Kaitlyn sat on the floor in the lounge, her back leaned up against the couch with her brown hair let down and flowing off her shoulders and down her back, her smartphone in her hand. She was scrolling through pictures from her home back in New York, as well her old house back in Texas. Her family had moved to New York a month or two before her switch to Beata Academy, so she was frequently getting new pictures from her family.
Her powers had come in slowly, so slowly that she barely even noticed in the beginning, although later on, she began to notice as her powers got somewhat stronger, although they were still extremely weak. She had little to no control over them, but that was going to change in the coming years. As her eyes began to tear up from seeing her old friends at her old school, she wiped her eyes with her hoodie sleeve every so often. She was so stuck in her memories that she barely even noticed someone opening the door.
