Oh. Oh. Evelyn froze like a deer in headlights. Even if no one knew who she was here, suddenly there was a prickly sensation creeping up the back of her neck, like every eye was on her. Jon singled her out, in this giant crowd. How did he keep noticing her? It was like her power wasn't there at all for him, but that wasn't what made the words choke in her throat. Truth. That was her first instinct. She lived a pretty boring life, what was the worst he could hit her with? Well, probably a few things, but that was beside the point.

But that involved speaking.

In front of this giant crowd.

She felt her heart rise in her throat at the prospect, and Evelyn suddenly wished she hadn't been so quick to finish her last beer. A swig would calm her nerves right now. "Uh..."

Dare. She couldn't pick dare. He could make her do anything, and every other dare had been something bizarre and humiliating. It'd be life-ending. Evelyn drummed her fingers against her legs, fighting back the flush washing over her face. It was hard to look at him as he shuffled in the redhead's lap, so she focused her gaze on the patch of wall over his shoulder, with too much intensity. Picking dare was out of the question.

"Dare," she blurted, all at once, her voice shaky.

Aw, fuck.

Erin nodded at what Rohan had said with a smile on her face. "True!" she replied before she heard someone else speaking in her direction. Turning to look, she saw a brunette not too far away looking at her questioningly. Erin had only half heard the question to begin with, so she had to think about and decipher what the girl had asked before she could answer. With a shrug, she took a quick glance around the room at all the bodies. "Not too long. There have only been four, five dares? Maybe a truth thrown in. You just getting here?" she asked, holding her pillow close to her.

Anima nodded to Evelyn, getting up slowly but luckily steadily as she made the walk across the room again to get more beer. This time however, she intended only to grab one for Evelyn; she'd had enough to drink herself and she didn't want to risk losing more function than she already had. Anima went slowly, trying to limit how much she wobbled. Holy shit... Is this what it's like being drunk? Maybe the next time getting drunk was an option, she'd decline. Then again, maybe in some bizarre twist of fate some good would come from being inerbriated. As Anima grabbed a beer, she heard the words. "Truth or dare?" She wouldn't have paid them much mind, if not for the fact they were preceeded by Evelyn's name. Trying to hide a somewhat curious and amused look, she walked back to Evelyn. Anima flopped down back to where she was sitting and extended the beer out to Evelyn as another word caught her every off guard. "Dare."

"Hm..." Jonathan tapped his chin with his forefinger, looking up at the ceiling fan as he tried to think of a good dare. He didn't want to be too cruel, Evelyn looked like she was about to have an aneurysm from accepting the dare. She was being bold and courageous, it would be mean to not reward that, and he wasn't in the business of being mean. "I dare you to... Spend seven minutes in the closet with... My fellow pink hair friend." He pointed to Kimply, who he really didn't know at all, but she shared his vibrant hair colour, she couldn't be that bad of a person. "Enjoy." He raised his capri sun up in cheers to them, before taking another sip of his tart drink.

The buzz of his dance had worn out the instant he realized Sophia had seriously contemplating his question. A look of disgust and embarrassment quickly crept on his face. His brow furrowed, looking to the quick as she avoided his gaze and he let out a small huff. Preston tried his best to laugh and play it off what he felt like was a back-handed insult, quickly snapping the cap off another bottle and downing his beer. He let himself sink back into the couch, minding his own and letting the game go on. Hmph.

Dakota watched the rest of the dares unfold, visibly cringing at a few of the outcomes. Was this an evening of truth or dare of an under-aged orgy waiting to unfold? The red-head didn't seem very amused, quickly braiding at little stands of her hair and caught Will's eyes as he finally seemed to remember her existence again. It was almost surprising. He had seemed so hung up on that Irish lass from the coffee table. "Oh yeah, this is just fantastic." She mused, although it was with a smile, she felt a little uneasy. That shot was making her stomach feel weird and her head a bit light. It was harder to numb out everyone's growing excitement and their shameless thoughts. The Spring huffed under her breath. "Save me," she whispered under her breath to no one in particular.

