"Kill her," the man whispered vindictively into Maria's ear.

Maria stood in an empty warehouse, with only one option that would determine her fate. In front of her, Freya sat on her knees, battered and bruised all over, her hands chained behind her back. A pistol rested in Maria’s hand as she pointed it at her sister’s head.

"Kill her," he repeated slowly, as if she couldn’t understand English.

"M...Maria," her sister pleaded shakily, blood dripping down her mouth. The girl could barely sit up, and every breathe was a knife being stabbed into her lungs. They'd been through so much shit together, surely Maria wouldn’t kill her, her own sister? Then again, Freya wasn’t going to last much longer anyway, maybe this was just a better way to die than at the hands of the ruthless men that stood nearby. I can finally be with you, Freya thought about Tyler and tears flowed down her face. We'll meet again. Maybe there actually an upside to this. But, what if… she didn't meet up with Tyler? Would she be stuck in a universe without him or without even thinking of him? Every thought of her dead boyfriend may have brought tears to her eyes, but she couldn’t imagine a world without even getting the chance to think of him. No, I can’t die, not by her! Sudden panic overwhelmed her at the thought of dying like this. "Maria!" she yelled. Surely they out a way to escape this place?

She had to live. This... this was the only way to survive, the man had told her so. Freya was a burden, a weak link in the family; she had to be exterminated. Clenching the gun more firmly in her palm, the entranced girl readied herself. He was waiting for her to take the shot, she could practically feel him breathing down her neck. Everything he told me... it has to be true. Maria reminded herself. It was the only way.

"Please," Freya begged, tears flowing down her face.

Putting her finger over the trigger, she stared at her sister with an impassive face. "I’m sorry," with that, Maria pulled the trigger.

"Nooo!"

PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyMon May 23, 2016 9:47 am

Waking up with a jolt, Maria’s head slammed against the top of the taxi. 'Fuck,' she rubbed her head which was now throbbing in pain.

"Back so soon? You were only asleep for twenty minutes," Freya, her sister who was alive and well, looked up from her book. Maria's heart raced and sweat dripped down her face as she looked around, clearly out of it. "Where are we?" She asked Freya in a somewhat demanding, and half panicked tone.

"Uh, in a taxi heading to Florida..." had Maria lost her mind? How could she not even remember where they were?

Trying to calm herself, she took a deep breath. 'Everything is fine, we are in a cab to Florida.' The biggest thing that helped her calm down was that they were safe. 'What the Hell was that?' Maria never had nightmares, so why now?

Looking at her sister who was practically having a panic attack, Freya wondered what was wrong. "Bad dream?" She asked softly, raising a brow and totally guessing at what made Maria freak. Not much made her sister panic, so she was all in for hearing about her dream. That is, if Maria would tell her, which she probably wouldn't.

