Your stage is a very familiar one.
Even though you're on the island, the mirage seems to have transformed the area into
the exact replica of the entrance of the school. The fountain, the old stairs, the smooth stone pavement;
it all feels the same to you.
There's even a crowd gathered around ... at a distance. And they're very real. Former contestants in the tournament,
teachers, and curious students here to cheer you on!

Both of you may post once to ready yourselves before the fight begins.

PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 1:04 pm

The final fight, here she was again...In the same area too. Weird, but alright. Her eyes drifted toward the crowd in the distance, a soft smile appearing on her face until it disappeared the moment she looked at her opponent. Her friend...She liked Magic, he was pretty cool to hang around, but she hopped he wasn't expecting mercy from her. She was here to win this fight this time, and wasn't going to go easy.

She bounced on her heels as she waited for the bell to ring to inform them that it was time for the final fight. She was ready for a good fight - she had heard about the fight that Magic had against her roommate - straight from Leo's mouth in fact. Mainly because she had bothered him about it because she wanted to know all the details. The way the battle had ended reminded her of her first fight in this year's tournament - them calling it off because they had felt it had carried on to long and was getting nowhere with no end in sight. Not like she was expecting that to happen in this fight - she was aiming to beat Magic.

She brushed a lock of her black hair from her face, her blue eyes glimmering as she stared at Magic. "Hey!" she called across as a smile tugged on the corner of her mouth. "Let's give them a fight that they won't be soon forgetting! This is going to be my last one, so I planning to give it my all - and I want you to do the same, Magic!" With that out of the way and spoken, she got herself ready to leap into action and transform when it was time. She let her mind be open to whatever form her body wanted - if it be an old one or a new one. She was planning to win.

PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 1:31 pm

Magic frowned when he saw Hosa across the way. Of course he had to fight one of the most experienced students in the whole school. And here he was with only a few months of official training behind him. But he was good at fights in general. It was easy for him to predict what his opponent was going to do. But he never fought a person who could be an animal at the same time.

A sigh escaped the boy. Maybe he should let his old mind set take over. It would probably be for the best in this battle. That way he wouldn't hold back if he got concerned or something. Magic closed his eyes for a moment, changing his mind set, getting rid of the nice personality he usually held up.

A smile soon replaced his frown. This was the part of him the enjoyed fight. This was the part of him that he tried to hide from everyone. The part of him he didn't want anyone to see. Vincent probably expected to see Mason's oldself in this fight, and he was right. A small laugh escaped Magic. "Hehe.. Of course~" He said in a tone that sounded a bit different from his usual one.

PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 2:18 pm

A worried frown appeared on Hosa's face for a second when Magic spoke up, his tone different than it normally was...She wanted to say something, but then the bell rang. It was time for them to fight.

Pushing her worry to the side, she quickly let her mind drift off to let herself transform, and ignoring the small flash of pain, she was soon in a new form. Her hooves clopped on the ground as she shook her head, unfurling the two large white wings at her side before folding them once more. Her blue eyes sparkled as she glanced down her horse-body, it being rather easy to name - the wings easily gave it away.

Now a peagsus, her eyes flickered back to Magic as she suddenly burst forward in a gallop, her head down to make it look like she was going to charge at him but shortly before she reached him, her wings suddenly spread out as she suddenly jumped slightly into the air - turning her charge into more of a tackle as her hooves outstretched in an attempt to nail him in the chest with them.

Mason rolled his eyes at the attack. Honestly it was easy to see it coming. Even if she changed what she was doing it would be easy to deflect. Mason let out a yell with enough force to push the large animal back. A horse with wings open wide would be a lot easier to move then a giant almost 7 foot wolf. Magic could attack from any angles, will Hosa had to get close to attack her opponent. A small smirk appeared on his face. He liked these odds at the moment.

The sudden push back surprised her, but she easily landed on her hooves as she shook her head with a soft neigh, her wings folding at her side. He didn't even try to move or attack, causing her to narrow her eyes. Was he just going to play around a bit or fight? She stomped her hoof as she paced slightly to the left, trying to figure out what to do. He could just push her back every time, but while she was planning to change forms if things got stale, she didn't want to do it yet. So, she huffed as she raced forward again. This time however, she didn't open up her wings. Doing so would make it easier for him to push her back, she was just going to plain-up charge this time.

