Round 1: Pepper Ashina vs. Morgan Laiten

Each snowflake that landed on Morgan's skin immediately turned to water, running down her arms before evaporating all together. The cold didn't do much to derail her, despite the fact that she stood in only her uniform, no real defense from the low temperature. She never really paid attention to the temperature, really. Her body was constantly hot anyway. Still, she appreciated the scenery.

While she waited for the match to begin, Morgan stretched. She didn't have a weapon with her, and hoped that whoever she was up against relied on hand to hand combat, which would give her a definite advantage. Easy win there. If their power worked from a distance, she might have a harder time. If she couldn't burn them, and couldn't fight them... Well, she didn't want to think about that just yet.

Looking around at the winter wonderland, Pepper was amazed that the school was able to pull this off. Giving a shiver, the girl turned around, seeing her opponent a little ways away. I wonder what her power is, hopefully this will be quick. Recently, she hadn't been in the best of moods, and when Pepper heard that their was a battling tournament, she signed up before the spots got too full. She figured if anything, this would be a great way to let out some more anger. Continuing to wonder how this place was made, Pepper was also curious as to when the battle would start. Probably any second now...

Looking at girl whom she was supposed to fight, Pepper turned her head from side to side, and a satisfying pop came from her cold bones. Damn, it was pretty amazing how even the weather was changed in this simulation. Well, she honestly had no idea really how this was supposed to work besides them fighting, so she might as well give it her all. Focusing on her power, the once small girl transformed into a 45ft tall, white beast, with gleaming pink/red-ish eyes. It took a couple seconds since she was so large, but soon enough, she was ready for action. The dragon gave a low rumbled from the bottom of her throat and looked down to the trees, which looked more like twigs now. Fortunately for her, everything was bare and dead, so the other student stood out like a soar thumb. Well, let's get this started.

Letting out an ear splitting roar, Pepper stood up on her hind legs and stretched out her wings, giving a couple flaps as if she was going to fly, sending snow flying and trees bending every which way. Most likely, the girl couldn't see anything down on the ground, unless she found some way to dodge the mini snowstorm. Setting her front legs back on the ground, the dragon shook the earth, making some smaller trees fall to the ground. So far, the battle was off to a great start.

Well, shit. Morgan wasn't sure what exactly she was expecting, but a giant dragon was certainly not on the list. Which meant hand to hand and burning was probably off the list. It would be difficult to go hand to hand with a 40 something foot fucking dragon.

Okay. Think. The snow around her was floating around from where the dragons wings disrupted it. Trees bent from the force, a few came crashing down before her. Morgan ducked down, but she could still see around her and the giant shape of a dragon in the distance. She couldn't run or hide, as she'd be easy to spot in this terrain. Morgan was not typically a reckless person, but she didn't see any way out of this running, unless she tired Pepper out, which was unlikely to happen before Morgan was smashed. A roach was harder to catch because of it's size.

And in this instant, Morgan was the roach.

She grabbed a broken limb from a fallen tree, sharp at the end where it broke off, and charged.

Keeping still, Pepper looked down at the girl in amusement. The fact that her opponent hadn't attacked her yet made her wonder what her power was, which it was most likely not a long range gift. Not moving an inch, the dragon watched the girl grab a tree and charge towards her as if she was in a medieval war, fighting for her life. Well, then again, she kind of was. Simply lifting her large foot off the ground so the girl could run under her, the beast gave a yawn. Even if the other person didn't have a very long range power, anything would be interesting, and honestly, she just wanted to move on to the next person already. At least this way I'm not using much strength.

Did this dragon bitch think she was an idiot? Sure, she really wasn't proving her intellect as of right now, but to just... go right under her foot? Morgan stopped, thinking for a moment. The girl's foot rested on a few feet off the ground, close enough for Morgan to get to if she tried...

Okay. She was an idiot. Running forward, she jammed the sharp piece off wood between the girl's claw and toe. It wouldn't kill her, but it was a torture technique, so it would definitely hurt like a bitch.

After doing that, while Pepper was disoriented, Morgan grabbed another piece of wood of decent size, broken off from a fallen tree. She ran behind Pepper, then jumped on the girl's back foot. This was kind of like rock climbing on a bull, and it was by far the scariest thing Morgan had ever done. She began climbing her way to the dragon's back, hanging on for dear life.

Because of Pepper's size, she couldn't excactly tell where the girl was going, a sharp pain soon came from between here claw. Letting out a roar of pain and anger, the dragon tried to find the girl, but she had vanished. Where the hell his she? Looking around her large body, she couldn't see her opponent, but she felt something, almost like a small bug climbing her leg. Now she was royally pissed. Roaring once more, Pepper spread her wings and bunched up her legs. Better hang on tight! Jumping into the air, the beast flapped her wings and flew upwards towards the open sky. This would be the true test: how long can someone hang onto a dragon.

Shit, shit, shit. Morgan was apparently full of stupid courage today. She felt the air move around her as the dragon leaped into the air. Oh god. Oh god. She didn't look down, figuring that jumping would only end in broken bones, if she was lucky. The dragon's scales did nothing for leverage, so Morgan urged her body to heat up, making her hands hot. The scales weren't effected much, as they were strong and mostly fireproof, but little indentations were made where Morgan could hold on. She tried not to hyperventilate as they made it into the air, telling herself not to look down. She couldn't hold on the Pepper's foot forever, she she began to slowly make her way up to her back, preparing for the worst. If she was flung off now, she'd die.

