Testing, 1, 2, 3 (Open)

So it had been a while since he had been at Beata. He had gone on a mission and he had made a few friends. But Bastien wasn't pleased with the progress he was making and needed to test out his abilities around other people. It was the only way to know if his training was paying off. So, during lunch that day, the grinning Summer grabbed his food and tray and turned around, smiling outwardly but cowering inwardly. He loved making friends, but it had been a while since he had actually spoken aloud to anyone and it frightened him. His outward appearance spoke confidence, but inside he felt insecure. Without hesitating he headed straight for a table with someone sitting at it and an empty seat or two and asked, slowly and deliberately, "Is anyone sitting here?"
