For a second she'd thought she'd won. Evelyn laughed ― a small, nervous, but triumphant laugh. She'd just about done it. Somehow. Bizarre how that worked, but she right then she couldn't really think about it. I won't be a slave. I won.

That's when he pushed back.

Evelyn felt her heart leap into her throat. "...F-F-Fuck," she hissed, pulling back with all her strength to no avail, gripping as tight as she could manage. Fuckfuckfuckfuck! Her mind raced with all the plans she could think of, each one more desperate and farfetched than the last. What do I do? What do I do? The smile was gone, and she was only gritting her teeth now. Stab him with my nails? Tackle him? Stab him with a knife? Tackle him? Would that be cheating? Ma...

Her strength failed. God damn it, you idiot. The hand slammed into the ground, pinned. Evelyn stared incomprehensibly, stared and stared, until her head suddenly fell forward and she buried her face into the musky smelling carpet with a muted thud. Stupidstupidstupidstupidstupidstupidstupidstupid...

Jason couldn't help but smile a bit wider while he watched her reaction as he slowly forced the little wrestling match far back into his own favor. He was a little surprised when it ended so soon, feeling her arms suddenly giving out and slamming against the floor. In spite of complete loss-for-words and despair, he laughed, leaning against his free hand feigning a look of sympathy. Well, well... He picked his battle well, and she went and screwed herself over. He might've felt sorry for her, if the alcohol hadn't had him convinced how funny and absolutely great this was.

The Autumn watched as she buried her face into the ground, pulling his hand away from her grip and sitting up. He leaned aside and grabbed the bottle of vodka, taking a large gulp and pausing to embrace the burning sensation that came along with it. For no real reason, he stared down the bottle for a few moments before holding out to Evelyn. "Sit up and have another drink," He told his new slave with a crooked smirk. He needed a moment to think of what he wanted her to do first, and she would need the vodka, he was sure.

She didn't raise her head again until he spoke. Her face was flustered, and there was a defeated scowl where her cocksure smile had been a couple moments ago. Wordlessly, she sat up and snatched the bottle out of his hand, pressing it to her lips and drinking probably a tad more than she should have before pulling away with a groan and setting it on the floor between them. As he commanded. Her heart sunk even lower, but she resisted the urge to take another gulp to wash her regret away. "H-Happy?" Evelyn asked, closing her eyes and rubbing her temples. This would be fun. What the hell had she been thinking, anyways?

He raised an eyebrow, watching as she chugged about as much vodka as she could handle in one go before practically slamming the bottle in the space between them. Jace laughed. It wasn't that terrible of a fate, was it? Playfulness played at his lips, "Is that any way to talk to your new master?" He teased, testing the waters to see how much he could expect from her. Wanting to get up, Jace grabbed the bottle of vodka and put one hand to the wall, slowly crawling back up to on his feet. If he moved too quickly, his head rushed. After a few good moments, he managed to stand balanced and walked over to the small dining table, pulling out a chair and taking a seat. He took another drink before setting the glass down next to him. "Come here." The young man said with a smile.

Master. She wanted to groan. He was really enjoying this, wasn't he? Evelyn watched him with an insolent frown as he slowly found his feet and made his way to their modest dining table, slumping into a chair. His little request... or command, as he'd probably put it, made her narrow her eyes in suspicion, but she didn't have any choice. Silently, she pushed herself to her feet and cautiously padded across the carpet, arms crossed around her stomach. The room seemed to wobble and spin with each step, and by the time she was a foot away from him, Evelyn felt dizzy and unsteady. Once she was sure she could stand still without falling back on her ass, she blinked the bleariness out of her eyes and met his gaze with pursed lips, red cheeks, and an uncivil expression. "What the hell is this about?" was the question that went unsaid, and the one she didn't dare let pass her lips. Evelyn wasn't sure if she really wanted to test him now that he had this new power over her. Another pang of regret and self-loathing stabbed through her. I'm such a fucking idiot.

He might've been enjoying it, just a little bit. But he was fairly certain that she'd be feeling the exact same way if the tables had been turned. Jason could hardly even imagine what might've been then. If there was one thing he'd learned spending all this time with this girl, it was that she was unpredictable as Hell. In a way, it was sort of funny in itself. About a year ago, he could've thought of a million different things to do in this situation. Now he was entirely unsure. The young man leaned back in his chair, doing nothing but looking over her curiously. There she stood, wavering and glaring down at him, but he couldn't do near the same. To put plainly, he was too drunk to be in any sort of bad mood. "Cheer up," He said, motioning for her to come closer. With little thought, he reached forward, running his fingers through her short hair, he twisted the locks around and got a tight grip, bringing her lips to his.

