The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyWed Dec 02, 2015 7:47 pm

Jake had it all planned out. The food, the decor, everything. Tonight was going to be awesome. That is, unless of course Mr. Prefect ruined it. Jake sent out the Esper message, hoping people would come, and made sure the party wouldn't be unnoticed. This year, he was going to change. First: Ask a girl to the formal. Not some slut off the street, but an actual girl he could like. Second: Stop be a douche. Third: Well, he hadn't gotten that far yet. Jake invited Pepper to come over and help with the decor, since she was the better decorator. "So why are you throwing this party again?" She asked from the top of a ladder, hanging the last strand of party lights. "Cause. There is this formal thing, and I thought it might be fun to hang out with everyone. Who knows. If Jane comes, maybe I'll ask her to the dance." He gave a smile, finishing the last batch of snacks. "Assuming she wants to go with you." Pepper teased, putting the ladder in the closet. "And by the way, your welcome for all the help. It was hard decorating with Christmas crap everywhere." The girl smirked. "Thanks." Jake said before opening the door. Now we see who shows up, I guess.

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyWed Dec 02, 2015 8:02 pm

Logan didn't use Esper too much. It seemed rather silly, a dead incarnation of Twitter. How many people posted there anyway? It was something he'd flip through every now and again, for the sake of sifting through something to pass the time. That's where he saw the party. He hadn't been at a party since Jane's soiree. Interesting.

He stood at the doorway, but the lack of muttering or dull music from the other end of the barrier made him hesitate. Was anyone there? He began to think of turning back, forgetting about this spontaneous whim, but the doorknob turned, and he was left stiff in front of the 'Party Master.'

"Oh," he said, "Hi, um...am I early?" He knew it was stupid to accept ads online. He didn't even know this guy. "I saw your thing online, I thought it would get a lot of people, so I came. If that's fine, I'm Logan." His hand went up the shake Jake's, the other shooting to his pocket, fingering his phone. Maybe he would text Jane or someone. He was stuck, after all.

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyThu Dec 03, 2015 3:26 am

Dresses, dresses. Makeup, makeup. Useless junk.

That's her definition of "formal". Unless someone thought of an amazing new trend, then the words were correct. But she wasn't wearing that much. A slick, navy blue dress with cozy white pants and blue hangout shoes. With a bit of blush, of course. As a boy stood in from of the doorway, she noticed that he had probably seen the Esper post. He seemed a bit bewildered to be the first one there.

I'm here, too, She wanted to blurt out unexpectedly. Don't freak out. She awkwardly trudged after him, relieved when the door slammed shut. She sighed happily, leaving a small grin on her face.

What next?

Well, knock of course. So she - more strangely than usual - knocked on the sturdy wooden door that hurt her hand when she slammed it against the hard space. Now that the pain ached she merely wanted in or to flee. "Shit!" She whispered angrily, cupping her other hand around her 'injured' hand.

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyThu Dec 03, 2015 4:15 pm

Another autumn party? Aspen had figured she would show up since she wouldn't get any sleep because of it. With all of the hype for the winter formal it wouldn't be such a bad idea too have a little pre-party, the blonde had wore some casual party outfit her hair was tied up in a bun and she was out the door. She wasn't sure if anyone she knew would show up since her normal group of friends weren't really big on parties, but both Lamia and Magic were prefects so they might have too appear too stop it. How embarrassing it would be too be caught by them, it was almost tempting for Aspen not too go but you need too live a little and this would be the first ever party Aspen would attend. The blonde didn't need too walk too far, dorm 402 was only a few steps away and when the autumn had saw the open door she knew that it had too be where the party was being held.

Aspen didn't know why throwing parties was such a big deal too the head master anyways, after all everyone at beata was a highschool student it shouldn't be surprising if someone did throw a party. The autumn had walked into the dorm and it was beautifully decorated, the autumn had also smelled food! Glancing around for familiar faces, Aspen was slightly shocked too find Pepper here but at least she had someone too talk too now. The autumn had walked towards Pepper and she saw someone near her, she figured it was Jake, the host of the party. "Pepper!!!!" Aspen had shouted with a smile and gave her friend a eager wave of her hand. "Didn't imagine too see you here." Aspen said glancing over towards Jake giving him a friendly introduction, "Hey! Im Aspen, this is your party right?!?! It's pretty cool." The blonde had paused and glanced over towards Logan he had looked familiar as well, oh wait wasn't this the nurse that helped heal Lamia awhile ago or something like that? Aspen couldn't really remember the boys name but she gave a friendly smile towards him. "Hi! Im Aspen."

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyThu Dec 03, 2015 4:23 pm

Leo had oped to stay in his room and work on the homework given that day. He wasn't too much of a party person, and would rather watch people have fun then to join the festivities. That was, unless he saw something that looked like fun. Then he might join that particular game. Until then, Leo would keep an eye out for any contraband or rules being broken. That meant he would be popping his head in every now and again.

