PostSubject: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptyThu Sep 15, 2016 7:59 pm

Magic didn't know why he was here.. Well he knew why he was here, but he didn't know why he accepted this mission in the first place. He was here to get information about the school that he didn't already know, and this was probably a test of his loyalty. He knew as long as no one paid him any mind he would be able to complete the mission but as soon as someone acted aggressively he was supposed to 'defend' himself. Basically kick their butts. He was pretty sure that Barry would notice him instantly and try to destroy him. Probably he was going to have to be careful..

He knew Harley was watching him, she wasn't exactly the best person in the world to get along with but she was better than Parker. While she was a bit snobby and rude she didn't require that much of the new recruit. Well she wasn't ordering him around constantly on some stupid task that he had no choice but to obey. He didn't like following orders, but he needed to gain their trust. Once he did he wouldn't take some stupid orders anymore.

The former student sat and listened for a moment trying to hear if anyone was around he didn't hear anyone at the moment but the wind wasn't exactly help either. After he was satisfied that no one was around him, and jumped down from the tree, and continued his walk through the forest to the school. He couldn't exactly go through the entrance without being notice that well. Here he only had the chance to run into a few people.

PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySat Sep 17, 2016 5:05 pm

Myles hadn't been to the forest in what felt like ages.  He hadn't had the time really, his professors kept handing him hours of bullshit to do at home and he was damn near the line of getting kicked out of his advanced classes.  He took in a deep breath as his large footed steps crackled through the dirt below him.  He jammed his thumbs into his belt loops as he looked around the walls of trees blocking his way surrounding the well trodden path his feet followed.  His blue-gray eyes scanned the wilderness before him as thoughts floated through his head.  He hadn't done much in the last months, barely drank, didn't talk to Kayla much, not too sure what he felt about her lately.  No one else came from his neck of the woods so he was about as outcast as it could get it seemed, no one seemed to like the old farm boy shtick.

He guessed it was life that he'd be sort of excluded, even if he found himself in a rural area it seemed the majority of backgrounds were rich and/or snotty.  He stopped at a fork, deciding to take the less trodden path that seemed to weave and wind towards what could be described as a small clearing a bit larger than the trail itself and much more rounded.  His footsteps were heavy and loud as he had large feet and not much regard for the noise as he was making, for all he knew this clearing was absent of all life.  He looked at his feet a moment as he looked up to the canopy of leaves that had plenty of blue poking through, some sun rays of light running through the various openings.  He stopped in the empty clearing, a small smile on his face as he examined the greenery around him.  It was peaceful.

He zoned out slightly as he pondered why he didn't come to this peaceful place more often, it was certainly something he had been missing...

A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySat Sep 17, 2016 5:47 pm

Magic froze as soon as he heard footsteps, someone was out close to him already? Why didn't he hear them sooner? The former student quickly moved to hide himself once again out of the sight of the approaching student. He for some reason wanted to see who it was. He had a slight hope in his chest that it was someone he was close to so he could see them again, but at the same time that hope wasn't a good thing. He hoped it was someone he didn't know in case Harley changed orders on him, which she was bound to do. She liked to watch others cause havoc for some reason.

As soon as he saw the student he was relieved to hear no change and orders and to see the boy was not someone he knew. The recruit used his gift to muffle his sounds and continue on his way, he managed to get out of sight range of the student when the ear piece he had buzzed to life. "Forget the information, I want to see something fun." Magic froze in his spot before he let out a small sigh.

"Alright. What are we going to do about getting the information though?" He said accepting the order, but he didn't want to deal with the others' rage if he failed to get the information they required.

"I'll worry about it later, first just prove to me this school means nothing to you. I might even give you some free time after this." He heard the lady chuckle before her voice faded from his ear. Well it looks like he had no other choice.

The former student turned back making sure his gift was still hiding the sounds he created as he moved back to the student. Soon enough the beata kid was back in his sight. He didn't really want to do this but he had too. He needed to gain their trust. Magic stood in the kid's blind spot, just observing the boy for a moment. The winter silently apologized to the boy before letting out a painful sound attack.

A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySat Sep 17, 2016 8:17 pm

Myles enjoyed the fresh air, the serene sounds as little critters did their business surviving in the rough and tough world of the outside.  He enjoyed those sounds, trying not to think of the predatory acts that are so often in such ecosystems when suddenly a quite predatory act shattered his right ear drum due to the air pressure.  That wasn't the only thing though, after the intense pop screamed in his ear, deafening him in it he suddenly felt himself lifted off the ground.  He yelped, he wasn't too sure if it was from pain or the fact that he was beginning to fly, his tan hat flying off his head and back with him.  As he began flying to his right, impulse and instinct kicked in, his mostly fresh trained power began to send time to a snail's pace, his mind raced at top speed though.  First thing first he made sure he wasn't about to start cartwheeling and break his neck.  He stabilized himself to the best of his ability, turning his trunk to face the boy, his legs trailing around, knees near his chest.

