she walked towards the dance. It'd be no use standing outside worrying about it, right? There was plenty of room to worry inside.
The place really was beautiful, and those who had planned it had really outdone themselves, yet Alicia found herself lost on the dance floor - standing still and alone as she looked around with wide-eyes; honestly having no idea where to go.

If she wasn't going for the music, nor the dancing, or the romantic dating - or lack there of - you can be damn sure that she would be going for the food.
Brailynn sat quietly on her bed, fiddling around with the necklace in her hands as she gazed down at it. She was supposed to go straight to the dance after coming out of Rosebury, her hair and nails done, her brand new dress trailing gently alongside her - being given the special treatment for the oh-so wonderful night. "You look beautiful," was what she heard, but that didn't mean she necessarily felt like it. She supposed she shouldn't be too long, since for God-knew-what-reason she was nominated for Queen, though she didn't expect to win - she supposed she should still make a timely appearance. The young woman glanced at the clock on her wall. Then again, what would the rush be? All dances were the same and things wouldn't be getting interesting until that punch really kicked in. (Eloise had done her the favor of cluing her in on that.)
Yes, she would be coming, but for now just sitting here seemed nice.

Ethan was busy being a potato.

A new young man to the school, tall and with frizzy hair sticking up loosely in various directions, walked into the dance with seemingly little care. He had to admit, the place hadn't been all he had expected it to be - with what from the hype of both his parents and sister. The place wasn't as "high-tech" or special as he had anticipated, though the view was nice. He paused when another student walked by, her dress short and heels high. Scratch that, the view was very nice. They hadn't done a bad job setting up the place either, he thought as he glanced around the area. "Not bad." He mused. Preston, was his name, headed straight for the punch - grabbing a glass and finding a seat near the dance floor. Hopefully this place would be filling up quickly. He could use some entertainment.

The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySat Feb 08, 2014 11:00 am

Aiko walked out to where the formal was being held. She looked around with wide brown eyes that glittered with feelings of awe and excitement. Oh, she was always excited, but this was a special occasion! She hadn't come with a date, but she didn't mind. She was always more interested in making friends with everyone. Love was a complicated thing that she felt for very few people; all of which were family members that she cared deeply for. Speaking of which, the one family member she was closest to was coming right now. He hadn't run with her to the area, and instead walked at his own pace. Aiko on the other and had gotten too excited and ran ahead. Turning around, she waved at her brother for him to hurry up.

Katsuo sighed, shaking his head at his sister's excessive excitement. It couldn't be that cool could it oh my god it is. He gazed around at the ice sculptures and the snowflakes falling from seemingly nowhere. He smiled as one landed on his nose. He turned as Aiko gave him a playful shove and pointed at the stage. His eyes following the direction she had motioned, and his own golden-brown eyes widened in shock. It was...Beautiful, even if that was an overused term for things like this. Suddenly he remembered that Lamia would be singing tonight, so she was probably already here. Maybe he should go say hi to her? Was he allowed backstage? Maybe he should just wait out here...
There goes Aiko, running over to look at everything shiny...Which was everything, yes. Katsuo rolled his eyes in amusement and stood alone, looking at the stage.

Ooc: Aiko's dress
Katsuo's outfit(minus the cup, earring, yellow eyes, basically everything except the suit and gloves; and technically his hair is like that too nyehhhdetails)

PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySat Feb 08, 2014 7:48 pm

A dance was not Jackie's ideal way of spending an evening... But she had been curious about the Grand Hall. So here she was. Dateless. Stuffing her face with snacks.

Turning around from the table, snacks in hand, Jackie's eyes wandered about the Hall approvingly. Fragile-looking icicles and little twinkling lights hung harmoniously about the ceiling, accentuating the blue-white tables surrounding the broad dance floor. Now this was Jackie's ideal surroundings. Maybe she could convince her roommates to remodeling their dorm to look like this... It'd be pretty calming, don't you think?

