The Ending of the Beginning

"Today is a good day, is it not?" A women, clad in all black, had both hands gripped tightly around the rails as she looked out into the horizon. The wind was strong, all these stories up, blowing her long, raven black hair. Her cold, blue eyes turned back inside, to meet the others standing there again. She folded her hands gently in front of her, walking forward, slowly passing each of them by. "This place, should we find it - we will have the power of Gods." She passed an off-setting, young man; another quite eccentric girl. All in black.
This woman, though, stopped in front of the third man, having to look up to him. "It shouldn't be too hard, right? The world is only so big...?" A sly, teasing smile grew on her face as she reached up, running a finger gently down his jawline.

The first young man played with his glasses, only half paying attention to what the woman had to say. He had heard those words a million times, and he understood. Let's get on with this already. He groaned inwardly, though didn't speak at all- which was unusual for him.
The young woman clad in black jeans and a light black hoodie fidgeted. "You really think we'll find it, boss?" The girl asked, around 19 though she appeared younger than she actually was. She was rather uncertain of what they were doing, but trusted in the woman in front of her. Slate blue hair danced around in a light wind, and her brown eyes shined.
The last man stood rigid, his expression serious and another emotion that could only be considered bored. "Right. Ready?" He moved away from her touch subtly and looked down at the woman.

The woman laughed under her breath as he pulled away, turning around and brushing off the collar of her shirt, her blue gaze flickered back the the girl. "Of course, we'll find it." She reassured her, a look of strange endearment on her face. "As soon they're open, send out the search parties. If anything should escape - let them be. We can afford the distractions." Her eyes traveled to the man from before, "And you know what to do."
A smile crept on her face once again as she walked forward in front of a large computer that near covered the entire wall. Daintily, she typed a few keys in with one hand, making a large map of North America appear on the screen. Flicking open a glass case, revealing a few red switches, she spun around, "We're ready. Who would like to do the honors?"

The man nodded, but didn't speak. Of course he knew what he had to do. In a lot of ways, his mission was the most important among the group, minus perhaps their leader herself.
"Oh, I'd love to!" The young girl grinned and immediately jumped forward. Standing next to the computer, the girl took it all in. If the boss said it would work, then she had no further doubts involving the mission. She ran her small, well manicured hands over the switches, before finding the largest switch, and most definitely the nineteen year old's favorite. For a moment, she savored all of the power she possessed, before thrusting the switch down and stepping back, watching as the computer went to work sending signals off. And it begun.
