Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyMon Jul 20, 2015 8:41 pm

It had been three days since they had arrived in Alaska and a heavy fog had fallen over the campsite. It had rolled in overnight and now made it hard to see anything past a few feet ahead - even the top of the trees were barely able to be seen, making it hard to know the time or if rain were to come at any moment. But rain had yet to fall, which was good as the steady glow of the campfire was one of the few things to show itself though the thick fog as Brant watched over it.

He sat in the snow, a stick in his hand that he would use to poke the fire if it started to dim to keep it alive. The edge of the stick was black from all the times it caught on fire, but he would simply put it out by ducking it into the snow next to him causing there to be small holes where the stick had been placed when it had caught aflame. His green eyes flickered in the light of the campfire, however it was growing smaller as it ate away at the fuel of sticks and logs. Their supply of them was running short and somebody would need to go gather more.

His eyes flickered around - not wanting to leave the fire lest it goes out - and was able to make out the shape of Devin sitting a distance in the snow, his head down as he did...Something. Brant couldn’t make it out, but it looked like he was drawing something in the snow. It was something to pass the time he supposed, but he had a new mission for him. “Devin!” he called out, getting the boy’s attention. “Can you come here for a second?”

Devin had indeed been drawing in the snow, hugging his legs which were against his chest with one arm as he drew with the other. It wasn’t a great picture - he could only draw stick figures - but when a Brant’s voice spoke up he jumped and accidentally drew a line across his snow drawing. A soft sigh escaped him as he pulled up his hand to look at his ruined drawing of himself and his sister before he pulled his hand over it to even out the snow and disappear all traces of it before he stood up and made his way over to Brant.

“What is it, Brant?” he asked with a soft shiver, wishing he had brought a thicker coat. He had expected it to be cold...Just not this cold. Like, why did being this cold even exist? At least it was warmer by the campfire. Having a firebreather was really handy with the whole campfire thing. They had only gotten a single piece of flint anyways, so not having to rely on that was great.

Brant frowned, seeing Devin shiver but motioned toward the wilting campfire next to him. “We are running out of wood to burn, and I was wondering if you could go into the woods and try to collect some wood for me,” their green eyes locked on each other as he gave Devin a soft smile. “It would be super helpful if you did.”

Devin raised an eyebrow, wondering why Brant couldn’t do it himself but he guessed that he need to stay to keep the campfire going...Not like it would be hard to make a new one if it did but it would a burden so he sighed but nodded. “S-Sure,” he said, before frowning as he shivered once more. “But I mean, I can barely see ahead of me with all this fog. Wh-What if there is something in the woods?”

“I don’t think there is anything that big- Heita hadn’t reported seeing anything at least,” Brant said as he leaned over, away from Devin as he grabbed the hatchet not far from him before he handed it to the younger boy next to him. “Try to cut some branches down from the trees - the snow wouldn’t have gotten those wet so they will be easier to burn.”

Taking the hatchet from him, Devin nodded as he sighed as he turned and headed through the fog and into the woods. His hatchet hung at his side as he ran his free hand across the bark of a tree as he pasted, his eyes flickering around as the wood closed in on him, being sure to pay attention to where he was going. He didn’t want to get lost and have trouble getting back - mostly with all of this fog as it would just make remember where he went hard..

Every once in a while he would pause next to a tree and swing the hatchet, breaking some branches away before collecting them. It was a boring job as he cut down the branches, but he did it and soon had a nice little collecting. As he gathered up the last of the branches before he planned to get back, a sudden scent caused him to freeze. It was...It was like blood. A nasty metallic smell filled the air around him, so strong it caused him to gag before he resorted to breathing through his mouth in hopes of not breathing the scent in - not like it helped all that much.

His eyes flickered as he glanced around before turned to see a shape coming from the fog behind him - moving through the trees almost silently. In fact, everything had went quiet. He had always had birds chirping through the fog as he had been collecting the branches for Brant, but now there was nothing - they had all fallen silent or had left he guessed. But the figure soon became recognised even with the thick fog and for a brief second, a smile appeared on Devin’s face.