Despite everything that was happening, nobody seemed more uncomfortable in that room more than Liam. At first when he heard Bubblegum's dare, he refused to believe it. She couldn't have been serious, or there was no way in hell Jonno would've actually went through with it, not with the strange ... whatever it was the two of them had going on between them. Sure enough, the red-head was quickly moving his beer out of the way to save it from spilling as the pink-hair was finding himself nestled in his lap - nuzzling in for good measures. "You - ah - ..." For once he was completely speechless, his face turning a dire shade, same as his hair.

Of course things only got better once he noticed Maisie come in and get comfortable, laying in the empty spot aside him. He didn't need to see her face to know how smug she must have looked then. He never signed up for this. Quickly, Liam downed the rest of his drink, wishing for another and setting the empty bottle carefully atop the blonde girl's back.

No, no, no way. Really? Evelyn's mouth dropped open slightly as she snapped her head to look at the girl beside her. Kimply... A girl? Was that petty revenge after having to sit on the redhead's lap? Maybe some part of her had hoped from something more lenient, but that had been stupid. It wasn't like he had any reason to take it easy on her. Besides, maybe this was better than what she could've got. Already she was trying to rationalize it, as she looked almost frantically from Kimply to Jonathan and back to Kimply again. Okay, at least she wasn't giving a strip tease. Okay, at least she didn't have to sit on some random guy's lap. Okay, at least it was someone she knew, and not some scary stranger, like the tall boy Maria was sitting on. This wouldn't be so bad with Kimply.

That didn't stop the minor, thinly veiled panic from creeping onto her face, and it didn't do anything to keep her heartbeat down. Oh, goodness. "O-okay..." Evelyn took the beer from Anima with a fumbling hand, cracked it open while mutely nodding to affirm the dare, and threw back her head to guzzle down half the can. Seven minutes in heaven. Even if she'd never been within shouting distance of a truth or dare game before tonight, she grasped the basics... sort of. There was a closet, there were seven minutes, and then... Well, she didn't really know what else, just vague ideas, and each one made her want to lie down and die a teensy bit more than the last. She set the beer to the side with a sigh, buried her face into her hands, and then sat up, finally buzzed enough to look Kimply in the eye.

Why did I pick dare?

She really was an idiot.

Without a word, she stood up with a wavery smile and picked her way toward the closet. Her whole body felt like it was burning, like everyone in the entire school was staring right at her. Probably because they were. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. She stepped in time to the word, casting a glance over her shoulder to make sure Kimply was following. Evelyn had considered just refusing, but no one else had before, and she wasn't sure she could speak at that point anyways. So she'd just caved.

What did you even do during all this? Did they have to do anything? What did seven minutes in a closet mean? Could they just sit there? But then why was it a dare?

Aggghhh...

She stood in front of the closet door, and with a deep breath, turned the knob and pushed it open.

Dark, narrow, with a low overhead shelf loaded with boxes. Evelyn swallowed and gingerly stepped inside, casting a few cautious glances around. Musty. She chewed on her lip, glancing up, down, her eyes sweeping over the walls. Um. Alright. Now what? Once Kimply stood inside, there was maybe enough space for them both to sit down if they both crisscrossed their legs, and not much more. Oh dear.

Evelyn glanced out of the open closet, toward Kimply, not even trying to mask the apprehension and awkwardness written across her face. Once that door closed, it'd be just about pitch black.

Jeez.

Well, how bad could it be?

Morgan raised an eyebrow as she watched Jonathan climb into another redhead's lap. She covered her mouth with the sleeve of her shirt to hide her smile, figuring it would ruin her too-cool-for-this-all persona she'd built since she'd accidentally entered the room.

Kimply hadn't been paying much attention to anything that wasn't her beer. The alcohol had loosened her up a little, leaving her feeling warm all over and pleasantly buzzed. So caught up in her drink, she hadn't noticed Jonathan speaking from Liam's lap. My fellow pink hair friend... Wait. Who else had pink hair in here? She looked up and noticed a couple people looking at her, making her already flushed face brighten even more. Then she processed everything he had said.. to Evelyn, and she finally understood what was going on.