Again really? Hosa wasn't being very creative with her attacks. Instead of pushing her away this time. Mason waited for when she was closer, then moved away in an instant by using his power to propel himself away. Well he basically rode a sound wave around around Hosa, and got a good distance behind her. Once he was there he released sound waves with a destructive force. All he had to do was stay away from Hosa.

Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 7:32 pm

She came to a stop as Magic suddenly flew around her, blinking in surprise as she glanced over her shoulder. Dammit, he wasn't going to let her hit him, was she? He came to a stop as she started to turn to face him. However, she soon was met with a strong wave of sound. She let out a gasp as she was suddenly thrown backwards, barely manning to land on her hooves this time as she stumbled slightly as sharp pain flashed though her body from the blow. She shook her head as she flickered her wings, before huffing. Fine, this form was proving useless. Let's see what else her body was willing to let her take. So, she closed her eyes and let her body shift forms once again.

When her eyes flickered open again, her body was far different from her pegasus one. She was a lion - or at least most of one. Next to her head was a second one - this one of a goat - while her tail was a snake - the head at the tip of it. Three heads that felt weird to Hosa as she struggled to pull herself together quickly. Her main head was that of the lion and could only see out of that one, but she had basic control of the other heads as she stared down Magic. A chimera, huh? It was a strange form and not one that Hosa was expecting but...It would do.

With a roar - followed by a bleat from her goat head - she charged forward, her claws unsheathe. She had a feeling that Magic was going to move out of the way, causing her to growl softly as she darted across the school clearing. Coward, she wanted to hiss. This was suppose to be a memorable fight for the ages - and all he was doing was running. She wished that her forms was more for distance, but she would have to get close range...If Magic would even allow it.

PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 7:57 pm

Mason didn't really care for making it memorable. Nor did he care for letting Hosa get close. He didn't have a death wish. He was playing to his advantages. No one said it had to be fair. Honestly he didn't care for making it fair. Mason watched with a bored expression on his face as Hosa changed forms again. It didn't amaze him like it had the first day he met her. It would have amazed him if he had been in his caring for people mind set, but he wasn't. He was in his destroying my opponent is fun mind set, or something of the sort. There was gonna be no mercy from him at all.

Hosa went to attack again, and once again it was the same thing. A sigh escaped sound man. It was all the same except this time she had claws. And he just moved out of the way once, he wasn't running all the time. That battle had just begun. She was defiantly making it memorable by doing the same thing. Time to do something interesting. Mason opened his mouth, and emitted 19 hertz sound, only loud enough to effect Hosa's sight.

Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 8:12 pm

Her pace didn't even slow down as her sight started to dim, making it hard to see. It didn't really matter to her thought, she knew where he was and that was enough. Her other heads didn't exactly like it though, her goat head bleating again before she hissed at it to shut it up. She was able to tell that Magic hadn't moved yet, which was good as she got close to him. Only there was something about chimeras Hosa remembered that caused her to break into a devilish grin. Chimeras could breath fire.

As she lunged at him to slash with her claws, her mouth opened up as fires started to dance in her mouth before she breathed a billow of the bright flames at him. She didn't need her sight at the moment as she had known exactly where he was, and she had to hope that her attacks hit. She might of wanted this fight to be a great one, but she also wanted to end this quickly. She doubted it would however, but every hit she got would bring it closer to ending. Besides, if things got to crazy...She could always try going dragon...

The simple thought sent a shiver down her spine - it had been a year ago in this same illusion that she had taken that form for the first time and lost control. She had never taken that form since, but she hoped that she would do better. Besides, she was going to get training for it soon, she might as well try to get practice in when she could. But alas, that would be a last-resort thing. She supposed however, that the rules never said you had to fight fair.

