All Will Fade to Black [Closed]

Edward sighed. "I'm not worth it. I don't really have any reason I'm still alive. You do. You can be better. You have a chance to live a normal life. I don't." he replied, getting tired. It had been a week since he last slept and he needed to get some soon or some serious damage was going to occur. He looked over at the girl, noticing tears forming at the edges of her eyes. "Believe me, if you weren't worth it, I wouldn't have given you a second thought when we first met in the forest."

Rose didn't believe him when he said he wasn't worth anything. "You.. you have a brother... He wants... you around..." Rose didn't have anyone really. All of her real family didn't know about her, or most of them were dead. She didn't really have a chance for a normal life for what happened to her. She would always freak out over the slightest motion towards her. She would deal with really bad anxiety and depression for most of her life. A normal life wouldn't happen with her.

"Me? I don't.. Don't have any.." She only had her adoptive parents and they weren't here. "Don't.. even have... any friends..." She wanted to just specify here, but even back home she didn't have any.

Ed gave a short, bitter laugh. "Trust me, he doesn't want me around." he told her. When she mentioned not having any friends, he looked at her. "Not that it means anything, but you've got me as a friend." He didn't really think of himself as much of a person or friend, but if it helped Rose feel better, he'd do it.

She blinked then gave off a yawn, even though it was hard to see since she was practically curled up. "I.. doubt that..." She said in response to the brother thing. Even if family had some hatred for each other they were still family, and still cared somewhat. She knew that from seeing others interact that way. The first time she saw it was between two younger kids when she was on a shopping trip with.... him... "Thanks.." She said in response to him saying he was a friend. Friend... She didn't really know what to do with those..

Edward nodded, not saying anything else. There wasn't really much left to say. He sat there in silence, nodding off. The lack of sleep was finally catching up to him, and he may end up falling asleep on Rose, which is something he doesn't normally do. His head drooped for a minute and he jerked it back up, trying to stay awake. Looking at Rose, she was about to fall asleep as well.
