Dancing Rosepetals Empty
PostSubject: Dancing Rosepetals   Dancing Rosepetals EmptySat Feb 11, 2017 6:38 pm

A cool crisp breeze rustled through the air, whipping past tall grasses, and weaving around bushels of colorful flowers. The soft breeze tugged at every last remaining petal that clung to the courtyard's flowers. Few still managed to survive the season's bitter and sharp temper. High above, the sky was a bright blue, with very few clouds in the sky. The few clouds that drifted along the air, were white and fluffy, similar to a cotton ball. The sun waved from high above, brimming with an indescribable warmth that flooded the air around the courtyard. The mix of both warm and cool made for an exceptional day.

Fae had taken notice to the courtyard on her first day. Something about the serenity of the whole scene had captivated her. She made a promise to herself she would return to it for a few hours just to enjoy it all. She watched as the occasional rose petal was stripped from the rest of its bud and drifted along the air. She smiled a smile which was almost as warm as the sun above. She let out a sigh of content at the peace she found in the courtyard, but soon enough, that silence was to be broken. Broken by a (few of her) fellow student(s) at Beata.

Walking through the courtyard, Bridget had her eyes glued to her tablet. A few feet behind her, Rex, her stuffed rabbit that apparently had a soul now, waddled on his own, without her having to control his movement. The little plush tried to stay as close to the girl as possible, but of course there were times where his concentration on following his sister was broken, and he would wander off, only to quickly make his way back to the path where Bridget walked ever so slowly with attention occupied by the book on her tablet.

Long story short, life with her little "friend" had been exhausting, especially with him following her everywhere. From what she could tell, he still wasn't able to talk, and she was honestly glad that was the case. Him following her and talking, life would've been a nightmare, but for now, she was safe from him speaking, unless what ever voodoo magic that made him come alive entailed that he would be able to speak later on.

She would've much rather have been sitting in her room, but having someone with the attention span of a three your old child didn't allow her to enjoy the peaceful silence of her room, so now, the Winter wandered around the courtyard with a stuffed rabbit following at her heals, well, he wasn't exactly at her heals anymore.

A few moments ago, the little white plush rabbit had spotted a girl making her way about the yard and decided to take a break from Bridget, who at this point was walking in circles, and go see the other person. Waddling over to the silver haired girl, he gently bumped into her legs and took a step back so that he could look up at her, and titled his head in a curious sort of way.

Fae took a step back out of shock, "oh my!" Her words were a somewhat sharp yelp of surprise. She glanced down to look at what she had run into, thinking it a small animal. It was an animal, but not the kind in which she had thought. She bent down to look at it, it was a stuffed animal. She tilted her head, crouched over her knees and sitting on her feet. There was something odd about it all. Where did it come from, "hello? Is anyone there?" She called out, oblivious that the odd stuffy was actually alive with its own kind of twisted life.

Still continuing to walk with her head stuck in the digital book, Bridget was brought out of the wonderful fantasy when someone's voice sounded a little ways away. Lifting her head, the girl looked around to see another student around the corner, squatting down and talking to none other than her weird stuffed rabbit "friend."

Letting out a sigh, she powered down the tablet and made her way over to the two, mumbling under her breath.

"What have I told you about wandering off?" the Winter evoked, standing behind Rex with her hands on her hips. Looking down to the stuffed rabbit who was now glaring up at her with his blank, sewed eyes, her gaze was ice cold and even though he was a plush, she could tell that he was shivering in his stuffing.

"Apologies if he interrupted what ever you were doing, he has a thing for doing that," Bridget added in her usual bored and flat tone as she looked from Rex to the silver haired girl. Could he ever just do what he was told? What with this stuffed animal's deal?

Fae leapt back with shock as the stuffie moved on its own. She let out a high pitched yelp of surprise as she stared down at the what she thought to be a harmless doll. She had yet to discover why it was alive and to her, was in dire need of an exorcist. All that could cross her mind is the thought that the innocent stuffed animal could one day end up in her dorm with a knife.

She took another step back, her hands pressed behind her back. Fae rocked back and forth on her heels in attempt to hide the slight fear and bewilderment of the whole situation. She glanced down at the stuffie and then shook her head, waving one hand at about chest height as an effort to emphasize her words. "Oh no no," she stuttered," they uhm, they didn't interrupt anything but my wandering through this lovely garden." She said, offering a nervous chuckle not only out of the bizarre feeling she got from the situation. Yet, as well from the simple fact, that most of the students did not come to take a look at the flowers for no apparent reason. It was just one of many more ways she was left to stick out like a sore thumb on the campus of Beata.