The door to his room opened, and he peeked out around the door. Blue eyes looked over the decorations that had been set up. The dorm room before hand had already been decorated with Christmas stuff. Garland hung from the curtains, lights framed the doorways to every room. Even the unoccupied room. There was also a mistletoe hanging around somewhere. The blond didn't quite remember where he put it.

The first guest arrived, and he stepped out of his room, closing the door quietly behind him. Leo didn't say anything. Only giving the guests a smile if they looked his way. However, he also was sure to be on guard. He had told Jake that he would let him get away with the party along as there wasn't any contraband. Unfortunately for Leo, no one is perfect...

Jake walked to the door, seeing a student arrived. "Hi! Glad you came! No, your not early, right on time actually. Come on in, make yourself comfortable." He gave a sweet smile to the shy student, shaking his hand. He walked over to the door, exactly when he heard someone knock. Jake opened the decorated door to see Angela. Seeing a look of pain on her face, he couldn't help but laugh. "Hey, you ok?" He looked at her hand. "Come on in." He put his hand on her shoulder and escorted her in. The tall boy grabbed an ice pack from the freezer and gave it to Ange. Jake, seeing Leo came out of his room, gave a Chill, everything will be fine. smile towards Leo and then made his way towards

Pepper, making sure everything looked perfect, turned around when she heard her name. "Oh! Hey Aspen! Ya, Jake needed help decorating, and I had nothing better to do." She gave a sweet smile, glad she had such a nice friend. "I actually like parties, they can be pretty fun." She replied as Jake walked over towards them.

"Hey. I'm Jake, glad you came!" He said happily. He then turned back to the shy student. "Logan, come ere." He said motioning his hand towards the student. "I'm assuming you know Aspen."

Logan brushed him in pretty quickly. He was pretty uncomfortable with being shoveled into a stranger's apartment, a stiff smile plastered on his face. "Oh, all right." There seemed to be people coming anyway, making their way through the door with the chime of doorbells and loud voices. Loud voices. He turned to Aspen when she was mentioned.

"I do not," he said, clearing his throat, grinning respectfully and sticking a hand out to the girl, the other almost glued to his pocket. "Nice to meet you."

She hadn't really dressed up for this party. It wasn't anything too big, most of the students would probably be from her own house, anyway. So with an oversized hoodie draped over her and a pair of fluffy socks on her feet, Amelia knocked on the door to dorm 402, just down the hall. When the door opened she gave a bright smile on instinct. "Hey, "Party Master", got any room for one more person?"

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyThu Dec 03, 2015 9:27 pm

Connor rushed over to where the autumn dorms were, his phone in hand with Esper open. '402, 402, 402.' The winter repeated the number in his head multiple times so he wouldn't get the wrong room. Suppose one can say, bad experiences. When he turned the corner he noticed the dorm room and the door occasionally swinging back and forth as people entered. The brown-haired boy made his was to the front and slipped through the door way. There were quite a bit of people there already, only about 3 he recognized. Two from showing people around the dorm rooms, and the one. He never did catch her name, the girl who saw him face-plant into the ground as he tested out his stupid project.

Connor entered the dorm a little bit more noticing the decoration put up to make the room look more festive. There were a few snacks out and other little goodies, that was the first thing Connor headed to until he stopped himself. 'I should probably introduce myself first... Food later.' The winter walked over to where the group of people were and spoke loud enough to where they could hear him over the music, "Hey, I heard there was going to be an awesome party here. I'm Connor by the way."

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyFri Dec 04, 2015 1:52 am

You never wanted to be the first one to arrive at a party. Consider it being 'fashionably late.' Jake's dorm was just a short hop down the hall from her room in 406, but she'd delayed anyways. It made things more interesting that way. So she'd stayed in her room, making a few extra finishing touches here and there, and waited. By the time she'd headed down the hall, skinny jeans and a navy sweater over a white button-up, Dorm 402 was already beginning to swell with people. She paused in front of the door, taking it all in with a smile on her face. A few familiar faces, a handful of strangers. The Christmas decorations strung along the walls gave the impression that this party was a bit more... family friendly than the one she'd hosted back when she first got sorted.

Oh well. A party was a party, and she wasn't going to miss this.

Jane slipped inside, grinning. She could liven this place up a bit, couldn't she?

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty

Jake and Pepper chatted with the others when he noticed some others walk in. "Ya, that's me. Of course! Come on in, get comfy." He gave a welcoming smile. "Nice to meet ya Connor. Ya, once more people show up, the party will get kicked up a notch." Jake's head started spinning, saying hello to so many people. After things died down a bit, and he spotted Jane slip in. Suddenly, Jake got excited and walked over to her. "Hey Jane! So glad you came!" He said happy that she was here.

