The Time Masters Arrival (Open to all)

Connor walked up to  the front gates of Beata,shouldering his back pack. In it was 10 black button up shirts, 10 pairs of jeans, and 8 pairs of socks and other things. The boy rubbed his right eyes with his index and middle finger, it was aching a bit now, like always when it was trying to let off a energy field. "Damn gift is trying to get lose, Beckett" he whispered to the voice in his head, but nothing came back this time, was somebody around? He walked further in, looking around for the source of the silence from his instinctive half. Normally he was there to provided emotional support or to bark quick moves into his once weak body, now he could preform with skill and avoid some punches, but Beckett indeed help with it. "Beckett?" He whispered again, hoping for a little bit more than crickets, but still got nothing back. He sighed, but let it drop, along with his hand. "Abandoned by the voice in my head..." He mumbled, and walked to a bench and sat down.

Connor looked around, thinking of why he was here. His mom and dad told him, it would help him, he would control his ability and be able to stop it from screwing with time. Hell he could even unlock it further, who knows, he could control time as well as space, but wouldn't that make him almost like God? He chuckled at the thought, he didn't believe in God, and if his powers made him even close to such a thing, he would hesitate to continue going to this school. Power was deadly, just like pride, just like greed...but if he had neither, would that cease his existence as a human? 'Dude, your metaphorical bullshit is confusing me...and I live in here!' A voice said, it mirrored his but at the same time, it was different. It was slightly more sarcastic really. "Beckett?" Connor said cocking his head to the side. "No Connor it's daddy, of course it's Beckett" it said. Connor sighed, rubbing his temples. Great now he won't stop.

A young woman walked around the campus, holding several stacks of books in her hand. She had just come back from Rosebury and had gotten a mountain of reeds from the store. Now, trust me when I say that she's no winter genius, but reading was a hobby that she held very dear. Alicia frowned and struggled past the water fountain before she saw the most curious thing. This boy, nearby, was not only just talking - but yelling to himself. "Uhm, excuse me!" She called, her pale brown eyes shining in concern. "Are you alri- ah!" Her question ended in a little wail as she tripped and lost her balance, her stack of books tumbling down all over the place.

Connor shot up, Beckett going quiet. He moved to the girl like she was magnetic, dropping to the ground to pick up the fallen books. He took slow breathes, embarrassed that he was actually yelling at Beckett instead of just his normal mutterings. He should've noticed it sooner, and now a girl seems to have seen him. The Time Master glanced at the girl before him, taking in her beauty for a brief moment, feeling his finger tips brush against the rough concrete instead of the soft back of a book. He  looked away to see he had collected each book already. He moved a bit closer to the girl,holding out his hand for her to help her up. "Are you alright?" He asked with a moments hesitation.

Alicia stared down at her fallen books on the ground, her eyes far too wide. She took a quick breath to calm herself down. She never moved quickly. She figured if she did she'd only stumble around and embarrass herself even more than she already did. With a slight blush to her face, she started to pick up her things again. It had taken her a few moments to even notice the young man that seemed to come up to her, let alone how he stared. "Yes." She said, the blush on her face growing even more. An slight smile appeared as she noticed him holding his hand out. "I'm sorry, I'm not usually that clumsy." Alicia let out a nervous laugh and gently took his hand, slowly getting up on her feet.

He chuckled. "I'll take your word on that" he said, with a slight smile. He thought about how to further this brief beginning to conversation, realizing he should probably introduce himself at least. "I'm Connor York, I'm a new student" He said as he letting go of her hand, and looked at one of the books on the top of the pile. Quite curious this was, he talked with so few girls back home because he was afraid he would randomly distort time and she would think he was a monster.