The unruly blonde hair and blue eyes marked it as Leo as he stepped from the fog. “What’s up with the smell? It..” the smile on Devin’s face suddenly disappeared as he blinked, suddenly taking a step back as he let go of his pile of branches, letting them fall silently into the snow. In a second, he raised the hatchet in front of him with both hands, his knuckles turning white from gripping it hard. “Y-You aren’t Leo!” he suddenly whispered in a soft voice, fear flashing in his eyes.

A few things had tipped him off to that suddenly revelation he had; one being the cold almost soulless stare the not-Leo gave him, but the thing that ticked him off to the fact that it wasn’t Leo was the natural (or unnatural) hate they both held toward each other even though they had worked past that. However, it had never fully disappeared. Whenever the two met, Devin always was aware of that feeling of hate even if he never acted on it. But now? The thing that was giving him goosebumps was the fact that it was absent and thus he knew that this...Thing didn’t have a trace of holy energy in it.

But then a single question appeared in Devin’s head  as the color drained from his face. Who the hell was this thing in front of him if it wasn’t Leo? He took a shaky step back, his foggy breath swirling around his face as he narrowed his eyes. “Who...W-Whhat are you!” he hissed, his tail lashing. He wasn’t expecting an answer - why would the thing bother to give him one? But it didn’t take kindly to that question.

The thing in front of him narrowed its eyes slightly, its blue eyes cold as it suddenly took a step forward and lashed its hand forward. As it did so, its body shifted and changed. The appearance it had held of Leo was gone, and instead a monster stood in front of Devin. It...It looked like a goat - at least its head did - the rest of it looked human-ish. Wearing a cloth around its waist, it was pretty much clothless other than that but its hands was more like claws as they slashed toward Devin.

The surprise of the thing changing had caused Devin’s focus to waver and his hatchet to drop slightly leaving him open for the attack. He barely had time to realize it was heading for his face and throw up one of his arms (letting go of the hatchet with that hand) in an attempt to block the attack. Claws ripped down his arm, causing him to let out a sharp scream as he stumbled backwards away from the goat-headed monster. His eyes darted to his arm, where his sleeve had easily been torn open and flesh warm blood dripped down the limp and into the snow below, staining it and the branches crimson. The cold air was already making that part of his skin - and thus the pain - numb but it still hurt like hell.

The creature lurched forward to attack once more, however Devin was ready this time. Gripping the hatchet with both hands once more, he brought it up before slashing down with it, sinking it into the shoulder of the goatman and halting its lunge as it stumbled from the sudden blow. It responded by letting out a shrill scream - unnatural in every way as it echoed through the forest. It pulled back suddenly, tearing the hatchet from its shoulder as Devin held on tightly to it as it dripped with blood from the monster.

Hatred flickered in its eyes as it stared at him, before it darted forward, causing Devin to attempt to hit it in the shoulder again like he had, but this time the monster knew what to expect. It came to a stop shortly into its lunge, one hand grabbing the hatchet from the little part of the handle that Devin wasn’t gripping. Now with Devin’s only weapon in hand, it’s eyes glimmered in the fog as it slashed forward with its free claw straight toward Devin’s chest which was unprotected due to the boy still gripping the hatchet.

Blood splattered the snow below, a sharp cry left Devin’s mouth and rang in the foggy air around him. Stumbling backwards, his hands let go of the hatchet and flew toward his bleeding chest. Blood dripped from the creature’s hand as it danced away, throwing the hatchet to the side as it made a strange noise - gibberish to Devin’s ears as he fell to his knees as pain burned through his body. Blood welled around his hands as he pressed them against his chest, gritting his teeth from the pain but also attempting to stop the tears that threatened to fall down his face. He started to whisper soft prayers under his breath, begging for this creature to disappear. He rocked backwards and landed into the snow before as he started to skitter backwards in an attempt to get away.

