Quickly digging into his bag, Shin pulled out an extra sheet of paper and wrote his name, date, and class on the top right corner of his lined paper. Homework on the first day? yikes, no time to relax huh? Better get used to it. Perhaps he could work at the library later. Wait. That means he might get homework in math. Shit. My worst subject. Oh, he hoped the math teacher was nice.

Bending to her side, Scilene shuffled though her bag. She pulled out a #2 pencil and a collage lined sheet of paper. Delicately writing her words on the top right hand corner of the paper. After she finished, the student looked up expectingly at the teacher. Homework? Ugh! Wasting no time, is she?

Lotte took out a paper, pushing Ethel off and carefully writing out a heading in neat calligraphy. Ethel groaned, but since class started, she took a seat in the back of the classroom, hoping tardy students wouldn't sit on her. That would be terrible. Lotte hoped that homework would be forgiving and scarce. Working until nightfall was cruel, and would hold back her photography. Not much things looked very nice at night, besides the sky. It was the only thing that was favorable during night over day. Lotte so loved the sky and it's many different forms. It was always new, unique, and pleasing to the eye. Skies fascinated the girl.

Sean took out a freshly sharpened pencil and a piece of paper from a folder in his binder and sat them both quietly on the desk. He wrote his name, the date, and the hour on it. As he waited for further instruction he looked to te side and saw the girl from the conservatory. Damn it. I must apologize to that woman soon before she starts to hate me for what I did. My father would scream at me for commiting such a crime. He cringed at the thought.

Jayden help up his hands in submission, flashing his brother a mischievous grin. The teacher seemed... nice enough. Though at the mention of homework, he did frown slightly. He wasn't the best at keeping up with that sort of thing. Still, he ripped a page out his notebook, not bothering with keeping it neat like Evelyn. Still, as he wrote his name on the top of the paper, his print was neat and easy to read; though that made sense for someone who had to write most everything.

Kimply listened intently to what Miss Nabell had to say, and watched as she spoke to Evelyn. Frowning, Kimply mulled that over. Did they know each other? What was the teacher giving her? Though her curiosity only lasted for a few moments as she turned back to the front of the class and began to prepare for taking notes.

The Professor laughed lightly at the sounds of sighs and groans. Music to her ears, really~. "Oh, come now, you didn't really think you all would get out of your school work - did you? And it won't be that hard." Off of her cart, she pulled stacks of several books out - They were white and hard-covered; going around the room, she gave one to each student as she explained what these were for. "These won't be part of your grade - but I encourage you to always keep them at the forefront of your mind." The teacher said slowly, "Try to write in these often. Write about your life here. The people you meet. The things you see. How your powers are progressing. Its a wonderful way to practice your English skills - and, when you look back on it at the end of the year, you can see how much you've grown~." She finished passing out the empty books and walked back to the front, beginning to write something on the chalkboard.

______

The young man shot a crooked grin back his brother's way. Well, shit. They were found out already. He supposed he shouldn't be surprised, though. When he received the book, he turned it around in his hand a few times, but wasn't particularly interested; he'd never remember to write in it. And besides, anything important that happened, he could simply remember - right? If he didn't, it wasn't that amazing. Then again, unlike everyone else, he hadn't even wrote his name on his paper yet.

Alicia, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. She gazed down at the book in her hands and flipped through the blank pages with complete amazement. She had never actually had a diary before. Strangely enough, she had never thought to use one. The seer had a sketchpad for her visions, but that wasn't the same. How different this was to her...

Evelyn carefully ran her hand over the book, turning it over in her hands, before slowly opening it to a random page. Blank. A journal? A diary? Well... it wouldn't be too hard to keep. Not like she was doing wild crazy things at night anyways, she'd definitely have time for it. Besides, it might be fun... she could look through it for an easy nostalgia trip, at the very least, and record things she would have never remembered otherwise. And even if it was option, she felt obligated to complete it...