Pepper watched Jake go over to Jane, dumbfounded that he liked her so much. She gave a sweet smile, turning her head back to the three that stood before her. "So you guys can make your selves at home, eat what ever you want, you know the drill." She paused for a moment. "Just maybe try not to trash the place? Cause Mr. Prefect is staring everyone down like a hawk." The girl said with a wink. "Be right back, I gotta greet people, Jake's orders." She laughed lightly. Walking over to the girl that just arrived she gave a greeting smile. "Hello! I'm Pepper. You're Juliette right? My brothers' mentioned you before."

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptyFri Dec 04, 2015 8:44 pm

"Should I go with the blue? Or should l go with the red?" The Autumn questioned himself as he was getting ready for the Party. He wouldn't have known if he hadn't opened Esper a few days ago and saw the open invitation. It seemed like a good opportunity to take a break from his classes. So why not just go and have a good time. After a few minutes of debating, D'angelo chose to go with the faded red button up shirt. Also Wearing dark gray jeans to accompany it. Knowing he was running a bit late, he quickly buttoned the shirt and headed out of his room and into the living space. It seemed as if he was the last one of his dorm occupants to leave. Well, all but one. Opening the dorm door, he turned his head back, "Don't take to long Tabs! You don't want to be really late to the party!" D'angelo knew damn well Tabitha was not going, but it was fun to mess with her every once and a while. With a smile on his face, he closed the door and headed toward dorm 402.

Arriving at dorm 402, He noticed the decorations and couldn't help but smile. The scene was very pleasant and welcoming. It wasn't a 'get together' like the last one they had in their dorm, but it was a nice change of pace. Really setting the tone for the upcoming winter holidays/Events. The taller boy made his way deeper into the dorm, spotting a couple of familiar faces. Deciding to head toward the table with the drinks, once there, he picked out an orange soda and took a drink. The cool soda was very refreshing to say the least. He had spotted Juliette and walked toward her. "Hey Jules, how's it going?" he said with a bright and cheerful smile. Noticing another girl right next to them, he introduced himself. "Hello, my name is D'angelo. Nice to meet you."

The party was a little plain.. In Aspens opinion, it was lacking something and she knew just what it was lacking. Music! It wouldn't be much of a party without jamming out too some music! So she had pulled out her phone and began playing some fun little christmas jingles. The season of the jolly was really among them, the year goes by too fast. In only a few weeks it's going to be the beginning of a new year, she needed too start writing down her new year resolutions, hopefully she'll follow through with them this year. When Pepper had said goodbye, Aspen didn't mind after all she was at a party might as well make some new friends right. As the song had played Aspen had danced along happily, mimicking some of the lyrics before crashing into someone, the blonde had turned around her eyes widened. Sorry!!! Didn't mean too bump into you!!" The autumn had said towards Jane.

The Winter (not so) Formal Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptySat Dec 05, 2015 8:07 am

So there was the man himself. Jane tilted her head and flashed him a bright smile, turning to face him as he made his way over. "I'm glad to be here," she responded with a quick glance around. It looked like Jake's message had made rounds on Esper. "There was no way I could miss this, right?" Jane gave him a playful pinch on the arm. The room was filling up, but despite that, the whole dorm stayed clean, quiet, and entirely PG. It didn't take a rocket scientist to see why; anyone could spot the prefect standing sentry by the door, shooting stiff smiles at people as they walked in. She supposed every party had to have a spoilsport, but at the same time, she wasn't exactly sure what she'd been expecting. Maybe she'd been desensitized toward this type of normal get-together.

Jane turned her eyes back to Jake and opened her mouth to speak, but the only sound that left her lips was a small 'eek!' of surprise. Just like that, with no warning, another girl went crashing into her to send her flying toward the wall.

Somehow she'd failed to notice the blonde whirling around the room to the tune of a Christmas jingle. Jane staggered to the side, flailing her arms, but managed to twist around before she went toppling to the floor. Her back hit the wall with a dull thump, knocking loose a couple Christmas decorations, but she managed to keep her balance. After a moment or two to process the accident, she smiled and glanced back up at the girl who'd bumped into her. "Getting in the holiday spirit, huh?" she murmured with a small wince, standing up straight again. Did someone spike the eggnog, or was she just clumsy? "It's nothing to worry about, but why are you dancing by yourself?" She walked back over to the two of them with a hand on the back of her head, shooting Jake a playful look. "That's no good with all these people around. The host has to keep their guests happy. Why don't you dance with her?"

OOC: Have a messy post ;-; I'm tired and can't think.

PostSubject: Re: The Winter (not so) Formal   The Winter (not so) Formal EmptySat Dec 05, 2015 1:52 pm

So much for introductions. The girl didn't seem to even acknowledge him. Logan kept his smile thin, decaying dryly as he traced her across the room with his eyes. He rested on Jane; so she was here. A surge of relief washed over him as he found someone he knew, someone who wasn't an odd stranger. He ambled over, leaning on Jake's shoulder, a solo cup in his hand he didn't remember getting. "Hey Jane," he said, "I thought you'd show up. I guess you know Party Master here." Not knowing his name, Logan had to improvise.
