The Accident in 306 (Closed) Empty
PostSubject: The Accident in 306 (Closed)   The Accident in 306 (Closed) EmptyThu Jan 28, 2016 6:32 pm

Jillian staggered into her dorm room, the fog of her brain enveloping her being until she felt as if she was floating through the room.  She basically ignored Sean; she was exhausted from the night and wanted nothing more than to fall upon her bed and sleep for a day or two.  Once the door was closed behind her and Sean had left, she promptly sat on the floor and fumbled around with her strappy heels.  After a few moments of struggling with buckles, she finally removed the shoes and tossed them across the room, not caring about what her roommates would think.
She slowly stood back up and trudged over to her bed.
She sat on the bed and gazed around the room lazily, looking for something to do despite how tired she was.  Jillian noticed a bright colored book cover on the top shelf of a bookshelf on the other side of the room.  It’s a gorgeous color, and she focused on it.  The rest of the world melted away from her perception and she vaguely felt herself stand up and walk towards the bookshelf.  When Jillian reached it, she realized that the bookshelf was very tall and she wouldn’t be able to reach it at her meek height of 5’2”.
That little fact, however, didn’t faze her in the least and she decided to climb the shelf to reach the pretty book.  She lifted up her right leg, braced it on the first shelf, and hoisted herself up.  She gripped tightly on another shelf and rested her left foot on the next shelf up.  The bookshelf wobbled a little when Jillian tried to move again, but she didn’t pay much attention to it.  Her right foot rested safely on the next shelf, but the moment her left foot rose up, the bookshelf gave a more urgent shake.  It surprised Jillian and the reality of her situation finally hit her like a brick.  Her golden eyes opened wide and she began to hyperventilate, worried about her currently unstable position.  She moved her right leg off the shelf and it shook violently, nearly toppling on her.  Jillian tried to move downwards more, but the bookshelf was leaning towards her and a heavy glass bookend hit her in the solar plexus, leaving her out of breath and falling from her precarious perch.
Her body slammed to the ground and the bookshelf followed.
The heavy bookshelf rammed into her chest, right where the bookend was resting, and the glass shattered.  A few pieces embedded themselves in her skin and she cried out softly, her voice unable to scream.  Her body felt almost numb to the pain for a total of thirty seconds before the agony actually registered in her brain.
Jillian groaned and tried to push herself away from the bookshelf, but only managed to get a few inches before a piece of glass in her chest caught on it and stopped her.  The tears that streamed from her eyes blurred her vision and she moved her hand to wipe them away.  When she did so, she noticed a red substance on her fingers.  It took her a moment to realize it was blood.  Her blood.
”Someone...please...help...I…” Jillian ended with a groan, her strength failing her.
Someone...help me…

The Accident in 306 (Closed) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Accident in 306 (Closed)   The Accident in 306 (Closed) EmptyFri Jan 29, 2016 8:18 am

Sean sat on the couch in his dorm flipping through the social media on his phone. It was a long night at the formal, one he didn't particularly enjoy. It didn't take him long to slip out of the suit he was wearing and into a slightly more comfortable, white shirt and shorts. Sean struggled to find a position that would provide for his liking, but nothing seemed to do. In an over exaggerated groan, Sean shot up off of the couch and slipped into his room. His dorm mates were still out, leaving him alone in the dorms. The autumn made it to his bed and fell face forward onto the squishy pillow-top. 'Was it wrong to leave her in the state she was in..?' Sean flipped around staring up to the ceiling, his blue eyes following the textured lines coated with white paint. 'There was no one else at her dorm, was there?' He sat up running his hand through his hair, "Maybe I should go check on her." Sean stood up and placed his phone on the nightstand, a small sigh escaped his lips as he walked out of his dorm.

The night was quite nice to begin with, but then it took a sudden turn when Jillian went and got herself drunk. His blue eyes were looking down at the carpet, he seemed to be slopping around the hallways. It was a long night and the only thing he wished for at that moment was some nice rest. When he approached her dorm the door was already slightly cracked open. A puzzled look fell upon Sean as he opened the door, no one was inside the main room. He made his way to her room and knocked on the door. ”Jillian? It's Sean, can I come in?” He waited a few moments, not getting a response. Sean frowned and pushed the door open finding Jillian laying on the floor.

A bookcase was upon more than half of her body with books lying around her. Sean's eyes got wide and he kneeled down next to her, ”Jillian?!” A slight shake was in his voice and he placed his hands on the bookcase to try to lift it up, at least a little bit.