Looking over at her best friend, she felt bad that the poor girl was under so much attention, knowing how she probably felt. It was quite a surprise to know she picked dare at all. That seemed to be totally against her nature. Still, and it might have been silly of her, but Kimply was happy that she had been picked instead of someone Evelyn hardly knew. Surely that would make things at least a bit less scarring for her? She looked over at her friend and gave her a reassuring smile, before getting up and stumbling a bit before she followed the purple eyed girl to the closet. Inside, it was cramped. She didn't have much choice but to get in Eve's bubble, sending her an apologetic smile. Before she shut the door behind them, Kimply turned to send one last wink to the room, and anyone still watching them.

The door shut with a click and darkness washed over them, further solidifying the awkwardness of the situation. She could see a bit, mostly the outline of the other girl, but not much else. "Um. We don't have to do anything, but like, that's kinda what seven minutes in heaven is. You know. Seven minutes of uh..." She winced. "Well, you know. But we can just not and say we did." She reassured. To be quite honest, Kimply was at the stage of drinking where she really wouldn't have minded, but that obviously wasn't her call.

The door closed, and that was it. Darkness. She pressed her back against the wall, rubbing her hands in front of her, trying to calm her breathing. Sheesh... Spikes of something like adrenaline shot through her with every heartbeat. Well. Here they were. In the closet. Together... For seven minutes... With everyone outside. Evelyn glanced around, but there wasn't any way to tell the time in here, and she didn't have her phone. Okay. There wasn't any need to get all antsy about this. This would be fine. They'd be fine. Right. No need to make a big deal out of it. Just... two friends in the closet.

Oh jeez.

Evelyn piqued up when Kimply spoke, and felt herself wilt under her words. Uh, so she'd had a couple ideas about what 'heaven' was supposed to be, but... Did they really expect that out there? ;A; She fidgeted against the wall, wondering if she should've been smashing those beers down a bit faster before her turn had come. Then maybe it wouldn't be so awkward. The alcohol had started to do its work, a light buzz coming on and making her feel light and flushed, but even with that, this wasn't easy.

She blew out a nervous breath. "R-right..." They didn't have to do anything. It wasn't like there was anybody to force them. Once again, she prayed some silent thanks that she'd been paired with Kimply, and not some random stranger. If she did have to go through this dare, then it was better with her, then... well, about anyone else she'd seen in that room.

It was cramped in here. Evelyn looked up, shooting Kimply a small uncertain smile, but she wasn't sure if she could even see it. Her eyes still hadn't adjusted to the dark, but she could feel her breath on her face, and the longer she stared, the more she could make out her silhouette. "Um, w-well, t-t-to be honest..." She kept her voice barely above a whisper, paranoid the rest of the lounge would hear, even above all the clamor of the party. "I'm glad i-it was y-you... and, um... well, y-you know..."

Hell. This was all coming out weird. She squirmed, pressing herself harder against the wall, and finally let out a breath to release her stress. Fine... This was fine. It was Kimply. She'd known her for years, and out of everyone at Beata, she'd only been closer to one other person. So what was there to worry about? Evelyn bit at her lip, and it felt like the closet was swirling around in circles below her feet. The first time she'd drank, really drank, it'd been with another roommate, dyed white hair and gray-blue eyes, her hair tied into twintails. She blocked out the memory and focused on Kimply instead.

It didn't matter. This was just a stupid dare, and, well, it'd be lame if they just stood there and waited. Evelyn forced a bigger smile, but it faded almost as soon as it came. Without thinking, she raised her hand, her fingers grazing blindly over Kimply's arm as she tried to find her way in the dark, up her shoulder, to her cheek, tucking a lock of pink hair behind the girl's ear. All her thinking and fretting went out the window.

Besides, she was curious. It'd been so long, and... she'd come here to have fun, and she was sick of moping around. Why'd she come to truth or dare if she didn't want to be picked? Maybe it was the beer doing the thinking now, stripping away all her inhibitions, but it was nice not to think for once. There wasn't anything to worry about. Just one quick thing, between friends, and then that'd be it. No one would care. Her other hand found Kimply's waist.

You just had to go for it.

Evelyn took one last breath and leaned forward, lightly pressing her lips against hers.