Cheer up. Like it was that easy. How much would he have liked it if he was her slave for an entire Spring vacation? Suspicious, but with curiosity nagging at her and pushing her along, she took a couple small steps forward when he reached out. It all happened too fast for her mind to register, but the next thing she knew, he had her hair clenched in one hand and her lips were pressed against his.

What.

Her heart stopped, her brain stopped, time stopped. She couldn't think, she couldn't move, she couldn't speak, and it took few seconds before her mind kicked back into action with a wave of surprise and panic and... maybe something else. One hand shot out, grabbing him by the collar. To do... what? Evelyn didn't know. Her body moved on its own, and her mind was buzzing with a hundred different questions and wants and desires. Her first instinct was to pull away, to jump back, to hit or kick him, but she found herself leaning in, pushing closer, gripping his shirt tighter, not daring to break apart and end this fleeting moment. Right then, she forgot all her suspicions and doubts and common sense. Right then there was only the kiss.

The chair teetered dangerously on its back legs before it tottered. Her stomach lurched as her feet left the ground and they were both send sprawling to the floor. She gasped as their kiss broke, her face burning a bright crimson as she breathed short and heavily. He was laid out flat on his back. Evelyn still had a death grip on his collar. "A-A-Agh... Um... Uh..." What am I doing? Could she really be this stupid, this drunk to... A pale and shaking hand snaked up his chest, cupped his face, ran through his hair. The side of her head hurt, where he'd grabbed her. She hardly noticed, and that nagging voice in the back of her mind seemed to drift farther and farther away. Her heart was beating like a drum. Their faces were still too close.

For a moment, he knew it in the back of his mind that he'd just done something incredibly stupid. The moment she shot her hand out and tightly grabbed at the collar of his shirt, to be exact. He had expected the worst then but had no time to prepare for it, nor did he have time to react when she started leaning in, forcing him to fall back. Jason should've noticed when his feet started to slowly lift off the ground, but the taste of her lips and the feeling of her pressing closer to him were far too distracting.

When the chair gave out, he'd instinctively wrapped his free arm around her back, to keep her from falling or sliding anywhere else. "Ow..." The small sound slipped from his mouth, more of a formality than anything, he'd hardly felt any pain. For a few moments he was breathless, his mind attempting to process what had just happened exactly, though it never really found an answer. The only thing he could bring himself to focus on was the girl staring down at him, so close the air they shared was practically the same. A small smile appeared on his face as her felt her slender fingers brush lightly against him.

Letting go of the grip he had on her hair, he pulled his hand back and brushed Evelyn's bangs away, tucking what he could behind her ear; simply so he could see her face more clearly. Her eyes were a lot prettier when they weren't hidden, a cool blue that seemed almost indigo in the dim light. Eager to close the distance between them again, he reached up to give her another kiss. This time, it came far more greedily, pushing closer - much like she'd done before, wanting more. His hands started to move on their own, finding their way under her shirt and slipping up her back.

If there was anything she was thinking, it all melted away when she felt his touch, and if there was anything she wanted to say, his hungry kiss cut her off and stole the breath from her lips. She let her eyes flutter shut, sighing into the kiss and feeling her heart jump in her chest as his hands snaked under her shirt and up her back. Oh god, was this really happening? Really, honestly, actually happening? 'Anxious' couldn't describe just how nervous she was, but her body seemed to know what to do even though her brain didn't. One hand ran through his hair, while the other let go of its grip on his collar and moved down, over his chest and shoulders.

She broke apart again, gasping softly for air, and rested her forehead against his. It just felt like the right thing to do at the moment. No words, she knew that. Words would ruin it. Reading her mind, her hand moved from that mop of golden hair and down the side of his face, until her thumb moved over his lips. Was that a normal thing to do? Does it matter? Everything was off right now. She was lying on top of Jason Wright in a hotel room with half her shirt pushed up and the taste of his lips lingering on hers. Nothing was normal anymore. Evelyn kissed him again. Forcefully, to match the hunger he must have been feeling right then too, moving her hand off the side of his face and to the floor beside him. The other came to a stop and pressed hard against his chest, over his heartbeat.

