Rahner sat contentedly in the courtyard, breathing in deeply as he glanced at his surroundings. A small lightweight sketchbook in hand, the lax blonde gradually stroked an open page with a dull pencil, staring lazily as the backhanded streaks formed the scene before him. He enjoyed the outdoors - mainly because they were always wider and larger than they appeared to be. He took comfort, even with the knowledge that the school was closed in, that there was always somewhere to go if anything came up (he refused to say 'run', as cowardliness was not in his vocabulary).
The young member of the Autumn House glanced to the side as he heard the sound of bickering, nearly rolling his eyes in mock indignation. If the boy had allergies to ruin his pleasures, why suffer through them? Rahner almost laughed at his stupidity, but refrained. He knew that the Winter House member (as he had seen him somewhere before) would certainly not appreciate it. The thought that he himself was currently friendless crossed his mind. The Autumn girl was familiar to him, though he had never confronted her, and he absently decided that the only way he'd find any way to live through the school year was to 'make friends', as his mother put it. Rahner had been always been a loner (it was safer that way, because not all people could walk through walls unexpectedly and having friends would arouse suspicion in them). Now that his 'gift' was no longer an issue, he had promised his parents that he would at least try to be friendly.
Slinging his small book into his his shoulder bag, Rahner placed his pencil behind his ear, and got to his feet. Turning towards them, the blonde walking lazily in their direction, only stopping once he was a few feet away.
"Hello." he said blankly, seeing as that was the easiest way to start a conversation. Social-awkwardness had always plagued him, but hopefully the other boy would follow up.