"Yeah, a dream. Just a dream."

~~~
It had seemed like ages since the wretched flight filled with the stereotypical crying babies and horrible food, and now the sisters had to endure an extremely long drive from Montgomery Alabama to Tallahassee Florida, then to Jacksonville. Afraid to go back to sleep, Maria spent the majority of her time staring out the window, preparing herself for whatever lied ahead. Honestly, she had no idea what to expect, being that they were going to their father's company and unfortunately, she didn't leave her family home on the best terms with her father. Though then again, Maria had never been on good terms with him, but she wasn't going to feel guilty about it. Unlike Freya, she took hold of her life with a firm grasp, never again letting her family be in charge of her. 'How are we expected to stop him?' She wondered what Beata was thinking, sending two girls to someone so powerful and well known. It wasn't like they were just going to waltz in his office and ask nicely for him to stop selling illegal weapons, they needed a plan.
Freya, having been asleep for most of the ride, finally woke up. Rubbing her tired eyes sleepily, she leaned forward, sliding open the little plastic window that separated them from the driver. "How much longer?" She asked, giving her back a stretch from being cramped in the cab.
"About thirty more minutes," the man replied in a very authentic southern accent.
Sitting back, Freya looked to her sister who was still starring out the window. "So, how are you liking visiting your home state?" The blonde asked teasingly, followed by a yawn. She knew for a fact that Maria hated the very idea of this mission, and couldn't wait to see how she'd handle everything. This would certainly be an interesting experience. Her and Maria weren't really on the best terms as of now, but they never really were. Remembering their childhood, it was pretty great to begin with, they used to stick together no matter what, play dress up, then... something happened that ruined their relationship as sisters and as she thought about everything, she couldn't quite pinpoint what exactly changed them.
"I hate it," the older sister replied reluctantly. She knew Freya was just trying to get on her nerves, and she seriously wasn't in the mood for fun and games. It was already bad enough that they had been stuck in a plane and then a car, driving for three plus hours, but they still had a ways to go. To her dismay, she remembered that they didn't even get to rest at a hotel. The sisters were to be dropped off a mile or so away from the main corporation building and walk the rest, and from there, they had to fend for themselves. The building was in the center of a city, one of the tallest skyscrapers, and stood out like a sore thumb, so it wasn't that difficult to find. Not just anyone walking in there, only the elite or invited, thus breaching it would be a challenge in itself. In her eyes, the school was sending her and Freya on a suicide mission, though they could probably care less what happened to the sisters, it's not like anyone cared what happened to them. They were given extra money for a ride back to Tallahassee, but Maria didn't know if she could spend anymore time cramped in a car. Granted, both of them were practically wearing pajamas in their comfortable sporty leggings, comfy shirts, and a light fitting sweater, and sneakers, but that still didn't help the fact that her butt extremely was sore from the old and worn down taxi seat.
Soon enough, the taxi came to stop and Maria practically slapped the cash into his hand. Grabbing their back packs filled with rationed snacks, water, cameras, and notebooks from the trunk, the pair set off through the city. All around them, people continued with their daily lives, completely oblivious to the fact that there was a corporation selling illegal weaponry a few blocks away. The taller girl shared her thoughts for a plan of action with Freya and in no time at all, they stood across the street gazing in awe at the corporation building that towered over them. The main head quarters. Taking a deep breath, she lead the way through an alley, taking the long way towards the back of the building. The huge place was bound to have security cameras at every corner, and they couldn't risk getting caught this early. Besides, the main entrance and lobby were made to look like a normal business to the public, so there was nothing for them that way. Stopping at a corner Maria looked around for any cameras and motioned with her hand for Freya to follow as she silently ran forward across a break in the building and into another alleyway. Part of her was pissed that they didn't get any blueprints, but even she could understand that getting a map for a place this big and protected is impossible. "Well, here goes nothing."
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyTue May 24, 2016 9:04 pm
Fortunately, it was getting dark, for the girls were able to creep around the building easier than during the day. Of course, there were guards protecting the back entrance, and soon enough, a big semi truck drove up to the exit of the gate, probably shipping off more weapons.  Waiting from the alley, they waited till the truck was cleared and drove away, the gate closing slowly behind it, and the guards moving back into place. Both men looked like military men, holding semi automatic guns, thus one wrong move and the whole city would know the Rylen sisters were in town. Looking to Maria who soon gave a nod, both girls requiped a silent tranq gun, aiming them at the guards. Honestly, I would’ve thought a place like this would’ve been more heavily guarded. Freya wondered although she knew the inside was most likely three times as guarded with thugs. Easily shooting the two men, she followed Maria as they crept out of the shadows and ran along the chain link fence towards the closed gate. Did her sister have a plan for opening without sounding an alarm? I hope whatever she has planned works... the blonde though nervously. They could’ve just climbed the fence, except for the fact that it was electrified and topped with a thick lining of barbwire. Looking around while Maria fiddled with the cable box, she gave a sigh of relief. The spot that they chose to infiltrate happened to be one of the less guarded gates and fortunately, her and Maria were masked by the growing darkness. At least we haven’t gotten caught yet, Freya reminded herself gladly, realizing this mission might be easier than she thought.
As if the world wanted to spite her, and earsplitting alarm rang all around them. Covering her ears, she whipped her head around to Maria, who had a pair of wire clippers in her hand and was staring at the electricity box as if she’d clipped the wrong wire on a bomb. "Heh, woops?" the girl said with smile and a shrug. Most likely Maria rushed the process of breaking into a fucking state of the art, ten thousand dollar alarm system, and now they were definitely screwed. Before Freya could yell at her sister for her idiocy, the gate started to slowly open and Maria took off, sprinting towards God knows where. Wait, was she leaving her here alone? Where the Hell did she think she was going? Completely lost and confused, the girl had no choice but to follow her older sister. Well, at least she managed to open the gate, kind of... Slipping through the gate before it closed, she ran towards the direction that she thought she saw Maria run. Hearing angry shouts and the barks of dogs nearby sent her heart racing, and she started panicking. Where was Maria, where was she supposed to go? Running to fast around a corner, she slipped on her own feet, falling backwards on her butt and landing with a thud. Owe, Freya rubbed her back which throbbed in pain. A pair of hands grabbed the girl by her mouth and yanked her backwards and into a little space between a row shipment containers. "H--mmhnmhnn!" Trying to struggle free of the unknown being which held onto her tightly, Freya thought this was the end, the end that came way too soon.
"Ssshhhh!" Maria whispered harshly in her ear, letting go of her little sister.
Trying not to make any noise but regain her bearings, she stepped away from Maria. Freya knew this wasn’t the right time to get in a fight, but she was absolutely furious. "What the Hell! You just left me, I almost lost you!" It was difficult containing her anger and trying to keep quiet, but somehow she managed.
"But you did," the Autumn replied with a smirk and a roll of her eyes.
"On accident!" She couldn’t believe her sister, willing to just abandon her all alone, when she was the one who tripped the alarm?
"Oh stop your whining, we have a mission to do, member?"
Letting out a defeated sigh, she kept quiet. Maria would never learn, would she? She’d always been one to abandon problems and Freya didn’t know why she expected anything more from her. "Fine. Let’s get going before-" Noticing a dazed look on her sister's face, Maria, who was once standing next to her, suddenly dropped to the ground. Not having any time to think about what was happening, something sharp was injected into her shoulder, and before Freya could see what it was, an odd heavy feeling took over her mind, and she fell to the ground unconscious.
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyWed May 25, 2016 12:04 pm
Opening her eyes, Maria awoke on a hard floor, light shining brightly all around her. Her whole head felt heavy and for who knows how long, she had trouble even fully opening her eyes. Not having any time to figure out where she was or what happened, a pair of large hands grabbed her shoulders and sat her upright. Hands bound behind her back, her wrists stung from the tightness of them. Still completely clueless as to where she was, Maria’s vision was starting to become more clear, and was able to make out the shape of Freya, sitting on her knees. Giving a small moan of pain, her looked around. Were they in an… office? Being drugged and taken to some mysterious place, she at least expected some sort of interrogation room, or maybe even a torture chamber, but this was a regular office. Turning her head to Freya, she noticed that the girl was staring at something. "Freya?" She asked, but her sister didn’t budge. What in the world was she gazing at? Looking in the direction of whatever she was staring at, Maria was somewhat scared to find out. A few feet in front of them was a desk and on it had a shiny silver name plate that read: Mr. Rylen
Great, just the person she was hoping to run into, her father.
"Welcome home," their father said, turning his chair around to face them. His face held a warm smile, and he sat behind his desk, legs crossed and arms folded in a formal sort of way. He may have been getting older, but she had to admit, he still looked good for a 50 year old. He wore a formal black suit with a navy blue tie, his hair brushed into a modern hair style. Their father was a tall man, and that's most likely where Maria got her height from. You lying dick. Like you’d ever want us home. Yeah, there was the slightest chance that her father changed his ways, but she knew for a fact that he would never. Not a sick and cruel man like him. To the outside world, he looked like normal, well constructed business man, though anyone who knew him personally knew he wasn’t. His office was huge, on the very top floor of the building, and almost resembled a living room of an average family home. There was a couch and T.V. in the far left corner, a conference table that might as well have been a dinning table, and a little kitchen. Everything was so peaceful and orderly, and Maria wondered if he ever even used this office, for everything looked brand new. Did he like to spoil people before he killed them?
"Wait, are you serious?" Freya asked wearily, her voice still shaky from the drug they were given. Maria would tell that there was a glint of hope in her voice, though she couldn’t understand the reason why. After all the shit this man had put them through, she wanted his acceptance? All the pain, the hate, Maria was having a hard time figuring out why in the world she would want their father back in her life. They may have been sisters, but she would never truly understand Freya. In fact, this was all their father’s fault to begin with; he was the one who changed them, turned them into monsters. They could’ve been a happy family, a normal family, but his selfishness ultimately decided their fate. Not that she didn’t like who she was, but part of her almost wished that she was different. Sadly enough, there was no changing the past or who she was, so all her life she had just accepted it. All the parties, all the fun, all the shit.
"You seriously thought I would just welcome you back home?" He laughed hysterically. "You two are pathetic excuses for daughters, you don't deserve any of my mercy!"  He yelled, slamming his fist on his desk, sending his name plate and some pencils flying through the air. "Get them out of my sight, I’ll deal with them later," their father said, motioning for guards that stood by the door.
"Bastard!" Maria screamed, trying to struggle free as the men grabbed hold of her arms. She wouldn’t let these filthy goons touch her, over her dead body! Using her legs which were still free, she kicked a guy right where it hurt. The man fell to the ground, and one of her hands was now free. Anger bubbled through her veins, but before she could requip, a metal collar was placed around her neck, snapping shut with clank. What the hell? The girl stopped moving around to examine the weird device. "We’re not dogs!" She yelled to her father, disgust burning in her eyes. Holding her hand out and ready to shoot this jerk in the face, she thought about requipping a pistol, but nothing happened. Why... why is my power not working? She suddenly panicked, looking up to the man that stood behind his desk.
"Oh, but you are, and you always will be," he said in a malicious tone, finally moving from his spot  and walking up to Freya. "My dear, dear Freya. What made you follow this... traitor," he practically spat the word out when referring to Maria. "You could have been greatness," their father finished. Turning around to face the wall of windows that lined the office, he waved his hand in a dismissing type of way. The guards apparently knew what this meant and before the girls could fight back, the collar sent electricity ripping through their muscles. The blonde gave a scream of pain, and was the first to go,  passed out into one of the hefty guys' arms. "Fre-" Maria stuttered, falling to the ground and needed to squint in order to see anything, but a punch in the gut plunged her into darkness once more.
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptySat May 28, 2016 2:11 am
Waking up suddenly, the bright light above practically blinded her. Part of her thought, well, hoped that seeing their father was just a dream, but when she was finally able to distinguish her surroundings, it was definitely not a dream. The room they were in seemed to be some sort of old doctors office, but stripped over everything and only the table that Maria and Freya, plus a few little side tables with wheels remained. A torture room maybe? The air was stuffy and stale, and there was a stench coming from somewhere that made her want to puke. There was some worn down machinery in the corner, but all it looked useful for was collecting dust. Trying to sit up, Maria didn’t have much luck, for her neck, hands, and feet were strapped to the table with leather restraints. Shit. The girl’s neck was extremely sore and cold from the metal collar device that they put on her. Something to nullify gifts, she had to admit, it was a pretty cool device, but right now wasn’t eh time to admire their technology. Besides, they probably used these things to capture other gifted people and kill them! Her thoughts were a bit extreme, but they made sense.
Remembering that Freya was with her when they were in the office, she trying to turn her head, though didn’t have much luck. "Freya?" Giving up on trying to look around, she decided to just see if her sister could hear her.
