Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptySat May 17, 2014 8:23 pm

The plane touched down late in the afternoon, coming to a safe stop on the tarmac. Bounding off the plane and into the airport was an energetic, purple-haired fifteen-year-old girl who was taking her first steps into the Bahamas. "Oh my god, this is so awesome!" she squealed with delight, looking every which way, as if to soak in all of her surroundings in one go. It wasn't that different from other airports though, so the real adventure was waiting just outside. However, she couldn't get going just yet; not until her travel companion had joined her. Shifting her travel bag from one arm to the other, she tapped her foot impatiently as she saw the familiar shade of hair on the way.

"Let's get a move on! We don't want to spend the entire day in the airport!" she huffed, finding it hard to not jog in place while waiting. Maybe she was being too impatient, but she was way too eager to go explore and get wild to spend more time than absolutely necessary in the airport. All they had to do was grab their bags and call a taxi or something. Ashleigh had only been on a plane once before, and certainly not to leave the country, but it was actually an enjoyable flight. That feeling when they took off and her stomach basically dropped was strangely exhilarating, and it was interesting to fly through clouds, though she slept through at least half the flight. With a hand, she flicked her hair over her shoulder, grinning eagerly for the exciting adventures they were sure to have.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptySat May 17, 2014 8:46 pm

Verona had been so excited for this trip. The two had thought of the idea during literature one day, as it seems the old classic book their teacher kept droning on about, had caught neither of their attentions. And so their topic had drifted onto an idea, a brilliant idea. Nothing in the world was better than the beach, except partying on the beach and so the two had saved up their money and bought plane tickets to the Bahamas. Now, after months of waiting, Verona was finally here, standing in the airport ready to take this island by storm.

Typically Ashleigh's non-stop excitement would begin to annoy the brunette, but Verona was jittery herself and slightly delirious from the plane ride over. "I'm coming, I'm coming." Verona responded as she pushed her carry-on bag to a comfortable spot on her shoulder, and tightened her grip on her suitcase. It was all so much to take in, she remembered the last time she had been in a foreign airport had been with Dickie. And let it be known that he wasn't the best travel companion. Ashleigh on the other hand didn't seem to be much better. It was nothing personal, but Verona only wondered how a person could have so much never-ending energy.
"Now what?" Verona questioned to her colorful-haired friend, once they had both acquired their luggage. She took a sweeping view around, there were less tropical shirts than she had spotted in Hawaii and definitely cuter boys. This was going to be a great trip, Verona could just feel it.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptySat May 17, 2014 9:17 pm

Now what? Well, that was the operative question, now wasn't it? Well, with their luggage in tow, that was one part down. "Well, we should hail a taxi, shouldn't we? We gotta drop off our stuff at the hotel. Then we can head out unencumbered." With that in mind, she began to lead them towards the exit, where hopefully a cab would await their needs. While walking through the airport, Ashleigh noticed what Verona had already noticed: damn, there were some hot guys here. Glancing over at her traveling partner, she mentioned casually, with a big grin, "So, Verona, you should teach me your ways of getting every guy in a five mile radius to do your bidding, O Great One." It hadn't been too difficult to find out Verona's prowess with those of the masculine persuasion. Certain rumors and tales leaked here or there, and Ashleigh had heard a couple intriguing ones. It was a vacation, and she didn't only want to lay on the beach and soak up some rays. With an older, more experienced - wink wink nudge nudge shove off cliff - girl within arm's reach, there were some experiences that she was hoping to get some personal mentoring on. All in due time, though.

