A Pretty Night [Closed]

It was night time, during Halloween. The stars were shining brightly above, the moon was either full, close to it, or going away from it. It was strange but quite fitting for the night. Sophia was dressed in her costume this very night. Her costume happened to be a goddess outfit. She liked it because well she liked being though of as a goddess, it was also sort of revealing which was fitting for her character. Though the dress itself was long, and covered her legs. The top of the dress was fitted to her chest, and it had a 'v' cut to reveal the top of her chest a bit. From there the dress had then straps which sat on top of her shoulders. Attached to the straps was the sort of cap that came down and wrapped around her arms. When you got to the bottom of the dress the white faded to a red. Of course she wore gloves. The gloves were a simple white, but instead the matched the rest of the costume, and went slightly up her arm. The costume was model after the goddess of Love, Venus, but Sophia was fine with just saying goddess when people asked if they did.

The spring girl stood out in the middle of the courtyard, her heels were in her hands for they had started to hurt her, so she had to take them off. Her eyes were stuck to the sky watching the stars twinkle above. She was only brought out of her thoughts when a gust of wind passed by, causing the girl to shiver slightly. "Should have brought a jacket or something.." She commented to herself. She hugged her arms close to her adjusting part of her costume to try, and cover them from the wind. She didn't know why she was out here.. She just was.

He couldn't help but wonder what a girl like Sophia was doing all by herself at the time at night, on such an eventful day of the year. Since the power had gone out, many had taken to having creepy outdoor parties in the forest, or huddling together to tell stories in the library, or in their dorms. The courtyard seemed like a strange place to be. The only reason he was there was simply because he was passing through. Preston was certainly glad he decided to come this way, though.

She looked radiant, the white outfit glowing in the night light, and the cuts of the costume complimenting just about her every feature, especially her chest - which he figured was her pride at that point (and he could wholeheartedly understand why). Pres himself felt pretty shabby in comparison. Having finally been able to put his own costume on, which was nothing new to him, only his favorite pokemon - Raichu. He'd decided to take it far easier this year, though; with colored pants, shirt, and a jacket, every detail mimicking the pokemon's appearance. He still had the ears and the tail too boot, and red circles painted on his cheeks.

Hopefully, she'd be the type of women to appreciate his nerdery. Preston didn't make a show of it often. "I swear, you look better every time I see you." He mused with a crooked smile. "What are you doing out here all alone?"

That was a good question. What was she doing out here all alone? She didn't quite know.. She was busy with some other students, then she just sort of drifted from them, and ended up out here. Only light from the night sky illuminating her. Honestly it was quite peaceful, no one trying to out talk the other, and then one of the boys she found super cute show up? It was a good night so far.

The girl gave a small shrug in response to what she was doing alone out here. A small smile appeared on her face at the site of Preston's costume. It was very fitting. "You look cute. Raichu right?" It had been a while since she played pokemon. She always enjoyed playing the game, it was a good thing to pass the time. She mostly used it as a procrastination excuse. She couldn't remember all of the pokemon in the games. So she didn't want to say something and get it wrong so that is why she asked.

Preston laughed under his breath, nodding and taking a few steps closer, until he was a mere foot away from where she stood. "That's right. Glad I didn't have to explain it... again," An enthusiast like him was shocked and appalled how many people didn't know what a Raichu was of all things, or the people who assumed every little creature they saw was 'Pikachu'. The absolute worst. But she knew better. This made him smile far more genuinely, and he held up his index fingers and pointed them to his cheeks. Sparks flashed between his hands and the red on his face.

Once he was finished showing off, he shoved his hands back in his pockets. "And you look like, not an angel but..." He couldn't quite put his finger on it.

The girl giggled slightly at the fact that he had to explain it multiple times. Her smile grew a bit at his trick. Yeah, his costume was very fitting indeed. "I'm dressed as a goddess, more specifically the goddess of love as the costume package thing said, but goddess works just fine for me." Another breeze passed causing the girl to shiver slightly, and pull her arms closer to herself. Man she needed a jacket or go inside somewhere. "So what brings you out here?"

The Autumn nodded in acknowledgement, silently agreeing that the costume suited her as he gave her another look over. "You sure as Hell look lovely. It suits you." He said, offering her a week before a breeze flew past them. He noticed the shiver. Apparently, despite the thin cloves and the silk web fabric, it wasn't enough to stop the northern late-year winds. Go figure, right? He could probably fair a lot better out here than she could though, and did say he could help her out. "Oh, you know. I was just passing through." Pres said, shrugging off his sweater jacket. Although she'd have to deal with being part-pokemon until they could get somewhere warmer. He held it open for her, where she could slip her arms in and be done with it. "Saw you needed a hand. I couldn't just walk away from that."