"I’m here," her sister’s bland tone replied, not to far away, and she gave a sigh of relief. Good, they haven’t killed anyone yet. Before she could get anymore hope in her mind, a door to the far side of the room slammed open and a man walked in, two other men following close behind. The two other men stopped at the door, standing by it with their hands in parade rest behind their backs, and the other guy walked up to the two girls. From where she laid, he seemed to be more built than the other two guys, buzz cut hair, tattoos on his biceps and even a golden tooth that was easy to see when he smiled. "Well well, looky here, two victims," he started, walking over to Maria. "And some pretty ones to," the man grabbed her face, looking her in the eyes. "You know, it’s a real shame that Rylen is having us do this to their gals, when we could put them to some better use..." Letting go of Maria, who wasn’t able to move away from him, he walked slowly over to Freya, looking the blonde girl over. Don’t you dare hurt her. "But no matter, we can still have some fun, right?" He said with a grin, leaning down towards Freya who winched at his breath. Motioning with his hand, one of the men hurried over, handing him a towel and a bucket. "Now then, you’re going to be the guinea pig," he said in a crazed tone.
He covered Freya’s face with the towel, holding a bucket filled with who knows what over her head. Looking to Maria, the man gave a devilish smile and without a word, tilted the girl’s head back, pouring the bucket slowly over her face, holding the towel tightly down. Maria watched in horror as her sister thrashed around, desperate and unable to breathe. They know she’s the weaker one, Maria thought to herself. Why else would they be doing it to Freya instead of her? That bastard must have told them. Looking at the men, she wondered if they were just her father’s goons or part of an even bigger organization. Why would these men work for him though? Didn’t they have their own organization? Other than her fear of being next in line for the torture, questions about who the two girls were dealing with raced through her head. "What do you want from us!" She yelled, unable to take anymore of watching Freya struggle.
Turning to Maria, the man’s face still held an evil grin. "We want you and your stupid school to stop spying on us." holding the towel on the student’s head, he took it off. Coughing and gasping for air, Freya was finally free from the towel, her eyes stinging red from whatever chemical was poured onto her. "And trust me when I tell you, the fun has only just begun," he chuckled, ringing out the towel and tossing it onto a table that also held knifes and other dangerously sharp objects. "Don’t go anywhere," the crude man mused, leaving the room and slamming the door behind him.
"Maria," her sister’s voice was feeble and shaky. "I can’t see anything." The girl’s fair blonde hair was soaking wet.They’d barely begun the mission and she already looked absolutely miserable.
This couldn’t be happening, stuck in a torture chamber with absolutely no means of escaping, unless someone came to save the day, which was very unlikely. They were going to die a lame death. Death by father’s goons, just what every 17 year old girl wanted. How long will we last? Maria was never one to admit defeat, but in the midst of something as serious as this, the girl strongly doubted her ability to escape, or even fight back. "Hang in there, we’ll find a way to get out of this, I promise," she replied softly, though they both knew that they were doomed.
Soon enough, the broad shouldered man came back. "Your father has specifically asked me to make your life nothing but a living Hell, so let’s get started!" He exclaimed, smacking his hands together and making a loud clap. Looking and the table where his tools sat, he grabbed a scapple and a bottle of vinegar. Standing at the base of the table, he examined the girl for a second before setting down his things. "Sorry, but you won’t be needing these," with the utmost ease, he ripped off Maria’s leggings and tossed them to the ground, thank God she was wearing spandex. Not really able to move her head up to see anything, all she could do was wait for the pain, or whatever he was planning to do to her. Suddenly, something sharp stabbed her calve and grew even more as he sliced the scapple down her leg, ripping muscle along the way. Blood gushed everywhere on the table and before she could scream, vinegar was poured all over her wound. She hated to show weakness and even though they were just getting started, she let out a scream of pure pain. How was she going to make it through much more of this, when this wasn’t even the worst he would do?
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyThu Jun 02, 2016 12:38 am
Tears fell down Maria’s face as her calve bled out onto the table. She’d felt pain before, but never like wretched stinging sensation. Looking at the man, he still held a satisfied smile. "H-how can you do this?" The girl asked between clenched teeth. Usually if she’d ever lost a spar or even that mission she went on, the pain was so severe, that in the end, she didn’t feel a thing. But this, this was a whole other story. All she felt was her calve, and it was driving her crazy since she wasn’t able to do anything about it but lie strapped down to a table. How the crap were they supposed to get out of this without their powers? The collar that she wore dug into her skin, and swallowing was almost impossible.
"Simple deary, I don’t care," he said with a shrug, walking back to the little table that held his tools. "Not about you or your sister’s well being, I don’t care!" The man yelled somewhat angrily, slamming his fist on the table and sending some tools falling the ground. Anger issues much? The girl wondered why he suddenly got mad, but knew she wouldn’t get an answer even if she was stupid enough to ask. Walking slowly back to the table, he pulled out a pocket knife and placed it against the girl’s throat, and gracefully ripping it through her shirt, pulling it off and tossing it to the ground so the girl laid on the table with only a bra and spandex. In a club, she wouldn’t have minded at all if someone wanted her to strip for ‘em, but here, in a basement with strange men… she felt extremely and uncomfortable. She couldn’t even hide in a corner, all she could do was stay spread out awkwardly on the cold metal, waiting for her demise. Besides, she didn’t have her power and wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, these psychos could easily do things to the fair skinned girl with ease.
Turning back to the small table, the man took his time fiddling with his tools, so Maria was left to listen to the soft drip of her blood onto the floor. It might as well have been chinese torture, for the rhythm of blood splattering of the floor in almost complete silence started to get on her nerves. Finally after what seemed like ages, the man turned around to face Maria, holding some sorted of taser looking device with wires connect to it. Having very limited vision with her neck strapped to the table, she could barely see what the man had chosen as the next torture device and just the thought of all the possibilites was torture.
Being that she didn’t have pants on anymore and only spandex that were basically short shorts, the girl was surprised when he wrapped a band-like thing around each thigh, a cold piece of metal on the top. What the... the Autumn wondered as he strapped on two more pieces of cold metal to her biceps, and two just above her bra, sending a chill up her spine. It was already bad enough that this place was freezing cold, but now she had no pants and was lying on a metal table. Just great. For the next few minutes of the guy setting up his device, Maria and Freya sat in earsplitting silence. The only noises in the room consisted of breathing, dripping blood, and the sounds of packaging machinery at work; most likely the machinery they used to pack the illegal weapons. The weapons that we should be stopping from getting shipped off, Maria thought hopelessly to herself, though before any more gloomy thoughts could rise to her thoughts, a small shock was sent through whatever was attached to her body. "Ow!"
Startled, she didn’t know what in the work that was. Soon enough, electricity coursed through Maria’s body angrily; trapping her in bright citron jail, there was so much pain, so much that at first, her skin tickled, but it soon turned into a burning feeling and the blood in her veins felt like it was boiling. Her head felt inundated with agonizing soreness, it wanted to explode. Not really able to process what was going on or speak, the girl violently convulsed as much as her restraints allowed her to, until it came to a stop. Breathing heavily, Maria’s whole body shook half from pain, half from fear. The man mumbled something about her not screaming, though she could barely hear anything. The girl was extremely grateful for whatever time she wasn’t being electrocuted, though unfortunately, her rest break didn’t last long, for the electrocution continued. Most of the time, Maria wasn’t able to hear or see anything except a bright light and a wretched screaming noise, but once the man got impatient and turned the voltage up higher, everything was clear now. She was going to die, right here on this table in a basement, she was going to die!
Letting out a much awaited scream of shock and pain, she thought she felt burn marks on her skin, although she couldn’t tell. It was too much, her body was losing life and as the girl’s nose started to bleed, the man yelled something to the other guards and the three of them ran around the room, scrambling to find the alternate power switch. Finally turning the contraption off, the trio looked to Maria in complete fear; did they kill Mr. Rylen’s daughter so soon? Blood emitting from her nose and mouth, Maria laid unconscious on the table, still connected with wires. "Oh shit, ooohhh shit," the lead man mumbled, instructing the other two to stand back by the door. Taking everything off the motionless girl, the guy scramble to find a pulse.
Letting out a sigh of relief, he looked to the guards with his usual up to no good smile. "See, what’d I tell ya, this is one tough cookie," he laughed, half hysterical from the scare. Well, he’d just have to move on the to the other sister while this one recovered. Taking out his pocket knife once more, he walked to Freya and stood by her table in which she was strapped onto. "Oh you poor unfortunate soul," he mused, running his hand along her smooth skinned face. "Such beautiful perplections," just like he did with Maria, he ripped Freya’s shirt and pants off.
That’s it, she was fed up with his games. "You pervert!" The blonde spat, managing to launch a good ball of spit onto his face. First Maria, now her? The odds may have been against her, but she wouldn’t, no couldn’t allow it.
Wiping spit off his face the man tightened his grip around the sharp pocket knife and held Freya’s face tightly between the palm of his large hand, staring her in the eyes with a rage filled glare. "Too bad I was never one to fall for the pretty girls," before Freya could protest, he raised the hand that held the pocket knife and brought it down full force, completely impaling the girl’s eye. Shocked and not expecting when he did, the blonde screamed bloody murder. Part of her was unable to believe that this man would do something like that, and the pain soon set in. Giving a single laugh, the man twisted his knife, and pulled it slowly out her eye socket, bringing some of her eye out with it. Screaming and crying in agony, not able to bring her hands up to at least hold her eyeless eye, tears mixed with blood streamed down her face, sloshing down to ground in a very disgusting and gory way, staining her blonde hair red along the way. Without even a hint of mercy or remorse, the man wiped his knife off with his shirt, letting the deformed eye fall to the ground. "By the way, you can call me Azazel," he said in a nonchalant tone, walking back to his table of tools, not that Freya could hear him over her screams of pain.
An important note to all; never spit in a psychopath's face.
Wanting to see the girl in complete and inhuman agony, Azael waited a few minutes, letting Freya’s cries die down till they were no more than whimpers here and there. Honestly, she felt as if her tears and the bleeding would never stop, and her head felt as if it was about to burst open. The place where her eye used to sit, burned like Hell and not being able to stop the blood flow drove her crazy. "You’re a bastard! You hear me?" she yelled, struggling to turn her head, only to see Maria unconscious on the table. She wasn’t dead, was she? Freya couldn’t believe that Maria was defeated so easily and turning her head so she looked at the ceiling, the man grabbed her cheeks again and forced her to look at her sister again.
"Take a good last look at your sissy cause she’ll be the last thing you see," Azael said slyly, pulling her head up so he could get a good look at her eye. What does that mean? Freya thought to herself, confused and scared for what was to come. Giving a hysterical laugh, his hand moved slowly toward her eye, and Freya immediately knew what he was doing.
"N-no! S-s-stop! No!"
Digging his index finger into the socket where her eye rested, he followed the edge of her skin, his finger getting caught on skin along the way. Although Freya yelled in anger and fear, he didn’t stop. Finally reaching the bottom of the eye, he plucked it out with ease, creating a small popping sound. Holding her right eye between his index finger and thumb, he pulled till the optic nerve snapped. Ignoring the girl’s shrieks of shock and agony, he examined the slippery orb. "Well, guess you won’t be needing this anymore," Azael squished her eye in the palm of his hand, creating a thick, slushy sound and letting it fall to  the ground, wiping the remains of the slimy liquid and blood onto his pants. In a mix of crying and screaming, the blind girl didn’t even know what to do besides panic. "I- I can’t- I can’t see!" She stuttered then yelled, her salty tears creating a puddle of stinging liquid inside the eye sockets, sloshing around with the ripped pieces of flesh when ever she moved her head.
The ruthless man picked up a syringe with a small needle from the table and made his way back to the crying girl. "Shut up. They were only eyes, you don’t need them anyway," he said in an annoyed tone, injecting the needle into the girl’s arm.
J-just eyes? Freya’s mind spun in circles and she couldn’t figure out if it was from the loss of blood or the shot, but either way, her heart felt like it was going to pound out of her chest from panicking and she hoped this was just some big, horrible nightmare. Before long, her mind went blank, and the eyeless girl laid unconscious on the table, traumatized for life.
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptySat Jun 04, 2016 11:05 am
A splitting pain in her head woke Freya, and sitting up, the girl was extremely disoriented. Not able to see anything, she put her hands in front of her and felt around, accidentally smashing her knuckles against a brick wall. Shit, why is it so dark? Feeling around some more, Freya’s breathing soon started to rapidly speed up as she remembered what happened and realized this wasn’t a dream. Slowly bringing her hands up to her face, she felt where her eyes had once been but were now covered in some sort of cloth. "M-m-my e-eyes," she mumbled, leaning against the cold wall. "My eyes, where are my eyes?" The girl repeated, barely audible and trembling, panicking the more she thought about her face. "Where are my eyes!" She screamed into the stale air and started sobbing, slowly lying down on the floor and wrapping her arms around her knees.
She… she had no eyes, they were taken from her in a matter of seconds. She couldn’t see anything, only darkness, and the feeling of not even knowing where she was made everything a hundred times worse. The girl would never see daylight again, never read books, nothing. Only darkness. From what she could gathering in between panicking and not seeing anything, she seemed to be be in a room of cement, nothing but cold, hard cement. For what seemed like hours, Freya laid in an unknown place with no eyes, and still half drugged. Her head wouldn’t stop spinning, and at this point, her face felt like it was on fire. The Winter never completely stopped crying, for her head practically laid in a puddle of blood and tears. Being blind, and having drugs in her system, sometimes she wondered if she lost consciousness, though it was always hard to tell.
"Freya!" Maria’s voice overtook the deafening silence. She’s alive? Turning her head towards the sound of her sister’s voice, it seemed as though her sister wasn’t very far away. "Finally awake? You’ve been out for a couple hours," The Autumn sat against a row of thick steel bars that separated her from Freya, her sister’s panic attack freaked her out enough that she was seriously worried.
