PostSubject: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptyWed Feb 25, 2015 1:32 am

They were outside city limits now, with Tokyo's skyline shimmering behind them as the sun dipped into dusk. The facility looked more like a military compound than a laboratory.  It was huge, unmarked, windowless, a concrete building reinforced with steel beams. Metal doors and an electric fence topped in barbed wire kept it all sealed in. There weren't any guards that she could see, or cars, or anything else. Something about that felt weird. They said there'd be people here, right? Then why did the place feel so... empty?

Kayla stretched out her arm and wrapped her fingers around a link in the fence. She could feel the electricity coursing into her hand, but there wasn't any pain. If anything it was a natural, ticklish sensation, something she knew better than anyone else in the world. Like they really thought a stupid fence would stop her. Sparks crackled around her head, lightning rippled down her arm, and the fence blew apart in an explosion of sparks, sulfur, and scrap metal. When the smoke cleared, there was a six foot wide ragged gap, more than enough for her and the rest of the party to get through.

She stuffed her hands in her pockets and smiled over her shoulder at the rest of them. "Someone else can handle the doors. Let's go."

Break in, smash the place up, drag the researchers back to their suite downtown, spend one glorious night in Tokyo, collect their cash at the school. Easy-peasy, right? Electricity danced across her fingertips as a cold breeze tugged at her clothes and hair. This was going to be a fun night.

Destroy a research facility and kidnap the staff for their memory of anything gift-related to be wiped clean. It seemed a little...Much, but there wasn't must else they could do. If they didn't destroy the place completely, any remnants of research hidden away somewhere could lead to the same thing all over again.

Ken shook his head to clear it, but really didn't need to. He was jerked out of his thoughts at the sound of electricity sparking, and looked up in shock(pun intended) to see one of the girls who had come on the mission as well casually touching and somehow withstanding the electric fence and it's zaps of energy. The Autumn instinctively held his arm out in front of his little sister, Rei, as the fence suddenly exploded, creating a huge gap in the fence. Grey eyes widening, Ken wondered briefly just how sane this girl was.

Oh well. That was one way in the building, and it didn't require any struggle. They could save their energy for the actual destruction. Hopefully no one would go too overboard and cause like a big piece of concrete or some shit to crash onto another student and kill someone. That was really his only worry. Surely he scientists couldn't be too hard to deal with.
Probably.
Maybe.

Not very surprised by the explosion--she was kind of expecting it considering they were here to trash the place--the Spring stood calmly, studying the girl who had just blown up the fence. Was her gift electricity? Or maybe some kind of energy overloading ability?
Rei glanced up at her older brother briefly before gently pushing his arm down. No one was hurt. Instead, she calmly made her way after the student who had blown up the fence. Her brother blinked and followed after. This would definitely be an...interesting experience.

Whitney blinked, quite excited to be here in Japan - the most BEAUTIFUL City in the entire world but there was only one reason that the party was here. Too destroy all research of the gift gene, it had to be done, and it had to be done right. The others should be very honored to be in her presence after all, she was a very well known artist at home, Whitney had planned to take charge - be the brave hero for everyone. With the thought a smile stuck onto her face like a mouse stuck onto a glue trap, the sound of an explosion made Whitney look up quickly the smile changing to a irritated scowl, glaring at the girl who made the fence explode. "Hey! You static head!" Whitney had snapped at her fists clenching, "I didn't think we would be dealing with a frizz brain while we where hear, so please cut it out whatever non-sane thing you were doing." She said with a huff marching forward herself, Whitney's gaze snapped forward back to the girl as she mentioned the situation of the doors. A smile formed, "Ah the doors! Righto I'll take care of that." The intinate said cracking her knuckles and reaching into her small hand-bag where a paint-brush and paint's appeared. Whitney quickly drew a cop's tool summoning it rather easily. Pfft simple task drawing that tool.. With a large swing, the doors easily opened up letting the group into the research factory. "Your welcome guys" She whispered slightly winking, and quickly entering the building the feeling of pride making her skip along the way a few times.

Milah sighed, the blue-haired girl trailed behind Whitney, giving glances at the parts of the factory. It's big.. the winter thought to herself. We have our work cut out for us today, Milah let out a slight gasp of alarm. Her hand slapping at her lips once she reliazed what kind of power one of her team members had. Elecricty, Milah's gaze flickered uneasily glancing at Kayla every now and then,why did she sign up for this? Water and Elecricity just do not mix togeter at all.

occ: lazy post for Milah but meh ;-; you guys can handle Whitneyy

The entire objective of this mission was a bit harsh... Hieta honestly wouldn't have agreed to this mission at all if one, Rei told Nicola she was going to go with Ken, and two, Nicola insisted they joined the other two and for "bonding" time. Destroy research, erase the memory of the scientists, and wreck the remnants? This would be just wonderful... He was more worried about whether his little sister even had enough demonic energy to continue such a trip. This entire mission didn't interest him all too much, even if he understood what was at stake. But would it be that worth it in the end?

Nicola was skipping around, humming a small tune as she followed their eccentric group down the road to the facility. Of course, all vision was blocked when she heard an explosion and smoke appearing in front of her, gathering in the air. When it all cleared up, Hieta was standing over her protectively as she frowned, pushing him away gently. She muttered, "I'm not that much of a kid, you know..." All she received was a shake of disapproval. Grumbling the rest of the way, she didn't take much interest in whatever the other group members were doing. Except of course...

... Leaving her brother's side, the small girl quickly ran up to Rei with a happy grin on her face, and in her cheerful voice, asked, "Hey you two! What's up?"