However, he soon found his back against a tree trunk as his eyes flickered up fearfully as he whimpered at the creature that loomed above him, its black beady eyes glinting as it reached down toward Devin with its blood soaked hand and gripped him around the neck. It lifted the boy into the air so that his feet weren’t even touching the ground as Devin’s hands left his bleeding chest to grap the creature’s hand in an attempted to pry it off. But it was useless as the creature pinned him against the tree, making more of that strange gibberish noise as Devin let out a weak cry of fear. “G-Go away!” he sobbed, fear welling up in him. “I-I don’t want to..!”

His voice suddenly cut off as pain flashed in his right hand as it gripped the goatman, his eyes darting to that hand to see darkness suddenly spreading across his hand and up his arm. When the darkness ran across his body, it gave him a painful jolt - much like that pain of you moving your arm or leg when it was waking up after falling asleep. But once the darkness past over it went completely numb, causing that hand to slip from the creature's arm.

The goatman let out another gibberish noise at seeing the suddenly darkness that was already covering up most of Devin’s right arm, losing his grip on the boy in shock and surprise. Devin wasted no time, even though his chest and arm hurt from the cut and lost of blood he was taking, he craned his neck slightly painfully and brought his fangs down on the monster’s wrist, filling his mouth full of the taste of blood as the creature screamed once more as it dropped Devin into the snow below as it moved away from him.

The darkness kept spreading across him as he attempted to spit the blood from his mouth, his arm now hanging limply at his side as he attempted to scoot up into a better sitting position then how he had been dropped unceremoniously into the snow. His eyes were filled with fear as the darkness quickly overtook his body, sending it all into a numb state before the darkness covered his eyes, and soon his whole body was wrapped in the darkness. Then, it started to change.

The darkness shifted and grew - expanding his body as his limbs grew until he was near the size of an adult human (his horns and tail still there but taller and thicker) before it started to retreat. It was almost impossible to see but the layer of darkness starting at different points such as shapes that were his horns, tail, hands and feet and started to move up (or down) his body toward his back, revealing something else beneath it all. Where Devin’s feet once where, they were hooves. His hands were now claws. Once the darkness revealed the pure black skin beneath - only to have his horns, claws, and hooves to have a green hue to them all - it stopped being as numb and his claws clenched into fists.

When the darkness left his face and thus freeing it, his eyes flickered open to reveal them as glowing green which sent an eerie glow across his face. Then, when the darkness were only on his chest, he pushed himself up until he was standing before he took a step forward the goat-headed man. The darkness, when reaching his back started to spread out into the air to create wings. Once the darkness was all there, it took on a solid form, the tip of his wings taking on the green hue his claws and hooves had.

Devin had taken on his demon form.

The faint sound of something soft and wet hitting the snow caused Devin to glanced down at his feet, only to see bright red blood dripping down his pure black chest and arm - having not healed between his forms. But he pushed that away, not caring for that as his eyes flickered up toward the monster ahead of him. His mouth turned into a snarl, revealing sharp white teeth that stood out against his pitch-black skin as he darted forward and slashed at the monster as his large bat-like wings unfurled.

The creature attempted to dart backwards but Devin’s claws caught its already hurt shoulder causing it to cry out again with that unnatural sound before its eyes locked onto Devin’s glowing ones. "̟̣̬ͤ̌G̸̖͓̣̟͗-̭̣̱̌ͣͥ̚G̴̘͖ͨ͊̒̅ͮͤo̍ͪ̓ ͔̺͈̐͛͜a̗̠͗̾̑̏̔͌̚͢w̝̕a̝̰͓̘͍͉͟y̘̯ͯͮ!̞̙͙̩ͮͮͅ"̋ the creature barked in a raspy voice - copying what Devin had said early - not human sounding in the slightest as it took a few steps backwards before it spun and darted into the woods and into the fog, quickly disappearing from sight. Devin thought about chasing after it, but with a soft snarl decided that it was pointless as soon the strange bloody metallic scent that had been in the clearing the whole time had suddenly just...Disappeared like it had never been in the air at the first place. The creature was already gone. The only part of the smell that lingered was from Devin’s own blood that still raced down his chest and arm, turning the snow below him a crimson red.