Verona stared at the purpler-haired girl with a raised eyebrow. "'Unencumbered'? What are you, a walking dictionary?" She teased, keeping in step beside the girl as they paraded down the crowded airport, Verona's head was held high and her shoulders were rolled back. It was hard not to stare at the two girls, who were both very vivacious in spirit and were very blessed when it came to appearance. Which, in their case, was definitely a good thing. You see, as bad as it may sound, it really paid to be attractive. People practically gave to you every wish, so it made Verona's gift easier to use. "If you have to ask you'll never know." Verona replied lightly, as she looked over at Ashleigh with amusement. "Seriously though, it's actually a lot easier than people think, watch-"
By now the two had arrived to the exterior of the airport. Close to the curb, Verona looked around for a place that advertised taxis. The brunette walked over to the short line and lightly placed her hand on the shoulder of a young man in front of them. "Excuse me- I am so sorry to interrupt you. She removed her hand from his shoulder, but bit her lip, in a false attempt at looking sincere and bashful. "My friend and I have been traveling all day and I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind us cutting in front of you." With that, he nodded slowly, and fumbled with his suitcase, before scooting aside and letting the two girls pass him. Verona turned around to shoot a happy glance at Ashleigh and stepped in front of the man without a second thought.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptySun May 18, 2014 4:25 pm

Ashleigh rolled her eyes. "Don't hate. My brother knows lots of big words and says them all the time. It's kind of hard to not pick up one or two along the way." While they walked across the airport, Ashleigh glanced up at her taller companion and straightened up her back, pushing out her chest to try and compare to Verona. It was hard for any girl to not feel a tad inadequate compared to that kind of beauty, but Ashleigh wasn't really the type of girl to dwell on such things. She knew that there were eyes gazing over her body just as much as they were for Verona, and it gave her a sort of admittedly shallow-like thrill.

Now they had gotten to the exterior, and the cabs were very close by, which apparently meant it was time for a demonstration. Seeing Verona head towards a line, she followed with a look of curious amusement. With just a hand on the shoulder and the tone of a woman who was in almost a desperate need, it looked so effortless for the brunette. With a barely-contained grin, she said her thanks to the man and got in line next to Verona, glancing up at her with laughter in her eyes and a single word whisper; "Respect."

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptySun May 18, 2014 8:24 pm

Verona let out a small laugh at her friends comment and bent down from the waist in a minuscule bow. Her friend's reaction almost compromised her cool composure into a fit of girlish giggles. "It gets better." She whispered back, a smile growing across her face as she watched the cab approaching. It was a medium sized car, with a dirty white exterior and thick black tires. From the outside, Verona could make out pleather seats and a parrot shaped car freshener dangled from the mirror. It wasn't exactly her ideal means of transportation, but it was spacious and looked like it had air conditioning, which was totally a plus.

The driver was an older gentleman, whose skin was thick and dark and leathery. He had a mane of thick salt and peppered hair, and a matching fluff of hair atop his upper lip. But none the less, Verona knew she still had the upper hand and the girl smiled and waved at the man, causing him to get out of the car. Verona looked over at Ashleigh as an encouragement to go along with it, and turned over to look at the man and then at her suitcase, which was large and most likely very heavy. "Do you mind helping us with these bags?" Verona asked, looking innocently down at her bags. The man cheerfully nodded and slug the bag up and into the truck as Verona slid inside. Immediately she was hit with a gust of stagnated car air, but it was cool and Verona was grateful.

"Where ya' be stoppin'?" The driver asked in a thick Bahamian accent. Verona's face suddenly lit up as she handed him the directions to their resort. This was finally it. They were here. Let the games begin.

PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptyMon May 19, 2014 4:42 pm

Well, Verona was good; that was for certain. Stifling another laugh, Ashleigh allowed the man to put their bags in the trunk as she slid into the cab with Verona. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the outside heat, and she laid back against the seat and sighed in contentment. This was going to be awesome!

