The Rules
1. Two teams will battle for the other team's flag. When one team is in decisive control of both flags, the game will end.
2. A creek running down the forest will count as the border between both territories. The entire forest and lake are designated as the playing area. Intentionally going out of bounds will result in disqualification for the rest of the game.
3. There is no jail or tagging.
4. Students are to use any weapons, powers, and strategies at their disposal. However, all blades will be blunted before the game starts.
5. Crippling another student will result in immediate ejection from the game. Please exercise caution in your battles.

Info to Know
1. Portal monsters will be wandering around in the more remote corners of the forest, and will attack on sight.
2. Both flags carry a special property that will negate the holder's ability to use their gift. For this reason, it is necessary for teammates to protect the flag carrier.
3. Flags will zip back to their point of origin when released, around the same speed as an arrow in flight.
4. Flags will remain in a fortified area that is lit up by lanterns. This is considered your main "base." Autumn/Winter have a blue flag, while Spring/Summer have a red flag.
5. All strategies are valid!

Posting Guidelines & Etiquette
1. Quick and easy posts, please! One liners, small paragraphs, whatever. It doesn't matter as long as you're posting actively.
2. Anyone can jump in at any time, even if they didn't sign up beforehand.
3. No godmodding. If you feel like people are acting unfair, please call them out on it! No, you can't just wreck everyone you come across in one hit.
4. Scout's honor! Be a good sport. You might get punked at some points defending or trying to get at the flag, but that's okay. You'll get plenty of chances throughout the game.
5. There's no posting order as long as you're not autohitting (attacking people in multiple separate posts before they can respond). Go crazy.

On Attacking & Defending
To keep salt to a minimum, please follow this rule of thumb when going on the offensive for the flag.

The idea is that everyone has to encounter a certain amount of obstacles before reaching the other team's home base, where they can attempt to steal the flag. This also applies when they're returning back to their own territory, and then to their own base. Crossing the border and stealing or returning the flag, in itself, should be confrontations.

Confused? Have a shitty MS Paint chart to try and visualize it.

A confrontation can be defined as either a direct fight or chase with the enemy, some kind of trap set up by the defending team, or some sort of barrier or obstacle in the same vein. If you're purely defending, you don't have to worry about this as much—just attack or delay whatever person is trying to get to your flag.

What happens if you want to take a roundabout, stealthy route though? Well, that's what the monsters are for. You can avoid the enemy team, it just means you're going to run into them instead. Same rules.

Again, this isn't concrete, just do whatever you think is fair.

Hopefully that isn't too confusing. If you have any questions, post here please!