Sitting up, Freya took a painful breath, almost glad she wasn’t able to see. Wherever they were, it smelt of mold and dust something that she disliked very much. When no one spoke, everything was quiet, so quiet that even the spiders spinning their webs in the corners could be heard. "Where are we?" she asked softly, her hand still trembling.
"Some sort of basement jail cell, we are separated by bars, and there are only a few other cells around us," Maria explained to the best of her ability, although the burns from the electricity made it hard to focus. She was still recovering from Azael’s torture or whatever in the Hell that was back there, and being in the place made her bones ache.
Before anything else could be said, two men with the stench of beer on their lips stood in front of Freya’s cell, unlocking it with a pair of keys. Dropping the keys clumsily by the door, they walked to the back of the cell, and one of the men that held a beer bottle held down the girl’s hands over her head while the other guy beat her up in every way possible. Over their drunk laughter, Freya could hear Maria’s yells of protest, but she didn’t have the strength to get up. I’m going to die soon anyway. At one point, one of the guys got really excited and smashed the bottle against her ribs, sending glass shards into her skin and flying around the cell. They probably would’ve kept messing around with the already weak girl if the someone else didn’t come in. With a single shout, a tall man stood at the entrance to the cell and shot both men through the head. Blood splattered everywhere and they flopped down dead onto Freya, who was half conscious.
This was her chance! While the man went to get the bodies, Maria quietly crawled over to the front of her cell, squeezing her arm through the bars, and reaching for the keys. Just a little bit farther… Unfortunately, the guard was way too observant and walked over to where the girl was trying to get the keys. Before she had time to retract her hand, he stepped on her arm with his huge shoe, bending in a weird way and making a large cracking sound. Maria yelled in pain as the man got off her arm and picked up the keys. With that, he grabbed one arm of each guy and dragged them away, never to be seen again.
Oh God, it hurt so much. Holding her arm as if she were cradling a baby, tears fell down the girl’s face, looking at her slightly disfigured arm. That’s definitely not normal... Wincing at the pain from when she moved her arm even the slightest bit, she moved to her original spot by the back of the cell, farthest away from the entrance to the cell. "Freya?" she said softly, and gave a relieved sigh as her sister stirred. Seeing her younger sister like this… it was painful to even watch and she had to do something; they had to get out of here before they both died. Shakily standing up, Maria gathered her strength and ran towards the entrance of her cell, ramming her shoulder into it and sending the metal vibrating. "We, will, get, out, of this!" Each word she spoke was muffled with the sound of her banging into the entrance, and before long her entire shoulder was numb and bruised, possibly even dislocated.
Stepping back for another try, Maria stopped when she heard a soft weezing sound. "Stop," still laying on the ground, every sound was torture and Maria slamming into the metal bars wasn’t helping.
"W-what?" she said with a small smile, almost not believing that her sister would want her to stop trying to get out of this place.
"We’re not getting out of here, just stop," there was honestly nothing they could do, there was no chance of escape.
"You can’t be serious?"
"I’m serious, stop!" With the pain she was in, Freya wasn’t up for arguing, and with glass shards jabbed into her side, every inch she moved sent the glass deeper and deeper into her skin, and she assumed that there were a couple broken ribs. Starring to hyperventilate again from thinking about her eyes and the situation they were in, Freya’s breathing quickened and soon came in short, fast bursts, half suffocating the girl. Not able to get any air to her lungs, she slumped against the wall, panicking even more.
Not really sure what was happening, Maria watched her sister struggle for air. "Hey! Calm down!" was all she could really say, and couldn’t help her even if she wanted to. What’s going on with her? Nothing like this had ever happened before, and she wondered why it suddenly happened. Did she freak out or something? For ten minutes or so, the girl’s random outburst of rapid breathing continued until it slowed to a stop.
"We’re not getting out of here, we are going to die alone, and… and… I’ll never get to think of Tyler again! " Breaking down into tears, Freya cupped her hands around her bandaged face, and continued to cry. Tyler… such a wonderful guy. He’d been their for her when she needed him most, and was the one person in the world who truly understood and appreciated her. But not all wonderful things in life lasted very long, and now he was dead, because of her. Because she chose herself over him. "I’m so selfish! Selfish! Selfish! Selfish!" She cried, slamming her fist against the ground. "I mean, I killed him, right? Tyler… oh God, I took him for granted and now he’s gone!" When he’d died, of course she’d been devastated, but now everything was coming back to realization to punch her in the gut.
First Freya’s panic attack, and now she sat in a cell listening to her sister cry over her dead boyfriend, it was all so over stimulating. Clenching her fist, she knew she couldn’t say anything, but it seemed like the whole world was spinning, and all she could do was sit there. "Shutup!" She yelled, unable to take anymore of Freya’s crying. "Yeah, you killed him, so what?" Yeah, it may have been a boyfriend, Maria had killed plenty of people, so what was one guy? Besides, it’s not like they were going to get married or anything, right?
Freya could barely believe her sister’s bitchy attitude right now. They were about to die, and her sister couldn’t show a drop of remorse? Truthfully, she wasn’t asking much, but the fact that she thought that she could even trust Maria blew her away. The panic that once consumed the blind girl was soon replaced by pure anger and hatred. "You act like it’s no big deal, but you know nothing!" She yelled as loud as her hoarse voice would let her.
"Oh yeah? Like what! It’s not like you had a fucking kid with him!" As soon she spoke those words, she saw Freya wince at her statement. She couldn’t have… could she? How? When? Why? Questions raced through her head as she thought about her sister pregnant with Tyler’s kid. "Wait, no... " she stuttered, hoping that she just happened to guess a question that made Freya uncomfortable.
It was all too much, and the injured girl couldn’t taking it anymore. She’d made the mistake of giving away her biggest secret, one that Maria just so happened to guess. Her past had caught up with her, and now her sister wanted answers. Feeling light headed from all her injuries, her thoughts suddenly all mushed together. Not completely knowing if she was unconscious yet, her head flopped over her shoulders and the girl fell to the ground from where she sat.
"Hey! Answer me! Freya!" Maria raged through the bars, confused on so many levels and demanding an answer. This was a huge cliffhanger, she couldn’t just not know what happened!
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptySat Jun 04, 2016 11:09 am
For a month or so after they’d arrived, the torture continued. The sisters got little to no food or water, no clean clothes, or comfort. Maria was definitely not someone who enjoyed spending time with her sister, but she would’ve given anything to be in the same cell as Freya. Just the reassurance that they still had each other would’ve been amazing, and that was saying something, considering they hated each other. Men came at random times to take them back to the dreaded and never forgotten chamber, and sometimes Maria wondered if her or her sister would ever return. Of course they didn’t have the privilege of dying, for their father gave strict orders to keep them alive and suffering, though in the end, she desperately wished that they would just kill her already. Even sleep sounded nice, though she feared that if she fell asleep, she’d stay asleep; the bad type of sleep.
In the cells where they sat in their own misery, sunlight ceased to exist, which wasn’t a very great beacon of hope. If only they had their powers. Many times the Autumn had tried to requip, praying to whomever might hear her, that the collar would be broken, but after dozens of disappointments, the usually determined girl gave up. It was no use, they would never get out, this place would probably be the last thing they’d ever see. Maria never got the answers from Freya, and she’d gone through about a hundred scenarios of how it happened.
Both girls were battered and bruised from Azael’s little "games", barely able to breathe or walk. Looking through the steel bars that separated her from Freya, she could tell that her sister was hanging on by a thread. Drugged, bleeding to death, and mentally broken, Freya never moved or showed any signs of life as she sat slumped against the cell wall. After a while, an overwhelming stench of rotting flesh, feces, and desolation emitted from the Winter’s cell and wanted to make Maria vomit. The girl’s once beautiful, soft, blonde hair was tangled and stained red from blood, her head hung low, and for a second, Maria thought she’d stopped breathing. Her missing eyes never completely stopped bleeding, and whatever bandage that used to be wrapped around her head slowly fell off, currently laying on the bloody floor around the girl. Now, the empty, bloody sockets invited hungry flies to buzz around her face, snacking on the dead skin that hung around the sockets. Looking closely, Maria thought she saw maggots crawling around in the little cave of flesh and that was enough to send her stomach turning.
Leaning over, the girl puked whatever she had left in her stomach onto the ground. The fact that her sister didn’t even have the strength to swat at the flies was extremely hard to contemplate, and Maria forced herself to turn away from Freya’s cell, trying to think of less gory things. Freya had taken most of the damage, physically and mentally, and being the weaker of the two, it was too much for the girl to handle. How is she even alive? Every day that past and night that Maria laid on the cold, hard cement, her sister’s breathing got more and more unsteady, and would sometimes make pitiful whining sounds, almost like a silent cry for help.
Of the sister’s time in the building basement, there was only one other unfortunate victim that ever joined them; a thirteen year old boy. He was a cute little thing with his brown hair, big blue eyes, and voice that hadn’t hit puberty yet. He was kept in a cell across from Maria, occupying the girl with the story of how him and his friends were playing an innocent game of truth or dare and how he was impulsive and chose a dare. The kid left out some details, but whatever the dare was, it was enough to get him in trouble and sent down to Hell. Sadly, his stay didn’t last very long, for soon after he was locked up, a guard soon came back, opening the door of the cell. Grabbing the boy’s shrimpy arm, he ordered him to face the wall and noticing a gun holstered to the man’s belt, Maria then knew what was about to happen. They can’t be serious? Shocked that even her father would order the guard to do something like this, she wanted to do something, but with the state she was in, the girl stayed silent.
"Hey mister, can I go home now? My ma' is probably worried sick," the kid chuckled standing against the wall, completely oblivious.
"Yeah, of course you can, right after we test somethin'," With that, the boy was shot on the spot, apparently knowing too much about this place. Wanting to throw up once more, Maria pressed herself against the back wall of the cell, petrified from fear as she watched the man carry the small lifeless corpse out of the room and most likely to the dump. Shrinking to the corner, the once unbreakable girl felt utterly alone and helpless. For a while, her soft sobs filled the air till something inside her snapped and she realized what she had to do; find death. Maria couldn’t take it anymore, and if Azazel wouldn’t kill her, she’d do it herself. Besides, Freya was almost dead and without her, she’d have nothing left. No family, nothing. All her life, death seemed to follow at her heels, but maybe… just maybe, death wasn’t always a bad thing, but instead something to save her from this miserable world.
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyMon Jun 13, 2016 2:44 pm
Find death, find death, her thoughts repeated as she looked around the cell. At this point, anything would be appreciated. Unfortunately, these people were prepared and knew she might try something like this, for other than herself, there was nothing. Tears falling down her face, she kept herself from letting out an angry scream, and sat back against the cold, musty wall. There had to be something! Desperate, an idea finally hit her. It would be painful, but she had no other choice. I’m sorry Freya, you’ll see me soon. Backing up a few inches from the wall, she turned around and faced the dark cement. Before she could change her mind about her decision, Maria smashed her head against the wall as hard as she could. Everything around her rang, and her forehead felt like it was on fire. Blood trickled down her head and into her eye, making the girl squint. Just a bit more, bringing her head towards the wall, a pair of hands cushioned her landing and shoved her back with a strong force. Lying down on the ground, Maria stared at the ceiling. It didn’t work, that was supposed to be her end, her savior from this place! Tears streamed down her bloody face as two men lifted her up by the arms and dragged her out of her cell and back to the pits of Hell.
Strapped down to the cold metal table once more, Maria was silent. Azael walked over to the table, a concerned smile across his smug face. "I heard that you tried to kill yourself," he said, moving Maria’s hair away from her forehead so he could assess the damage. "Good thing my men found you when they did, or we’d all be dead," he chuckled hysterically, afraid of the consequences that would be bestowed upon him in Mr. Rylen’s daughters died. Usually, Maria would snap back at the man, but she had nothing more. Her throat was dry and parched, and even if she did say something, it would most likely end with more pain. Trying to satisfy an itch on her leg, wretched pain shot up her calve, reminding her of her injury. I’d completely forgotten about that with everything else, the blood that used to trickled down down her leg from the first night was dry and crusted, and the area around her wound was a yellow-ish color. That can’t be good... The girl’s collar shocked her and when it finished, Maria laid on the table, breathing heavily once more.
"Looks as if someone is all tuckered out, am I being too tough on you?" he said in a mocking sad voice, making his lip quiver and giving puppy eyes. "Well too bad, I have something special planned for you today," motioning with his hand for one of the men to open the door, a tall, skinny man that looked to be in his 20’s walked in, a cigarette stuck between his lips. He was tall and extremely skinny, a pott head no doubt, with dark eyeliner, black nails, and a dragon tattoo running all the way up one of his arms. The way this guy walked was slow and creepy, and when he reached the table where Maria laid, he simply looked down at her with his bloodshot eyes. "This is Simon, he will be helping me out today because I have more important matters to attend too. Have fun!" With that, Azael slipped out the door and slammed it shut, leaving Maria, Simon, and two bulky guards alone in the room.
The goth looking guy took the cigarette out of his mouth and breathed a puff of smoke, which by now was poisoning the air and making it extremely hard to breathe. No words were spoken as he made his way around the table and looked down at the girl. For some reason he thought it was be hilarious to inflict pain on her, and as if she was an ashtray, he stuck his cigarette butt onto her cheek, and rubbed it in, leaving a black mark and burnt skin, and stood behind her with a crooked smile. Choking from the horrible stench, Maria endured to pain, wondering what this guy was planning next. Oddly enough, Simon simply placed his hands on the sides of her skull, and the girl’s world soon went pitch dark.
~~~