Jace. Jason. Jace Wright. Formal King. That Jason. Yeah. This was stupid. Really stupid. She'd regret this later, probably. She was definitely messing everything up right now... she'd never kissed anyone before, besides... well, she didn't want to think about that, even if she could. Right now her mind was just full of Jace. Jace Wright. Jason. What's gotten into me? This was stupid. This wasn't even like... last time... This time they were on the floor. On top of each other. In a hotel room. Drunk. Alone. His touch felt electrifying against her back, with nothing to separate them. A weird sensation, to feel someone else's hands like that, against bare skin... Evelyn had never been this intimate with anyone, ever, never even close... but it felt like something new had woken up inside her, deep down. With a pang of something that felt like nervousness, hesitation, and excitement all rolled up in one, she slowly parted her lips to allow him entry.

...That was a thing people did, right?

How many women had he been with, he wondered vaguely in the back of his mind. How many had he swept off their feet; winning them over with his looks, his voice, his smile? How many? While at school, or on vacations, or missions, or even before he was sent to Beata - when did something as intoxicating as kissing a girl become an effortless and almost trivial thing?

A silent sigh escaped from Jason as she rested her head gently against his, becoming all the more aware of how every small touch of hers sent shivers through his body. He kissed the tip of her finger as it grazed over his lips. Did it feel like before during the first time he'd tried this, back in the school's hallways? He couldn't seem to remember. All too welcoming, he locked lips with her again, barely noticing her shifting around until he felt the palm of her hand heavily over his heart. It was only then that he realized how hard it was pounding.

What was wrong with him? Perhaps it was because he had too much to drink? Jace couldn't be bothered to try and find an answer, his hand running along the length of her back and spreading out to the sides, down to just above her hips; mentally mapping out the small curves of her waist. The moment she hesitantly parted her lips, their slow, few kisses quickly grew into many as the blond fervently pressed forward, getting the slightest taste of her tongue each time. No matter the times he'd done this, he found himself out of air far too quickly, almost forgetting to breathe to a point.

What little thought finally did register was that he didn't want to stay flat out on the solid floor anymore. Putting one arm on the ground to help push himself, Jace sat up slowly - not fast enough to fall or make his head rush, letting her slide right into his lap. He whispered Evelyn's name against her cheek, his hand finding it's way back up and cupping the back of her back. This didn't make any sense to him. He felt eager and nervous, as if he was kissing someone for the first time. She was confusing him. She was always confusing him. He never understood her and no matter what he tried, she was always just out of his reach, the only one who was.

Except for now.

He sat up, and Evelyn found herself in his lap, straddling him, with one hand planted firmly on his chest while the other wrapped around his waist and moved slowly up his back. Their kisses had become heated, fervid, almost sloppy in a way, and she found herself panting for breath in the fleeting moments when they broke apart. She pressed her body against his, as close as she could, shuddering as he breathed her name and moved his hands up her back, down her waist and nearly to her hips... Jace, she tried to murmur back, but he stole the word off her lips when they came together again. Jace, Jace, Jace... Evelyn gripped at the back of his shirt to pull him in and softly moaned into the kiss when their tongues met.

When their mouths drew apart again, she tried to take a moment to process everything that was happening, but her head was buzzing too much to make sense of anything. Whether it was the vodka clouding everything she thought she knew, or this sudden great rush to her head, common sense was gone, and all her misgivings seemed far, far away... Evelyn brushed her lips along his jaw and cheek and down his neck, leaving a trail of faint, gentle kisses as her hand moved from his heart to the top button of his shirt. "Jace..." she breathed after she fumbled to undo it, tracing her fingers down his bare skin until they found the second. Her hand clumsily worked to unfasten it while her lips grazed softly over his collarbone. Another shiver went through her, thinking about what she was doing. You shouldn't...

The second button took a bit longer to unlace. "Jason..."

He could feel the sweat beading up at the nape of her neck as he quietly brushed his fingers through her short hair, holding her close to him as their lips continued to meet. Every now and then, Jace would stop, catching his breath and nibbling at her lower lip. However, there was little he could do when he felt her kisses start to sweep lightly at his skin, a rush of emotions he could only describe as enthralling when he heard her breathe his name. His chest rose and fell quickly with his panting as Evelyn let her fingers glide across his skin, slowly undoing one button at a time.

God, it felt great, but her nimble, slow movements at this point were almost nothing but painstaking to him. Yet he suffered through it, nuzzling her hair and helping peel his long shirt off of him once all the buttons were undone, having no idea where it could've been tossed too. It surely wasn't the first time she'd seen him with his shirt off, but this time, it left him anxious - with her dim eyes watching him closely and her hands going wherever they liked.