Huh? Kayla narrowed her eyes, irritated sparks popping and fizzing around her head. Great. Of course there had to be at least one stuck-up bitch to tag along and spoil all her fun. If she put a lightning bolt through her back and left her paralyzed until the mission was over, would anybody blame her? "What the hell do you think we're here for?" Kayla snapped back, following the girl as she marched off toward the metal lab doors. "If you're going to piss your pants from a tiny explosion, princess, then you should probably wait outside. We're not here to play with dolls."

She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes as Whitney battered down the door, lightning rippling down her waist. Her little smug wink made her want to puke. Honestly, who did this girl think she was?

The Autumn was quick to follow her inside the building, eyes darting back and forth. It'd opened up into a wide dark corridor, with gray floors and sterile white walls. Kayla gave a wave of her hand, electricity flitting across her fingertips, and the lights came on with a flicker. At the end of the hallway was another metal door, with a sign hanging over it in Japanese. There was an English translation below it, in plain, bold letters.

WHAT YOU DO HERE
WHAT YOU SEE HERE
WHAT YOU HEAR HERE
WHEN YOU LEAVE HERE
LET IT STAY HERE

There wasn't any handle on the door, just a metal box with a tiny screen. Something for fingerprints, she guessed... but that was too much of a hassle. Kayla put her hand over it, sparks gathering in her palm, and just like that, the door popped open with a loud CLACK.

"Whoa."

The young Spring glanced at her friend and pointed at the girl opening the doors. "Waiting for...Oh." As she spoke, the doors were opened, and the seemingly electricity-gifted student was making a few smart remarks back at the girl who had insulted her before. Rei blinked and giggled quietly. "These two are funny. Come on Nicola, let's check things out together!" She said in a still quiet, but rather playful tone. And then she was skipping casually after Kayla and Whitney, thinking of all the possible hiding places these scientists could have stuffed back-up research.

Ken sighed quietly as two of the party members bickered a bit. They had only just started the mission, and he had hoped it would go down smoothly. Literally, this place was going to be brought to the ground. Probably not very smoothly. He looked at Nicola and Rei and smiled faintly in amusement. At least they seemed happy. Shoving his hands in the pockets of his trench coat, the Autumn followed after the others.

When they entered the building, both Ken and Rei were now expecting more random explosions or something to happen at any moment. So it wasn't too surprising when Kayla just nonchalantly forced the next door open by electrocuting the identification pad. Rei followed in right behind the older student, looking out at the size and complication of the laboratory. It looked way bigger from the inside than it did when they were outside the walls, but wasn't that to be expected? Still, she was almost positive that none of them expected the inside to be this impressive.

Too bad they had to destroy everything.

Her older brother strolled up behind them as one of the last followers of the line, taking a moment to examine the area. This...May be a bit more difficult than he anticipated. With the time limit they had, and the size of this place, they should get started pretty soon. However, where was everyone?  He couldn't spot any of the staff yet, and the place was eerily quiet for a lab.

PostSubject: Re: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptyTue Mar 03, 2015 2:11 pm

OOC: Moving on, I guess.
Sorry that this post sucks major dick (more than usual anyways). I'm just not in it right now.
And sorry if it feels like I'm just rushing everyone through this thread, lol. Not my intention.

IC: Her footsteps rang throughout the room as she continued forward, lightning coursing down her arms. Aside from the whir of machines, it was silent. That wasn't right, was it? She walked up a set of metal stairs, running her hand along the yellow railing... No scientists in white coats, no guards, no nothing. There weren't even any security cameras along the walls that she could see. What the hell was up with that?

"Helloooo?"

Nothing but her own echo. The place was empty. Kayla paused where she was, on a platform ringed with buzzing machines she couldn't identify. A sudden sick, nervous feeling settled in her stomach. She raised a sparking elbow and slammed it into a nearby machine with a loud THUD. Buttons and bolts went scattering across the concrete, and the metal box began to smoke and crackle. "Anybody home?"

No answer. Just... wait. Footsteps?

Loud, purposeful, fast footsteps. Not just one person either, but a whole group by the sound of it, and they were getting louder by the second. Those weren't her classmates.

It wasn't a scientist that leaped out from around the corner, or some armed guard. It was another girl, her age and not an inch taller, with a sheet of raven-black hair and a pinball held loosely in her fingers.

Kayla didn't know how she knew to jump away. It was just instinct. Maybe something in her just sensed that it was a matter of life and death the moment she laid eyes on it. When the pinball left the girl's hand, Kayla dived to the side, eyes wide.

Nothing was supposed to fly that fast. The ball zipped through the air at an impossible speed, and when it hit the machine behind where Kayla had been standing just a second before, there was an explosion of flame and scrap metal.

Her heart was racing as she pushed herself onto one knee, gritting her teeth. Their eyes met as the ash cleared. "What the hell...?"

OOC2: surprise mofucka
This is probably really confusing, I'm sorry. ;_;

tl;dr you're being ambushed. Japanese gifted people are now trying to kill you. There's one for each of the characters here. You can pick the gifts/genders/appearances/personalities of your opponent, doesn't matter to me. Don't die.

PostSubject: Re: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptyTue Mar 03, 2015 9:40 pm

OOC;; Sorryyy, I forgot about this. And lame posts are always fun.

IC;; Giving a happy smile to her friend, she walked along with Rei towards the facility. She honestly didn't know the danger that was here, and she was more worried about how the scientists were playing "hide-and-seek" with them. And well, Nicola never lost a game of hide-and-seek. This mission wasn't going to let her lose one to destroy that streak at all.

She didn't really mind anything for awhile. That was until, when they walked in, she noticed someone else in there that wasn't with them. And from behind her, she heard a slightly insane laugh that sounded like another kid. Turning around, Nicola noticed a little girl holding a small, shredded teddy bear with doey eyes. Her hair was slightly singed, but a rusty black and her green eyes were off-putting. A flame was shot from the other girl's palm and as quick as she could react, Nicola leaped back.

