Round 1: Cayden Hawke vs. Kenelm Alium-Aquilam

Kenelm walked out into the middle of the field, hands resting on the back of his head. He looked ahead with a shit-eating grin on his face, Jadgkommando stuck in his shorts, ready to be drawn whenever it may be needed. This was going to be fun.

Without a word, Kenelm simply sprouted wings and took flight upwards whilst making sure to add some degree of chaos to his flight to make him a harder target than he already was, letting his bones hollow like an eagle, accelerating upward at over 60 miles per hour. If this motherfucker wanted to win, he sure as shit was going to have to work for it. He was going down one way or another. How that would come about, Kenelm didn't know. Not yet, at least.

What the hell were these things popping up everywhere? Not daring to take any risks with the orbs, Kenelm simply dodged around them as he turned to fly towards the tree, while still flying upward. Damn good thing he'd always spent plenty of time flying around a town among the buildings, else he might not be able to pull this off. Maybe this bastard could see him now, but could he see something over 10,000 feet in the air? After all, Kenelm was the one with eagle eyes, not this motherfucker. Kenelm grinned when he realized that he'd still be able to see Cayden just fine since he can have eagle eyes. After he was safe he'd decide what to do next.

As a result of being able to tell how quickly things could go to shit for him, Kenelm had made sure to speed up until he was at his maximum as fast as possible. This would pay off, as he'd manage to get high enough by the time Cayden's sun bombs were going off that there simply wouldn't be enough oxygen to support very much fire. This combined with his flight speed enabled Kenelm to escape the hell that was being unleashed below him virtually unharmed. But now what was he going to do? He would be able to stay this high up for quite some time, but that wasn't going to win him the match. God damn it...

There was no sign of Kenelm as the tree burned for a few moments. After some time however, Kenelm would come shooting through the smoke with his Jagdkommando in hand, diving straight for Cayden at more than twice the speed he was going at before. Sure, he'd gotten screwed out of being able to make use of the tree now that it was ablaze and wasn't likely to be much after long enough. But he'd been given an opportunity to attack Cayden. Only a second or two and Cayden would be dead... hopefully.

Aw crap.

Pulling up at the last second, Kenelm narrowly avoided crashing into Cayden's shield, instead speeding past him before turning and starting to circle overhead, making sure to keep his speed up while he did so. Whatever, so Cayden escaped being impaled and dying that way. But he'd only delayed his demise. Kenelm wasn't about to lose to sun boy here, that was for sure. While he might not have been injured yet, neither was Kenelm.

Oh fuck. That's not good.

Kenelm realized he'd have very little time to pull this off if he didn't want to get fucked up badly. Doing his best to dodge the light beams firing around, Kenelm waited until it was time to turn again and kept flying, but as he came close to Cayden he suddenly veered towards him, again having his Jagdkommando ready to impale him. Hopefully Cayden had weakened his shield in the process of attacking. If he did, Kenelm would pierce through and hit Cayden somewhere. If not... Shit. Hopefully it was weakened. Then he'd be fine and Cayden wouldn't be. Sure, Kenelm had sustained a few minor burns in the process of this, but it'd be nothing compared to being stabbed.

Son of a bitch!

Kenelm gritted his teeth as the marble pierced through his abdomen near the side, going clean through. Luckily its insane heat caused it to instantly cauterize the wound it left, ensuring it wouldn't be bleeding for quite some time. Kenelm continued to be carried on by his momentum with his Jagdkommando still in hand. Wait... Cayden didn't dodge away or try and strengthen his shield. Trying to ignore the pain, Kenelm grinned as the dagger headed for his heart. Now it was too late for either of them to do much about it. Kenelm was moving too fast for him to be able to pull away even a little bit in time, and Cayden wouldn't have time to do anything either.

Well, this was fucking falling apart fast.

Kenelm forced himself off the ground after he had tumbled somewhat quickly, his momentum when he had been kicked causing him to go a considerable distance away. The wound in his side, while somewhat minor initially due to it being cauterized, had grown somewhat worse due to the kick. It could have messed him up worse, but he also could have gotten away from it better. Now what the hell was he going to do? Glancing around quickly, he saw his answer. That damned tree. Luckily it'd hadn't been burning long enough for a tree as large as it to  damaged, and holy hell was there a lot of smoke anywhere near it now. Without another thought, Kenelm took flight towards the tree and the gigantice cloud of smoke around it. He winced as he held his side; he'd need to take care of that wound somewhat if he wanted to stay in fighting condition. Fortunately he'd probably be able to buy himself enough time to find some way to end this.

Making sure he stayed ready to evade any potential attacks, he would reach the smoke in a few of seconds.

God damn it, is there no end to this? Kenelm gritted his teeth as a rogue piece of tree shrapnel shot past him, cutting his shoulder. Nothing major, but sucky nonetheless. Letting himself spin around, he looked back in the direction Cayden was in. Thanks to the explosion he caused, the tree was even more fucked up and probably wasn't long for this world now. However, he also caused smoke to be all around him. Now Kenelm's plan would be a bit easier to pull off with less work on his part. Flying over to where more smoke was being pumped out by fire, he began flapping his wings while staying mostly in place, sending more and more smoke over to where Cayden was. The smoke would rise soon enough that it wouldn't be in Cayden's eyes, but it would be a dense blanket overhead, and Kenelm was making sure to make the most of this makeshift smoke factory to get it as spread out as he could without harming the thickness of it too much.

God damn it, the motherfucker was running. Kenelm noticed Cayden's figure run out from under the blanket of smoke. He wasn't about to let him get away that easily, especially after seeing what he was capable of. Making sure to stay out of the smoke cloud, he continued to push it along in the direction Cayden was fleeing. On the bright side, Cayden was the one running away now. However, Kenelm had to move it slowly to keep the smoke together in addition to minimizing how much of it rose too high, at least right now. Then again... It'd cast a bigger shadow and block out more sun higher up. Realizing this, Kenelm didn't fight the rising of the smoke more than was necessary to keep it together while he pushed it towards Cayden. Another benefit of being outside of the cloud was still being able see for the most part. Time to chase Cayden 'till he stopped running.