Just across the dance floor from her stood Benjamin, leaning against the stage. He'd only came because of his new girlfriend... Whom he didn't know much about, but why should that matter? All he cared about was getting laid and, from the way things were going, it wouldn't be long before he did. The thought made him smile to himself rather deviously as he swiped a large hand through his greased locks. Not very many girls could resist his charms. And that's how should always be.

Montare walked into where the formal was held, wearing a simple tuxedo with a dark cyan bowtie. He had one hand in his pants pocket, the other over at his side. He looked around the grand hall in amazement, taking in everything. The room looked wonderful, and it was even lightly snowing, helping add to the feel of a winter wonderland. After he was done looking around, he looked over at whom he had his arm locked with.

The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySun Feb 09, 2014 1:02 pm

A pretty girl with long flowing dark curls and in a delicate pink, flowery dress was all that Noa saw when she looked in the mirror. It was crazy, she had no idea that she could look like this. Never before had she wore makeup or even curled her hair, so it was weird feeling- much less looking this glamorous. She just hoped that Jayden would like it, he had asked her a while ago, but Noa still couldn't believe it. Now granted, she couldn't even imagine if he went with someone else- they were friends in all, but Noa was really starting to like him. He was her best friend here and the only person she could imagine spending the night with. But this actually made her nervous. Noa hadn't even made it to the dance and her palms were already sweaty. The girl shifted around nervously trying to gain the courage to leave the safe confinement of her dorm room.
With a shaky breath Noa left the dorm room and shuffled slowly down the halls and over to the Grand Hall. She had heard that it was going to be amazing, but she had definitely not imagined what she was about to see. Noa looked around nervously for Jayden, she didn't see him out in the Hallways and figured he must already be in there. With that in mind, Noa walked inside to see the most beautiful scenery she had seen while here at Beata. She couldn't help but wonder how they had made all of this in such little time.

"Ugh!" The autumn girl exclaimed as she dropped her red lip-liner onto the bathroom floor. It was quite a site to see, a rather frantic Verona doing her makeup over her bathroom counter, in only her undergarments. She had made the mistake of taking a quick nap before the dance. She enjoyed being fashionably late, she just didn't want to be too late, after all you can't rush perfection. Luckily for the girl, her hair had taken no time at all, seeing as though she had fell asleep in rollers and her hair didn't take too long to twist back into an elegant half up half down twist. But her hands were slightly shaking due to nerves, so she was having troubles getting her makeup done quickly. She really hoped Jason wouldn't be too frustrated with her for being late, after all she was the reason he was even going at all; but maybe when he saw he he'd feel a little different. It was true, Verona did look beautiful, even more pretty than she normally did and when she finally slid into her fitting dress she literally sparkled. By now she was the only one left in the dorm room, so to save time the girl grabbed her heels and made her way there without the extra 4 or so inches.
When she was a good 20 feet away, the girl slid into her heels and looked around for Jace. The blonde was easy to spot, adjusting his collar and when he looked around for her, Verona made eye contact with him. Immediately she gave him a little wave and flashed him a smile. "Don't you look dashing," She purred running a hand down his arm. "Sorry I left you waiting out here for so long. I'm fast on a horse, but not so fast getting ready." Verona gave him a satisfied once over, and was glad to see he had bought such a clean suit and not some tacky blue one. But the girl was ready to go, and looked over at the entrance and back at him- hoping he'd get the hint.

Eloise was also ready for the dance, but for a different reason. She could care less about looking all fancy and was dressed in a a leather dress. It was a stark contrast from the froofy or flashy dresses that girls around he were sporting. Exactly what she wanted, because she wasn't here to dance or to be crowned. She was here to get drunk and watch other people get drunk. Yes, Eloise had been the one who had spiked the punch, but she had been very discrete about it. Eloise had told almost no one, other than that sleaze she had gotten the alcohol from, but he was old and wouldn't even be at this dance anyway. But she was just excited to watch all these pretty girls and jocky guys fall all over themselves and embarrass themselves. How fun would it been to see the King and Queen completely hammered? Ah, the idea made her chuckle to herself, luckily she was all by herself at a table next to the refreshments, so no one heard her. She wasn't lonely in the slightest, and took a swig of the punch, feeling the red liquid burn as it sloshed down her throat. Looking over she watched as a boy took a seat near her. With a pursed lip the girl studied him, before offereing a, "You new here?"

PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySun Feb 09, 2014 1:45 pm

Following behind the bunch of people that entered into the Grand Hall, Zane Fenrir followed in a slow pace, allowing even those behind him to enter showing that he was indeed in no rush to get to this and that like others were. It was going to be quite a night if anything could be said about a well prepared or even a unexpected party. In the case of the one before him, the Grand Hall was brilliantly designed for it and it was something that caught his attention due to his love of art and scenery like this. He really wished that he could have helped with setting it up, but for multiple reasons, he was not apart of it, but none of them were extremely important. Continuing from the entrance of the grand hall, Zane paused for a moment wanting to observe everything around him, tried to take note of everything going on from the dance floor to the people of to the sides not trying to take any attention. It was extremely likely through that Zane was taking quite a bit of attention though as he wore something that everyone would believe would be left in ruins by the end of the night. For others could see, that Zane was wearing a pure white tuxedo, it would indeed be the reason why he would be advoiding the drink and punch this evening. The last thing that he needed was Red upon this nice suit.

Zane didn't have a date for this dance but it was definitely a gathering of people, so perhaps he could meet a few new people, enjoy sometime on the dance floor, or at least catch the attention of others that weren't on the dance floor as he was fairly certain that pure white in this winter wonderland would blend, but also stick out like a sore thumb. The blend of the two was rather perfect for this occasion and Zane like this, after all, he was the person that decided to wear it in the first place. With a final look around, he hoped he would find something of interest to him, although he wasn't looking for anything too specific, so his eyes were wide open for anything and everything.

The quiet footsteps of red converse sneakers echoed through the halls, trying desperately not to trip on the slightly-too-long dark lavender Gardevoir-style dress. I hate dresses.

That was the only thought in young Cythrakeus Wright's head as she almost ran through the halls. She'd made the mistake of trying to tame the roaring monster that was her hair. She succeeded, besides the one part that always stuck up. (And she believed if she cut it off, it'd just reappear, so she just left it there.) Even though she'd managed to tame the roaring beast, it was going to make her un-punctual. She was always punctual. Brushing a piece of hair behind her ear, she turned the corner and almost ran straight into someone. "Sorry!" she yelled behind her as she continued down the hall, turning on her heels and slowing her pace and walking smoothly into the beautiful Great Hall.

More like Fucking Amazing Hall.

The Great Hall was beyond beautiful-- she'd have to congratulate everyone involved, because it was a sight to behold. "Damn," she muttered under her breath, in awe. She gave herself a vigorous shake and scanned her eyes over the people within the Hall. There he is, she thought to herself, eyes finding Montare Lupo. She walked over, giving him her trademark shiteating grin. "Sup, dork."

Damn, I'll be late to the formal and the concert! Jane Lyskiney hissed as she ran down the halls, a flowing black silk dress with matching gloves flowing behind her as her feet flew across the floor. The near-perfect curls bounced with her run, and she stopped at the entrance, her grin wide as she saw the stage. She paused for a moment to admire the beauty.

Walking inside, she ran to the snacks and slipped herself a few crackers before trying to find the backstage area- where shewould meet up with other students about the band performance, and sure she was nervous. Her eyes scanned the area before finding the door, and made her way, slowly. Jane took in the sights of the dance floor, ceiling, and walls. Nothing but a look of amazement on her face, she got to the door and slipped inside, making sure to let no other student see the large area where the band would prepare for the spotlight they got to own for some time. When she walked towards her instrument, she took the guitar pick from her hairband and set it between the strings. Looking around, she noticed the other girl there before going back to her own business.