"Hey! That's not very nice."

The other girl didn't seem to really care about that, and once she threw that ragged plushie up, Nicola's eyes widened. It had morphed into a large, terrifying bear. She would've called for Hieta's help honestly, but it looks like he was busy with some other boy attacking him. Shaking her head in frustration and ignorance, Nicola stomped her feet on the ground, channeling her demonic energy to summon a few demons.

"Play fair at least!"

Hieta was annoyed. He was just about to go help his little sister and then this stupid idiot came out of nowhere. Gripping his sword's handles, he quickly slashed at his opponent, who seemed to disappear and reappear from behind him. Teleportation? Are you fucking kidding me? His anger was just growing, and he was just about done with this mission. "Rei, Ken - it's been nice knowing you." were the few words he said jokingly as he was locked into combat.

OOC;; I believe this is the first time I decided to curse without censoring in a RP... uvu

[OoC] Oh snap.

[IC] Ken's eyes went wide as the party was suddenly ambushed, out of nowhere, by enemy gifted. The Autumn immediately unsheathed his dual blades, glancing briefly at his sister. Looks like things definitely weren't going to go as smooth as he had wished they were. His blades gleamed in the off lighting, and it didn't take him long to spot his opponent standing to his left, grinning at him. Ken felt a quiet growl rise in his throat, and he faced the other teenager, glaring back at him.

The boy rushed towards him, and just as Ken was about to lunge, he felt something slippery underneath his shoes. Chancing a quick look down, he was shocked to find thick, warm oil pooling fast around his feet. When he looked back up, the boy just narrowly missed jabbing him in the head with a spear. Reacting fast, Ken dodged another strike by leaning, however nearly slipped on the oil in the process. He bent down and jabbed one of blades in a crack in the floor and slid sideways out of the thickest part of the oil. Great, he gets to deal with Mr. Slick over here. That didn't bode well for him considering his gift just turned him into a heavy Cerberus creature.

At Hieta's words, Ken didn't even bother looking up, his grey gaze locked onto this oil guy. "You too." He snickered, not about to lose hope just yet.

Suddenly the area was a battleground. Weapons were pulled, gifts were activated. Rei turned to lock eyes with her older brother for a split second before he too engaged in a fight against another boy. Well, this all took a rather sudden turn. Perhaps destroying this place wouldn't be as easy as they first assumed.

Stretching her arms briefly, the young girl met eyes with yet another boy, wielding a bow and aiming right for her. He seemed a bit older than her, and was the only one of the enemy party she had seen so far not using his gift right off the bat. The Spring smiled faintly as her grey, emotionless eyes began to glow a bright yellow, a dark aura beginning to form around her small form. The aura morphed and grew. The boy fired his arrow, and off it bounced. The aura cleared, revealing a large, scaly, three-headed beast with three tails so thick with scales that they served as a sort of armor. The creature had no fur, and it had several sharp teeth. It stood sideways, one of its tails held out to block the arrow that had been shot. A faint, echoing giggle sounded from the beast's direction, as the creature watched the boy's eyes go wide with pure shock and fear. Didn't see that one coming, did you, kid?

PostSubject: Re: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptyFri Mar 06, 2015 2:13 am

This chick couldn't be for real.

There wasn't any time to ask questions. Kayla lunged forward onto her feet, blue currents writhing down her arms, but before she knew it, another pinball was leaving her fingers. Blind instinct took over her movement, and with no time to dodge, Kayla thrust her hand out to shoot a jagged beam of lightning from her palm.

The speeding metal and the bolt met with a thunderous crack in the center of the lab. It'd happened too fast for her to process, but when Kayla glanced aside, there was a pillar of smoke spilling out of a concrete wall. So it was the same principle as the sewing needles from the fruitcake she'd fought on the first day of school. Kayla couldn't help but grin. One hit from one of those things and she'd burst like a meaty pinata. No sweat. After all, what was life without a little risk?

Mrs. Pinball over there on the other side of the platform scrunched up her face, muttering something under her breath in Japanese, but a second later the fight was back on. More steel balls rolled down her sleeve and into her hands, and Kayla went reeling backwards, throwing up spears of electricity as more pinballs came flying like bullets from every direction. PINGPINGPINGPING. Every whisk and push of her fingers was a fight for survival, another bolt of lightning that kept her an inch ahead of death.

They went ricocheting into the machines, the walls, the ceiling, the pipes. Beads of sweat were running down her back by the time the smoke cleared, and Kayla was panting. The Asian girl's face twisted into a grimace, and she pitched another one like a baseball. Kayla threw her hand up in the air, electricity coursing up her fingers, and the ball went reflecting skyward, smashing into one of the buzzing lights above. Glass rained down between them like rain.

"You never even told me your name," she huffed with a smile, slowing to a stop.

She didn't seem very amused. Her face contorted in rage, she ripped a dagger out from the leather scabbard on her hip, and then she was charging forward to close the distance between them. Glass crunched under combat boots and Kayla sucked in a sharp intake of breath, dodging aside as the girl lunged past. So she wasn't really the type for jokes, huh?

Light caught the steel of the blade as the girl whirled around, and it shimmered as it sliced through empty air again. Kayla flinched back as she thrust her blade toward her face, falling short only an inch away from her nose. Then she was stumbling backwards, avoiding savage slashes at her face, chest, arms. One of the machines were behind them. When the girl hacked down with all her strength, roaring her hate, Kayla dove to the side, rolling. The dagger didn't bounce off the metal like it was supposed to. Instead, it was as if the metal machine crumpled beneath it like paper.

Was that her power? Was that what she was supposed to fight against?

