Pieces [Solo] Empty
PostSubject: Pieces [Solo]   Pieces [Solo] EmptyThu Jul 20, 2017 9:49 pm

This is for the best..

"At 12:29 this morning police had finally apprehended one of the notorious gang leaders in the Chicago area. It's said that he didn't give up much of a fight, and actually went willingly when police had him surrounded.. Unfortunately they were unable to make any other arrests for the gang leader was alone when he was caught, but the good news is this is a step in the right direction for the Chicago area."

"The police found the gang leader stocking up on some illegals goods. It was also said that they were only able to find him thanks to some information that they had received." The news reporter took a small pause for a second. "The police refuse to give out the gang leader's name at this point in time, but we will keep you updated as we come across new information. Remember if you have any information at all on gang activity make sure you call Crime stoppers."

"Alright, let's join Janet for today's forecast."

No picture was show from the report nor was a name giving. Just a generalization of something that happened July 15th. The main story aired around 5pm later in the day, while through out the day small bits where given on the story. It was one of the main subject of the News in the Chicago city area for a while, since this was first major progress against the gang activity that seemed to be untouchable. Yeah they got a few members here and there but never a leader. The next story to air after that one just covered the typical fuss of the city. There was mention of the new airport still continuing to operate smoothly, and they still couldn't find the source of what caused the collapse of the old one.

I can only help you so much.

There were still a few more days. There was time for things to be sorted, and completed. The news wasn't that big, so maybe they didn't know unless they went looking. There was time for things to go well and sources to do their job. It had to go smoothly. It needed to. It was a waiting game at this point, and waiting would happen.

Pieces [Solo] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pieces [Solo]   Pieces [Solo] EmptyFri Jul 21, 2017 6:57 pm

Are you sure about this?

Fingers drummed absent mindedly on the wooden desk. The concrete walls echoing the sound somewhat. In the chair at the desk sat a tall blond, papers were scattered on the desk, and on the floor near by. For a gang there was a lot of paper work was involved surprisingly. Brown eyes scanned the papers in front of him, occasionally something was scribbled on them before being passed into another stack.

The man's eyes lifted from the paper's as soon as there was a knock on the door that lead to the somewhat big office. With a sigh Laine stood up, grabbing a piece of paper pinning it to the map on the wall behind him before moving to the door. He opened the door leaning on the wall beside it. "What do you want?" He asked flatly. Normally he was a lot more cheerful than that but there were things that needed to be done, and soon. They had to make arrangements soon before they ended up in big trouble.

The person behind the door seemed somewhat shocked at Laine's reaction, but quickly dismissed it. "This is for you, sir." They said before handing him a letter.

After taking the letter, Laine closed the door not really saying much to the gang member that came to talk to him. He was more so curious about the letter. No one knew this was their base of operations. He looked it over before flipping it over to the other side to look at who it was from. There was nothing but a single word, and his name.

Brown eyes widened at the sight of the word, the pressure of the paper work forgotten for the moment. Laine quickly opened the letter, reading it's contents at a brisk pace. Once he reached the end he let out a hefty sigh and leaned against his desk. Of course.. It was like him to do something so reckless.. but what choice did he have? It was Magic after all.. He had to help when it came to this.. Shaking his head, he cleared his desk for the moment, and started to draw up plans. The arrangements he had to make could be left for another time.

It's really the only option that works out..

It was two in the morning when he finished. The plans were drawn up, well more so written down. The documents needed. He only needed to make this arrangements. It was one of the best ways for what Magic had in mind. The gang could afford to lose a little money... He just needed to look at the goods, and the location to confirm what he had.

Laine let out a sigh. He tucked the plans in his desk before grabbing the other papers heading out of the office. The first gang member he came across was handed the papers. "Make sure these get to where they are supposed to be asap. I don't need things being delayed. Especially not this. If it is delayed then you are in a world of hurt when you get back. Got it?" Laine said a slight growl in his voice.

The gang member nodded his head before turning to leave the building.

