PostSubject: A Dragon, a Russian and an Infirmary [Semi-Open]   Tue Aug 16, 2016 8:13 pm

Janya laid in the bed in the Infirmary. She didn't like being here, but it was her fault for getting distracted and falling good distance onto the hard ground below. She didn't break anything but she was sore as hell, and had small scratches everywhere that were bandaged up to protect them from outside elements and to let them heal. While she could have been healed she didn't really want to be. She wanted to learn from her mistake, but she had the feeling that once she slept one of them would get to her, and heal her.

She let out a small huff, not knowing what to do. She would rather be training or doing something in this time but instead she was stuck here. Though it was her fault for refusing a healer. She thought there wasn't something to do around here but everyone was busy working or others where busy being sick or injured so they weren't up for conversation. She only hoped someone would show up to entertain her. Maybe Ash? Or whats his face that started with the letter f? Or maybe even Milk. But she doubted it after the kind of attitude he had with her and the other girl after her falling unfolded. She let out a soft sigh, her head tilting slightly with a frown on her face.

After he'd dropped off all his possessions into his dorm room, Mikhail found himself with absolutely nothing to do. He was very bored and just happened to be in the cafeteria. He also just happened to come across some fresh summer mangos. They were bright yellow, like a certain girl he may have treated quite roughly out of both exhaustion and fear. It wasn't exactly his most dignified moment, but it wasn't his fault, no, she'd fallen on him, after all. Could he really be blamed for threatening her? Also there was the matter of the annoying american, he would have been less caustic if the annoying do-gooder wasn't around.

So wandering aimlessly, he happened upon the infirmary. He didn't go there deliberately, he just ended up passing it with an armful of mangos. As for why he entered, well, the mangos were heavy. He wanted to be rid of them, and he was pretty certain that blonde hair girl wouldn't have eaten yet. This was all about him. He needed someone to fob the mango off to, and she was good candidate.

"I'm entering." He warned, before he opened the door with a kick.

Janya was sitting in up in her bed, her yellow eyes focused on her hands as they moved doing really nothing besides touching thumb tip to finger tip. She let out a small sigh, her posture slumping down slightly. Her back curving slightly and resting against the pillows that were set up against the head rest of the bed. Her hands stopped moving and her yellow eyes looked up from them to the door only to watch as it was kicked open, and the boy she didn't expect to see appeared.

"Well that was quite an entrance." She remarked, noting the fruit he held in his arms. "What brings you buy? I thought I didn't make that good of an impression on you for you to want to see me again."

"You didn't." He replied without a second of hesitation, but as he did, he pulled out a chair for himself. He planted himself carefully on the chair, still juggling the several mangos in his arms. Once the bright yellow tropical fruits were precariously balanced on his lap, he took out one of his various knifes from his sleeve, glancing up briefly to dare her to say something before stabbing one of the soft-fleshed fruits. "I have too much fruit. You're hungry." He carved the mango with surprising care for someone who smashed down door and threatened strangers in forests.

"Eat." He offered her a piece of the sweet fruit that was currently impaled on his gleaming steel knife that definitely didn't look like it had been designed to carve fruit.

Janya wasn't surprised with his quick reply. She figured she didn't do anything fantastic but she was just trying to make conversation. She glanced over to him as he sat down and tried to balance the fruit which he ended up doing to her surprise. She didn't expect him to pull a knife out but at the same time it didn't scare her. It felt familiar, but she couldn't quite remember why. She recoiled a little bit when he said she was hungry. She wasn't that hungry but she could eat a little bit. Was he trying to make up for something?

She glanced over occasionally as he carved the fruit but she kept her focus on on her hands. She didn't know what to say to the boy. She knew he did something to her, but her memory was starting to fail her and everything was becoming fuzzy. Her yellow eyes went back to him as he told her to eat. She looked at the knife with the piece of fruit for a moment before taking it carefully and taking it a bite. She finished the bite first before saying, "Thanks. I wasn't that hungry, but a small snack is good for keeping energy up." She liked fruit. Fruit was healthy and it always tasted sweet.