Ooc; not an extremely good post sorry, in school

The Accident in 306 (Closed) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Accident in 306 (Closed)   The Accident in 306 (Closed) EmptySat Jan 30, 2016 10:04 pm

Jillian's eyes had slowly closed after the shelf had fallen; the impact of the bookend and her previous fatigue from the night caused her strength to drain from her body. Every breath she took hurt immensely and it seemed that a piece of the sharp glass hit her left lung every time it inflated. A few moments passed this way, with Jillian's ragged breathing being the only noise to puncture the aching silence that surrounded her.
Jsut as she began to lose hope, to wish for death, she heard a familiar voice just outside her door. It was Sean, and Jillian was elated that he was there to help her. He didn't speak for a few moments and Jillian tried to call out to him, to let him know she was in trouble, but the only noise she could make was a low, hoarse 'help'.
Sean finally walked in and Jillian gasped at him breathlessly, trying and failing to form words. When Sean tried to lift the bookshelf, Jillian was given a second of relief as the pressure was alleviated, but then the moment passed and the bookshelf was once again crushing the girl's chest. Sean lifted again and Jillian began to worm her way out from underneath despite the aching in her chest.
Just before she could get her chest out completely, Jillian heard a crack and felt something in her chest collapse. The shock of the sudden and unexpected noise and feeling caused her to collapse back on the ground, groaning in pain. Now when she breathed, not only did her left lung brush against the glass; her right lung hit something long and hard that kept her from taking anything but shallow breaths.
She felt the right side of her chest with her hand until she felt a long, hard piece of something under her skin. After a moment, she realized it was her rib; it had been cracked by the shelf. Jillian pushed down on it slightly and almost screamed from the agonizing pain it brought to her lung. Her hand, now smeared with blood, fell to her side and she looked at Sean.
A silent cry for help glistened in her golden eyes and glinted off the tears that rolled down her face.

PostSubject: Re: The Accident in 306 (Closed)   The Accident in 306 (Closed) EmptySun Jan 31, 2016 11:30 am

Sean pushed the bookshelf up as high as he could, just enough for Jillian to wiggle out. She began making her way out with the glass rattling underneath her as she moved. Sean kept his eyes locked in with Jillian's watching her every move. Blood began to cover his hands as the splinters dug into his palms. He tried even harder to lift the bookshelf when an unpleasant sound came from Jillian's chest, her tears mixed with the blood that was being soaked into the carpet. Sean gave Jillian a long gaze, "Jillian I'm sorry. I'm trying to do my best, you're not in any condition to move, but I have an idea. Just wait it out a little longer please." His mind raced as he tried to think of what to do next, he slowly placed the bookshelf back down so it laid only on her waist down. Sean stood back up and concentrated on the shelfs, its size started to diminish but very slowly. 'Damn it…' He didn't regularly practice his power so such a big object took a while to change. He placed his hands onto the shelf and let out a desperate cry his own blood running down the side, this time the wood shrunk immensely, but was still quite large. He attempted to lift the bookshelf once again and flipped it over onto its side, so it was officially off of her.

Sean fell back down on his knees and he peered over Jillian unsure of what to do next. ”Jillian, are you able to breath?” Thoughts flooded his head of how he could take her to the infirmary.

Jillian laid there, frozen in shock, as Sean shrunk down the bookcase and tossed it to the side. Once the pressure lifted from her aching body, she snapped out of her trance and took in a deep, painful breath. Her glazed over eyes met Sean's and finally showed recognition that he was there and this was real.
Sean..." Jillian coughed and spurt of blood flooded from her mouth and trickled down her face.
She shifted to her left side in a futile attempt to get up. Her left arm kept her from falling on her face and she encircled her right arm around her waist, as if she could hold her chest together to keep it from falling apart. Her breathing became ragged and every small movement brought a sharp pain to her chest. Jillian felt as if she was falling apart at the seams.
"I-it hurts...it..." Those are the few words that managed to escape from her mouth as she collapsed on the ground, out of breath, covered in blood, and shaking.

Sean slipped his arm behind Jillian, propping her up. His other arm lifted up her legs, picking her up sort of bridal style. Her blood smeared against his shirt as she leaned up against him. Panic was in his eyes as they made their way out of the dorms. ”I'm taking you to the infirmary, Jillian.”

They were almost to the infirmary now, Sean's arms burned from carrying Jillian for such a long distance. He had no way of opening the door with his hands, so instead he kicked it open. They slipped past the door and finally made it into the infirmary. Sean laid Jillian down on one of the closest beds and he slouched over instantly, ”Someone please help her…”

Ooc; hahaha. Such a crap post. Forgive me.

Jillian began to feel light-headed and she barely payed attention to what was going on around her.  Her eyes slid shut and she suddenly felt herself being lifted off the ground, almost as if she were weightless.  Then she realized what was actually happening; Sean was lifting her up in his arms.  Her golden eyes opened slightly and a slight smile grew upon her face.  She coughed a little, a hacking, throaty sound that brought forth blood from her lungs.
Jillian laid her head back and closed her eyes again, drained of her energy.  Her lungs burned and the putrid taste of her own blood penetrated every corner of her mouth. She tried to focus on breathing through her nose, but she gave up and took in deep, ragged breaths through her bloodied mouth.
Everything around her felt distorted, the way Sean's arms felt under her, her ragged breaths, her wet, blood-stained dress.  She felt light as a feather, as if she was just a phantom floating through the air, free of all her mortal chains.
Jillian was abruptly ripped from this peaceful feeling as she felt her body fall onto a solid surface.  Her eyes opened again and she could barely make out Sean's blond hair and clear blue eyes.
She attempted a reassuring smile but he was gone before she could gather the strength.  Jillian let her eyelids fall over her golden eyes one last time as she fell unconscious