Laine let out another hefty sigh. It was just a waiting game now. It was up to the others for the next few days. All he knew now was he was supposed to meet there in a weeks time. The gang leader returned to his office, grabbing the remote on the way in and turning on the news. It was mostly for background noise but it also helped him know what was happening in the city when he needed to know, but for now it was the same stories that had been airing for the past while.. Nothing new. At least not for now. He knew it was bound to change in a few days. It always did.

It was time to go home for now, and leave it up to the others. Hopefully they would do their part. He just had to wait and see for now.

Pieces [Solo] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pieces [Solo]   Pieces [Solo] EmptyFri Jul 28, 2017 10:41 pm

Explain how this should work.

Rain echoed through out the building as it hit the roof of the prison. He pleaded guilty to everything. Every single charge.. There was no point in taking it to court. It was just easier to take the deal for a shorter sentence than to fail at arguing his innocence. Though.. Even with the deal it was still a long time..

He knew he made a plan, but at the same time he felt like he deserved to be locked up. He should spend the rest of his time out in this building, with the other criminals just like him. There was on thing he had to hope for first, and that was Harley holding her part of the deal and getting AF off his back. If... If she didn't then it would only be a matter of time before they would come to break him out of this prison. Only a matter of time before he was forced to us his gift for not so innocent reasons..

Magic sat on his cot, his back against the wall. His knees pulled close to his chest, his arms resting on his knees. The only part of his face that was exposed was his dull green eyes. The voices around the prison filled his ears. He didn't want to interact with the others, he knew as soon as he did it would only lead to a fight. He didn't need that right now, he didn't need to be getting into trouble. He knew some off the guards and others had already been paid off but there were still others that couldn't be swayed, and now they probably were trying to find everything wrong in his behavior.

Mason let out a sigh. He could hear others talking, whispering. Some of them regular conversation, some were just rumors, while others were curious about him. They shouldn't be, they shouldn't want to learn about him. Some of them were talking about some outrageous things he did that weren't even close to the truth. Well... they weren't all baseless.. He did some pretty bad things before coming here. Things they didn't know about. All he was here for his gang crimes but to him it was a lot more than that. Of course he was never going to intentionally confess to all his murders. A lot of them were gift related. Oh he came up and killed us with nothing! Yeah that was a believable story.

Another sigh shortly followed. There were many factors that lead up to this point.. If he had stayed home and hadn't given the school a chance, he probably would have ended up in this place at some point. There was no doubting that. Though he probably wouldn't be regretting most of his life choices. He would be waiting for the day Laine and the rest of the gang broke him out.

But what about after that? If he had stayed at the school? He wasn't quite sure... He knew he was going to end up hurting someone really badly at some point. There was only one person who could get him out of moments like those and that was Adeline. She had left before he did.. What would have happened in that time? Yeah there was Dakota but... He didn't exactly know what that was... Something to keep him somewhat sane he guessed... Would she still have had his kid if he stayed? Or would she have ended up more hurt than what happened at the dorms with Kayla? He cared for Dakota he really did, but it wasn't quite the same as the way he loved Adeline...

Ugh what a mess he had gotten himself in.. He was going to have a lot to sort out... But that is why he was here wasn't it? To start to fix himself? He didn't know how much fixing this would do... This was mostly just to try and get him off of Argona's Radar for a while.. Well it all started with that didn't it? Did he even deserve to fix things with others back at the school?

All he knew was that Adeline was waiting on him... And that was enough. He knew he was going to help Kota with their new son, at least that is what he wanted to do. But if no one accepted his return.. Even if they all hated his guts.. Adeline wanted him back, and that would be enough for him. Though he would still be nervous about his situation.. it wouldn't be the most comfortable thing in the world.. But he would deal with it. All for his girlfriend? Is that what she was? They never really clarified that did they? Oh well that was for another time..

His green eyes flicked from the floor to the the cell door as he heard someone approaching, or rather walking past. His thoughts halting for a moment. He didn't know if each passing person was a guard or if it was someone else, and if it was someone else... then this wouldn't be good. It wasn't that time yet.. While it was up to Laine the final call the opening for Laine's window wasn't here yet.