As the cab began to move down the streets, Ashleigh laid her head against the window and watched the scenery pass by. It was quite beautiful in its own way; very exotic compared to where they had just came from. Removing her head from the window, she looked over at Verona and smiled at her. "Hey, thanks for letting me come on vacation with you. This is gonna be awesome!" She was really excited for what awaited them, and it was especially cool to be going with someone else.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptyTue May 20, 2014 8:33 pm

Verona turned her back to Ashleigh and stared out the window, watching the scenery around her change. It all changed so suddenly; small shacks, to dense lines of palm trees, then suddenly... soft white sand blanketed by the gentle lick of the ocean's bay. It was simple and beautiful and warm, the perfect setting for a trip planned according to party and let loose. "Yeah, sure." Verona replied mindlessly, not turning to look over at Ashleigh, as she was too distracted by the passing scenery. Suddenly realizing she was probably being rude, Verona turned her head over her shoulder and offered up a small half smile. "Seriously, this is going to be great..." Then leaning in closer and lowering her voice so that the cab driver was sure not to hear them, she added in. "Our resort totally has a casino in it too. I checked."

Well, now this was interesting. The mention of a casino caught Ashleigh's interest, and her ears perked up as she thought about the fun they could have there. It wasn't like she had oodles of cash, but she had a bit of spending money, so why not play the tables a bit? Her father had taught her some gambling stuff when she was in middle school, and she had just picked up on it rather easily. He did say that he would take her to Vegas and an actual casino when she was eighteen, but what was the harm in going to one a little bit ahead of schedule? "I know what we're doing then," she whispered back excitedly, having to force herself to keep her voice down for the driver's "benefit". "I'm actually pretty good at shooting dice. You'll have to blow on the dice for me, of course."

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptyThu May 22, 2014 7:30 pm

Verona's mother was a very, very lucky women. Just because you probably don't get where I'm going with this, Verona's mom, Wisteria, had the ability of Luck Manipulation. And as far as she could remember, the brunette had grown up playing card games. Her mother had a natural knack for the art of gambling and all though the red head had tried to teach her children her ways, it seemed that the luckiest Verona ever got was her ease to get lucky if she ever wanted to. Not that this really seemed to matter at the moment, being in a casino was a different thing all together. But Verona knew a few things about casinos and gambling... and matched with her determined ways, she knew she would do anything in her will to win. Even if it meant being a part of some superstitious ritual of blowing on the dice. "It's a plan." She cooed in a gitty tone, staring out the window as they rolled up to the large resort.
It was a large layout, spread out along the beach with multiple palm trees, and sand, and a large pool equip with a large water slide and a swim-up bar. It was unlike anything the brunette had ever stayed at, and she was shocked at how the two got lucky enough to stay here.

Verona shoved the driver the money due for the ride and was greeted warmly by a tall bellboy, who was dressed cordially, although looked laid back with a tropical printed tie. He retreived their bags from the trunk and offered up a small smile and a polite dip of his head. "Welcome to the Bahamas."

The cab pulled up to the resort, and Ashleigh got out of it with Verona. With the bellboy getting their luggage, all she had to do was walk into where they would be staying for their vacation. Saying that it was grand would definitely be an understatement: it was fucking awesome! Everything looked so rich and fancy, and the purple-haired girl took some time to look all around the hotel/resort/living place thing. It was more than likely that Verona would check in anyway. She was older, and her elder status - in relation to Ashleigh - would be imperative in helping get the younger female around the obstacles known as 'age limits'. Not that she was particularly worried. It wasn't like she was one to take no for the be all end all.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptySat May 31, 2014 8:51 am

Three steps into the resort and immediately Verona felt under-dressed. The floors were a rich marble, complete with a clean line of pillars and intricate wooden paneling. Even in her white sundress the girl felt utterly understated and thanked her lucky stars that she hadn't opted for her comfy sweatpants, even though she had contemplated wearing them. Verona turned her head to see what Ashleigh was wearing, since before her excitement hadn't allowed her a chance to be observant. As bad as it may sound, Verona sincerely hoped Ashleigh wasn't dressed nicer than her. If they were going to suffer through being under-dressed Verona wanted to do it with a friend-- in reality, Verona was being completely ridiculous, because she honestly looked fine.