Waking up slowly, Maria sat up and looked around. Where the hell am I? It looked as if she was in a huge warehouse, the whole place was empty, not a truck of shipment box in sight. Hearing a sigh, she turned around to see Simon and someone familiar sitting beside him a few feet away from her. Freya? The blonde looked normal, with eyes and not a cut or bruise in sight. The girl’s hands were tied behind her back and her head hung low. Even her gift negating collar was gone, which felt extremely great not having the weird weight on her neck. Was that all just a dream? Why was she hear and how in the world was Simon here with them? Standing up, she looked to Simon, who was now making his way over to the hallucinated girl. "I can help you escape," he said in a whispy voice, and Maria wondered what he meant. They seemed to be perfectly fine, except the fact that Freya was tied up.

"What do you mean?" she demanded, looking into the dull eyes of the man standing in front of her. Instantly, all the pain that she endured in the real world came crashing down onto her, and Maria fell to the ground in pain, tears forming in her eyes. "Make it stop!" she cried, everything on fire from pain.

Picking her up by an arm, Simon forced Maria to stand up. "I said I could help you, do you not believe me? I can save you from all this misery, give you a better life," he whispered into her ear. "But in order for me to do so, I need you to help me with something," his voice was so calm and relaxed, at this point, the desperate girl didn’t even care who he was, anything he said must be true. "What do I need to do?" She said shakily, giving a sniff from her tears.