His eyes darted to the side to see the bloodied hatchet lying the snow, but he made no move to get it - not even to get the branches that laid all around his feet. Why would he? They meant nothing to him... His mind wasn’t even focused on how cold he was, he just stood there, blood dripping down his body and into the snow below, he just stared at the hatchet with a soft almost invisible frown.  He craved to cause destruction, pain...He was a demon, causing misery was what he was suppose to do but something held him back; kept him rooted in the spot.

Was it the fact that he was growing weak from the lost of blood? He didn’t care enough to really take note of it, but he still knew it was happening. Or was it the fact that the something about the hatchet bothered him. It was a small feeling of importance toward the hatchet. And somehow, that small feeling made him unwilling to move. He wavered slightly with the amount of blood gathering under his feet, but he didn’t take a step from where he stood in the foggy small clearing. Why did he care about the bloodied weapon?

Edit/Occ: Forgot Devin's demon form ref.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyTue Jul 21, 2015 9:19 pm

The angel had been at a near by creek that they had found their first few days there. It couldn't be called a river, yet couldn't be called a stream. He was about to touch the water when the familiar anger appeared at the back of his mind. Assuming it was Devin approaching, he ignored it for a time before stopping. His narrow eyes opening wide in shock. The hatred had suddenly increased. So much that it caused Leo to stagger as he stood up. His chest hurt with this amount of anger that he felt. What was happening?

Whatever thought he had a moment later disappeared. Anger, hatred, all the things that Leo normally never had in him appeared in a tidal wave. While his mind was in shock, his body was not. It moved without thinking, his wings appearing in a glow of white, and took off into the foggy forest, narrowly missing a dozen trees. His feet touched the ground in front of a black and green creature. The source of the hatred. The angel didn't like feeling this way. The source had to be eliminated.

Any shred of his Radiance of Heart, was locked away, taken captive by his natural anger towards this being. Here stood a dangerous Leo. A Leo with no morals. Blue eyes were dark, there was no light in them. It was as if any light that was usually in his eyes, were in his hands, which were formed into fists. The soft glow of Holy Energy was the light from his eyes. In a flash, the angel sent a barrage of fists toward the demon, taking the first attack between them.

A soft growl escaped Devin as he stood in the foggy clearing, becoming aware of a sudden feeling of hate that started to rise in him like a tide. His glowing eyes narrowed, burning with the anger as he turned his gaze toward where the source was coming from, his wings shifting at his side. Then Leo stepped out of the woods - the real Leo. But Devin only saw him as an angel - an enemy to a demon like him - not as a friend. But yet he didn't move. His eyes narrowed farther as he snarled at the angel, but something held him back - keeping him from attacking his foe even thought he wanted to destroy him.

But it all disappeared when Leo attacked. His eyes met the slightly glowing eyes of his angelic counterpart with a small flash of surprise but it was quickly covered with rage and pain as the fits met his chest - having no time to dodge as his body was slow to react from the blood lost. He stumbled backwards as he let out a small howl of pain, his black body glowing a soft yellow where Leo's fists met him. He raised a hand to break of the barrage of fists - to throw Leo off before he slashed forward with his already bloodied hand - from when he had slashed the goat-headed creature - but like his attempt to dodge, it was slow. He was able to put little force behind it, his body numb from the cold weather but still the flame of rage burned inside him and it was the only thing keeping him moving.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyTue Jul 21, 2015 10:04 pm

A skeletal wolf that Destiny managed to bring up, was patrolling around the camp. There were others of course, but they were on the other side. The wolf heard sounds.. It sounded bad, and due to it's job decided to go investigate. If it found something it would send a message to Destiny warning her of the danger. From there she would warn the others if the danger couldn't be chased away or taken care of by the all powerful skeletal wolf.