The blonde's own fingers dragged lightly across her body as they slowly found their way back to her slender waist, just below the hem of her shirt. As he thumbed at the soft cotton, his imagination had gotten the best of him. Admittedly, he'd always wondered what she looked might've like underneath all the fabric, and damn - he was eager to find out.

Jace leaned over, quick to kiss her and gently pry her lips open again, trying to satisfy his growing hunger. His hands slowly began to slide up along her torso, lifting the shirt and helping to pull it up her arms and over her head.

Evelyn's movements grew more awkward and graceless with each button she unfastened, and she was practically ripping at his shirt by the time she finally undid the last. She brushed the shirt off his shoulders and helped peel off the sleeves, but it all flew from her mind the minute he threw it aside and out of sight. Breathing heavily, Evelyn's eyes swept over his body, absorbing it all as her hands drifted over his bare chest. The Winter sighed when their lips met again, and one hand glided around his waist and up his back, tracing up his spine and between his shoulder blades until it came to a stop at the nape of his neck.

She drew in a sharp intake of breath as his hands moved down her waist and just under the hem of her shirt and shivered ― in nervousness, excitement, or whatever, as he slowly lifted it up and over her head, separating their lips. She didn't see where the shirt went. Her eyes were trained on him. No one had seen her like... this. It made her feel vulnerable, out in the open, and her heart was racing at a million miles per hour, hammering and pounding at her chest, feeling like it was about to burst. Evelyn let out a rattling, shaky breath and dropped her gaze, and realized that she'd pulled her hands away from his body to cover up her chest. There was a flicker of doubt in her mind, some tinge of uncertainty, wondering if this was right...

Slowing her breathing and fighting the swelling tension in her chest, she slowly lowered her hands until they found Jace's. Jeez... her palms were so sweaty... She clasped his hands tight, squeezed, and then guided them up the length of her back, to the band and the hook that kept it all together. Evelyn swallowed the nervousness rising in her throat and looked down at the crook of his neck. The Winter might explode if he looked her in the eyes. "S-S-Sorry..." she stuttered. Her voice felt hoarse. "I... I've j-just n-nev... n-n-never... y-y-y'know..." She bit the inside of her cheek to keep herself from saying anything more. God, you're ruining it...

Jace himself was so lost in the moment that he'd been a little confused when she'd pulled away so suddenly, worried that maybe he might've done something wrong. Even following the moments of sheer intensity that had just happened, a smile appeared on his face when he saw she'd quickly crossed her arms over her chest, modestly hiding herself. The fact that she chose now of all times to be shy again was infinitely adorable to him. The blonde let his hands fall back, resting nimbly on her waist until she found them again.

"Eve?" he called her name quietly, a bit questioningly as she squeezed his hands tight, leading him to the small hook of her bra. As his fingers grazed over it, he figured how easy it would be to undo, and realized with a sinking feeling just how far they'd gotten. He laughed under his breath, uneasily. "It's okay," Jason muttered, "I've never... either..." He confessed about as well as he could've, words seeming to escape him. As his fingers fiddled with the small strap on her back, he let his eyes close and lightly pressed his forehead to hers.

Slightly trembling, he decided then and there that things would be easier for the both of them if they weren't on the floor. With a small, simple kiss - his hands moved to her arms, gentle encouraging her to stand. It would take him a few moments to get himself on his feet again, tensed up and light-headed for more reasons than one. "C'mon." He said, taking a few steps back towards the closest bed, nimbly taking her hand and pulling her with him.

Never? She might've laughed if her throat didn't feel so clenched up. Handsome, popular, charismatic boy, with the right last name and the right charm and the right looks, and he'd never... done this? That was easy to believe. If he was just saying that to soothe her nerves, then she couldn't say for sure if it was working. Butterflies still flit around in her stomach and her heart felt like it was about to burst, but she felt slightly reassured as his forehead leaned against hers. Evelyn had to close her eyes when the bra finally fell away, but along with the surge of anxiety in her chest, there was a certain thrill too making her heart race, and some swelling anticipation.

This is really happening. She met the simple kiss with tenderness and gently slid off his lap to stand to her feet when his hands found her arms. Her knees felt like they were about to buckle, and time seemed to stop when he took her hand in his and led her to the closest bed. My bed. It never crossed her mind that she might end up sharing it. The Winter felt her heart skip a beat. Evelyn crawled onto the covers first, and pulled at his hand ― maybe a little too insistently ― for him to join her. Jace, Jace, Jace... She'd always hated how he shortened his name like that, but it sounded sweet in her mind right then. Jason...