Kayla was already back on her feet when the girl wrenched her blade free, but it was her turn to attack. As she slashed down at her, Kayla's hand shot out quick as a snake, clasping her wrist. She grinned, twisting with electric currents running down her arm, and the girl screamed, letting her dagger clatter to the ground.

The black-haired girl collapsed to her knees gritting her teeth, sparks popping and fizzing all around them. Kayla twisted harder, grabbing the side of her face with the other hand. "Give up and I'll let you go without any burns, okay?"

Then Pinball Girl socked her in the gut.

It was more than just a punch. It felt more like a rocket to the stomach. She let go, flying backwards, and she could feel herself tumbling and rolling across the ground, into the field of broken glass. Then she was on her back, just like that. Blood was welling up from a dozen new wounds... there were jagged shards stuck in her back, in her legs, arms, even one above her eyebrow. It didn't help that she was wearing short shorts and a t-shirt. But nothing, nothing hurt worse than her stomach.

It wasn't like she'd never been hit before. Kayla had been punched, kicked clawed, slapped by all kinds of people, by grown men and older boys and girls her age, but this was something completely different. Something superhuman. She was staring at the ceiling, lights dancing in her blurry vision. The first thing she did, rolling onto her hands and knees, was throw up blood.

She could hear footsteps approaching her as she hurled again, and Kayla let out a hoarse yell of agony as the girl gave her a sharp tug by her ponytail to pull her onto her knees. One little tap of her foot, and Kayla went sprawling back onto her back with another scream. Just that felt like getting hit by a freight train.

Kinetic energy. Some hazy science lesson from however many months ago hit her as she laid there, gasping for breath on the concrete floor, trying not to throw up on herself in her last moments. That explained it, huh? The girl's shadow fell over her, only a silhouette in her tear-blinded vision. Kayla reached up with a shaking hand, wild electricity rippling up her arm, but the girl kicked forward. The moment the toe of her boot connected with her wrist, she knew it was broken. Her arm fell back onto the ground, bleeding and bent.

Her head fell to the side to stare out across the floor. No way. This was just a stupid mission. People came back from these all the time. She wasn't going to let some fucking bitch just push her around like this... but then the girl stomped on her toes, and Kayla screamed again. Was she trying to torture her? Did she want to humiliate her? Sparks zapped and crackled around her as they always did, as she clenched her teeth and stared out across the facility floor. Kayla could still hear the faint sounds of fighting from all around the lab.

There was a metal bolt right next to her non-broken hand. Just a little bolt, a dinky piece of scrap metal that got knocked loose in all the carnage. Kayla reached out and wrapped her hand around it.

She looked up. The girl stared down at her, unsmiling, both hands clenched into fists. She said a single word in Japanese. Kayla only raised her head, letting her cap fall to the floor, and grinned.

There were one billion volts in a lightning bolt. Enough to burn, paralyze, destroy, or kill. She flipped the bolt up like a coin, sparks scurrying up her arm to gather in a sphere at the tip of her nail. Sayonara.

Kayla flicked the metal bolt as it came back down. With a sound like a gunshot, a spear-like blue beam shot off right into the girl's face. It was more like a laser than lightning. Somewhere in the background, a section of ceiling exploded. When the beam's afterglow faded, Kayla realized she was coated in blood, and most of it wasn't her own.

The girl sank to her knees as if in a silent prayer, and then collapsed onto the floor. There wasn't much left from the shoulders up. Kayla tried not to look as she struggled onto one knee, the facility swimming dizzyingly around her.

Her whole body felt like it was on fire, but after a minute or two of struggling, picking herself up only to fall down again, she finally managed to find her feet. One hand clutched at her stomach, the other hung limply at her side.

Kayla limped past the corpse she'd made and toward a set of metal doors on the far side of the facility, wheezing and shaking with each pain-racked step. She didn't know what to think or feel right now. Right now everything just hurt.

OOC: Skipping Crys for now because I'm an impatient jerk. I was gonna wait for her to join the fray before I finished my fight, but I got sorta... carried away. Sorry, ehehe.

You guys take however long you want. I'll advance the thread when you all finish.

PostSubject: Re: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptyFri Mar 06, 2015 5:17 pm

[OoC] *Cracks knuckles*

[IC] Metal clashed with metal as Ken barely managed to block another stab towards him with his dual-blades. More oil gathered quickly around his feet, making it hard to move in the slightest without risk of slipping. He tried to make his way out of it again, but the boy caught him and caused a shift in the oil, the black puddle lifting slightly and suddenly rushing around his ankles. Finally, the Autumn was sent sliding onto the ground.
This is dangerous, Ken thought to himself, quickly reacting on what he knew was coming as another stab and rolling sideways. The oil moved again, wrapping around his throat. I can't keep blocking forever, or this guy will kill me...! He clenched his teeth, the airflow in his throat stopping as the oil was somehow suffocating him like a rope. What was worse was that he couldn't grab at it, because it was oil and in fact not a rope.

There was no hope in staying the way he was. The spear was brought down towards his throat, and thanks to the oil, he wasn't able to move as well. It sliced a deep slash in his shoulder, causing him to gasp out in pain, releasing what air he had left. A laugh escaped the boy standing over him, and the oil tightened, now making it impossible for Ken to move out of the way as his opponent aimed for his chest. He didn't have a choice anymore. He stared up at the enemy as his eyes began to haze and, suddenly, glowed a bright white. Darkness overtook his body, and within seconds a large, five-foot, white wolf with three heads and a very long, scaly tail burst out of the oil's restraints. Its long frontal fangs clicked together as all three heads bared their fangs and growled.