Carefully the wolf made it's way closer to the source of the noise. Of course it being on four feet allowed it to move a lot faster in the snow and stuff than Destiny and the others would. Following what it heard, with it's ears perked, the skeletal wolf saw what was going down. It was able to recognize the smell of the two people it was guarding, even though one of them didn't look like he did before hand. Knowing that it could warn it's master of the oncoming danger since the skeleton was just an extension of her, it sent a warning. Or some way to help the two.

Destiny had been sitting, and enjoying the warmth of the fire with her eyes closed. Though she was kind of waiting for on of her wolves to tell her something, though they couldn't exactly talk. Or make a noise for that matter. Her red eyes flung open when she finally got the message one of her wolves was trying to send. Panic grew inside her. "Nicola, we need to go help Devin right now.." Destiny said in a serious tone. Well it more so Nicola that could help, but Destiny knew the way to her wolf though it would take them a bit to get there.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyWed Jul 22, 2015 9:46 pm

Nicola had been quite bored, to be honest. She was stuck in camp, helping to cook dinner or something... Or maybe that was her excuse because she was hungry and nobody was back yet. Hieta had gone to the opposite side of Devin and Leo to patrol the woods for a bit with the undead wolves, to make sure nothing was actually there. Honestly, her brother was so paranoid for her - and the others' - safety that he was being rather edgy. No, really edgy. Even though he had told Brant that there was nothing in the woods, she knew he was lying. What sister didn't know when your sibling wasn't telling the truth? The only reason he probably wouldn't say anything is because he didn't have concrete evidence yet.

Stifling a yawn as she stretched her body a bit, she thought she heard Destiny say something, but ignored it for a bit. Once she heard the words "help" and "Devin" however... Something had definitely happened. Nicola had snapped awake immediately and turned to the white-haired girl, blue eyes into red eyes. With a small frown, she tilted her head to the side, asking, "Eh? What happened?" To be fair, she was feigning innocence.

Nicola had a perfectly good idea about what was happening, only because Hieta had been so... cautious? Overprotective? Wary? One of those words. Something bad had definitely happened. But... the necromancer didn't have to know that a little girl was full aware of how bad the world was. She acted like Hieta's death wasn't a big thing since she could still be with him, but. It wasn't the same. Nor was it something she was actually flippant about.

The blond reacted as fast as he could, receiving a cut on his left shoulder. However at the moment, Leo didn't care about pain, or the wound. He hovered a good five feet away, the blood from the wound seeping into the sweatshirt that he wore. So it could be assumed that it was a rather deep cut. The angel was not satisfied when he landed multiple hits on the demon. It was still there, and he refused to let it roam the forest. With angular eyes narrowed in hatred, Leo surged forward again, fists once again glowing the yellowish hue. The student's fists were unrelenting, although, his left fist was a bit weaker than his right, considering the cut and tear in his muscle at his shoulder. Between the neck and point of his shoulder. If Leo thought in retrospect, it was a miracle that he could actually move his arm after that.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyFri Jul 24, 2015 2:20 pm

As the angel hovered, Devin stumbled away slight with Leo's blood dripping from his hand. A soft snarl escaped him, weak from the dull pain that he could feel. This form was not built for this cold weather, and his whole body felt almost completely numb from it. Of course his wounds had also not closed meaning he was still losing blood. The blood trickling down his arm had slowed though, but his nasty slashes on his chest was still bleeding badly. He could fight for now, but sooner or later the lost of blood was going to be to much for the demon to ignore but that only meant he had to deal with Leo quickly.

When Leo dived in for another attack, Devin barley had time to throw his arms up so they crossed in an attempt to stop the attack. His body glowing a soft yellow once more where the fists stuck him before fading, sending a burning pain throughout his arm. Soon, his defense crumbled as his arms dropped to his side, unable to stand the pain Leo was sending though them. However, as his arms fell his large black wings spread open and he flapped them hard in an attempt to send a wave of air to drive Leo back. He stumbled backwards slightly to try to escape a little farther from the angel, but soon fell to one of his knees as his hands fell forward into the snow to keep him from falling completely. His green eyes flickered up toward Leo as he let out a weak snarl, his wings remaining as open as they could to try to make himself look scarier. He was a demon - he wasn't going to let an angel like this defeat him!