While her eyes slowly readjusted, it made everything seem that much more packed in the closet. Her breath mingled with the shorter girl's, alcohol on both of their tongues. She didn't move, content with spending the next seven minutes standing there awkwardly, if that's what Evelyn preferred. When she spoke, Kimply mirrored her smile through the darkness. "Well, if I had to do this with anyone, I'm glad it's you too, Eve." The fact that Evelyn had said that warmed her heart. Or maybe that was just the booze. She couldn't be too sure.

She waited there for a moment, and then she felt Evelyn's gentle touch on her arm, sliding up to her shoulder, her cheek, tucking hair behind her ear. Kimply held her breath, uncertain of what she would do. The contact gave her goosebumps. She didn't move, letting Evelyn lead the way to wherever she wanted this to go. A hand rested against her waist, and she tried to figure out the other girl's next move, to no avail. She couldn't see her expression, couldn't figure out what she was thinking in the darkness of the closet. Perhaps that was a good thing. It made this whole moment seem like a weird disorted dream, like they were seperated completely from reality.

At least, for the next five minutes.

The last thing she heard as an intake of shaky breath before she felt the pressure of Evelyn's lips against her. For a moment she didn't move, tensing in surprise. If she was to be honest, she didn't think she'd actually go through with it. But the moment passed, and she kissed back, reaching up and tangling her hands in Evelyn's hair, forgetting entirely about the entire party of people just outside the door.

A certain winter boy with super hearing on the way to his dorm was passing by the lounge trying his best to ignore all the craziness going on inside. He never cared for big gatherings like that. For one it could get way too loud and hurt his ears, and who knew how many people were already drunk in there. The winter's hands were shoved in his pockets as he was passing the door, but he stopped as he heard a familiar voice over all the noise. Save me? Oh boy things might not being going exactly as expected in there. Mason let out a sigh, he was going to do something a bit crazy. Might as well since it probably matched what was going on inside.

The winter boy let out a sigh before taking a step back, and facing the door. He approached the door and removed his hands from his pockets. Shoving the door open with a sort of loud bang, the winter didn't make any eye contact with any of the other students besides the student that asked for the help. He didn't care if any of the others stared at him either. Once he reached the pig tailed girl, one of his arms grabbed her and pulled her up to his side. He would only hit people with poor girl going out the way he came in so, he went to the nearest window opened it, and jumped out with Dakota in tow.

Sophia blinked when she saw a familiar boy enter the room with a loudish bang. She couldn't exactly recall who he was, but she remembered seeing him before that simulation or something that one day a while back. Her amber eyes followed him as he crossed the room proceeded to pick up a girl, and then jump out the window. As soon as he did that, she remembered that day fully. He had managed to jump out the window that day too. She blinked once again not paying attention to what was going on. Not even caring that she had succeeded in making someone uncomfortable. She could only recall the boy and his window jumping antics. Was that something that occurred often?

Maria's attempts at sounding raunchy bounced off of Joseph like a rubber ball on a tile floor. Not only did he have a general disinterest in such antics, but the offer coming from Maria's mouth only made him feel even less inclined to do something of the sort. His dark hazel eyes flitted over the Autumn's form and then focused back on her own eyes, glowering at Joseph as if she were about to get her way. To outsiders, it looked almost as if the prefect was considering agreeing to her proposition, but then he scoffed.

"A big rack and a pretty face isn't going to get you everywhere." Joseph swallowed another hefty mouthful of beer, and then reached up to push Maria's hand away from his jaw.  "Hate to break it to you. Fucking me isn't recompense for attacking me out of the blue and shredding up my clothing. You'll have to do better than that. It doesn't pay, and besides, I'm not interested in anything of the sort with anyone. Least of all you." His tone-of-voice was cool, but didn't raise in volume, despite how off-put he was by Maria's close proximity. Oh, how he wished he could be whisked away by the effects of alcohol. Damn his gift. Damn it to hell.

"Oh jeez." Juliette said aloud accidentally, before covering her mouth with the hand that wasn't holding onto a beer can. She might have been eavesdropping in on Joseph and Maria's fun little exchange and was surprised at the sheer venom in her cousin's tone. As someone who grew up with him, she was more than used to his variations of fuck off tones, but that was particularly prickly of him. It all made her want to know what on earth transpired between them that lead to a fight, 'out of the blue' could mean anything. Maybe Joseph just looked really punchable that day. Or Maria was going through some major premenstrual hormonal swings.