The boy stumbled backwards in slight surprise, then gritted his own teeth and yelled something in Japanese, before bringing up a large stream of oil around himself. Ken, now in his normal Cerberus form, let out a roar and immediately rushed forward. Oil shot towards him, but he leaped sideways, his snake-like tail slapping against one of the weaker streams to shatter it into droplets. His opponent was ready, one more thrusting his weapon towards the beast, it now slicked in oil. If he managed to get oil in a wound, he could control it from inside Ken's blood stream, which he imagined could probably kill him no matter how big he got. Luckily, the wounds he got in one form didn't carry well when he changed, so the cut on his shoulder was merrily that in this form: a cut. Still bleeding a bit, but not nearly as deep as when he was human.

The Autumn dodged to the side once more, his tail shooting forward and wrapping around the boy's spear. This is where his strength came into play. He twisted it, though not very much due to the oil, and yanked it free of his opponent's hands. The scales on his tail fortunately provided some grip, and he slammed the spear to the ground before stepping on it with his full body weight, crushing the handle into hundreds of pieces. His enemy angrily let out a yell before engulfing himself in oil once more, streams of the substance firing out from the barrier in several spots, all rounding to shoot towards Ken. Locking his eyes onto the enemy, he leaped to the side once more, claws skidding on the oil on the ground, using his tail to balance himself the best he could. The streams, however, slammed into his side and sent his body sliding across the ground. They tried to flood over the heads' eyes and noses, and, on instinct, Ken barely managed to escape by rolling and getting back to his feet, skidding towards the enemy.

He had one chance. Just a few feet from the boy, Ken balanced himself, trying to stay still on the slippery floor. Oil splashed into his form's faces, and succeeded in getting in his eyes and one of the heads' mouths a little. Now was  the time. Springing into the air, busting through a stream of oil that coated his white fur black, his heavy body landed directly on top of the boy, who was too busy trying to focus his oil streams to dodge fast enough. The boy's head slammed against the floor, and the sound of his am bones breaking in several places as large paws slammed down on them echoed throughout the room. A sharp, burning pain could be felt in Ken's chest as the oil that had gotten through tried to push stomach acid up his throat.

No matter the pain, no matter the situation, he couldn't bring himself to watch as he killed someone. So, just before it ended, he shut his eyes. Long, sharp fangs snapped forward, ripping skin easily from the boy's throat. No, not just skin, but he felt himself accidentally grab the bone too. Blood spattered against the face of the biting head, and the boy's life was draining away quickly out into a pool of scarlet around them. The middle head dropped the bone, which had snapped, the part he had been holding having been attached to the boy's skull and holding his head up. Ken transformed back into his human form.

He turned, eyes still shut, unwilling to look at what gruesome view was left of his enemy. He had killed someone. This time, willingly. He vomited up what oil was in his stomach, and his throat burned. His shoulder was bleeding heavily again and stung badly. Looking up just in time to spot the girl who controlled electricity walk away from her own opponent, he chanced a look at the corpse. He nearly vomited again, but swallowed it and shook his head to clear it. Feeling dizzy, he turned and walked over to lean against a wall, looking around for his sister.

Unlike her brother and his transformations, Rei's was surprisingly fast, despite it's appearance. Really fast. As the boy reached for another arrow out of his quiver, Rei shot forward in her beast form, surprising the boy as she slammed a heavy tail into him. She was smart enough to limit any physical contact to a very brief period of time, as she was still unaware of what his gift was. At this point, she wanted him to use it. Everyone else's opponents had cool gifts; surely this little boy did too!

His body was sent flying into a wall upon impact, the scales having ripped his shirt a bit. Rei stared him down from where she stood, one of her heads briefly glancing sideways at where his bow had flown out of his hand onto the ground nearby. She leaped over and pounced on it like a puppy, and crushed it not nearly as innocently as she had jumped to it. Looking back up at her enemy, tails swaying menacingly, yellow eyes glowing and locked on his frail form, she was faintly surprised to see that he hadn't moved from his spot. If anything, he looked absolutely terrified. Rei's six eyes blinked and she slowly walked towards him. "Will you show me...Your gift?" Echoed the distorted, faint voice of Rei. "You have one, right...?"

The boy's expression changed into one of hatred and anger. He snapped something she couldn't understand, although heard the fear still in his voice, obviously unable to calm down fully. Rei paused, her form's mouths twisting into sickening grins. It looked utterly disturbing. "Show me..."

Yelling once more, the boy leaped to his feet. His skin grew fur and his body contorted, transforming rapidly. He changed into a tiger, with notably longer fangs than normal. Like a sabertooth. A sabertoothed tiger. The Spring stared blankly, unimpressed. However, she really couldn't underestimate him.

Or maybe she could. He leaped for her suddenly, snarling loud enough for her to gather the fact that he was trying to scare her, when he was terrified himself. Rei sidestepped, one of her heads slickly catching the tiger-boy's tail in her maw. He flopped to the floor, suddenly kicking his legs out and scratching her a bit on the legs. She growled slightly in annoyance at the small sting of pain, but overall ignored it and casually placed a large paw on the boy's back, stopping his flailing and pinning him where he was. This was boring, and she hated it. Why couldn't she have a cool opponent? She looked up at her brother across the room, now in his own Cerberus form and fighting a guy who appeared to control oil.

With a huff, she looked back down at her enemy, who seemed to be struggling for air a bit. She pushed her paw down harder, forcing air back out of his gasping jaws. And then he fainted. Growling bitterly, she removed her paw and watched as his body automatically changed back into his human form. His clothes were ripped and stretched out here and there, obviously the transformation affecting him differently than her's affected herself. Disappointed, she plucked his unconscious--but alive--body up by the shirt collar with her middle head and began to drag him over to the wall, where she waited, still in her Cerberus form.

