One Good Thing [306]

Well he was thankful for the fact that he hadn't settled down too much in the initiate dorms. While he remembered the school had a house system, he had almost forgot about it when it came time to take his placement. It was an interesting little thing, but the questions were pretty basic. At least in his opinion. It didn't really capture the personality to well, but at the same time it did.

Finn stood at the door to his new dorm, flower pot with tree in one of his hands, while the other held on to his suit case, and a little bag attached holding two more smaller trees. His hand left his suitcase, and grabbed the key from his pocket and unlocked the door to let himself inside.

Once inside he let go of his belongs once again to touch the plant gently relieving himself of the building energy, and breathing a sigh of relief that it was generally safe again, at least for a few minutes. His red eyes flicked around the dorm, it didn't seem like anyone was out in the common area. Though he couldn't help but wonder if anyone else was here. "Hello? Is anyone here?" He called into the silent dorm. If no one was here, he would be fine with that. He would be able to unpack in peace.

Sam was shifting things around in their room for...Well, truth be told they had lost track. It was just something to do so they did it - moving objects from one corner of the room to the next until Sam was pleased for now but certain that they would make adjustments later. They were in the middle of making their bed when they heard the sound of a door. They paused, certain that it was Erik until a voice - muffled from the wall between them - came from the common room.

Their eyes widen as they straighten up, a startled but happy gasp leaving their lips as they darted to the door and opened it up as they peered into the common room. "Finn!" Sam's eyes lit up as their mouth was quickly pulled into a smile at the sight of their friend...Well, if Finn was their friend was still up in the air but they had gotten along well enough so why not. "What are you doing here?" they questioned happily as they stepped from their room, taking a moment to lean on their dorm frame as they beamed at Finn. They were certain they knew the answer but hey, it wouldn't hurt to get confirmation from Finn himself.

Finn turned to the source of the shout his name, his face instantly lighting up, and a smile etched his features. "Sam!" He said in returned only deeming it fit to do so. "I'm actually moving in. I just got assigned here after the placement test." He said, though he was pretty sure the suitcase spoke for him, and why he was here.

He looked around at the sort of empty room. "Is there anyone else here?" He asked. He was pretty sure he heard something about two others living here, but he wasn't too sure on that information. He was zoning out at the time it was spoken.