Nervous eyes watched the door as the foot steps grew louder in his ears. Unintentionally the dark haired boy was holding his breath, his fingers digging into his skin. Pale green eyes stared down the figure as it walked past, paying no mind to the quiet person in his cell.

Mason let out the breath he didn't know he was holding in. The time frame would be coming soon.. While he didn't know for sure if all the pieces were in place, he could only hope. He just had to wait it out, and pray that AF didn't come for him.

The former student let out a sigh of relief as the footsteps left his range of hearing completely. While there were more, they were in other places near by, none of which were going to come by his cell anytime soon. He wouldn't be sleeping any time soon anyway, not in this place. He needed to keep track of what was going on, until he was able to get out again. He was going to get out.. at least if it was Laine that was coming to get him. If it was anyone else? Then he would rather die, then leave this place.

This is all that is left.

There were still a couple more days. There was time for things to be sorted, and completed. The news was a bit bigger than before, still maybe they wouldn't know unless they went looking. There was time for things to go well and sources to do their job. It had to go smoothly. It needed to. It was a waiting game at this point, and waiting would happen. And he would get out.

Pieces [Solo] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Pieces [Solo]   Pieces [Solo] EmptyMon Jul 31, 2017 12:32 am

The way I used to be...

No.. The way I should be. A solid confirmation afterwards as his thoughts picked at him again. He ran over the same thing numerous times.. All of it ending in the same thoughts. The same thoughts of him saving Aspen from the car, and how he actually used to care... How he thought those times were long gone, but something in his mind telling him that is the way he should be now. He wanted to try.. he gave up a while ago, and went with the easiest route for him, but that was just the easiest why out. Maybe it was the time he spent alone in this cell, but his thoughts seemed to be lecturing him. Even with the lecture he was still somewhat nervous to return back to the school for real.

Even if he had taken out a lot of his issues on AF, and the rest had been sort of worked out when he was alone, and in this cell, he was still very unstable. There was a risk of him hurting someone again, but Adeline was there waiting on him. She would be there for him, and if he did snap she would be there to snap him out of it right? She wasn't going to disappear again right?

Magic hugged his knees closer to himself at the thought of his love disappearing again randomly. He didn't know if he could deal with that, but.. He didn't know, he shouldn't be thinking of this. The former student shook his head somewhat to help clear his head. Gray green eyes looked over to the little purple sheet sitting next to him. Time was almost up. It would be anytime soon that he would be leaving this place with Laine. So far Harley upheld her part of the deal, that piece of paper was confirmation of it. She had managed to get them off his back for now, and he would forever be grateful.

He could still remember clearly how he contacted Laine a while ago with this whole plain, but before it reached Laine he talked to Harley about the plan first to see if it would work at all.. Once she said it had a chance, that was when he sent a message to Laine, to draw up further details about the plan. At least on the Chicago side of things. Laine was the one that arranged the set up for him to get arrested. He was the  one with the tip. Of course while Laine set things up, Magic went and did some talking.

He remembered talking to the reporter, telling her of the story that would come up about him in a few days, and asking her to protect his information as well as she could. While she was happy about the story, she wasn't too happy about this situation but then again she was apart of the gang once so it was only fair that she would do this for him.

Mason sat on the desk, while the reporter sat in her chair at the desk. "Are you really sure you want to go through with this? It's going to be really dangerous for most of them.. and really disheartening for everyone under you." She had said to him while looking at the papers on her desk. Papers she would need to burn later.

Mason let out a sigh. "This is for the best.." His pale green eyes flicked to the floor. "After a while the heat will clear and the danger should be gone. It will give the gang some peace of mind for a while too." He said to his friend.

The reporter remained silent. "I can only help you so much." She said softly. "But I will try my best." Magic nodded in response, thanking her shortly after before leaving her office.

It wasn't easy talking to the reporter. It was hard to get inside, and then even harder to track her down among the business of the station. At first she wasn't keen on doing it because she left the gang life behind, but if it wasn't for the gang encouraging her then she wouldn't have gotten her job. Magic hated taking advantage of something like that but like he said it was for the best.

Then came the conversation with Laine. The two met for a short amount of time before Magic had to take off to talk to Harley. It was when they were finalizing his arrest, and the eventual break out.