She didn't have to wait long, glancing over as she heard the ceiling explode and saw the electric student from before walking painfully back towards the exit, leaving a headless, bloodied body in her area of battle on the floor. A few minutes later, her brother was vomiting on the floor in the distance. She watched as Ken leaned up against the opposite wall, catching sight of her. She giggled as his eyes widened in shock. Making her way around the piling corpses, she jogged over to her older brother, still dragging the boy along in her jaws. Ken stood just a foot taller than her current form, and she dropped the body in front of him.

"He is not dead. Were we not supposed to bring hostages?" Rei spoke in the distorted, eerie voice from before.
"We were supposed to capture scientists to bring them back and have their memories wiped. But, seeing as this kid is still breathing, we should probably bring him back and just let the staff handle him." Her brother replied, his voice slightly hoarse and out of breath.
The Spring transformed back into her human form, not a single scratch in sight. She looked up at her brother with an innocent smile. "Okay big brother!"

With a sigh, Ken leaned down and lifted the younger boy up, following his little sister as she skipped happily towards the exit where Kayla had gone. How could she be so calm about this? Well, unlike him, she didn't kill the person she had been fighting. Still...

[OoC] Whoops I went overboard
That sure took me a while. Sorry if it's too long. Two characters eh
Sorry if you wanted to go before me, Echo. I just wanted to go ahead and get this out of the way while I had a lot of muse >u<; Maybe too much muse

OOC: This sounds like every experience I've ever had at a Johnny Rockets.

(why is everyone so much better at writing than me? ;_;)

And just a PSA for everyone so nobody accidentally messes up: don't leave the facility completely, or at the very least, just don't go too far. There's a couple more things planned before we end this.

Hope you're all having a super doki-doki sugoi time in Japan. ;Dd;d;d::D;3;;d;d;dd;ede;

To make up for it this post isn't going to completely leave them in the dust, but I just want to get a post out right now. *holds up bottle of muse* OTL;;

IC:
The lab seemed to spin around her with each step, and stabs of pain shot up her legs and wrist with every slight movement. Kayla grit her teeth and limped ever-forward, dark eyes grazing over the mess the boy had made and then away again. Brutal. Too cruel for people as young as them... It hadn't really hit her yet that she had just murdered someone, but she could feel the words nestled deep in her heart like thorns.

I... killed someone.

Despite all her pain and dizziness, that thought seemed to numb her soul. She paused beside the gory scene, not averting her eyes this time. Oil, blood, vomit. Kayla felt bile rising to the back of her throat, but she swallowed it and looked away before she puked too. It wasn't supposed to be like this. This was supposed to be a fun little demolition project. They weren't fighting monsters, they had to fight other people...

She limped on toward where they'd come from. Fine. If there were no scientists here, and no guards, then they could just destroy this place from the outside. The laser-like spear she'd shot through that girl's head had left her feeling fatigued and lightheaded, but a couple more shots like that ought to bring the place crumbling down. Kayla never wanted to step foot in this place again. Then they could head back to their hotel, wipe the memory of the survivor(s?don't know if crys/echo are gonna kill their opponents), and get on the next plane back to America.

Wheezing and staggering, she turned her head to look at the boy the siblings were dragging between them. Unconscious, but alive, and the girl was smiling like nothing was wrong... Completely unscathed. Just looking at her filled Kayla with a new fire, but a stab of pain in her ribs sent her falling to one knee.

Memories of home, of her first fight on the first day of school, of the tournament, of the stalker in the woods, of everyone else flooded her mind. She could hardly keep track of all the people she'd fought.

Why am I so weak?

She looked down at her trembling bloody palm, watching the sparks scuttle up her arm and to her fingers. I got all this power and nothing's changed...

There was that girl right there close behind her, smiling without a scratch, with her still-living enemy. Kayla wanted nothing more than to punch her, but there was nothing she could do but gnash her teeth.

Just look at yourself.

Kayla was covered in blood. It trickled down from the wound above her eyebrow, from the dozens of cuts she had all around her body, from the corner of her mouth. Most of it wasn't even her own. Her clothes were ripped, frayed, torn, and splattered with blood and charred skull fragments from when her enemy's head had exploded. She clenched her hand into a fist, clenching her jaw so hard she felt like her teeth would shatter. God damn it... god damn it... god damn it...

The exit was only down the hall, but as she struggled back to her feet, she heard a scream.

Japanese.

"Tasukete...!"

She slowly turned around. The strained yells were coming from behind a different set of doors near the missing chunk of ceiling. The man yelled again, but in English this time.

"HEEELP . . . ! ! !"

Her eyes widened and she began to limp forward again, toward the source of the screams. Were there more people from the ambush? But... everyone was in this room. What could they need help from? "C-come..." Her wavering sentence was interrupted by a fit of coughing. Droplets of blood speckled the ground as she doubled over, throwing her arm over her stomach. I'm in bad shape for a fight, huh...?

When she regained herself, she stood back up as straight as she could. "Come on!" she snapped.

Kayla took a few more staggering steps forward, only stooping down to scoop her hat back up from near the feet of the decapitated Japanese girl. She tried not to look as she fixed the hat back up on her head and charged forward... as hard as someone in her condition could "charge" anyways.

She raised her hand, whipping it out to blow the doors open. A spear of lightning shot out from her fingertips, and the doors exploded in a cloud of smoke.

When it cleared, a gasp escaped her lips and Kayla skidded to a halt. Her eyebrows knitted together in anger.

"W—... what the hell is this?!"

There was a young girl floating in a vat of greenish liquid, connected to wires.

It was a dark sterile laboratory with too much open space. All the machines were pressed to the other side of the wall, clustered around the tube where the girl was kept preserved. Huddling in one corner was a Japanese man in a bloodied lab coat. Standing in the center of the room was another girl.