He'd expected more of a response, for her to flail at the sight of his knife or at least look wary but the girl seemed to lack all survival instinct. The last time they met, he pulled a knife on her yet she trusted him with a knife in this instance. He was skilled, he could cut her throat before she could scream in one swipe, or pin her down onto the white infirmary beds, muffle her pleas for help with a pillow. Or he could have just poisoned the fruits, he hadn't eaten any after all. She was foolish to trust him so blindly, either that or she was missing a few screws.

"Hm." He didn't comment, carving up more fruit for the girl with deft hands. Only when most of the fruits were peeled and placed neatly in a plastic cup off to the side, he wiped his knife on the bedspread before tucking it away. Stretching his arms, he loosened his tense muscles, shirt hitching up to show his defined abdominal muscles before he settled down to berate her. "Eat more and don't fall off sky. Next person might not forgive you."

"Whats so scary about someone falling from the sky?" She asked, totally not eyeing his muscles that he showed off for just a moment. It was the school's forest there shouldn't be anyone dangerous in there, and besides someone falling from the sky and hitting the ground wouldn't pose that much of a threat since, well, they wouldn't exactly have an easy time moving especially if they broke some bones. She probably would have had some if her bones weren't stronger from her gift.

She took the chance to finish off the piece of fruit she had, not minding the boy or the knife he had. She doubted he would do anything to harm her, there was also the fact his knife would be rendered useless if she transformed. Well it would take a lot more work to do her harm. "And why should I eat more?" She asked curiously. She wasn't too hungry, which she believed she stated already. She didn't think she was underweight. She knew what it was like to be just bone, she wasn't even close to that point.

"You are silly, American. Falling from sky is dangerous, not scary. I know man who would kill you for surprising him." Mikhail said in a matter of fact matter, while crossing his legs to relax into the seat. He appeared calm, but his eyes darted over to the exits every now and then, reaffirming his escape plan if something happened out of trained instinct. Only those standing near him could see the subtle tension in his body, the way his hand hovered over where he kept his knife while pretending to tapping a meaningless pattern against the fabric of his jeans.

As for her question on why she needed to eat more, he simply grabbed another piece of mango and stuffed her mouth. "No more questions." He wiped his wet hands on a napkin on the bedside table with a hint of amusement in his eyes, just a hint.

Janya shrugged, and opened her mouth to reply only to find a piece of fruit in her mouth instead. She looked up at the boy her eyes trying to see something before narrowing into a glare. While the fruit was nice, she plucked the piece of fruit out of her mouth for a moment so she could speak. "I already knew falling from the sky was dangerous." She might have been forgetful, but she wasn't that forgetful to the point where she forgot common sense.

She didn't move her eyes away from him. "And my name is not American, my name is Janya.." Now that she was on the subject of names, she couldn't remember his.. she remembered it starting with an m or something. She looked up to the ceiling getting lost in thought for a moment. "Hmm... what was your name again..? Mi... Mil... Milk?" She said sort of pondering to herself about his name. She wanted to remember but she didn't think she could.

"Milk." His tone was as dry and inspired as his face at her butchery of his name. It was impressive how expressive he could be with half his face bandaged up with swathes of white and a fringe spilling over it. His single blue eye and quirked brow managed to say a thousand words. "Mi-kh-ail. It is russian. It means, Who is God? I call you, Janya, you call me Mikhail. No cow juice."

This was the first time that someone had twisted his name like that. Since he'd arrived in America, he'd gotten a few names, Mickey, Ruskie, Mik, but Milk? Janya was an odd one, even for an American.

"Mi-kh-ail She echoed with some ease. "I dunno.. I'm gonna forget that in five seconds. Milk is easier to say and remember. And slightly cute." She said with a small smile. Coming up with nicknames allowed her to remember people's names a little bit easier. Though it usually resulted in her calling them that nickname... "It also matches your hair!" She said jokingly with a cute giggle.

She looked at the fruit in her hand, and decided to nibble on it a little bit, prepared that he might yell at her for saying something like that or at least get mad at her. Though she didn't care. It would get hard for him to call her American around others since basically everyone was american, while her nicknames was unique to just him.