Ah back to the compliments and the flirting already? Sophia was fine with that. The compliments made her happy. When he held out the jacket for her, she gladly accepted it. It was already warm from him wearing it, so didn't really need to wait for her body to make it warm. "Now I am the goddess of Pokemon." She said in a bit of a goofy voice. "Well maybe we could head inside somewhere so I don't have to steal your jacket for too long." Maybe neither of them would need it, who knows.

Admittedly, as stupid and cheesy of a little of a joke it was, it got a chuckle out of him. "Now that sounds hell of perfect to me." Preston mused, glancing around the courtyard again. In every direction you looked, every light was off, and there was the sounds of distant hooting and hollering, and shouting. The entire campus had to be one big party right now, and with most of the school in pitch blackness, the teachers and guardians had to have their hands full. "Where would you like to go? I think it's too late for another tour, but I can take you anywhere you'd like." Thankfully, wherever they went, he could always light the way.

Anywhere she would like? That was a hard choice.. She didn't really want to go deal with crazy people at the moment.. So she was just going to avoid asking going towards the yelling that was happening in the distance. "Hmm.." She paused in thought. They could go to her dorm, or they could go to his dorm, or they could go anywhere else. Lounge would be pointless seeing how the power was out.. At lot of school places would be pointless seeing how the power was out. "Maybe one of our dorms?" She answered with another question. They could probably find something to do there maybe.

The Spring dorms, huh? It was a rare occasion that he ever found his way into those. Most Spring students were too hard to get close too, to proper for guys like him, and those that he did manage to get a night with always insisted on coming to his room - as to be less likely to be seen. His smile grew as he looked back to Sophia. She was a special kind of gal indeed. "Don't think Autumn dorms would be best. I wouldn't be surprised if someone had manage to trash the halls already." They were the most fun-loving bunch. What could he say? "I think we can find our way back to your place." He stepped away and up to a small lamppost at the side of the sidewalk, touching his hand to it. A small, crackling sound was heard and the light sprung to life. He held his other arm out for her to take.

"Woah.." She whispered softly as Preston used his gift to light up the street lamp. His power was pretty cool. She walked over to him, and took his arm, which he offered. "That's pretty neat, but I'm sure we can find our way without that. Might need that when we get inside though if we wish to find my dorm." She said.

It didn't take long for the two to reach the dorms. Though the tricky part would be finding their way through the halls inside. "Now would be the time for you to use your cool gift, or to use a flashlight if you just so happen to have one." Sophia said to him.

It would've been a total bitch to try and find your way through the dorms blind after all unless you had some sort of light. Past the entrance to the halls, it was pitch black, and far more empty than he'd been anticipating. Perhaps that was a blessing through. "Not a problem," With his gift, why would he ever need a flashlight? Preston raised his freehand again, aiming it lazily at a dark lantern on the and sending a few well aimed sparks into the air. It lit up like magic. So long as he kept his gift running, the lights would follow them as they walked.

Sophia's face grew bright with Preston's little trick, literally, and expressively. "Come on." She said to him, and began walking down the hallway. It didn't take long to reach Sophia's dorm. It wasn't the far down the spring hall. Sophie let go of the Autumn's arm, and pulled her key out of somewhere, and unlocked the door. It was like any other dorm, but neater was probably the only difference. "Welcome to my home. My room is over there. She said pointing at the door that had her name on it.

Preston glanced inside the dorm, only being able to make out large shapes against the dim the light that poured in through the windows. Off in the corner he could make out the door she pointed at, her name engraved onto the door in graceful lettering. "Nice place. Are your roommates not around?" He stayed quiet for a moment to try to listen for anyone else, but there was no one he could hear. He smiled a bit at that. Perfect, right? He stepped inside, lighting a small table lamp with his gift and striding casually over close to her room. "You don't mind me being here? A girl's room is her sanctuary, I hear."

The girl shrugged. "I think they are all out somewhere. Probably having fun or something." Sophia walked over an leaned on the back of the couch. "Go ahead. I don't have anything to hide. I still really haven't done much with my room since I got here.." And it was really only her sanctuary when she wanted to be alone, and right now she didn't want to be alone.