It was frustrating that it wasn't considered polite to eavesdrop or pry into other's lives. She was definitely going to harass Joseph about it later. "Ay, where's my flask at now. Toss it back to me, will you?"

Before Will could reply to Dakota, a boy loudly crashed into the room, scooped up Dakota, and promptly jumped out the window. He burst out laughing at the craziness of it. "What the hell? Who the hell?" he asked still laughing. Soon after, things were back to normal and the girl who had brought the flask was asking for it again. Grabbing it in his hands, he tossed it back to the girl, not feeling like getting up. "Incoming!" he added as the flask went through the air.

The moment their lips meant, time, thought, all of it evaporated in an instant. She didn't need to worry about anything. It was a dare. A stupid dare. Of course.

After so long, and with someone new, it was almost like she'd forgotten how to kiss, but she got the hang of it again before long. There really wasn't much to it. Growing up, she'd always secretly fretted about how a kiss was supposed to work, even if she'd never even been close to a boy—or a girl. When the closest thing you had for reference were Hallmark specials and pecks on the cheek from your great aunt, she'd always felt completely lost when she tried to think about it. She couldn't ask, obviously. But after Colette, and Jace, and now her... Well, now she just felt like an idiot. There'd been alcohol involved with all three. Evelyn wondered if that had something to do with it.

Even if the whole routine was similar, it was different kissing a girl. Or at least, it was different kissing Kimply. She couldn't remember anything exact about Colette, just the sharp scent of beer on her breath and the hazy undercurrent of emotions, alcohol, and adrenaline, but she remembered kissing Jace. Evelyn's hand snaked around Kimply back, pulling her in closer, beyond thinking at this point. Kimply didn't have the height, or the build, or the solid frame, and she even smelled different—girly shampoos instead of the familiar musk of cologne. Lighter, daintier, softer. Her hand glided up Kimply's back, trailing along her spine, and—...

... Ah, what the hell was she doing?

Evelyn pulled away, her face flushed, hair tousled where Kimply had tangled her fingers, breathing hard. Looking at her now, from this close up, it took her a few moments to find her words. "Um..." She forced herself to break apart their tight embrace, but for whatever reason, couldn't bring herself to keep her hands to herself, both hands still lightly set on Kimply's waist. Tingles. Ha... There was a giddy, absolutely stupid looking smile plastered on her face, the perfect mix of awkward and dopey. "Th-that was..." Nice. That was what came to mind. "...p-p-probably seven minutes..."

After a quick moment, still staring, she gave a nervous laugh and pulled away further, trying to play it casual, but probably looking like she'd been stuck in a closet with a snake and was trying to escape. Her heart skipped a beat. Damn it. What was even the point of this dare? What had they even been doing out there the whole time?

She needed to get out of this stupid closet already. Evelyn fumbled around in the dark, and missing the knob about five too many times, finally wrapped her fingers around it and flung the door open, stumbling into the light, blinking.

Was it... kinda drafty in here? She smoothed down her hair in a quick recovery attempt, readjusted her shirt, her eyes sweeping around the room. Who opened the window? Evelyn froze where she stood, her heart feeling like it was about to burst. Shit. She had to ask somebody. Her eyes jumped from Preston to Jonathan, and then to the strangers in the crowd. Of course, she didn't know anyone here, and the only familiar faces had already gone. Without thinking, her eyes latched onto the first acquaintance she could see.

"Um... um... A-Anima, t-truth or dare?"

It was hard to stand casually when it felt like the whole word was staring at you, but she tried her best, even if it came across as stiff. God, she'd need another drink. She wished she'd thought out a couple questions beforehand, just in case...

What? Did she hear her name? Anima snapped to attention, only now realizing that she was somewhat out of it for... who knows how long. Apparently being tired and being drunk made being wide awake and aware somewhat difficult. What did she ask...? Truth or dare...? Oh shit. Fuck. Well, it was probably only a matter of time, after all. Trying to ignore the fact that everyone's attention might be on her now, Anima scrambled for her notebook and pen, staring at the empty page. What was she going to go with? "Dare" seemed the more popular choice thus far, but "truth" would probably be safer. Shit, what would she go with, what would be bet-

Dare.