Not Japanese. Ghostly pale skin, faded pink hair, unnatural crimson eyes. She was wearing a white school uniform, with a black band around one arm. Red headphones were looped around her neck. Maybe nineteen at the oldest, seventeen at the youngest. One hand was steaming, the other was holding a handgun, pointed straight at them.

But the most terrifying thing about her was her smile.

[CODE LILITH] TcTNuoh

"Code Lilith," the girl answered in perfect English, pulling the trigger. A thunderous crack rang out, and Kayla reeled backwards, unimaginable pain shooting through her shoulder. She choked back a cry, letting out a muffled curse between grit teeth, and finally fell backwards with a jolt. The ghostly girl kept smiling. "A Gift is in its most malleable state while in early adolescence. Beata Academy was founded on that principle, don't you know?" Her grin widened. "This girl is their guinea pig."

Her gun was pointed at the others now. "But this facility's good as toast now, isn't it? Waterlogged equipment, electrified machines, demons and chimera running around. You even killed our friendly Japanese associates." She tugged at the black band on her shoulder, as if it was supposed to signify something. "So I'm destroying this evidence now before the police find it. Sorry we couldn't have a little fun, girls and boys."

She gave them another one of those soul-piercing smiles. Kayla began crawling back onto her knees, panting as the blood began to stream from her shoulder.

"Unless... you want to try and stop me."

OOC: "I'll just make a quick, short post to advance the thread without leaving people in the dust!"

PostSubject: Re: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptySat Mar 28, 2015 4:44 pm