Brant poked at the fire with his stick, a soft frown on his face as he watched the fire slowly eat away at what little fuel it had left. He hadn't mind when Destiny and Nicola had come out to join him by the fire, but he hoped that Devin would return soon. He pulled the stick from the fire, sighing when he saw the tip of it was on fire before ducking in into the snow next to him causing it to go out with a soft hiss. However, his attention was quickly grabbed when Destiny suddenly shouted that Devin needed Nicola's help causing his green eyes to flicker with fear. "What the hell happened, Destiny?" he said in a quick, panicked voice knowing that one of her wolf guards must of reported something... God dammit, he shouldn't have set Devin out for wood on his own...He swore if something happened to the kid he was going to blame himself for it for a good while. And the fact that Nicola was needed... "What's happened to Devin?"

Destiny stood form her spot. "Devin has turned into a demon, and is currently in a fight with angel Leo. By the looks of it Devin already sustained heavy damaged before Leo even got there. One if them is gonna kill the other one if we don't do something about it now." Destiny tightened her clothes around her a little tighter her to prepare for a fast trek through the snow. "Come on they are this way." The necromancer said as she started moving towards the two opposing forces. It would take them a bit to get there but she felt like they could make it in time. She hoped that Nicola would be able to help. She didn't even pay attention to the fact that they were moving in the opposite direction of Hieta. She honestly didn't feel like draining two people of their life-force today. She would have to kill a good many trees to restore it. Thats when she decided to use her life-force manipulation as a last resort.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyFri Jul 24, 2015 5:54 pm

The color in Nicola's skin drained so quickly she was pretty sure she was going to faint.

Now, she might've talked like she really didn't care about how many demons she's killed and stuff, but... she was absolutely terrified. The entire time she had been at Beata and didn't have to deal with them was such a relief, she finally got a breather. And now? This? Nicola wanted to simply say that she probably wasn't needed, anything to avoid this. But Devin was her friend. If this happened all of a sudden and Leo was hurting him on purpose because of conflicting powers, she had to do something, right? Especially if she was the only that could actually fix the problem decently.

Giving a hesitant nod to Destiny, she quickly sprinted with the older girl and when they had finally reached the place... This was terrible. Absolutely terrible. She could've sworn part of the forest was burnt to crisps and decimated from the fight. And more importantly, the demon in front of her. Was it bad that she was reluctant to get close and start taking away the possessive energy? She was frozen on the spot.

Nicola bit her lip, glancing from her two friends in combat and then the other two from camp. Did they expect her to do this alone? Somehow, Nicola wasn't sure she could do it without her brother around... Why the hell was Hieta sent to the other freaking side of the forest?

"N-n-nice demon. I hope," her voice dropped a few volumes and somehow, she saw this situation as somewhat desperate. This was just the amount of energy she needed to revert back to her normal age... But, somehow, this didn't seem as worth it as she had hoped. What if she killed Devin by accident because she took too much?

The angel only gave the three other students a glance, before he was pushed back a distance due to Devin's own wings. Not that he minded at all. Despite the wound on his shoulder, he felt a certain amount of superiority. The dark creature was on the ground, his green eyes glaring up in defiance. Leo knew that the demon wasn't going to beat him. A un-Leo smirk grew on his face as he the white winged person let his feet touch the ground. His grin growing, he started a slow walk toward the grounded opponent. At first glance it seems to be a calm one. But the only hint of aggression was the occasional twitch of his hand.

Brant came up behind Nicola and Destiny, panting slightly for breath but came to a complete stop once he saw the black and green demon. God...That was Devin? It looked kinda like a thing of nightmares! His eyes flickered around the clearing in a quick second, seeing blood-stained snow, sticks, the hatchet laying to the side...Bloodied. What had happened here? How the hell did Devin turn into...Into this! And all cause Brant needed more sticks for the fire...God, what had he done to the poor kid? His eyes flickered back to the almost downed demon as Leo strolled toward him and he swallowed slightly. Damnit, if they didn't do something Leo was going to kill Devin! If that was Devin...He was pretty sure it was...What Destiny had said so far looked true, of course he was still surprised that she had gotten such details from the skeleton do-wolf...