She wouldn't let that happen. She began formulating a plan as she held on to the back of the dragon.

Pepper flew up and up, not really knowing how far this simulation could go, but once she felt it was high enough, she idled in the sky for a few moments. Without warning, the dragon stopped flapping her wings and started falling towards the mountain bellow. She stayed upright so the girl on her back wouldn't fall off, but even if she did, Pepper would catch her before she went splat. Still falling, she decided that she'd dropped enough and spread out her wings once more, catching the air. Pepper wondered if the girl was able to stay on and at the least, she probably got some bruised knees or even a little whiplash from the sudden stop.

Oh god. At the sudden drop, Morgan closed her eyes tight, feeling her heart fly to her throat. It was like the drop of a rollercoaster, and if she hadn't made indents on the dragon's scales, she'd have slid off to her death. For now, she was holding on to dear life, her body hanging in the air as wind screamed in her ears. It was a surreal moment, before her body came crashing into Pepper's back as she straightened out and began to fly again. Holding on tightly, Morgan rested her head against Pepper's scales for a moment, before promptly throwing up. 

Okay, shit. That's gross. 

Feeling increasingly better after that, Morgan began to quickly climb up to Pepper's neck. Now for the hard part. She figured the girl would be fireproof, but there had to be one weak spot, and there was only one place that made sense. She climbed to the top of the girl's head, holding on tight as Pepper twisted and turned. Then, she focused all her willpower on heating up. Fire started around her, crawling down and catching at Pepper's eyes, severely burning them.

Let's see how you do now, bitch.

Although Pepper couldn't feel much through her thick scales, she picked up the disgusting scent of vomit and shook her head in disgust. Seriously? She made the girl puke? How disgusting! Flying towards the sky once more, but a bit slower, the white beast could feel the girl making her way up her neck and onto her head, like an annoying bug that wouldn't die. Staring at Morgan with her sparkling pink eyes, she wondered what in the world she was planning. Unfortunately, she should've saved the thinking for later. A horrible burning sensation filled her eye and Pepper gave a screech of surprise and pain. Was this girl trying to burn her? Yeah, her eye hurt like hell now, but she wouldn't let a little heat take her down.

Shaking her head back and forth, the dragon was excited to see how long the girl could really hold on. At first, this was nothing more than a fun battle, but now Morgan was becoming a Goddamn thorn in her side.

Morgan wasn't giving up that easy. She held on tightly, thankful for all the days she woke up at the ass crack of dawn to work out, and the fact that her hands were slowly burning into the scales she held on to, only making her grasp stronger. Her jaw was clenched. If she opened her mouth, she'd surely bite off her tongue. Again, this was like riding a bull, except on a plane. 

Not letting a little turbulence disrupt her, Morgan continued to burn away at Pepper's eyes. The membrane began to melt under the assault, completely melting away the girl's eyes away, leaving nothing but the socket as dragon blood began to ooze out. 40 foot dragon or not, that had to be an excruciating amount of pain, and she was certain Pepper couldn't stay flying for long under that pressure. While the fire burned and burned, Morgan prepared for her ride to come crashing down.

She'd endured pain, but this was too much. Fucking dragon claws! If only she could at least hold her eyes and comfort herself, but the anatomy of animals was almost completely useless. Well, at least she knew what her opponent's gift was. Honestly, it might not have hurt as much, although the fact that is what in her eye, and Pepper was already losing strength made it ten times worse.

Not able to take anymore of her eyes burning away and everything going dark, Pepper decided if she was gonna endure this shit, then so would the girl. Well, she wasn't really thinking about if she'd die or not, but it didn't really matter, right? Completely stopping all flying, the dragon turned over so her belly faced the sky and fell. Roaring and making other noises that dragons made when in pain, the two of them plummeted towards the earth. Pepper knew that falling this way would ensure her safety, for the scales on her back were far stronger than if she fell on her legs.

For who knows how long, they plummeted towards the earth at full speed before any impact. The giant dragon hit the earth with a crash, and since the mountain was a slope, she slid a little ways, plowing down trees along the way. The girl mostly fell off somewhere along the way, though right now, she didn't care. Finally coming a halt, Pepper let her head laid in snow breathing heavily as the world turned oddly silent. On top of the pain, she was becoming exhausted from staying in her large form for so long.

Get up! Her thoughts screamed, knowing she couldn't lose this battle. All her life, she'd been Pepper, the sweet and innocent girl who cared for everyone, but that girl was no more. She had to prove to everyone that she could be tough, and luckily for her, this tournament was the perfect place to do it. A low rumble emitted from the bottom of the dragon's throat as she started to get up, and Pepper knew that she needed to finish this battle once and for all before she lost all her strength.

Standing up, she gave her body a shake, ridding her of any tree branches or snow. Turning her head around and half panicking, she sniffed for any scent of the girl, trying to scent her out since her eyes wern't very useful anymore. She'd find that girl and teach her a lesson; never mess with an already pissed dragon.