Montare took out a piece of notebook paper and a pencil, then wrote his name and such in his crappy handwriting.

Montare Lupo, English, March 21 2033

When he got the blank book he looked through its pages. He would have some things to write inside of it. Afterwards, he put it away and began to pay attention to Professor Nabell.

Scilene blinked as she was handed the blank book. Some how I know this is going to be almost like a sketchbook. I'll draw a few things on the corner of the pages as a get bored. Shaking her head with amusement, Scilene put it neatly into her bag and shifted her attention back to the teacher. But it soon started drifting off, and she thought about her older brother. Though she was still watching the teacher, Scilene's thoughts where elsewhere.

Shin beamed. This is AWESOME! It'll give him something to do after his homework, and he won't get judged for having a diary. Because boys can be so judgmental. ;; Opening the cover, it make a creasing sound like it hadn't been opened ever before. Perfect! The student placed his new possession into his bag and turned back to the teacher.

Hosa glanced at her new blank book. She had brought a book to use as a journal, but hey, she always liked more things to draw in. Placing it with her stuff she glanced back at the teacher, trying to do her best not to start doodling on the paper before her.

A...Journal? The idea kinda startled Netro. He had never thought of having one before, but as he looked at the blank book that sat infront of him he started to dwell on the matter. It would no doubt being intresting...He placed the book to the side, planning to think more about it later.

Gilda groaned as she heard that she would have homework. On the first day? Now she'd have less time for fun! Sighing, picked up the book and opened it, only to find it blank on every page. Is this a...journal? She shrugged, placing it in her bag. She could use it to record how much she had progressed in a new form.

Lotte blinked at the book. Why would she write about things she saw when she could show the teacher. Lotte patted her pocket, which bulged with a camera. shuddap The redundancy was killing Lotte, and she groaned, writing her name in the book. She jotted down on the first line after her name: "You and I won't be friends, diary", and then ended the sentence with a little angry face. She seemed pleased with her work, because she suddenly gained a positive attitude. If she put pictures in the diary along with her entries, maybe she could have both in harmony. Sure, it would take longer, but she didn't mind.

Cyreen frowned as he was given the book. He opened it, and his frown went upside-down as he realized it wasn't a textbook, but a journal. I like it.

Kynrea giggled as she flipped through the book. She turned abck to the first page and started to doodle.

What was she supposed to talk about? Some things you just kept to yourself- and maybe she was paranoid, but she figured anyone could find and read your journal. Still, as Kimply skimmed through the blank pages, she felt a sudden need to fill it with words and stories. Maybe it would be nice to talk to someone... She slipped book in her bag, promising herself she'd at least try.

Now what would he need that for? After all, Jayen already had a journal. An empty one at that. But maybe this was different. He could speak with a pen, even if it was just to himself.

Professor Nabell smiled at her class, nodding and waiting for them to settle down. "Since this is your first day of learning - and I'm sure you're all still just waking up - I figured I'd give you an easy day and an easier beginning assignment." The woman half-mindedly brushed her hair behind her ear and stepped back, grabbing a ruler and using it to point on her writing on the chalkboard.

'A Letter to Your New Teacher'

"Due tomorrow. Simply write me a letter telling me about yourself. Where you're from. What you like... Not too hard, right? I expect you to put some effort in, though." The English teacher set her ruler back down and sat at her desk, having some paperwork to finish. "You have the rest of the day to work and talk amongst yourselves - keep it at an inside level, though~."

Hosa glanced at the assignment on the bored with a frown. Well shit; what was she going to say? She didn't have a very interesting life...well, other then the time when she first shapeshifted...With a sigh, she picked up her pencil and started to write notes down about her life. She really didn't want to do this whole thing but she figured if it was homework...

Netro paused from the assignment to his paper, and then back again. Write about his life? This would be an interesting assignment to be sure. He glanced around the room before he picked up his pencil, and started to tap the paper with the tip of it. How would he start?