He let out a quick breath as his flat feet collided with the ground, he took full advantage of his power to push quickly off and tuck and roll across the ground in what seemed like a innate manner.  The entire situation made the large Texan seem a whole lot faster of head and acrobatic then he really was, as the speed of decision making seemed inhuman.  As his brown square toed boots collided with the ground and he slid back about a foot with his knees still slightly bent, crouched slightly.  After a small breath he pushed his palm on the ground.  He looked up at the boy who just blew his eardrum with a cautious look before casually stepping up to replace his tan cowboy hat to his head.  Blood began running from his right ear as he reached into his flannel, keeping a hand on some type of object.

Myles didn't know what to do with this boy yet as he ran his fingers over the object in his flannel.  He bent his head forward slightly as he parted his lips and let in a small breath, wetting his lips before saying

"Ya know, a 'Hi Myles, how are ya?' Is a whole lot more respectful."

He decided to size up this boy at first, maybe it was an accident, maybe he wasn't in complete control.  He decided that this boy wasn't too too big, if worst came to worst he'd just have to knock him out and take him to whoever wanted to see him.  That sound scream was quite fancy though, he might have to ask him about it once he's showed him just how shocking a fight with Myles could be.

PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySat Sep 17, 2016 9:17 pm

"Myles huh?" Magic could feel his fighting instinct taking over, this was going to be fun. "And if you are looking for respectful you aren't going to find it with me." He would have introduced himself but that would have been rather stupid to give away his identity. Maybe he would introduce himself later so that way Myles could tell the school what happened, maybe then they would attack him if he interfered with missions.

His gray green eyes narrowed as the boy didn't make a move. The former student could tell the boy was trying to get a read on him, but unfortunately for Myles, Mason was a lot better at fighting than he seemed. His weapon was tucked away at the moment for he didn't need it but as soon as he did, he was ready to draw it.

He focused his attention back to the student, he couldn't delay an attack any longer. Using his gift to boost his speed he dashed forward aiming a punch towards the kid's gut, ready to send sound waves into the kid's body to cause some series internal damage.

A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySat Sep 17, 2016 11:10 pm

Myles listened to the other boy with a small smirk.  Whoa, scary, cool, he's not respectable.  He looked up and down at the boy as the blood from his ear rolled down his jawline and dripped onto his shirt.  He ground his teeth slightly, his other ear was still ringing and it was slightly hard to focus, but adrenaline began kicking in and he looked intently, waiting for movement...He had no idea what this other guy was capable of.

As soon as he noticed movement, Myles' power kicked in and the boy's superspeed stopped to almost a walking pace.  Myles saw him rearing back for what could only be akin to a super-uppercut.  Myles made the decision to draw his weapon quickly with what seemed to be superhuman speed to the charging boy. The weapon in Myles' hand was an 11-inch Tanto pointed blade made of tempered steel with a matte black finish on the blade and the composite handle wrapped in his fingers was a bright yellow.  This wasn't just any blade though, his hammer grip was unorthodox as his thumb sat on a button where the other part of the hilt and finger-guard should have been.

The actual blade part of his knife lit up light blue as 50,000 volts coursed across it.  Myles raised it towards the other boy's gut from a lower position with his right hand as he adjusted his frontward facing stance to one to the side as his left foot moved back so that the brunt of the boy's punch would miss and he would walk right into 50,000 volts.  Myles did not anticipate for the sound waves though so after his little maneuver to the boy he found himself thrust back into real time and rolling on the ground, his hat flying from his slightly arrogant head again, safely disabling his blade as he rolled across the dirt and grass, stopping about three feet from his original position.

Myles attempted to shake the confusion from his head after the dizziness of rolling and the suddenness of hitting the floor.  He was able to muster enough coherent thought to quickly turn his legs to the possibly stunned boy in case he tried another attack.  Myles sat up slightly, his elbows on the ground and his taser blade still clutched in his right hand.  He kept his knees bent slightly though he kept his gaze to the best of his ability to the boy before him.

So he now knew he didn't even have to touch him to hurt him, what fun.  At least his power was adequately trained beforehand, he didn't even get headaches from extended use anymore!  But he had a fight to win, and this boy was going to fight tough, he'd need every ounce for this one...