Alicia bit her lip and shook her head, "I should've seen it coming. Literally." She laughed lightly under her breath. That was her gift, after all. The ability to see the future. Though she supposed she should've known by common sense alone that it wasn't a good idea to carry that huge stack herself in the first place. She set the ones she was carrying down and quietly took her hand back, folding both of them gently in front of her. "Its a pleasure to meet you, Connor." she said, brushing a few loose strands of hair behind her ear. She noted silently to herself that he had quite the handsome face, though she was afraid to let her mind wander beyond that. She didn't have the best experiences with guys who had come to this school and the memories followed her wherever she went; haunting her, really. Especially since the creep still went here.
Still, she had no issues at all with making new friends, as long as she was cautious. "My name is Alicia Vasquez." The summer girl offered with a kind smile, "Uhm, I'm sorry, it's not really my business - but can I ask whom you were talking too?" She tilted her head in curiosity.

Connor looked away for a moment, thinking. How to tell her...not like he could just say 'I was talking to a voice in my head' he looked at her again. "Um, we'll...it's sorta like a separate persona that has a will of its own, but lives in my head as a sort of sixth sense...I though he was connected to my gift but he told me himself that he was apart of my brain." He said feeling very off base about how he put it, he could almost hear Beckett slow clapping in his head. "It's hard to explain but that's the best I can do." He added scratching his neck nervously. Connor lowered his hands to his pocket, gently brushing his pocket watch he kept inside. "He doesn't tell me to do crazy stuff like hurt people, just watches my back and actively gives me more skills physically."

OOC: Not to be stupid or anything, but... Lilka already has the ability of time manipulation/chronokinesis. I thought no multiple powers?

okay excuse me its small 'cause i can't remember everything i typed up.
and nu, Echo. there's far too many students for that. it just means that Lilka and him are distantly related somehow. maybe they could be friends? x3

Alicia blinked and gave him a slightly strange look, "A voice... inside your head...?" She repeated quietly. Of course, to any normal person, this would sound completely absurd - however, at her time here, she had met so many different people with many amazing - and yes, sometimes plain weird - abilities... She was hardly surprised anymore. "Well, you never know. Its not exactly normal, so it must be a part of your gift somehow, right?" The girl offered with a smile. "That's quite the remarkable feat."

BiC: Connor chuckled. "I can control time, with...well I call the voice Beckett, with Beckett I can do parkour and other stuff, unless I'm filming myself in action movie style I can assume he has some other purpose" he said. The way he talked about it probably was just freaking her out more but it didn't show  her face. "So do you see the future? I remember you saying you should have saw that fall coming" he said looking down at Alicia.

"Curious." The girl brushed her hair back again with a few fingers, not taking her gaze away from him. "I wonder how that works..." Alicia then smiled, "You don't seem like the type to do flips or jump off buildings, if you don't mind me saying." The girl started rubbing her arm shyly, looking away now. "You're very observant. Yes, that's my power. It doesn't always work when I want too... And I suppose it isn't absolute, I mean - you could change the future, couldn't you?" She asked with a small smile.

Connor smiled. "Of course, but the future would or could be ever changing...right?" He asked technically we controlled the future by action and reaction, so if he did do something, the first outcome changes. The time master looked at Alicia. "If you could change one thing about your present and add something o you past, would you?"

Alicia shrugged, a light smirk on her face. "Yeah, I suppose so..." she mused, "Then I guess my gift isn't really much, not when people like you could always cheat the future." She never really thought all that much of her gift, or she tried not to over-glorify it. Her parents had told and taught her that her ability was a blessing from God and she should use it for the right reasons. And that's why she was here, so she could learn to control it properly and help people. It didn't seem to be going that smoothly, though. "Um, well... I don't want to burden you my answer, because you're someone I just met and it's rather personal." Miss Vasquez muttered, blushing and looking the other way. "If you don't mind me twisting your question a bit, I'd like to change the past." The girl rubbed her arm and bit her lip, "My first day here, I met this boy. And he seemed really nice at first, but then... He - um - apparently fell in love with me. And he started to scare me, and I told him to go away and he tried to kiss me instead. And - I - I did something very wrong to get rid of him. But he still followed me and I was scared." Alicia looked rather shaken, "If I could, I wish I could have never met him..." The summer student glanced back up at Connor. He probably wouldn't understand, but it wasn't his job too or anything. "I'm sorry... I just..." She spilled out when she shouldn't have.
