Jake's spirits soon lifted and hoped it wasn't too obvious that he liked being around her. "Ya know, it's nice to finally have another techy person around." He blurted out, suddenly feeling like an idiot. "I mean, a lot of people here don't really like..." He started to ramble on but his words soon faded, not knowing how to finish what he was going to say without sounding rude.

Michelle rolled her eyes as Jake started to talk, but glanced as him as he drifted off. Well, at least he was talking about technology - she could do something with this. "Don't really like technology?" she offered softly, before a soft laugh escaped her as she shook her head. "People do like it, just not the scientific parts about it," she muttered as they walked along. "They like the easy parts - being able to take pictures with a click of a button and share it across the world...After all, almost everybody has a phone."

"So true." He replied, listening to her little speech. "But there's so much more than the outside of a phone. Like think about what you could do inside a phone, the possibilities are endless!" He exclaimed, just thinking about it made him happy.

"Of course, I've always been more into the...Data of technology," she breathed, diving into a territory she hated talking about - herself. But she supposed it was a little price to pay to keep things from becoming to awkward between the two of them. "All the texts, pictures, videos...People like sending them around but they never seem to realize that they are always around us...Just floating." It bothered her, you know. People tended to think that everything they sent to another person would be private but to her? It wasn't. Their phones or computers may be the only ones that could read that data normally, but as long as it was in the air around her, Michelle (along with her father) could easily find it thanks to their gift. Nothing was truly safe due to them...Well, as long as it was data and existed somewhere in the air. There was some sever limits to her gift after all - she wasn't all powerful. Hacking computers was above her, all she could do was read the data and edit it. But still, all of that knowledge at her fingertips...That made the world a bit scarier place knowing that she could pull up people's information in a heartbeat. It was one of the reasons she hated people knowing about herself - because it could be used in so many different ways.

"Yep." He replied in a more calm tone as they reached the entrance. He grabbed the handle and opened it for Michelle in a gentle men type of way. "You know, it was nice meeting you. It's not every day I meet a new person with similar interests as me." Jake said lightheartedly walking into the office after the girl.

Michelle was fine with the simple response from Jake. While she was willing to partake in conversation with him, it didn't mean she really enjoyed it. She would rather be listening to her music more then anything, but entertaining him was a small price to pay she supposed. She raised an eyebrow when he opened up the door for her, causing her to shake her head with a soft smile, her brown curls bouncing with the movement. Clearly, he was trying to get on her good side.

As she stepped into the office with her suitcase rolling after her, she took a small look around before spotting the secretary. She let go of her suitcase's handle, letting it sit upright as Jake followed in. She turned to look at him, raising a hand to mess with her headphones once more. After a few moments, she spoke up. "I suppose you are right," she said softly in reply, giving him a soft smile. "It is pretty nice to meet someone I have at least something to talk about with."

After she gave her reply, she turned and headed toward the secretary to register herself. It didn't take very long and once the process was complete, she headed back toward Jake. Receiving her suitcase, she spared a glance at the mechanical student as she cleared her throat. "You...Wouldn't be willing to take me to the initiate dorms now, would you?" It was really only something she asked because well...She didn't have a clue how to get there. And besides, he had been willing to take her here, why not also the dorms?

Jake's spirits were lift once more when the girl asked him to take her to the dorms. He couldn't say no, could he? Well, he wouldn't say no. "Of course." Jake said with a smile. He honestly didn't remember where the initiate dorms were, but assumed it wouldn't be that hard to find. "Shall we?" He couldn't wait to spend more time with Michelle, today was turning out just as he'd imagined it.