Fire danced around the metal armor, crackling as it melted the hard, thick steel. The air was filled with a neverending smoke, circling the two combatants in a flurry of black dust. Swords ripped through flames, claws scrambled to shred the plates of steel, and the powers of demons was evident within the atmosphere, corrupting the minor section from its former tranquil. An ever-so-often hiss could be heard, seeking for flesh to burn. The sweltering heat was believing it could melt the obsidian, cold - it could not find its way through. Flames were left to burn, unkindled, but could not drip its saliva onto ice.
Rapid swings came from every direction, trying to decapitate its target. Yet, she wouldn’t stop moving. The young Japanese girl kept mocking them, gleefully and creepily telling them, “I want a turn!” or “Playtime!” It was absolutely terrible. Nicola couldn’t help but start hiding behind a wall of demons, draining her own power from the entire fight. She was getting too exhausted and couldn’t ask for back-up from any of the others, considering they were too busy with their own opponents. Why didn’t she have the advantage? Her enemy had a giant, possessed teddy  bear and a girl who possessed fire… And she had unlimited sources of demons and dark energy. Why couldn’t she win?
Looking over the side of where she was sitting, she couldn’t believe it… Her spawn was just getting wiped out so quickly. Half of the demons she had summoned from the Underworld were already returning back and some of them were even cowering in fear. She did not think it was possible before, demons having emotions. Was it a deception? She couldn’t tell. What do I do…? I can’t win this… I don’t have enough strength. It was so absolutely hopeless - Nicola always found herself asking for help from someone else, and she didn’t ever find herself accomplishing something without them. She always made silly mistakes. Maybe that’s why her age was reverted…
I am sincerely stupid for forgetting that I’m older than that kid over there... a silent curse sounded in her head, resonating as a good reminder for the fight. If she lost, she’d probably be the only one who had to have the others do her dirty work for her. Which she hated. Her bangs shadowed over her eyes as she waited. She just had to wait…
“Come out, come out, wherever you are~ I know you wanna play too!” a despicable voice called out mockingly. The other girl had been bored - her opponent’s minions were so weak and clueless. It was too easy to win. Compared to the other people she had come with, she had to have received the easiest and most dimwitted opponent. The fact that they sent an eight-year-old or something was ridiculous too. This other school was clearly trying to kill their young before anything fun could happen. What a pathetic academy. The young Asian girl yawned, un-entertained by the fight.
She figured it out. Nicola found what she could do, at last. Hopefully it’d work… Her fingers flickering with dark magic, shapes started to emerge from the tips, morphing themselves into tiny, hideous demons. They were the playful, mischievous kind… How they existed in the Underworld instead of being annoying fairies, the little girl never knew herself. It helped though, they were very fun to plan pranks with.
Although the Summer student was reverted by age, it never changed her thought process at all. She was still able to think like a fourteen year old. She still had her knowledge… Why she had been pretending to be a little child this entire time baffled her when she could simply be who she’d normally be… For the most part.
”Payback time,” were the few words she uttered silently once she finished with her masterplan.
The little creatures had flown over to their opponent quickly, dodging the bits of fire being tossed their way. Their only goal: annoy her in anyway possible. They had been picking at her hair, pulling it roughly, tugging her clothes, messing with her headband. Anything they found funny. The Japanese girl was getting absolutely annoyed. Out of anger, flames bursted and killed the demons, their distorted screeches sounding through the room.
Yet, Nicola had finally finished what she was planning - it was complete.
A large demonic knight appeared, claws sharp and it was leaking dark, toxic energy as though it was a river. It stormed above, thundering high towards the ceilings and each step caused a crack in the marble floor below. The younger girl was terrified, her eyes widening. Nicola held her hand up, palms rising as the black smoke rose to her fingertips, gathering to form a black, abyssal sword - a demonic sword.
”Bye bye~” She said cheerfully as she easily sliced up the teddy bear that the Asian girl owned into tiny pieces, dissipating into the air. Her frightful appearance, shivering as the chills rose up her spine in realization, Nicola was almost delighted to see it. However, she waved her hand, the demon disappearing back into her veins. Pointing the point of her sword at the girl’s neck, she gave a simple smile, sticking her tongue out.
Her finger was thrusted towards the entrance, and she thought about letting the other girl go, but instead… The blunt of her sword was smacked into her opponent’s head, knocking them out.
”Sorry, but playtime’s over, okay?”
~~~~~~
Meanwhile, Hieta was getting through a point where he couldn’t do anything. The person he was competing with seemed to appear and disappear. More importantly… They could see him. He was a demon, a ghost that nobody bothered to look at - a simple whisp. His form would be impossible to see and aim at perfectly each round, yet, this boy managed to. Could it be possible? He hadn’t thought about it before, simply putting it off as teleportation.
There wasn’t any moment to lose though - he had to keep trying to fight. His knives in hand, swinging in a defensive position, he tried to sense where the boy would appear from. He had no time as the absolute shock of it stabbed him in the back, and out of absolute instinct, he thrusted his sword backward towards the arm of the boy.
Finally, he saw him clearly - the boy was just as old as he was, and was backed by a starry rip in space. He can cross the Astral Plane… That was all he could figure out. Unfortunately, that didn’t help him much as the boy went back up and flew into the portal.
Hieta wasn’t exactly enjoying this fight - it was almost like whack-a-mole, except more tiresome and painful for the player. A speeding person darting from place to place and he could do nothing about it. He didn’t want to use his gift in any way - it’d cause a commotion. But, what choice did he have? He didn’t want to think about it.
A rush of wind appeared from behind him once again, whizzing past his hair. He felt his arm raise up to block what would’ve been a lethal blow to his head - too bad he didn’t feel like dying again. This battle wasn’t exactly a breeze, but the Spring boy wasn’t about to believe it would be that much harder than it already was. He wasn’t about to let it become something that he couldn’t accomplish. Maybe he was used to doing the impossible, and he was willing to do it again.
The clash of metal continued to sound, an eerie screech sparking from each blow. As a demon, he was surviving most of the cuts on his body, but he was starting to reach a point where he was too exhausted to do anything. Did he really have to resort to it? No, there must be a different way.
Everything that happened seemed to make him inch a little closer towards a second death, and beads of sweat were starting to form at his forehead. He was starting to pant with every strike that took place, every movement that caused his knees to lose their balance. The other boy was still in perfect condition, very happy that his opponent was about to go down so easily.
”How about you quit using that teleportation of your’s?”
The Japanese boy didn’t understand, looking very confused as he stated something in his native tongue. Hieta barely picked it up, the best he could tell was ‘die’ and ‘now’, which was enough to tell him what was about to happen. As the boy disappeared quickly into another pocket of space, Hieta took it to himself to fall limp on the ground.
Once he would’ve thought this was the stupidest way to win, but now, when the only thing was survival, he would try and trick his opponent as best as he can. Closing his eyes, he simply sensed around him, hoping it would work. His knives were still firm in his grip, clutched on ever so harshly. And then, he heard it.
A footstep appeared down, echoing throughout the room. He had exited that empty space. Looking curiously at Hieta’s limp body, he went over to poke it, proceeding to try and kill him, lifting his katana up towards the Spring’s neck when…
Blood spurted from the boy’s stomach as a knife was driven into it. As the boy’s knees buckled to the ground, falling, he could hear one thing:
“Omae wa…”
It was never finished.
”Sorry, but living like this is the only way I get to stay with my sister.”
With that, he quickly rushed towards Nicola, who had just finished her fight, the girl who she was beating up, laying soundly on the ground, bruised. He looked at her with relief, exhaustion overcoming them both as they followed Kayla into the next room, the cries of someone following them.
Both were bloodied, beaten up, and feeling weak. Nobody was ready for a fight.
And when they entered the room, they weren’t prepared.
OOC;; This was really long on Google Docs. ;-; Like... 5 pages. I cry.
[CODE LILITH] Empty
PostSubject: Re: [CODE LILITH]   [CODE LILITH] EmptyTue Apr 07, 2015 2:23 pm
The two siblings froze in their tracks as a loud crack rang throughout the lab, the breath catching in Ken's throat in shock as Kayla, who had stood in front of them, reeled back suddenly, blood spouting out of a fresh shoulder wound. The Autumn clenched his teeth and immediately took a step in front of his younger sister, glaring at the newcomer in front of the group.
Her smile, her eyes...It was a bit disturbing, as if she found extreme joy in harming and threatening them. As if the flow of their blood from open wounds entertained her. Ken flinched slightly as the gun was pointed at them, and his glare hardened. He subconsciously bared his teeth and struggled to keep from rushing the girl right then and there. Something about her seemed...Off. She had a dangerous air about her. He glanced at the band on her arm when she tugged at it, a hint of curiosity rising in his mind.
"Unless... you want to try and stop me."
Regaining the ability to stop clenching his teeth together and find his voice, Ken took another step forward, still keeping the distance between them. "Who are you people?!" He snapped, half expecting a bullet to be shot at him like she had shot Kayla. However, at this point he would chance getting an answer and chance getting shot at the same time, considering he's already been hurt quite a bit, although not as badly as his party member over there. The previous bullet seemed like a warning, fortunately, with no intention to immediately kill.
Rei stared blankly at this new stranger with the gun, tilting her head slightly in confusion. Her eyes traveled to the band on her arm, studying it briefly before the Spring turned and walked over to Kayla, looking down at her. She said nothing, simply glancing at a few serious wounds that she noticed on the other girl. They really shouldn't stay here. If the evidence was to be destroyed by these other people, then their job would be done, wouldn't it? They had a hostage, and there were injuries galore in their party. So she slowly moved back over to Ken and grabbed his arm, looking up at him.
"Can we go?" Rei murmured, tugging at his sleeve slightly after her had yelled out. She didn't look back at the girl with the gun, wondering if she'd really shoot.
