It was that they choose to come to her instead of moving on because her power interested them or something, but seeing how Hieta was telling her that she could help them move onto the after life, she assumed that she actually didn't know too much about souls as she thought. The girl just simply shook her head a tiny bit.

Brant really didn't have much to say at the moment, as he had no real input in what was being discussed. He couldn't say much about what Destiny could do with her gifts and surely didn't have the knowledge that Hieta seemed to have - but he was a ghost after all. So, he remained silent as he kept his grip on Destiny, glancing between the two as he wondered what to say if he did have anything to input.