The brown-haired teenager took a few minutes to look at the music beside the stand. What was planned she all knew, and her grin widened at the sight of a few of the songs. But her grin soon faded when a lightbulb flickered, and hoped it wasn't her causing it, yet that was a doubt. Sitting down in a corner, she nibbled on the crackers she took and continued to read the music, her head dancing with a visualization of the performance. Jane's eyes were bright with excitement, and her hype for her to play before the students of Beata. "You excited for this?" Jane called out, not exactly expecting an answer.

Finally, after casting his gaze upon the hall for a second time, his eyes landed upon Alicia, standing there alone on the floor. This caused his eyes to widen, and it was only a sheer force of will that his jaw didn't fall to the floor; metaphorically, of course. If anything, she was more gorgeous than the elegant room they were standing in. In that red dress, her beauty just seemed to pop out and shine radiantly along the dance floor, enough so that Jacob was surprised no one was even looking that way. Feeling his face begin to flush, the brown-haired boy tried to shake it off and made himself walk forward, making his way onto the dance floor and towards Alicia.

"Hey Alicia!" he called out as he approached her, running a hand down his tux just to make sure it was all smoothed down. It was, but seeing Alicia there had caused him to second-guess that reality. Was his face still flushed? Hopefully not. "I'm glad you could make it. You look amazing." Was that too forward? Maybe it was. It was a first date after all, but it was a dance. His face was definitely a bit red now. Still, he was able to keep himself composed enough to give her a big smile. The music was quite nice, so that was something. He wondered if he looked alright. This tuxedo hadn't been worn that often, after all.

The Winter Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter Formal   The Winter Formal EmptySun Feb 09, 2014 3:51 pm

It was such a gorgeous hall. All of the decorations simply took Lindsey's breath away. She had been kind of looking forward to the event ever since it was announced at the big meeting just last week, and so she had gone crazy trying to find a good dress among all of her simple shorts and t-shirts, tank tops, and tennis shoes. She had remembered always wanting to go to prom before she had transferred here, so she thought of it as the same thing and with everyone else that had already arrived being so dressed up, she felt as if she fit right in. Even though she had no one to go with and already she could see couples pairing up as their dates arrived, she took a moment to look over herself to make sure that everything was still in place. With her dress being one that she had managed to find at the thrift shop and it somehow fit perfectly, she wanted to make sure that it looked perfect. The color was absolutely gorgeous on her slightly tanned skin and she felt that she had managed to do a decent enough job with her hair. It wasn't overly complicated, even though it felt like it had taken her hours of curling, straightening and recurling her hair to get it just right. So in the end, she looked just like this. And she felt fantastic. Although since she was dateless, all she could think to do was quickly find an empty table and set her things down before sitting in an empty chair to watch the others marvel at each other's styles and talk about everything under the sun. She really needed some more friends.

As for Richard, he was going to head towards the dance, but as he walked out of his own dorm, he thought about Brailynn. He had forgotten that she was nominated for queen and himself being a nomination as well. It was a very interesting surprise considering he didn't really know too many people and he couldn't really think of a single one who would want to nominate him for the dance king. After all, he couldn't even really dance. It was terribly awkward, but nonetheless he had to go. But before he was going to the dance, his first stop was Lynn's dorm room. If she was still there, he just figured that they could walk over there together if nothing else. She was basically his only real friend. After arriving in silence, he lightly rapped his knuckles on the door, hoping that she would answer. If not, he'd just have to go to the ball by himself which wasn't really that big of a deal-- it would just be nice to have some company.

It took her so long to get ready, but now Penny was dressed up and ready to go. She had to take at least fifteen minutes to look at herself over and over in the mirror making sure that her hair was right, the makeup wasn't smearing, and that her dress was absolutely perfect. She remembered wearing this amazingly beautiful dress for another formal she had been to for her previous high school. As a matter of fact, it had been for a military ball of some sort. But now she was wearing it for this winter formal and boy did it bring attention. She knew how she looked in the dress. That's exactly why she wore it. She wanted attention and this was a great way of getting it. "This place looks amazing!" she said as she stepped into the hall and looked around at the gorgeous lighting and decorations. It was nothing like she had ever seen before. But after getting over the looks of the building, she looked around to see who was here. Not too many people, but the crowd was growing quickly.