The service here was also good, because in minutes Verona had the keys to their room. The keys were the same rectangular shape but the two differed in design. The brunette quickly chose the one with a picture of a baby and mother dolphin on it and offered Ashleigh the key decorated with a picture of a sea turtle. After the key situation was settled and the two had made it to their room- which was huge and lofty with two full beds, a huge bathroom, and a small sitting area/kitchen- Verona sat down on an orange spinny chair in their room and twirled it so that it faced her colorful friend. "So do you want to do first?" Their hotel offered many features, the obvious ones were the beach and casino, but they also offered massages, swimming with dolphins, water slides and other beachy stuff that Lil cannot think of. Typically these amenities required a reservation, but it was easy to see that Verona had a way with people.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptyTue Jun 03, 2014 5:14 pm

Verona didn't have anything to worry about. It wasn't like Ashleigh felt like getting dressed up on vacation. Isn't that what vacations were for: to be lazy? In conclusion, she was wearing a simple navy-blue skirt and a matching blouse: the perfect colors to match the water, or something like that. The color scheme was kinda offset by her socks, however. Her thigh-highs were a lovingly shocking pink and green, so you couldn't say she wasn't noticeable. Whether that was good or bad remained to be seen. Still, it wasn't like she cared about what other people thought about her. Ignorance is bliss, after all. She looked over and saw Verona looking her way, though the true intents of the pretty girl's purpose were not known. Still, she smiled all the same.

With keycard in hand - the sea turtle was kind of cute, though Ashleigh was a bit jealous that Verona got the dolphins - the two ladies were able to enjoy the comforts of luxury in their room. As soon as she entered the room, the purple-haired lass jumped on the bed, bouncing and landing with a satisfied sigh. "Ah, this is the life." They couldn't rest there forever, though: they had to decide what to do with their time. Verona was the one to bring it up, so Ashleigh sat up and thought about it for a moment. "Oh! We should go to the casino! We'll just win us some more cash for more fun!" Because you always win when casinos are involved. With that established, she hopped onto her feet and smiled excitedly. "Shall we go now?"

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted Empty
PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptyFri Jun 13, 2014 8:10 pm

Verona swiveled back and forth as she impatiently awaited Ashleigh's response. Immediately she found herself disappointed with the answer she received. Casino? But it was only two o'clock! Casinos were for later, when it was dark and their wasn't cute boys waiting for them on the beach. "Tempting, but I had something else in mind." Verona said slowly, egging her friend on before giving her a small shrug. "I mean, if you want to go to the casino that's fine. I just... well, there was a group of boys down by the bar..."

Manipulative. It was really the only accurate way to describe her. Except maybe a bitch, but the two seemed practically interchangeable in her case. Verona Andrews was a woman who knew what she wanted and sometimes she walked all over people to achieve her goals. Maybe this wasn't a good example, since Verona would still go gamble if that's what her friend only wanted to do. But here they were, at this grand hotel and needless to say she wanted to at least be out in the sun or by the water. If Ashleigh wasn't up for that, than fine, but Verona wasn't going to give up without an attempt at persuasion. It was in her nature after all.

PostSubject: Re: Vacation, All I Ever Wanted   Vacation, All I Ever Wanted EmptyTue Jun 17, 2014 4:47 pm

A slight frown appeared on Ashleigh's face as she turned her attention to Verona, feeling a bit… well, feeling like maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all. Verona had a point, after all: they could always gamble, but those boys would only be there so long. They were probably waiting for two very attractive women, and these two just happened to be two very attractive women. That girl sure was smart. Shaking her head in slight confusion, she put on another bright smile and nodded. "Yeah, you're right! What would their vacation be without us down there?" Hopping back onto her feet, she grabbed her room key and, not having any pockets to hold it, slipped it into her shirt. The thought didn't really occur to her that she had changed her mind about what they were going to do so quickly, nor that there may have been outside assistance in that change. Tipping her head towards her friend, she presented herself with a toothy smile. "Let's rock!"