Glad to hear that Rex hadn't been a bother, although the girl could've been easily lying, Bridget looked back down to the stuffed rabbit who looked pretty embarrassed, considering his lack of being able to show emotion. Turning her gaze back to the girl, she raised a brow and glanced around the Courtyard, wondering why in God's name this person thought it was so amazing. 'Ah, probably new,' Bridget realized.

"Yeah, I guess it's alright, though after a while, I'm pretty sure you won't be saying it's so amazing anymore," the Winter commented in her usual stoic tone, showing not much emotion as she talked. It wasn't that Bridget wasn't bad at being social, but she found small conversation boring, and unfortunately, it gave her the reputation of a brat. Well, then again, it wasn't like her being looked at like that was wrong...

"So, I'm assuming you're new?" she asked the silver haired girl, turning her gaze to Rex who still stood at the person's feet, looking from one girl to the other while they chatted. He was such a weird little plush, or, uh, whatever he was now.

Fae rocked back and forth on her heels, the awkward embarrassment gripped her tightly. She felt the embarrassment flood over her like a crashing sea wave. The heat of the moment only growing more tense as the girl spoke rather flatly. She felt her breath grow tight, as if she were finding it hard to breath from the pressure of speaking to her. She stopped rocking back and forth on her feet, and kicked at the ground making a scuffing sound.

"Yes, I am," she replied softly. Something odd about the girl made her feel quite inferior to her. She could not begin to describe how or even why.

With one hand on her hip and the other at her side, Bridget tapped a foot against the concrete ground while she waited for the girl to reply and kept her gaze on Rex. With a quick snap of her fingers, she pointed to to the space next to her side, motioning for the stuffed rabbit to get his plush, little ass over to her. Looking a somewhat defeated, Rex waddled over to the girl, ears drooping and wrapped his stubby arms around her leg for support. She was no fun.

Finally getting a reply from the girl, Bridget looked up and gave a nod. "That's cool, I guess," she started, mumbling the last couple words under her breath. "Has the academy been properly helping you in finding your way around and such?" she asked bluntly, raising a hand to flip a strand of hair behind her shoulder. She knew that sometimes the school wasn't the best at helping new kids out, especially with so many gifted students that they needed to deal with, so she might as well ask this chick how she was going about her days at the somewhat overwhelming academy.

Fae shrugged, now that she thought about it, she wasn't all too sure. She had nothing to really compare her experience to. She wouldn't be able to answer all too truthfully. Yes the school was helping her find most of the fundamentals, but it wasn't like they were guiding her step by step or waiting on her hand and foot to make sure she was settled. Then again, what school did? Perhaps there was one, but not one she knew of in the least.

She shook her head simply in response, "Well, yes I suppose so." She answered, tilting her head her right elbow resting on her left wrist, her arm perpendicular to it as she offered a thinking pose for emphasis.

"That's good to hear," she replied a little too soon after the girl had replied. Great, now she looked super impatient. A little embarrassed, Bridget let a silence settle between the two of them for a few moments before she spoke again. "I'm Bridget," the Winter said and held out her hand. Might as well be polite while she was here. Besides, there was no use in making an enemy right off the bat, although she understood why this person might think she was a spoiled brat, seeing how unimpressed Bridget acted, even though she acted that way towards everyone.

Fae took a few steps forth and took the girls hand. She held it softly as she shook it gently. She offered a bit of a smile in return, but was rather stiff when she did so. Her level of uncomfort was indescribable. She felt somewhat pressured, somewhat of a lesser value in compare to the girl. "I am Fae, Fae Reille." She sighed, somewhat hopeful that the girl didn't recognize her name for its many tragedies. She searched her eyes, as she tried to predict her response.

"Well, nice to meet you," she replied with a small dip of her head. Looking down to Rex who was still holding onto her leg, Bridget let out a sigh. Although he could be a pain, he was still her favorite plush out of her whole stuffed animal collection and she'd always love him.

Picking up the little light pink rabbit, she turned back to Fae. "As much as I'd love to stay and chat, I need to get this little troublemaker back to my dorm," she started, holding Rex in a way so that his arms rested on her shoulder and he could look behind her. "Maybe we'll see each other again sometime," Bridget added with a small smile. With that, the girl walked off in the direction that she came, her tablet in one hand and the plush rabbit in the other.

Resting on her arm that supported him and being able to look behind the girl's shoulder, Rex gave a wave of farewell to his new acquaintance as the two made their way through the courtyard and back to the dorm. Today had been an adventure for him and he was satisfied with its turnout.