The Winter Formal Empty

Montare grinned slightly at Cyth's remark. "Hey, Cyth. You look really nice in that dress." he responded with, looking at her in her dress. It was true, she looked great. Montare didn't particularly care how he looked, despite him getting ready in a bit of a rush. Anyhow, he began to walk over to the punch table to get a drink, fully unaware that it had been spiked, as well as unaware that spiked punch was a common thing. As he walked, he continued to look around the winter wonderland of a grand hall the place was, taking notice of how many people were now around. Hopefully none of them would come up and try to spread what he'd once done to Cyth and ruin this all for him.

The Winter Formal Empty

Kimply huffed as the strange, converse clad girl nearly knocked her over. Shoving a strand of freshly curled pink hair behind her ear, she dropped her head and continued the opposite direction of the dance. Her light pink heels clicked against the tiles, and the sound of many other pairs of heels filled the hall for a while, until she took a turn that led her away from the path everyone else was walking on. As soon as she saw her name on the ballet, she immediately let administration know to take her name off the list, that she wouldn't be attending, and that she had better things to do than dance with a bunch of people she didn't even like. However, she had went to look at the Great Hall out of pure curiosity, and she still wanted to get all dressed up. Even if her heels were killing her. And even if the only person she wanted to be with tonight was currently a vegetable. Adjusting the hem of her baby blue dress, she quickly decided that wouldn't stop her from seeing him.
The sound of a single pair of heels clicked on towards the infirmary.

Jayden casually leaned back in his seat, his bass guitar resting in his lap as he played random notes. His suit was extremely uncomfortably, and he silently cursed his brother for making him wear this stupid tux. He would admit that he looked dashing, but that didn't mean it wasn't stiffly. He felt bad that he wouldn't be able to pick up Noa from her dorm, but he had been here for half an hour or so already, and he didn't want her to rush.
He looked up and noticed his brother's date finally arrive. Smirking, he caught his brother's gaze and signed a quick Good luck. He had heard about Verona, and when his brother informed him about them going together, he had asked Jace if he'd lost a bet. He'd laughed for quite some time after finding out that he had guessed correctly.
After his hands fell back to his bass, his smirk quickly left as he noticed someone walk in not too long after Verona. In fact, it was replaced by a slack jaw and wide eyes, which he quickly wide away before someone could notice. However, the his quickened heartbeat didn't stop at the sight of Noa walking in, clad in an elegant gown and.. her hair... and just... wow. Wow.

It was a beautiful night when Emelia walked through the large doors leading into the Grand Hall, her jaw dropping as she looked around at the winter wonderland she had just walked into. She quickly decided she had never been to any place more beautiful than this. She quickly forgot about not having a date for this, deciding that with a place as beautiful as this, she didn't need anyone to dance with. She'd have all the fun in the world. On her own.
Maybe not.
Sighing, she walked on over towards the table where all the food was and quickly poured herself some punch. Her hair fell down in waves on one side and her dress was especially green and sparkly, bringing out her eyes. She wasn't stupid. She was aware that she looked good, but she still felt pretty bummed about being alone. But whatever. No biggy. Not like she cared. Nope.

Morgan hadn't arrived long after Emelia, though she was in an exceptionally better mood. Aside from being a bit scared about accidentally running into someone and burning them, she had enjoyed getting ready for the dance, and hoped she would have an excellent time. Always the optimist, after all. She was having a tough time walking on her heels, but her dress was cute and comfortable. Her hair was in a loose bun that she could only hope would stay in place, and bracelets clinked on her wrist every time she moved. She chewed on her lip as butterflies danced around in her stomach.
The dance was about to start.
