Hiding away

Wren nodded, with wide eyes. "Oh wow, thats... rather pequliar." The girl mumbled stepping back. Holding tightly to the straps of her bookbag, she shifted her weight from her toes to the balls of her feet. "What was it like? Did you have friends there? Girlfriends?" She said the last one with a slight laugh and studdied his face for an answer.

Montare sighed slighty. His clanmates had friends and probably girlfriends and boyfriends. However, he didn't, except for one or two friends he managed to make from days his mother couldn't borrow textbooks, and he would go to the clan school. "One or two friends, no girlfriend. Unlike everyone else I was seen as a prophet and only got trained and was taught separately." he said, giving some insight to his life before he came to Beata.

Wren nodded, inwardly confused about this wolf pack thing. "Oh, I'm sorry about that." Wren said. "A prophet? That's very... intense." She said with wide eyes and a slight smile. She had no clue the meaning of what he was saying about being a prophet. She didn't think you would inherit a wolf pack, but then again she didn't even know there was such thing as a wolf pack. But judging by the way he squirmed at her questions, it made sense to her when he said he was pretty much homeschooled. Nothing against homeschoolers, but they always seemed a little socially awkward to her.

Meanwhile, a few rows away from where the two were sitting, Oliver was sifting through books. He did not admit it, but he was an avid reader, commonly going through books to appease his boredom. It had caused him to go to the library a lot, and so here he was, browsing the fiction section at his leisure. Though, he heard the British accent from afar, and recognized it immediately.
"Wren?" whispered Oliver under his breath. What was she doing here?
Oliver peeked over the rows and saw her talking to a boy. He looked rather familiar. Where had he seen him before...?

Suddenly, Oliver froze. I-it was that guy who sexually assaulted that other girl! Well, not really, but she claimed he was going to. Oliver narrowed his eyes, wondering what Wren was doing with this boy. He didn't want to barge in and get himself in trouble when he had done nothing wrong, but rather stood there and listened, concealed and pretending to scavenge for novels.

Montare noticed the boy in the backround, but could not tell who it was, and ignored him. "Yes, it wasn't easy. But being seen as a prophet as its rewards." he said to Wren. The most recent aid he got from his clan was a grip and a carving tool for his dagger. Other than that, however, he had not gotten any help since being at Beata. Montare kept looking back at the boy, whose face wasn't visible. He felt familiar...

Not trying to be rude, but in all honesty, Wren was quickly loosing interest in the topic of Montare being a prophet. Sure it was cool that he was so special, but Wren needed more details about his real personal life. Sure it was nosey, but her reporter senses were tingling and she wanted the really juicy stuff. 'I bet, that sounds lovely!" The girl cooed in convensing sincere voice, even though it was somewhat forced due to the girl loosing interest.
Being really good with people, Wren noticed that he kept looking over her shoulder in a sketchy way. A posible enemy? Hmmm. "Are you okay there mate? You're a little... jumpy. Are you hiding here from someone- something? " The girl's eyes narrowed, but she gave him a warm smile and rested a small hand on his shoulder in an attempt to make him more comfortable and open up to her. Wren had that friendliness about her that, though she was basically pushing him to open up, it just came off as caring and sincerity.

She was...interviewing him?
Oliver heard about a blonde girl going around getting stories and various other things for the school's new newspaper, but he didn't know it was Wren. Nevertheless, at least he knew it was a random encounter, and not like they were friends or anything.

Nevertheless, Oliver had reason to believe this boy was dangerous, and stuck around in case he tried to advance on his good friend. He picked a book that looked nice and leaned against one of the shelves, flipping through the pages and pretending he was reading. What he was really doing was listening, and carefully too. The two weren't exactly as close as they could be, but it was a library and conversations traveled far. Hopefully they would not realize this and start to whisper...

Montare suddenly felt comforted when Wren rested her hand on his shoulder. "No, I just thought I saw something." he answered, managing to keep his lie from being obvious for once. "Is there anything else you want to know?" he asked Wren, taking his attention off of the boy. He could deal with him later.

Wren grinned at him, but kept her hand there. It seems like the closeness opened the boy up and Wren wanted answers. "Oh really? That's... strange!" The blonde said with a giggle. "Of course, the list goes on and on!" She piped up, pulling out her notepad again and flipping through there until she found the list she wanted. Biting her lip and trying to decide which was the best question to ask. "Do you have any crushes here? Any special ladies?" She asked, waggling her eyebrows at him. "Or are you for the other team? Do you.. like boys?"
Unaware of the other presence her voice was slightly louder than before and Wren had gotten closer. Her gaze remained soft and her smile still lingered, but there was something different about the air now. Almost... nosey...

Montare began to blush slightly again. He thought about how he would answer until he heard her suggest he might be gay. "N-no! Of course not!" he blurted out in response. He didn't mean to be rude, but someone thinking that...this caused him to think back to the conservatory, where Alicia made it appear as though she wasn't straight. He shook the thought away. "Uhm...sorry." he apologized to Wren for his outburst.

With wide eyes the girl shook her head in a sincere apology. "I'm sorry I-" Wren mumbled quietly, taking a step back. She quickly wrote down his answer in a slightly shaking hand. "Don't worry, just a touchy subject." She said quietly. "I took that too far..." She mumbled, flipping the paper she had been writing on over and quickly deciding to change the subject by asking a new question. "How are you liking classes?"
