Round 1: Pepper Ashina vs. Morgan Laiten

Morgan had done all that she really could, and when Pepper turned over and began to plummet, she held on for as long as possible, forcing herself to watch as the ground approached. The snow whipped at her face, and though the cold did nothing to her, the fact that the blizzard was steadily picking up couldn't be good. Close enough to the ground now, Morgan let go, figuring being crushed by a giant dragon was not a fun way to go. She closed her eyes and prepared for impact. She had put up a fight, and was content.

She landed in a snow bank, of soft and powdery snow. Still, considering how fast and from how far she fell, it wasn't a pleasant landing. Pain radiated from her back, and she laid there trying to catch her breath, the wind knocked out of her hard. Not far off, along the mountain top, she could just make out the shape of Pepper. Morgan sat up slowly, watching the dragon as she looked- well, not looked, for her. Smelled? Searched?

In a way, Morgan wasn't worried. With how heavily the snow was picking up, and the fact that she was covered with the white blanket, she figured any trace of her scent was covered by the nothingness of snow. Her opponent may have been incredibly angry, but at the same time, she was completely blind and her senses most have been blocked out by the storm. Morgan figured she didn't have much chance against a dragon, but slowly and slowly, she felt the playing field even out.

Now she was royally pissed. Not only was she blind, but the snow was getting real fucking annoying. Taking a few steps forward, which ended up being more of a couple stumbles forwards, she got the feeling of walking in snow and trees without her sight. This was it, she needed to hurry and finish this girl off, once and for all. They were technically aloud to kill other students, so this shouldn't be too difficult. Pepper was a bit worried that she'd end up chasing this girl around forever, but she knew the stakes were high.

Starting to get a bit cold, she breathed a breath of fire, also making sure everything was working so when she found the girl, nothing would be left. Lowering her head towards the ground so it was a bit lower than tree level, Pepper walked forwards relatively slowly, setting the dead trees on fire and melting some snow. Not only would the fire help her warm up so she could move faster (cold blooded animal fact, not being "OP" by warmin' her up), but she might as well sweep the forest of everything that got in her way so it'd be easier to hunt that little roach down. Honestly, by now she doubted that she could find the girl on her own, so the girl would just have to come to her in order to fight, and unfortunately for Morgan, fighting was the only way to win or die, which in this case she might as well already be dead.

Morgan watched idly as Pepper began burning down the tree. Whether she was covered in snow or ash, she couldn't be sensed, and since fire did nothing to her, she wasn't worried as the forest began to burn down around her. She'd let Pepper spend her energy looking for her, because Morgan wasn't about to attack. Pepper couldn't find her, and Morgan wasn't about to attack a 45 foot dragon she couldn't kill. Both of them were stuck.

The way Pepper saw it, there were two options. Win or die. But Morgan was aware of a much simpler option. Wait. Time was her ally. She didn't really care whether she won or lost at this point. Taking on a dragon and surviving as long as she did, doing as much as she did, she would be fine.