"Kill her," the man whispered vindictively into Maria's ear.

Maria stood in an empty warehouse, with only one option that would determine her fate. In front of her, Freya sat on her knees, battered and bruised all over, her hands chained behind her back. She… was supposed to kill Freya? How could she do that? The two of them had never been on the best terms, but to just kill her right here, right now?

"Kill her," he repeated slowly, as if she couldn’t understand English.

"M...Maria," her sister pleaded shakily, blood dripping down her mouth. Apparently the pain Simon put back onto her, he also gave back to Freya, who looked so pitiful with no eyes.

Noticing that Maria had gotten too much time to think about what he’d said, Simon continued his little speech. "She is weak, she is nothing more than a burden. Think about your father, don’t you agree with what he said about her? You could be his favorite, you could finally gain his respect and love," Simon said softly, looking from Maria to the girl that sat on the floor. A gun appeared in the disillusioned girl’s hand, and Simon gave a crooked smile. By now, the girl was desperate to be free from her agony, thus he knew he’d captured her trust and was confident that she would listen to his uncanny reasoning. Besides, he was good at this sort of thing, that’s why Azael hired him.

"Maria!" Freya yelled in a panicked tone, looking from her sister to the man.

Maria had to live. This... this was the only way to survive, the man had told her so. Of course she wanted her father’s acceptance, she always had! Freya was a burden, a weak link in the family; she had to be exterminated. Raising the pistol so it pointed at her sister’s forehead, her hand wasn’t very steady. Clenching the gun more firmly in her palm, the entranced girl readied herself. He was waiting for her to take the shot, she could practically feel him breathing down her neck. 'Everything he told me... it has to be true.' Maria reminded herself. It was the only way.

"Please," Freya begged, tears flowing down her face.

Putting her finger over the trigger, she stared at her sister with an impassive face. "I’m sorry," with that, Maria pulled the trigger.

