Waiting........

Montare sat at a table in the cafe and hoped she would show up, despite how unlikely.

Alicia was never the type of person to stand someone up, and she especially wouldn't for this occasion, when she had been the one who invited him out in the first place. The young lady paused at the counter, chatting with the waitress. His brown gaze swept over the tables, though she couldn't see Montare from where she was standing.

However,Montare could see Alicia, luckily. At first he wondered why she wasn't coming over, but he realised he couldn't see him. At this, he got up and walked over to where she was standing. "Hey," he said trying to sound casual.

Alicia nodded at the waitress and handed her a small bill, payment in advance. "Hello, Montare." she smiled quietly, "I'm sorry, was I late?"

"No, not at all," he replied. He led her over to the table he was sitting at. "Glad you showed up."

Alicia nodded quietly and followed him to the table, setting her purse gently down. "I'm glad you waited." she said, "She should bring out our drinks soon."

Montare smiled, very glad that Alicia showed up. "So, what did you order?" This was all that he thought to ask, as he was always terrible at starting conversations.

"Simple coffee and cakes." She answered simply and took a seat, "You look a bit nervous."

Montare sat down in the seat opposite to her. "Oh, it's nothing," he lied, hoping it wouldn't be seen through. Suppose this is one result of that damn training. I never got many friends, so something like this is new to me...

"Is that so?" Alicia asked lightly, though it was clear from tone in her voice that she didn't believe him.

Montare decided he'd be better off to stop lying. "Let's just say my power prevented me from getting out much."

The young woman blinked, pausing for a second before nodding understandingly, "I see. How unfortunate." Alicia said, lowering her gaze. At least her power was very easily hid. Running around every moment of the day afraid you might be showing some - ahem, wolf-like appearances... That didn't sound well at all. "It's a good thing you came here, then. Everyone seems rather accepting."

"Yeah, everyone I've met so far has been accepting of my power. This is the first time I've hadn't need to worry much about it." He felt as though a weight had been lifted from him. He looked over to see the waitress was coming their way.

Alicia smiled, "Wonderful." she commented, eying the waitress as she walked up. Silently, Alicia helped her set down the coffee and the little cakes, giving thanks before she walked away. "I hope things are alright between us." She muttered, adding sugar to her drink.

At her mentioning this, Montare thought back to before. "Yeah, everything's fine." he replied, although barely meaning it. He knew this was far from a date, but he still hoped he might get to at least know her better.
