Your arena is based on the sporty.
You seem to have found yourselves in the middle of a field,
much like Beata's very own with few slight differences. The area
seems to be bigger, with the bleachers greater distance away and
bright, blinding lights shining down on you from above.

Both of you may post once to ready yourselves before the fight begins.

Her last match in the tournament wasn't really a match at all. The poor guy had given up before they'd even really began, it seemed. It was disappointing to the Spring, after all she didn't spend the year training just to win by some fluke, but she supposed she didn't really have the right to complain.

Brailynn let out a yawn, hiding it behind her hand. She'd had her own weapons, brass knuckles embedded into her glove fabric and a small blade tucked away into her shoe, though she doubted she'd need the later. It was nothing but a last resort and she preferred to face things with her fists if she could. Sizing her opponent up, she wondered if he was the same way.

She only knew of his name from the moment she'd looked at the roster and little else. Perhaps she could've went the extra mile and researched all her possible opponents, like she knew some others liked to in the tournament, but maybe she just liked the surprise. After all, in her mind, they were going down either way no matter who they were or what they could do.

"Hey, good luck!" The blonde called over, stretching out her arms. "You won't flake out or anything on me, will you?"

Round 2: Brailynn Moore vs. Noah Wayley Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 2: Brailynn Moore vs. Noah Wayley   Round 2: Brailynn Moore vs. Noah Wayley EmptySat Jun 18, 2016 10:29 pm

This time when Noah entered the arena, he wasn't smiling. The thought of his last match was still very fresh in his mind.. The searing pain in his heel, the tone of his opponent's voice, his speed stolen away from him in an instant.. He wasn't going to let that happen again. He wasn't going to underestimate the person he was set against this round. It wasn't, however, like he was afraid of his opposition, or of fighting. The Autumn's eyes were still on the prize, and he wouldn't let any doubts sink in. He was confident in his skills. It was just that this time, he knew that going easy wouldn't be an option. He wasn't going to let somebody do to him what Charlotte had done last match again.

This time, the simulated arena had taken on the appearance of the Beata sports field that Noah knew all-too well. Noah ran his fingers through his ginger locks, tucking back a couple loose strands of hair. His opponent stood somewhere around twenty meters away from him. She looked relaxed. Noah, on the other hand, was uncharacteristically tense with the remains of frustration from his previous battle still lingering in his head. Maybe it would do him well to relax, too.. But just a little. Beata students weren't the weak, gift-less little shits from back home in Yellowknife. Even for someone who could exceed the speed of sound, there were risks. He'd learned that the other day.

Nonetheless, Noah's body was bursting with adrenaline - itching to move. He allowed a grin to cross his lips. "Mmh, I suppose it would be pretty boring if I did. I'll try to keep things interesting for you, then."

Brailynn looked the young man over one time, taking in his stiff posture, the cross look on his face, and the overall way he carried himself. He looked tense. That was the best way she could thing to put it. Most new students were like that, she figured. The tournament itself took getting used to. It was easy to forget that you were in a simulation. She'd been in this dance for the past few years, and "killed" a few times over; having been burned alive with hot acid and struck down with several arrows until she bled out. Now that she thought about it, you could have probably considered her crazy that she kept coming back.

But it was addicting being here. She loved the competition and the rush of adrenaline. This was going to be her last chance to be involved and she wanted to make sure every second counted. "Great! Don't disappoint me!" Lynn called back over, shooting him a small wink. The second the alarm sounded, a soft yellow light appeared, lacing around her fists and over her feet. She reminded herself she didn't know his power. If it was long-ranged, she needed to close the distance between them as close as possible, and if it was short-ranged, well - that worked in both of their favors then. Either way, it wasn't wise for her to stay still for long.

The Spring took off in a run towards him, keeping her eyes narrowed, watching for any surprises and ready to use her gift at any moment. Even if it might have been a bit too early and could have been risky for her to use her power, she didn't want to take the chance of being found off-guard from the get go.