A nice demon Devin wasn't. His tail flickered as he watched the angel stroll toward him, a smug of victory on his face. It made his blood boil, and it was enough to rekindle his angry in pure force. He barely paid any heed to the three newcomers, the fog doing well to shield him from his gaze but he was focused completely on Leo at all. He forced himself to his feet, even thought his body wavered slightly and with a growl he lurched forward to slash the angel - eager to prove that he wasn't going down so easily.

When Brant saw that demon!Devin getting up and going for another attack, he jumped into action before he even realized what he was doing. His feet brushed against the snow as he raced forward straight for Devin, before closing his eyes as he braced for impact. His shoulder nailed the back of of Devin - hitting him at an angel so that the demon stumbled to the side easily under the blow and interrupted his attack. They both hit the snow with a thud, barely missing a tree as Brant pinned Devin down, the demon to weak to try to push him off other than for a soft, weak snarl.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty

Once Destiny saw the two, she didn't really pay Devin any mind. She already knew what he looked like. He looked better than some souls she saw though. So it didn't really startle her. What scared her more was the fact that Leo was going in for another attack. Devin was too weak already! If he managed to land a hit then Devin would be done for. He Barely had any life-force left! The necromancer raced forward, and tackle angel Leo the the ground, releasing a bit of air as they both hit the ground, so that way she wouldn't be gasping for breathe soon afterwards. "Try to get up, and I swear to the God of the dead that I will drain every ounce of Life-force you have." She said to Leo in a serious tone. She wasn't going to allow him to kill Devin. She wasn't going to lose a person on her watch if she could help it.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event]   Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] EmptyFri Jul 24, 2015 8:53 pm

The other two - they were a couple right? - that was suicidal on their part. What were they thinking, charging in like that on the two? It was a demon and angel trying to kill each other! They're going to get ripped to pieces and shredded until the other two settle their fight and there was nothin--- oh. Never mind. She really was the only one who could do anything about this. Nicola couldn't help but grumble out of annoyance, despite how serious everything was. Why did she have to do this? Why couldn't some other person have the power to kill demons properly? Well, there was Leo, but they're mortal enemies, so Devin wasn't likely to survive.

Holding both of her hands out, a soft, red light emitting from the center of her palms, a sword that was clearly twice her side and the color of blood red formed in front of her, and blinking for a bit, Nicola muttered softly to the blade, "Hello old friend. You have a little task to handle." The weapon hardened itself as though in response, and grabbing the handle, she swung it back, a wave of dust and leaves rippling from the force. It was way heavier than she remembered... She hadn't used it ever since she reverted back though because she either summoned enslaved demons or Hieta protected her.

Now... well, time to be able to properly use the sword again. Dragging it over to Brant and where the demon lay, Nicola clasped the sword with both hands, holding it above her head and allowed gravity to do its work. The force quickly drove through the nightmarish creature's arm, the black colored blood dripping from the wound.

With one arm, she wrote out various symbols in the red glow from before, chanting something rather foreign, ancient, under her breath. The oozing liquid began to travel up the blade, sinking into the red color as though it were water defying the laws of physics and traveling upward. Enveloped with a white shine, filling her from her head to toes in cold warmth, Nicola opened her closed eyes and for a brief second, they were blood red until she stepped back.

Drawing the now seemingly lighter blade out, she turned away, unwilling to see what she did. Well, she was back. Back to being the age she should be - fourteen, now? Yeah, she was positive it was fourteen. Oh, there's the cap that she lost. Bringing her hand up to adjust the brim, Nicola spoke up, the voice seemingly raspy either out of not being used or because she didn't recognize it, "Sorry Devin, that was the only way I thought about getting you out of that form." The now 'reborn' teenager gave a careless shrug. "Hope you forgive me for that. It was rather careless. Destiny, mind sustaining him with life or something?"