Magic closed his mouth and backed up slightly the edge of Hosa's claws catching his arm. It drip blood a bit, though he didn't exactly try to avoid her next attack either. Mason opened his mouth and let a deep bass sound, dispelling any fire that got near him. Sound could put out fire. It was easy to remember after messing around with candles for a while. Mason took the chance that he was near Hosa, and let out another sound after stopping with the fire. This time being in close range it would cause more damage than the other time. After releasing the sound wave he allowed it to push him back so that way he could get away from Hosa.

PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyMon Jun 29, 2015 9:18 pm

Her eyes widen she when saw that he had put out her flame breath, before being blown backwards by the new wave of sound. Her landing was far from perfect as they had been in her pegasus form. She hit the ground on her back - luckily landing in a patch of grass - her whole body in pain as she rolled back onto her feet as her tail hissed and the goat head let out another bleat. What was she to do? She could barely get close, and she hadn't even drawn a lot of blood with that attack. At least her eye sight was returning to normal - she had that going for her she supposed...It was still a little blurry thought.

Her forms were limiting her and so was Magic. Charging up was the only thing she had, but he could simply dodge out of the way or blow her back. And it seemed that her ability to breath fire was now rendered useless...So what was she to do? She wanted to stamp her foot, wishing that her ability allowed range but she was skilled for close range combat. This was far from the exciting battle she had image herself having with Magic. It wasn't even like she was fighting the same person! At least last year in the final round, her and Regina had been close enough for them both to do damage to each other. She had a feeling that if her body wasn't shifting into the mythical but real forms they were, this wouldn't be a very good match for her at all.

Going into her dragon form - or at least trying - was still on the table to use but Hosa felt herself still uneasy with that thought. Losing control was something that could happen, even with all of the training Hosa had tried to do in mastering that part without turning into a dragon form. At least the headmaster had offered her a special training in hopes of mastering that form but...She was still confused on what that even detailed. But here she was, going off topic. She had a fight she had to focus on, not what was going to happen in the future.

Her snake-tail lashed as she scanned the entrance, wondering what she could do. The area was far from clear, with the main fountain, the benches on the sidewalk, and the trees. She could always try to back him into a corner, but she was afraid of what he could use with his sound ability. Even being at Beata for a few months, it seemed he had pretty good control over it. For all she knew, he could somehow mange to make a tree fall on her.

She wished that she could make a loud noise, she recalled him complaining the first time they met that it improved his hearing so a loud sharp noise would mess with him but...She was just a chimera - a lion/goat/snake thing that could breath fire. And yet she felt helpless as she struggled to come up with a plan of attack. Her blue eyes flickered around the clearing in a searching motion, looking for anything that could help her. She was stuck - she couldn't get close and if she couldn't get close...She was useless. This wouldn't be a grand fight if she couldn't figure out what to do - this wouldn't be a fight at all.

Here she was, runner up of the last year tournament struggling to even put up a fight in the final round. Her claws dug into the ground, her whole body shaking as she stared across the entrance of Beata at Magic. Helpless...She had always felt helpless before coming to Beata. Bullied for most of her years at school - it only got worse when she learned of her gift and she had never bothered to use it to protect herself...After all, she had no idea what she was back then. Even coming to Beata she was a bit shy - unsure of herself thought she had quickly put on a mask of strength to protect herself...

And now she was one of the most strongest students at Beata, a favorite of the teachers although she was sometimes referred to as a teacher's pet. Her personality was no longer just a mask, it felt like a real part of who she was as she grew more sure of herself and her place. She was even going to become a Guardian - to protect her fellow students and this safe haven...But she just felt helpless and useless. And she didn't like that one bit. Her eyes narrowed as she let out a deep growl, shaking her head before she pushed off and started to race forward. She wasn't going to let Magic stop her - she was going to prove that she was the strongest one here and that she wasn't that same girl that had arrived at Beata almost two years ago. She had improved greatly, and she was going to show it here.

Flames built up in her mouth as she dashed across the school ground once more, growing hotter and hotter as she grew closer - planning to unleash a torrent on Magic. She had been hesitant to change forms in her last few battles, but now? Now she was going to change forms if she felt it was needed. She was a shapeshifter after all - she might as well not limit herself in this battle. She was going to give it her all - no matter what it would be. As she drew closer to Magic, she leaped into the air as she breathed out her new billow of flame before diving after it with her claws ready to slash him and her fangs ready to dig into him. The real question was if he would have time to remove both the fire and knock her out of the way, or was he simply going to dodge?

Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyTue Jun 30, 2015 10:34 am

It didn't put out all of the fire, just enough for him to get an attack in and get away at the same time. Mason watched the animal thing tumble backwards in the grass, while he didn't exactly land perfectly either. When he tried to land on his feet his ankle gave out from underneath him causing him to stumble slightly.

Due to the stumble he wasn't able to prepare for Hosa's retaliation. Magic was able to back up a bit to avoid being hit by Hosa, but didn't manage to avoid the fire. Magic freaked out in the fire, and jumped backwards his clothing and skin charred a little. Mason patted out the fire, ignoring the pain from the burns on his arms. His clothing managed to save other parts of his body. He had a burn on his cheek as well but it wasn't as bad as the burns on his arms because his head was able to get out of the fire first.

Mason backed up some more getting away from Hosa heavy breathes escaping him. He couldn't do much. He would only resort to creating sound himself when he voice started to fail on him. Mason was good at using his power because he basically uses it all the time. His power improves his hearing. Not to mention he would use it when he was younger but never really had a clue that it was his gift. His power liked to act on it's own. It seemed to react with his emotions.

Mason was forced to come to Beata, because his mother didn't want him anymore. There was no family he could have gone too. He wanted to prove his mother wrong that he wasn't a monster that she said he would always be. Thats why he acted the way he did when he came to beata. To resist the monster inside of him.  Here he was being the exact monster his mother saw. Anger flared up inside of him, and a smile crept it's way back onto his face. The dark-haired boy gave Hosa a bit of a creepy look, before opening his mouth and letting out a high pitched sound wave to attack his opponent.

Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein   Round 4: Hosa Corvina vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein EmptyTue Jun 30, 2015 10:54 am

Hosa watched as Magic backed up from her blow, landing on her paws as she watched him with careful eyes. She wished she could of known what was going though his mind at the moment as he back up with heavy pants. Her snake-head hissed softly as her goat-head bleated once more, causing her to let out another growl. She really wished she had control of them, but she had a feeling with her power on the fritz like it was held some of the problem if she could ever get control of them. But the extra it wasn't a burden. Her body had already adapted to the form so while it felt strangely weird to have the other heads, she would survive.

Her mind drifted back to Mason. It felt strange to refer to him as this, but she had a feeling that she wasn't fighting the Magic she knew - she was fighting the Mason that Vincent had talked about when he had first arrived. The violent side of the past that she had been unaware of. So in an attempt to mark a clear difference in her head of the two, she had decided to refer to him simply as Mason. The fact however that she was fighting Mason was disappointing to her. When she had asked for a battle they would never forget, this wasn't it. She had wanted the fight to be against Magic...But it seemed that was out of the way.

However, this fact only strengthen her resolve to win. She didn't want Mason to win - she might not have minded if Magic could but...But not this side of him. She had hoped for a good fight between friends, now it was a fight between strangers. She became aware of anger flashing in his eyes for a second as a smile appeared on his face along with a creepy look. The moment he opened up his mouth, Hosa frowned.

Well, crap.

Another sound wave overran her, causing her to skid back on the ground as pain flashed though her body as the sound struck her. Her goat-head bleated again in pain, as her tail lashed as she dug her claws into the ground to stop herself from going backwards. When it ended, she shook her body as she stumbled forward a few steps before her eyes locked onto Mason. A soft growl rose in her throat as she tried to figure out what to do. She thought about trying to run around Mason and attack from a different angel, but what would that do? There wasn't much cover for that, and he could easily just follow her movement. She didn't want to charge again - it was getting stale but it seemed like her only option with the choices she had.

So, taking a few seconds to collect herself once more, she darted forward as flames built into her mouth again. Her eyes remained on Mason as the flames danced around her mouth as she got ready to breath them out and shortly before she hit him, she unleashed it once more but this time toward his feet. Then she kept charging forward, bracing with her shoulder in hopes of ramming him to the ground or just to cause pain.
