Young, Impressionable, Easily Swayed (for Wild)

Her head was starting to go fuzzy. It felt like her entire body was on fire, all the coldness she had been feeling was gone from their movements. She didn't try to control her breathing anymore, her mouth open against his jaw and slipping down his neck, each in and out making ragged sounds.

"Damn, kid, this can't be your first rodeo," she managed to say. Ava couldn't help but let out a sharp breath of laughter, although a strong wave of pleasure swept through her, interrupting her.

"I never said it was." he breathed. His breaths were beginning to come out similar to Ava's. As they continued, the waves of pleasure became more intense and he found it harder to control himself. "Oh yes... this feels so good.." he moaned.

Every few thrusts, Ava let out a moan, starting to form words-- mostly curse words-- around the noises. She felt her core beginning to tighten again, this time faster than before. Her breathing shortened and she found herself gasping in Ed's ear, her hands gripping at the blanket below the two of them.

"Ed... she moaned, finally going over the edge and tightening around him slightly, riding out the waves as she let him finish.

It wasn't long after Ava finished that Ed finished as well. Pleasure came with an intensity that he had never felt before. "Oh... Ava..." he moaned quietly as the feeling began to subside.

For a moment, the girl didn't move, taking some time to catch her breath, each one hot on his neck. Her cheeks were hot and her hands ached from grabbing the blankets, but she smiled and pushed herself up enough that she could look him in the eye. Her breathing slightly more under control, she studied his face for a moment before saying, "That was something."

Edward took a moment to regain his breath too. "It definitely was." he replied, smiling. His face was slightly red, and he felt incredibly hot. He leaned forward and kissed the girl again, this time softly. "And it was great." he added.

"Yeah, it was great," she laughed, kissing him briefly. Carefully, she pushed herself off of him and settled with her head on his shoulder, flat on her back and staring up at the ceiling. She fell silent. Now that it was over, her mind was racing again, almost as if nothing had happened. The package she had brought for him in that alleyway was still in her pocket, now on the floor, and she was still sneaking around, trying to hide what she was doing from the other people in black.

With a gentle groan, she rolled over, burying her face in Ed's shoulder, comforted slightly by his warmth. If she had been with anyone else, she would've dug out the last cigarette she had. At least it would give her the calming effect she wanted.

Ed put an arm around her and frowned slightly. "What's wrong?" he asked her. He wasn't the best at comforting people, but if he dug down far enough into the recesses of his mind, he, like his twin, could be very caring.

Ava considered telling Ed for a moment. It would be something different, something she never did. She was used to keeping everything inside, keeping everything quiet and secret and never telling people. But as she opened her mouth to say something, she found herself saying something else.

"Nothing." Her skin was starting to cool and, as a result, she was starting to shiver again from the cold.

Ed could tell she was lying. But he didn't press her to tell him. He knew that if someone wanted to tell him something, they'd do it. "If you say so." he responded, pulling the girl closer. He was starting to get a little chilled too.

"It's cold in here," Ava said, sitting up and rubbing her arms. She swung her legs off the edge of the bed and studied the mess of clothes they had tossed aside. There was a pause as she tried to decide what she wanted to do. She could already feel the anxiety starting to set in her gut. Staring at the floor, she considered grabbing his shirt and crawling under the blankets and falling asleep here in this room, but her jacket was right next to his shirt.

What did this mean? Were they together now? Ava's anxiety turned to panic. She hadn't meant for this to happen, not like this. She stood and grabbed her underwear, quickly pulling it on and reaching for her bra.
"Is that the time? I have-- I'm-- Someone's waiting for me."

Edward, a little disappointed, got up as well. "Really? I was kinda hoping we could stay here for awhile. Stay away from it all." he said. Using his speed, he ran into the bathroom, cleaned up, and got dressed, dressing Ava as well. The only thing left was her jacket, which conveniently had the Velocity X stored away, but he had completely forgotten about it, for now. "Well, if you have to go, I helped you out a bit. Are you absolutely sure you need to go?" He didn't know what he felt about Ava, but it was a strange feeling and he didn't know what to do with it either.

She had never seen Ed's power at work, but when she suddenly found the two of them dressed, she realized what it was he wanted the drug for. Ava grabbed her jacket and tugged her arms into it. She felt the package hit her leg as she pulled it on. Her last cigarette was underneath it, and her fingers brushed it as she wrapped her hand around the drug.

"Yeah, I forgot about...a thing," she said carefully. Taking a deep breath, she pulled out the package and pressed it into Ed's hands, leaving no room for an awkward hug or kiss goodbye. "Here's what you came for."

Ed looked at the package. "Oh..." he said, slightly upset at her sudden professionalism. "Uh... thanks." he tossed the package onto the bed. "Hey, be careful out there. Please. Promise me you will." he told her. What he didn't say was: 'I need you to come back.' She was the only one who understood what it was like to be him. She knew what it was like to always be in danger, to be taught to hate everything. She knew what it was like. All of it. He didn't understand the sudden need to have her around and it slightly scared him. He had never felt this way before. Were all the years of not feeling finally wearing off? He had no idea.

Ava froze, looking Ed square in the eyes. Nobody had said anything like that to her. This was why she hated getting attached and making friends; her line of work wasn't meant for building lasting friendships or romances. One-time flings and hookups were easier. She couldn't promise him anything. In a low voice that was husky with repressed emotion, she said, "I won't make promises I can't keep, kid."

It took her a few seconds to turn towards the door. When she finally did, she twisted the knob and opened it, ready to leave. She paused once more and said over her shoulder, "I'll be in touch." With that, Ava was gone, leaving the boy alone.