"Are you sure about this? Magic had ask when he read over everything Laine had laid out for him. It was detail, and seemed to cover everything but there were still risks, things they couldn't account for no matter what they changed.

Laine let out a small huff. "It's really the only option that works out.." The gang leader had said. "I can't believe you are about to do something this stupid.. Be glad I like you enough to help you do this." He already understood Mason's reasoning for this plan, but it still didn't change the fact that he found this whole plan completely stupid. He would have rather avoided everything instead of sticking himself inside a prison.. but Mason always did things differently, and he would always support his leader, even if he lead the gang himself now.

"And I thank you for doing this. You know I wouldn't ask you to do this unless I had a really good reason too." Magic said to his second in command. "I wish we could chat longer, but I need to finalize one more thing before I get arrested tonight. Though after tonight you know where to find me." Mason said with a small grin on his face, that shortly was replaced by a sad look before the former student turned and left the room.

A smile appeared on the black haired boy's face as he recalled how many time Laine said this was a stupid move, but Laine saw himself that even with the plan being stupid it was the safest one for everyone in the end. The one thing Magic appreciated about Laine was the fact that even if he wasn't the most creative planner, he was able to get most of the risks out of the plans, and make arrangements. Even if their meeting lead to some not so great times, Magic was still thankful for having the blond in his life.

After that all that was left was talking to Harley. She had already agreed to help him out. He knew she didn't support what the AF was doing, but the pay was good, and she couldn't let that go. Especially with her sick father.

The two had met up casually at a small cafe in the city. The made a little small talk before actually getting to what they actually needed to discuss.

"Explain to me how this should work." She had already said her idea before but he didn't quite understand.

She let out a sigh. "This is all that is left." She looked up from her cup to look at him. "Isn't it?" She asked keeping their conversation at a low volume. She received confirmation with his nod. "All I can really do is talk them out of going to get you.. It might be a bit hard but I'm sure I can do it with some convincing. And if they are still persistent I can use a little dimension magic to sway them in the other direction." She said then took a sip of her drink. "This should buy you time for a while, and if they still come after you, by the time they do you should be in the safety of the school." She said.

He didn't really have a better solution to it, so he agreed and they went back to their small talk as they enjoyed the cafe. Intertwining little details into the conversation as they worked. One of those little details was the piece of paper letting him know she got them off his back for a bit.

He didn't know if he should have agreed to her plan, but it was the only option he had. He had to believe in her, and it seemed to have paid off in the end. With him getting the paper Laine should have gotten the message to that it was safest time for gang leader to get his friend. It would be a couple hours from now, when the shift changed happen and their payed of guards were working and could ignore someone leaving the facility. It took a lot of money from the gang, but it wasn't like they couldn't ear it back.

They were all working to help them... Something he didn't really deserve but yet they were doing it. In this selfish world they were showing him a kindness.. It really wanted to make him want to try. To get himself back to the way he should be. And he was going to try, once he got back to Beata.. He was going to fix things, and dare to see things for what they could be. A small sigh of relief seemed to sound from somewhere, he wasn't sure if it was him or if it was someone else, but everything seemed quiet for once. The prison was noisy but here it was quiet. Quiet enough for Magic to take a small nap.

A couple hours later, Magic awoke to the sound of keys jingling, that was steadily coming closer. The stride was a bit different too, it wasn't the sturdy thud of the boots guards wore. Just who was it? His question was soon answered when he looked at the door to see his friend standing there with a grin on his face and keys in his hand.

Magic brightened up, and stood up off his cot, stretching out his stiff muscles in the process. "Took ya long enough."

Laine dropped his smile. "I dunno.. someone stupid came up with a plan that took ages, and I couldn't go against that." A small chuckle followed after the statement returning Laine to is light hearted state from the joke. "Come on, let's get out of here before a commotion starts."

Magic smiled for the first time since the moment with Adeline, his hand rubbing on his opposite wrist unconsciously. As soon as the door was open, he stepped out into the hallway and the two took their leave through a place with little guards. Yeah he was done with prisons for a long time, and wouldn't return again unless he absolutely had to.