"I'll try to answer why I stabbed him later... or how my power works. Something along those lines. Hieta's going to kill me..."

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty

Brant rolled off of the downed Devin as Nicola came over toward them - with a rather scary looking blade. He thought about asking where - and why - she had gotten that thing but decided not to ask about it as he stood up. Just in time to see Nicola stab demon!Devin in the arm. The demon let out a suddenly cry/roar of pain, causing Brant to flinch as he watched the blood start to travel up the blade and Nicola seemed to draw strange symbols while changing in a weird language...Goddammit why did he have to be in such a weird group? And then she started to glow white - causing him to shield his eyes until it had disappeared only to find that she was now older - and wearing a hat. Where the hell did that come from? However, as Nicola started to talk, his gaze shifted to where the demon form of Devin laid, as something had started to happen.

Shortly into the 'ritual', Devin had grown silence, the glow of his green eyes dimming as the demonic energy was being drawn from him. However, when the blade was pulled from him, his eyes slowly closed as the tips of his wings started to lose the green hue and turn completely black. It started to lose the solid form it was in and started to sink down and cover his body like it was a liquid - the opposite of how his demonic form had been revealed. It quickly covered his body in pure blackness, before it started to shrink down until he was at his normal size, and the darkness simply started to disappear, revealed Devin normal once more.

Unconscious - not having heard a single word that Nicola had said. His face was pale as he laid in the snow. As he was laying on his stomach, it was almost impossible to see his horrible gashes across his chest, but his arm was still bleeding along with the new wound caused by Nicola as well. His chest rose and fell in a quick but shallow motion as the fire breather crouched down next to him with a sad shake of his head. "God...What happened to him? All I did was send him out for wood..."  he muttered softly, picking up one of the stray pieces of branches - slightly stained in blood - in his hand as he glanced over to where Destiny and Leo were - wondering how the angel would react to finding out he had just fought with Devin.

Demonic Awakening [The Frontier Event] Empty

A grunt escaped the angel like being as Destiny collided with him, his face set in a frown and blue eyes angerly glared back at the girl. Why would she protect a demon? There was nothing good about any demon. What was she up to? At the threat, the angel let any emotion disappear from his face. He could have to push her off then. However, at that moment he heard the cry of the black and greenish demon. Eyes widening, he craned his neck to watch the now teenage girl, drain the power from his opponent. As she did, the hatred slowly went away, leaving the anger to a more controllable state. Along with a dazed Leo, who's head was spinning, and shoulder on fire.

The student blinked slowly in an effort to regain a sense of steadiness. To no avail. What had happened? One moment he was at the brook, the next, he was on the ground, pinned by an angry looking Destiny. "What happened...?" He muttered quietly, pushing her off lightly. As he moved to sit up, a shot of pain laced his arm, and he looked over to observe it, he couldn't quite process how deep it was. With how dizzy he was, Leo couldn't exactly piece it together.

How had this happened? Last thing he remembered was blinding anger. Eyes blinking slowly a few more times, Leo pushed himself up with his food arm, his friend laying face down in the snow, and a small amount of blood staining the white flakes that littered the ground. I seemed to be coming from Devin? How?

In a flash of memory, he remembered.

Oh god. How had his body done that? Was Devin okay? What had gotten over him? Would he be okay? Would he be okay...? Leo begged to himself for his friend to be okay. He didn't know. Everything was a blur. Oh nononono.

He pushed forward to reach his friend, staggering a bit before being able to slowly get closer to him.  He looked extremely hurt. It was all his fault wasn't it? Tears built in his eyes as Leo stared down at his prone body. Almost as pale as the snow around him. Unable to say on his feet, the blond sank to his knees, the tears threatening to spill over. 'I'm sorry. I'm sorryI'msorryI'msorry...' The thought repeatedly played in his mind.  Leo's head bobbed as another wave of dizziness passed him. Like he needed to sleep. However, he couldn't see himself doing something something like sleep in the near future.

He had almost killed one of his friends. It's not something the Autumn could sleep on.