"Nooo!"

~~~
Awaking suddenly, Maria tried to get up but the table restraints held her back and she coughed from the leather on her neck pulling her back down. Simon stood behind her and walked around so he stood next to her. Unlike whatever just happened, he didn’t speak a word, and simply walked to the door, leaving like he never existed. What was that all about? Breathing unsteadily, a horrible feeling of fear consumed her and she remembered what had just happened. But how was she here, back in the torture room, pain and all. That guy, Simon… he’d lied to here, he flat out lied! That bastard! Maria didn’t feel any better than before and trying to remember where she’d magically transported to, it hit her how stupid she was. I chose my father’s false love and a better life over my sister. Even if that dream was real, she doubted that her dad would ever appreciate her, and even if he did, what would she gain? It’s not like he was going to make her his right hand, or have different feelings for her, and thinking about it, she realized that in the end, everything she desired was pointless. Wanting acceptance, wanting love, someone to share her life with, it was all just a fantasy, false hope that she could never achieve. No one could ever love a monster like her, not her father, Freya, or even Connor. Connor… what a nice guy. Someone who was actually there for her, someone whom she could talk to, a guy that she’d taken for granted. Honestly, Maria didn’t exactly know what true love was, so dealing with her feelings for someone was extremely difficult for the girl. Besides, did he truly love her or was he just acting nice? Maybe it was for the best that she didn’t walk the road of love, or she might end up like her sister, a depressed, broken, being, accepting her fate and just waiting for her demise.
Wait, where was Freya? The last time she saw her sister was when she… killed her. Although Maria was pretty sure what just happened was only a hallucination of some sort, she started to freak out, hoping that what she’d done didn’t carry over to the real world. "Hey! Where’s my sister!" She yelled in a raspy voice to the two guards that stood by the door. One of the guys took a phone out of his pocket and mumbled something into the device before making his way over to Maria. The other guy followed close behind and they unstrapped her, holding the girl by her arms and dragging her back to the cell. In the short time that they escorted her from one room to another, every step that she walked or was half dragged, she itched to see her sister. It was the worst feeling, wondering if her sibling was dead because of a shitty choice, and when they pushed her into the cell, she scrambled to the bars that separated her from Freya. The blonde laid on her side against to the cement wall, a pool of blood under her mouth and motionless, yet the soft sound of raspy breathing filled the silent air.
She wasn’t in very good shape, but none the less, Maria let out a sigh of relief, and painfully scooted herself so she sat against the wall, wincing at every inch of movement. When they first got here, she had faith that they’d get out, but now, her faith was diminishing little by little. We aren’t getting out of here, but at least we have each other. Even if they died in this place, she wouldn’t die alone, and that helped Maria accept her fate.
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyTue Jun 14, 2016 1:48 pm
City lights polluted the air, shining harshly throughout the entire vicinity and blocking out the natural light of the stars that encrusted the pitch black of the night sky. Pillars of effulgence were the focal point of the place, sticking out like a lighthouse sitting at the edge of a cliff on an unknown and mysterious beach where waves smash endlessly onto its side in an unchanging tempo. Even this late at night when the crescent moon was dangling in the air, replacing the golden disk of the sun, the darkness could only succumb to the glares that the skyscrapers gave them and shrink back from their inability to resist. There were very few people below and moving about, only a number of stragglers here and there, and most of all, some police members and guards roaming about to protect the city. He was certain there was a gang operating throughout the dark alleyways, but they were never caught.
Being in places with narrow pathways that seemed to circulate around over and over again in a maze that never ended should be commonplace by now. Living in the urban areas for a few years should mean that it should be something he was accustomed to. Unfortunately, it seemed as though that weren't the case. Everything still came off as surreal, almost as though it were impossible for a place so big to actually exist. A country boy at heart, he was sure. If he were able to breath and could the beat of his own heart now, perhaps he would feel a bit of unrest and uncertainty being chosen for this task. But he wasn't. He was picked for the sole reason of being dead.
Infiltrate corporate buildings, figure out the best escape routes, find the easiest ways to bring out the hostages without fail. The Rylen's corporate building was very similar to the Kresnik's, his former home. Similar in structure and layout, and ironically enough, they both specialized in the same industry - creating weapons. It hadn't taken him long, within the week that they had been around thus far, to draw out a map of the interior. Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and he managed to explore every single floor. That didn't mean he found the prisoners trapped inside.
It was pure luck that, only two or three days ago, that a guard had lead him to the basement entrance where he watched them shoot a helpless child who was only playing around. Not that it mattered to him. Children made dumb decisions and didn't ever try to think twice about what they were doing. By chance, following the sentry down had led him to actually discover where the sisters were being held. He saw them with his own crimson and blank eyes.
And tonight was the night they were supposed to break the girls out. Hieta leaned forward slightly, arms seemingly resting on the edge of the balcony and staring out towards the skyscraper once more. A bag was by his feet, containing the cartogram and a few other obscure items, one including a watch with a timer. They had one shot at this and that was it. If they failed, they failed. If they succeeded, they succeeded. There was no in-between or loopholes or anything else.
To be frankly honest with himself, he personally didn't care about whether they managed to get this accomplished or not. He held no sentiments for the tortured victims - he didn't know them, he didn't care for them, he hadn't even met them before all of this. In his career as a prefect, their names had come up on multiple occasions, Maria being the one who seemed to cause the most trouble on various circumstances while Freya had met Leo on a few instances or less. There were a few times he spied on them, to try and get a decent grasp at what sort of people they were, but that didn't matter much. He did know that Maria was the Gossip Girl that his sister hated oh-so-much, though that wasn't really of his concern. It wasn't like Nicola had asked him to help her hunt the academy's gossiper and stalker, anyway. Most likely hadn't occurred to her yet. It would happen eventually.
As for his partner in all of this...
Jake Baxter, local hot-shot of the school. Mechanical transformation was his gift, meaning he could turn various parts of his body into tools and a few other things that could be useful. His power was purely utilitarian. There was nothing necessarily flashy about it or anything completely amazing. This could serve a good purpose on a mission such as this. They had a few conversations with one another in the hotel, but they had worked their separate parts for the time-being. Hieta spent most of his time navigating the building while Jake was figuring other things out. Late at night, they would discuss plans here and there, but outside of that, they didn't actually socialize. He didn't care all that much about getting to know the other boy, anyway. It was unlikely that they would see each other much after this. Very unlikely.
Actually, either way, Jake couldn't really see him. Only hear him. There was a few occasions where he remembered the other boy walking right through him, but that didn't really matter. Not a sensation or anything that affected him on his side. Tonight, however, would be different. They weren't going to be able to get in and out if he didn't actually use his gift and doing so gave him a physical and corporeal form. He practiced a few times in the forest ever so often, but he would have to maintain this shape for a much longer time than usual. He wouldn't get exhausted, but it did drain him in a few ways. They had a time-limit to get this done. The faster they moved, the safer everyone stayed.
He shut his eyes briefly, steepling his fingers in front of him. "Are you finished with your preparations now?" If he had to estimate from the moon's current position in the sky, Hieta would wager that it was starting to reach the time to begin their operation. "We cannot waste anymore time if you want to save them."
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyTue Jun 21, 2016 8:27 pm
Sitting on the balcony of their hotel room, Jake shuffled through a stack of papers. It had been a long week, and the real adventure hadn’t even begun. So far, the two of them had arrived at the city, and spent their time breathing polluted air, while figuring out a plan of action. Rylen Corporation... the headquarter was in an odd, yet presumable setting, and staying in the city for as long as he did, he completely understood the method to their madness. The Floridian city was peaceful and normal, the perfect place for an evil company to not be detected. Kids ran down the streets laughing and playing, businessmen walked and drove their daily routes to and from work, life here was the average, run of the mill city, were no one would suspect a thing.
Considering they were on a mission to save two girls that may or may not be dead already, their efforts were surprisingly relaxed. Of course they had a strict schedule, but now that he thought about it, they’d been here for a whole week, and to him, that was a long time. For him, it’d been pretty boring, since his partner was practically doing most of the work, and most of the hours that the ghost boy was gone, he’d been left in an empty hotel room. It didn’t take him that long to figure out the plans when Hieta came back with info, and being a curious and naughty boy, he’d spent his spare time down at a local club. He slipped out when boredom took over and had to admit, he had a hell of a good time. Yeah, he had to sneak past some security guards cause of his age, but once he got in, he was practically a magnet and girls automatically floated over to his arms. A few chicks here and there, a few snorts of some pott, and not to mention the drinks tasted amazing. Of course he had to control his drinking, for Hieta would probably kill him if he wasn’t focused, but Jake still enjoyed his little excursion.
Unfortunately, it’d been a bit hard for Jake to strategize with someone whom he was only able to hear. Hieta, a ghost, was his partner and although the other student was useful, it was an odd pairing. Once or twice, he could’ve sworn that he’d walked right through the ghost kid, and when he did, a cold and creepy feeling went up his spine, making him shiver. Jake wasn’t scared of ghosts by any means, but not knowing where Hieta was, he had to admit, it was a bit creepy. He constantly felt as if he was being watched, and had so many questions about the life of a ghost, it was driving him insane. Though sadly, he’d need to hold off on his questions for the time being.
In all honesty, the Autumn had no idea why he’d volunteered, but he assumed it was because even though Maria thought she was strong, he knew even she had a weakness. Knowing his room mate, she was a total smart ass even when in peril, and that’s the stupid reason of why they were going to rescue her and Freya. Freya… why and how the hell did they agree to go on a mission together? He understood that it was their Father’s building and they probably wanted revenge or something, but Jake still couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that they were working together. Well, in a time of desperation, even the meanest of sister can find a way to not kill each other for a day.
Waiste time? Besides his trips to the club, eating, and sleeping, he’d been busting butt trying to prepare for tonight. Apparently the two of them were going to need to work fast in order to save the two captives, and based off of what Hieta told him, they weren't in very good shape. And by saying they weren’t in very good shape was apparently an understatement. The Autumn wore comfy black cargo-ish pants and a black shirt, topped with a black jacket. After all those years of fantasizing as a kid, he was a true spy. "Hold your horses, I'm going as fast as I can," he chuckled, flipping through some papers and grabbing the ones that he needed. Stuffing them in a backpack that was full of necessities, he stood up, looking in the direction that he thought Hieta was standing. "Let’s get on with this, shall we?"
Making their way down to the hotel lobby, Jake checked them out and they were on their merry way, possibly to their deaths. Following the original plan, the tall student made his way towards the back entrance, making sure to stay in the shadows. Feeling utterly alone since his partner was basically invisible, he had to admit that even he, a guy who was supposed to be tough and not afraid of anything, was nervous. This building was extremely massive, and he knew that big companies like this came with their own army of guards, which also came with a ton of complications and roadblocks. Guess they’d just have to some detours.
Lights it up the entire shipment yard, and that meant that they’d have to make their entrance fast. The fencing that surrounded the shipment yard was covered in barbed wire and a few guards roamed around, they didn’t carry any weapons. Are they gifted? he wondered, looking around to make sure to coast was clear. But why would the People in Black be helping Rylen Corp? Pushing his questions to the back of his mind, he had to stay focused. Spotting a power box conveniently placed outside of the gate, he decided it was now or never. After a few more moments of waiting, the guards happened to be at the opposite ends of the yard, and this was his chance. Running forward but staying low, Jake made his way to the box, silently opening it. A couple of his fingers turned into mini tools, and he started to mess with the wires. Yellow goes to yellow, blue goes to green… no! Red goes to green, blue goes to blue. Cautiously untangling the wires and welding them back together but in a different combination, he put the last pair together, closing an eye and hoping for the best. The gate opened just enough for him to slip in, and he could finally breathe. To him, it seemed like an huge accomplishment, but sadly, they still had a ways to go, and it was definitely be dangerous. We can’t fail, Jake reminded himself, running through the opening in the gate, which soon automatically closed again. Taking a deep breath, he ran towards a shadowed spot that was free from any cameras so him and Hieta could regroup.
Get in, grab the sisters, and don’t die. How hard could it be?
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyFri Jun 24, 2016 5:43 pm