A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySun Sep 18, 2016 8:49 pm

He wasn't trying to be scary or cool, he was just being honest. The former student didn't exactly see what was going on, but he heard it unfortunately it was a bit to late to change course though it seemed his gifted protected him from the crackling electricity that danced across the blade, and sent the student tumbling away. The went slide to a halt and backed up away from the student. Whatever this kid had it wasn't something Magic should be taking lightly. He had to be careful..

Mason started thinking of ways he could get close and attack this kid, but then he remembered. He was with Argona's Force, and this wasn't the tournament. He didn't have to make the fight fair. He could cheat if he wanted to. He could keep to a long range and cause some damage first, and weakened him then go in for something a tad more damaging later.

The dark haired boy just glared down Myles with a dull gray green gaze. He didn't even move as the he started his next attack. He just opened his mouth slightly, but a painful screech came out that would surely hurt the ears unless they covered their ears or moved further away from the source. He didn't care at this point if any students in the area where drawn to the sound. If they did show up hopefully it would keep them at a distance, and from interfering.

A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptyMon Sep 19, 2016 5:16 pm

Myles was already back to his feet when the boy back up, still dizzy and dazed he kept his stance at a a good base at the bottom with feet slightly staggered when intense biting pain appeared in his left ear, his burst eardrum beginning to pour just a slight bit more blood.  Myles wasn't about to go deaf completely so he used his power for half a second under impulse, clamping his free left hand up to his ear as he fell to his knees, dazed and confused.  His eyes were slightly unfocused as the balance portion of his ear was caddywompus from the attack, something like shellshock running through his head.

His blue-grey eyes scanned the boy before him as his right hand clutched his blade tight enough to make his knuckles white.  The boy was still a bit blurry as he struggled to keep his lunch, though he kept an expression of loathing, showing as little pain as he could.  He ground his teeth as he stared at the boy before him, if looks could kill that other boy would've been in orbit, sadly that wasn't his gift and he was stuck about as vulnerable as it got.  This was gonna suck...

PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptyWed Sep 21, 2016 10:33 pm

Magic wanted to smirk at the sight. Just after a little bit of sound the boy was already stuck to the ground, blood coming from one of his messed up ears. It seemed though this boy's gift had something to do with speed or something because he was moving pretty quickly. One moment he had no hand on his ear the next he did. The former gang leader made a mental note of that. Getting close was a risk that wasn't worth it at this point it seemed, but at the same time Myles already seemed weak from his previous attacks.

No. He still couldn't risk it. His gray green eyes just stared down the boy returning not the hatred, but a look of uncaring of what happened to the Autumn, or what the autumn was trying to do. The winter closed his mouth cutting off the shrill sound. Deciding to take the risk anyway while the boy appeared weak. Using his gift he propelled forward at a great speed, swinging his leg around to kick the student that sat on the ground.

A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Small Challenge [Semi-Open]   A Small Challenge [Semi-Open] EmptySat Sep 24, 2016 9:17 pm

Myles kept his blue-gray up to the boy's eyes, his hand still clamped on his ear until he noticed the boy's mouth close.  His hand didn't move though as his mind was still a jumble of thoughts and his vision was still fading in and out of blurriness.  His opponent just stared at him as he kept his almost indifferent view to the boy.  He squinted slightly to help his vision clear as his hand fell to his side.  He kept his eyes following the boy as he tried to decide what to do, unsure how weak Myles actually was.  He missed his chance but the boy made the decision anyways.

Movement was sensed and Myles was already ready, even if he was still feigning injury he was completely ready to use his power, even if there was a nagging pain in the back of his head.  Myles saw the boy approach at a walking pace but he held his ground, he couldn't let this kid know he had recovered. Myles saw him rearing up for a superpowered round house and Myles gripped the blade in his hand tightly.  As the kick began it's race towards his face he let his left hand raise, double clicking the button, the voltage coursing through the blade's edge.  He turned his trunk to meet the boy's thigh with the tanto tip of his blade, the blade making it's way through clothes than skin, meeting just short of bone, the 50,000 volts coursing angrily across the yellow edge inside the boy.

Myles misjudged the timing though, the knife may have kept the blow from being lethal but it certainly didn't stop it completely as the top of the boy's shoe met his nose a sickening crunch emitting out as he yelped.  The force quickly dropped him to the ground again as he raised his hands to his now heavily bleeding nose.  Myles' adrenaline didn't let him stop though, he was too far in now and his weapon was now tazing a person from the inside...He needed to be back up.

He quickly placed his hands in the dirt as blood kept pouring from his nose and soaked his flannel a deep red, he shook his head as he breathed heavily to watch the aftermath of his little trick.
