Joseph had managed to avoid parenting class throughout his high school years, but it seemed as if it had finally caught up with him.

It wasn't that the Winter disliked children, it was that he disliked the noise they produced. That, however, varied from child to child, and there were a multitude of ways to make the crying stop. With a fake baby, however, it was all automated. Ways of calming the things were narrowed down quite significantly, there was no appeal to them, since they were only wads of plastic, and apparently, they would explode if not cared for adequately enough. That, of course, didn't really matter to Joseph, but he was sure that his partner would probably not appreciate a fake baby blowing up in her face. As reluctant as Joseph was to participate in this ridiculous project, he would co-operate for his partner's sake.

Rounding a corner in the hall, the classroom came into Joseph's view. His steps slowed as he neared the doorway and he doused his cigarette between his index finger and his thumb, ignoring the burn it left behind, and turned into the room. A good number of students were already present, already in possession of their 'babies'.. Which were teddy bears instead of human dolls, for some reason.

His eyes flitted up to the whiteboard at the front of the classroom, combing through the list of names until he found his own. Right next to it, interestingly enough, was Kyou's. A fraction of his distaste towards the project lifted upon noticing this. At least it was someone he knew.

Weaving around a couple of occupied desks, Joseph approached the small Autumn girl and sat on the edge of the desk next to her's. "Hey, sorry I'm late."

The short boy shook his head and gave her a smile. "Robin sounds like a nice name." He responded politely. It was only when he looked up at her, did he see the awe on her face. Her question caught him off guard. No one had ever paid much attention to his power, yet alone be excited by it. "Y-yes, Literacy Manipulation. Or you can just call it like the others do and say Book Manipulation." The speakers on the bear began to hiccup, a tell tale sign of a wail coming on. Suddenly alarmed, Chip looked over at the bear he held at his side. Hungry. "What have we got for food?"

"Literacy Manipulation..." Kasumi looked thoughtfully off into nothing for a moment, imagining how wonderful that sounded. It didn't seem life-threatening, or dangerous, or annoying... It seemed just like her type. However, her little moment of imagination was burst by a wailing sound. Kasumi withheld a groan, and dug through the bin of supplies for canned baby food or milk. She had no idea how old the bear was supposed to be, however, so she decided to play it safe and pull out the bottle. Carefully making sure it was filled with milk of the right type, she awkwardly pulled out the pacifier and inserted the bottle in instead, holding it in place. As the bear's wailing subsided, she let loose a sigh of relief. "Should we find a place to put him or her?" she asked, looking around for a stroller of some sort. It couldn't be comfortable for Chip to hold that bear the whole time.

What. They had to... take care of a baby? Albeit a fake, teddy bear baby, but if it was mistreated it exploded! What was this school playing at? Heron gazed at the list of students, trying to find the name of his partner, but there was none. His name had been squashed between others, just his. Raising an eyebrow, he turned to the teddys, scanning for ones that were unattended. There was one he was drawn to, a jet black bear with a notecard just below its foot.

Name: _____
Fur: Black
Mother:
                     Heron Sabine
Father:

So he was both? They knew of his predicament? "I'm a predicament?" Raven murmured, pretending she was hurt by his inner monologue.  Heron rolled his eyes. No matter if they knew, they weren't coming to fix him anytime soon, anyway. Raven gave another sarcastic huff before suggesting something.

"They need a name." Her voice in his head was clear of any sort of negativity for the moment. She took control of his hand and scribbled something down on the empty blank.

Name: Pigeon

"You're hopeless."