For everything that it was worth noting, Jake was very, very slow with preparations. The way he was treating the mission made it seem like it was some sort of game, something that they would have a second chance at or constantly be able to reset or retreat if they messed up the first time around. Perhaps it was the gig that metal-boy was wearing, with the makeshift espionage outfit or maybe it was how he had acted throughout the entire week that Hieta had been doing other things. He may not have been around often, let alone have stayed in the hotel for very long, but anyone could see the bottles of alcohol and beer lying on the ground, clinking into each other with the slightest of nudges. It was as plain and blatantly obvious as day and night. Somehow, he couldn't get rid of the thought that Jake wasn't taking this as seriously as he should've been. If anything, Hieta wouldn't have bothered depending on him to get this escapade done, but there was a very large problem with that.
He was a ghost, dead, unfeeling, and unseen. Getting through all of the security - whether it be fences or computers or lasers that would slice bodies cleanly in two - was a simple task when he could simply phase through it without the need to hack or try to deal with guards trying to bombard him with a storm of bullets. There was no need to deal with trying to bypass firewalls or blockades or worry about the cameras catching him in action. There was no need to work with the more tedious side of everything when he didn't need to - less time to waste and more time to work efficiently without having the anxiety that sentries would walk in and tap him on the shoulder just as he was cracking the code to shut down all of the power within the bustling skyscraper. With ease and precision, reaching the hostages was as easy as one, two three.
The reason he had a partner in the first place was because getting in was the easy part. Trying to run through the building while everyone was in disarray and confusion with the lights out and intruders infiltrating what could possibly be every corner, lurking in the shadows before pouncing and making a break for the exit with two unconscious ladies on each arm was nearly impossible. Demon or not, hindering the use of his hands was detrimental when his lower limbs were preoccupied with running. Not to mention taking care that the prisoners weren't to be damaged much more than they already were, and judging from their condition, it would be difficult to maneuver without harming them further.
What was the academy thinking, sending only two people for this job? His mind registered it as something that would be akin to a suicide mission, barring the fact that he was already dead. If Nicola were here, they could have a sort of demonic army swarming the entire facility and making the trip that much more simple, but...
There was no use in relying on someone that was not around to help.
Hieta only gave a passing glance as Jake went through the door exit, down the stairs, and without a doubt, taking the elevator. His partner was going to take awhile to make it through the place. It was strategic to leave in the middle of the night anyway where traffic was nonexistent and not a single car was expected to be making a turn, flashing headlights and sounding the horn when they see a shadow of a figure in front of them. He must've came off as tacky and strange to the bellboys passing around, all suit up in black like the terrorists that seemed to be worming their way into the news a tiny bit more every time. An estimation of about five or so minutes for the other student to make it all the way down the gargantuan building. Very unlikely that the People in Black would be staying in a hotel such as this.
With that in mind, under the assumption that Jake would remain safe, Hieta took the more efficient and less time-consuming method: falling backwards over the rail. Any living person would have died from that kind of descent, but a ghost was not bound by the laws of physics of the mortal realm. Twisting his body to an upright position, he landed soundly on his feet with a gentle air, enough so that he wouldn't sink straight down and below the concrete and into the planet's core. A more accurate way of saying it was that he would penetrate the crust first before reaching the mantle, but that truly didn't matter in the end. He would be able to hop right back up without having any need to worry about all of that.
Glancing over his shoulder, crimson red eyes registered that the taller and still breathing boy had just walked out of the hotel's golden gates - the kind that spun around like those carousels that children rode on - with the materials and everything else. The trek to the corporation edifice was deathly silent with only the inhales and exhales leaving from Jake's lungs to keep his body sustaining itself with the necessary energy to continue living. A few times here and there, he assumed the boy was shivering, but Orlando weather, especially when it was starting to creep towards summer, was anything but cold at this time of the year. Trembling, perhaps? Hieta simply shrugged it off, not bothering to question any of it. It wasn't of any of his real concern anyway. Once they reached the back exit, there wasn't anything worth of necessary note.
The usual sort of thing that one would see in those B-grade action movies, with the guards walking around in a staccato rhythm with a "hup two three four" sort of feel to it. They wouldn't break their position, simply parading about in the same exact lines and patterns over and over again without missing a single beat. As he saw Jake heading towards the very poorly placed power box, Hieta took the opportunity to phase through the wires. With the sentinels on the opposite side of where they were now, Jake managed to make it through without so much as a failure and quite frankly, it appeared too easy thus far. They would have to be on guard the entire time they tried to infiltrate the place. While the maps they had were handy, there was less of a chance that they could actually take them out and review which path they should take.
Not that they haven't looked them over multiple times already.
The first power supply room was on the fourth floor. The second one was on the opposite side of the floor from there; directly behind with a line of rooms that didn't connect between them. The final one was on the seventh floor.
Jake and Hieta were fortunate that the rooms weren't on one of the much higher elevated floors, but it would be a hindrance traveling up and down with the captives imprisoned down in the basement which in turn had three floors to it. All of this would require moving very quickly. While Jake retreated to a shadowed area, Hieta glanced at the watch he was wearing, dialing the alarm to queue at a specific time: the current hour was 1:39 AM. They had until 2:45, at the latest. Any longer than that and they would be forced to abandon everything and retreat, ending the operation in a complete failure. From the information gathered, there was no way that they would actually kill the Rylen sisters. That was the presumption. In the worst case scenario, they could abandon them without having to worry too much about their safety. They couldn't risk having yet another student captured.
He scanned the current vicinity, finding the scarcity of guards inside even more suspicious. There should be more people around the area, but there weren't. One could only assume that meant most of them were stationed in the basement, which would make things even harder. The lights were still on inside and everything was still functioning. That had to change within the next twenty minutes. Most of the time they had should be allotted to the escape - the People in Black didn't seem to be the sort of people to attack in public so directly because they couldn't. It was something they should take advantage of when fleeing. "The elevators nearest in proximity from here are on the west wing." For the most part, they shouldn't have to fight their way through if they were careful.
"Wait for another guard to pass by this area and steal their uniform."
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptySun Sep 25, 2016 1:29 pm
Standing by the wall, he gave a nod to Hieta's comment. Making sure the coast was clear, the tall student ran towards a door and quickly transformed his hand into a lock pic. Soon enough it popped open with a little click and as quietly as he could, he opened the door and slipped inside. Looking around, he had no idea how to get to the west wing. The map gave him an idea, but even that didn’t help much, for the whole thing looked like one big giant maze. Starting to feel lost and helpless, he remembered that he was supposed to find a guard and heading in what he hoped was the right direction of West.
Not really knowing where Hieta was and assuming he was following him, Jake crept forward, barely breathing and wondering when he'd run into a guard or trip an alarm. A few times his shoes made a horrid squeaking noise against the tile floor and he winced at the sound, praying that no one else heard it. He kept his eyes peeled for any cameras that were hidden on the ceiling and oddly enough, there were only two in which he took down fairly quickly. After what seemed like ages of walking down an endless hallway, he finally made it to a dead end and was forced to take a left.
Upon turning the corner, to his luck, there happened to be a guard standing by the elevator. He wore simple khaki pants, brown leather shoes, and a light blue shirt that had "security" imprinted on it. It was weird how low security was, considering they were holding people prisoner in the basement, but then again, not many people would think to look in a company's basement for people. They clearly underestimated us, Jake thought to himself with a sneer. Unless it’s a trap... snapping out of his thoughts from the guard’s shout of anger, Jake knew he needed to act quickly.
Before the guard could reach for the gun that rested in a holster on his belt, the student’s hand turned into a muffled pistol and he shot the man square in the chest without making a sound. The guard fell to the ground and slumped against the wall and Jake hurried to the elevator. Pressing the button about a hundred times and looking behind him every few seconds to make sure no one came around the corner, the door finally opened with a quaint like ding. Jumping inside, he looked at the wall of buttons, skimming over them with his fingers. F1, B1, B2, B3. "Wait, what the fuck?" he mumbled aloud, starting to get the horrible panicky feeling in his gut. They were supposed to come in, go to the basement and grab the sisters, but there were multiple basements? No one told them about multiple basements, was that even possible? "Uh, Hieta?" he asked, wondering what to do.
Daddy Issues [closed] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Daddy Issues [closed]   Daddy Issues [closed] EmptyWed Oct 26, 2016 4:40 pm
Contrary to what Jake had believed, Hieta hadn’t followed him.
While the other boy had gone towards finding a security guard’s uniform to steal and prepare for incognito - or at the very least, a decent disguise to lessen the probability of being caught -, the ghost had opted towards moving to the main power supply. It wasn’t too far from their current area, if he could remember correctly. Left, left, right, left, third room in the hallway to the right. Several monitors were inside, linked to cameras sitting outside, like Big Brother with his watchful eye, never blinking and always following one’s movements. Levers and containers were scattered around, funnels connecting them to the ceilings above with wires snaking around the floor at every nook and cranny possible. But the thing was, there wasn’t anyone inside. Not a single living soul.
His crimson gaze scanned the general vicinity as he walked around. One screen displayed Jake, who had successfully found one of the staff members and was preparing to do the original task he was told. Good. That would go off without a hitch. Best be quick with his own job, then. Flickers of what seemed to be a black fire sparked from Hieta’s form, and soon enough, horns were protruding from the top of his head; a pair of coal-colored wings emerged from his back, large enough to rival the elegant feathers angels always had. Grabbing his scythe, he made swift slashes in succession, electricity flying from the wires that once contained them as the power and light turned off. Pitch black with shadows creeping wherever someone turned.
Not that it bothered him too much - it was practically his natural element. Drawing one leg back, he braced himself to sprint and with a leap, he was flying through the air, passing through without too much difficulty. Still, no one was around, yet this was still enemy territory. It would be dangerous to let down his guard at any point in time. Why is it so empty…? Something didn’t feel right at all. Perhaps they had known that he and Jake were coming and had prepared ahead of time. If that was the case, perhaps a strategic retreat would be best.
But retreating now would be ridiculous, considering how much they’ve already gotten done. Shutting down most of the running technology would be a clear signal that they’re already inside, and if they left now, security would most likely tighten by the time they attempt again. And who knows? By the time they try again, the Rylens might already be dead. While that wouldn’t have been much of his concern, he would prefer not to face the headmaster’s wrath for failing and soon after, Nicola for lacking a sense of righteousness or morality on something as important as a rescue mission. He was a demon, but that didn’t mean he had to be like the rest of them - that was what she always said without taking into account that trying to defy his very nature and being wasn’t exactly as easy as she made it seem.
It took awhile to find Jake, somewhat, he wasn’t really sure, considering his poor sense of time, but the boy was standing outside the elevator, and just in time, Hieta had arrived to hear him say his name. Before choosing to respond, he took a glance at the elevator buttons that Jake had been looking at.
F1, B1, B2, B3.
. . . Shit.
Which basement was it again? No matter how much he wracked his brain, he couldn’t think properly. No choice then. He had to save it for later.
Hastily, Hieta reverted back to his ghost form, his scythe clanging onto the ground by his feet. ”Wait here. I will go look.” And within moments, he had phased through the ground. Logically, the floor they were previously on was most likely F1. B1 was unlikely to hold prisoners and would have the least amount of security; if anything, it was most likely a storage. B2 may be for backup power for when they lost electricity or it could be something else entirely while coupling as another area to store more items. B3. Most buildings rarely bothered to make a third basement. It was a logical conclusion, but…
Better to be safe than sorry.
Glances around confirmed his suspicions, and he easily managed to spot the Rylens in their cells afterwards. They certainly looked worse for wear and in a much more terrible condition than what have been expected. Wasn’t their father the one administering the torture? Surely he could have gone with something a bit more humane? His trail of thought was cut off when he caught the irony in this. Right. A demon. Thinking about being humane. Stupid. Shaking his head, Hieta returned to the original rendezvous point. ”B3. Elevators are not operating.” His wings reappeared, and now, Jake could actually see him. Hieta wrapped one arm around the other boy’s waist, whispering, ”Hold on tight.”
The closed elevator doors were burst open forcibly and the cart wasn’t there. Made it easier to travel down. Without too much concern for whether his passenger was comfortable with the ride, he resorted to a plummeting descent with only his wings acting as a buoy to prevent them from crashing. Another elevator door was decimated to pieces, and they were closer to their objective than before now. Almost done… hopefully.
